Have ordered from here in the past and always had good food. Don't know if the owners have changed or they have a change of staff but tonights meal was tasteless, the sauces were thin, there was a distinct lack of meat in the chicken dish.

Absolutely beautiful food. I always tend to go to restaurant. And tonight fancied it but couldn’t leave the house as I have a litter of pups. The restaurant quality delivered and was a fine experience eating from home. Delicious, super large portions too. Excellent pricing. 10/10!

Very late order bad communication could have collected order if was told it was going to be that late order was placed over a hour in advance and would have been good if someone had rang and said they had driver shortage pity because food was good got 3.00 refund for delivery charge

Always, always late. Might be where I live so I’ll go to Ocean Rd in the future.

I understand this was NY and a lot of orders but this was horrendously late. I can only assume we forgotten because when the food came it was very poor, what they scraped up at the last minute. This is really a shame. I order from them regularly but never again.

The food was fantastic so went back for a takeaway a few days later 😋

Food was amazing, delivery on time.

The starter was missing from the original collection but this was resolved with one quick phone call and it was subsequently delivered to our address.

I visited with 8 others and we were welcomed by a friendly and comfortable restaurant. The food was delicious and our 4 year old daughter was accommodated and catered for very well. There isn't an Alcohol license but there are plenty of stores within 2mins walk of the restaurant. Including a Tesco express directly opposite. A very enjoyable evening.

Curry had a top of floating fat... Couldn't eat it, shame as Ive ordered from here a bit. Don't know if I'll be returning.

An really good experience at the restaurant.Food was very good with excellent size portions.Alchohol seeds to be brought in an there is no license,this is not a problem as there is a Tesco open late opposite the restaurant. Only negative was the chicken was slightly overcooked,but not a massive problem. Will definitely return.

Used Alishaan for a take away. Member of staff attempted to short change me and obviously knew, soon as I made him aware he gave me the right change, without even looking what he had initially gave me. Food was ok, though not the best Indian meal I’ve ever had. Very Expensive for a take away meal.

First order was great, but tonight quality was disappointing lacked the spice of Indian food 😕

Pakora not nice lamb curry was fine egg fried rice didnt like the extra bits in it asked for garlic bread not sure what bread was sent was very sweet samosa be nicer if were deep fried

Ordered the Lamb Shashlik and although it was labelled up correctly, it was actually chicken inside. Other than that the food was decent as normal.

Always amazing food from here. The curries and the tandoori grills contain plenty high quality meat.

Oh wow. Pipped here spur of the moment. Such friendly staff. Service really quick but encouraged us to take our time. The food was delicious. I have no negatives. Will definitely recommend and come again.

The food was really tasty as always but the dansak was very spicy. It does usually have spice but this was very hot. I unfortunately couldn’t eat it as it was too hot for me. My Husband loves spicy food and he found it very spicy too, as if chilli flakes had been added.

We Eat here usually once a week.Food is fabulous always had good food here been so many times. The staff make you feel at home, nothing is too much trouble. You can take your own bottle for a small corkage fee or buy soft drinks in the restaurant. Give it a go you won’t be disappointed-Darren and Victoria, Roker

Fabulous food, lovely staff and reasonably priced. For those who don't know you bring your own drinks, there is a small charge for use of glasses per person but it's loads cheaper in the long run. Been a few times now and never been disappointed.

Would definitely recommend this Indian restaurant .first class, you must bring your own alcoholic drink, but that's not a problem because there's a shop over the road to buy it from. So don't let it put you off trying the restaurant.

First time visit, and it won't be the last. Food was really great, was funny talking our own drink, but ice, soft drinks and glasses provided by the restaurant. I can well recommend this little gem. 5*

Overall good value for money however chicken was quite dry

the food was just warm and had no taste .the poppadoms tasted like soap so sorry will not be returning to the restaurant again as it is only a five minute drive and cold and tasteless not happy

Food was beautiful, red hot, all packed up really well and delivery driver was dead friendly. Couldn’t fault the restaurant/service.

The chicken tikka masala wasn’t nice at all, it had an off taste - almost like the cream was off? And it definitely didn’t have any coconut in it.

One of the worst restaurants , this restaurant doesn’t know how to cook Asian food properly, food wasn’t cooked properly , very nasty and disgusting , Waste of money , waste of time I would have go somewhere else , went first time and did not like the whole experience at this restaurant. I won’t recommend this to anyone. Very very poor food and dirty service

app did not allow me to do two separate meal deals and sent me the same one twice instead of a different one . I couldn't eat the curry :(

Big changes for a small but exceptional businesses. I have totally changed my mind from a review a few years ago and I truly hope this place gets the 4 star review it deserves and in time possibly 5 star. We went as part of a large group around 20 0f us. Everyone agreed the food was divine and catered to each individual palette. Very clean, pristine table cloths and cutlery with a decent weight. The atmosphere was relaxed and we were all made to feel most welcome. I would definitely go back and would retract my previous review. X

My friends and I were at ALISHAAN BY THE SEA last night. The food service and atmosphere was absolutely 1st Class. If you havnt been to this fabulous restaurant I would say give it a try you WILL NOT be disappointed. Big thank you to ALL the staff

Very poor quality, Supposed Balti was absolutely swimming in oil and was tasteless,Also Luke warm, which was unusual as it turned up about 40 minutes early..Ended up binning the full meal, only thing that was ok was the Nan bread.Wifes meal wasn’t any better, tasteless and wasn’t as ordered. Have used these before and was ok, don’t know if they’ve changed Chef or just having a bad day, But for what it cost was a disgrace…

Absolutely beautiful food every time. Would definitely recommend anyone to go or have a take out delivered. Beats all sea front Indian restaurants.. and if you eat in you can Take your own alcohol. Please try it, you won't be disappointed.

Always top drawer food, go above and beyond with service, regular visitor to sit in at the restaurant and its just as good as a takeaway, always cater for me being fussy too, thanks team Alishaan 👏🏻

Eaten from here on many occasions but this time disappointing. King prawn starter at nearly £7 and greasy with only 2 small King Prawns. When paying £3 delivery plus surcharge you'd hope at least the portions would be a fair standard. Sadly, I'll think twice about ordering from here next time

I ordered Chicken Tikka Masala and it was watery. There was only 6 pieces of chicken tikka in, it was more like soup than it was curry. This is unusual, because the curries or normally spot on from here. I did order it just before closing time so that might have had an effect on the quality of it, I don’t know. I still paid good money for it plus delivery charges and I get watered down curry. No good at all.

Really disappointed, I have ordered from Alishaan many times with no problem. On this occasion food was ordered 18:30 and didn’t come until 20:50. My wife phoned at 20:11 to ask why no delivery, she was told driver had left and on way to drop off at our house first which is 10 minutes drive from Alishaan. Food was cold.

We had no salad or yoghurt with our chicken tikka starter but it was still nice.

Delicious food. Reasonably priced!

A group of us celebrated here, and not only was the food amazing (with good choices for vegetarians too). But, the staff were lovely and went out of their way to help us make the day special. They added sparklers and candles to the cake we brought along to the restaurant. Couldn’t fault the place and I’ll definitely return in the near future.

First poor meal we have had from here, Chicken dansak only have x3 very small pieces of chicken in a full serving. Never had this issue before. A little disappointed.

Average food And over 1 hour late After finally receiving our food over 1hr late .we were told .the restaurant was busy. And that's that . Very disappointed with the customer service of this restaurant The food was also average at best .
