The best restaurants serving Indian food in Whitechapel Tower Hamlets London

I have been eating Cyrus Todiwala's food for 20 years. He offers the best Indian food in London. They were in Whitechapel for 25 years, but the new location at Royal Albert Wharf is lovely. It's worth the easy ride from central London. The restaurant is beautifuly appointed and right on the water. On our recent lunch we started with the delicious beet root samosa chaat, the green papaya and mango salad, and the scrumptious garlic chilli and ginger prawn balls. All were outstanding. We went veg with a baigan bharta, saag paneer, and the not-to- be-missed dal tadka. The chilli cheese nan is a must. We don't usually do dessert but Cyrus' kulfi is irresistible. I had my favorite rose kulfi and my partner opted for the hazelnut chocolate almond. Just scrumptious. Don't miss the masala tea. The service is excellent. Cyrus and Pervin are genial hosts who really care about your experience. The venue is good for groups and parties. You will not be disappointed.

This is a lovely little restaurant with top notch food that belies the humble exterior. Friendly and efficient service in a cosy room. We had papadums, starts, and mains. The onion chutney is AMAZING. All good food, nicely cooked, hot and fresh, and good sized portions.

I’m very happy to have discovered this place. The food is beautiful. I go for the butter chicken, Dansak and tikka masala. I have been to hundreds of Indian restaurants in London and The Indian Butler is the best by far.

My partner and I have come on vacation to London for five days and four nights. Three of the four nights we have dinner here. We liked it so much the first day and we had it so close to the hostel that it was the most comfortable. The waiters were wonderful, very friendly, kind and we even established very fruitful conversations. Without a doubt, if we return to London we will come to visit them again. Even though we didn't book a table, they managed to arrange a walk in for 9 people within 10 minutes which was brilliant. Our food came out in good time, and as always the the food quality is brilliant. Special thank you to Saif who looked after our table, great service!

Deliciosa comida! Especialmente Samosa Chaat, Pani Puri, Hareem, Lamb Biriyani y Charsi Karai, y más... ¡Difícil de elegir! El ambiente es bastante moderno con sillas cómodas. Adecuado para el almuerzo y la cena informal con familiares y amigos. Si usted está buscando un buen restaurante pakistaní con deliciosa comida auténtica pakistaní en el este de Londres, este es el lugar!

Solo basura. El servicio al cliente fue horrible. Nombre es phitha ghor. Pero había menos pithas. Y la calidad era mala.

Very bad food - if I cook in sleep (and I don't cook), that would taste better than this.
