This place was amazing. Started off with an awesome free appetizer that was kind of like onion rings. Rice, Naan, and main dishes were delicious. Remember, BYOB, and they only take cash.

This place never fails to amaze me with their service and how flavoursome there dishes are. The lamb biryani is perfect and full of flavour and spices. Onion bhaji is a must and I’ve never tasted a bhajo like it and very good portions. Saag paneer is alway perfect and definitely spicy. This place has to be the best curry house in London and very affordable and they really look after you there

Poor service. Very bad unprofessional service from that small lady waitress. Needs to learn some customer service skills before working in hospitality. Overall. Don't go there. Food is oily, service is crap, save your money for elsewhere!

This restaurant has become an absolute disgrace. We were served stale, inedible food, and when we politely pointed it out, the staff and owners became aggressively abusive. Their refusal to take any responsibility or even acknowledge the issue was shocking. What was once a respected establishment has now turned into a nightmare. The complete lack of professionalism and basic decency is appalling. Avoid this place at all costs—it’s a toxic environment with terrible food and even worse service. You’ve been warned.

I have been going there for last 15 years. But in last 1 year, in all the visits, we have been forced to pay our bills in CASH despite card machine working. It becomes an embarrassing scene when they make all excuses that wifi is down, machine not working, there is a cash machine outside, etc etc When we insisted that many in out group did not carry any debit card and had just credit cards with them. They brought the cash machine from inside. Not sure if others are also facing this issue. But it looks like a huge tax dodging is now happening at this restaurant and needs to be reported to authorities.

If you like spicy it's the best otherwise give up, they don't serve alcohol but if you want to feel like a local you can go out and buy wine or cold beer at the grocery store next to the place and consume them at the table

Not what they used to be. Was tempted to leave halfway during our recent visit because the staff seemed like they could not care less about serving us. - inattentive staff - we had to wait around for ages for them to notice us every time we wanted to place an order or request for something - forgot some of our orders and other tables were served before us - very small portions of food, taste was nothing to write home about - tired deco and setting - insisted they only accept cash, even though signs said they accept card and we could even see other tables paying by card (if they would like to show preferential treatment to other customers, at least they can be subtle about it!)

The food was amazing!! We ordered Chicken Biryani, Paneer Chilli and some naans. Everything was delicious and felt like home cooked food. If you’re homesick, please do visit this place. 10/10 recommended! We also had the pleasure to be served by Ozi. He was very lovely and kind. 😊

Bustling restaurant. Lamb Nihari was excellent.

Not what it used to be. On my recent visit, I was really disappointed. Food was tasteless. Even the kebabs were very average. My local BBQ express does much better food then them. Not sure if the chefs or management is changed. I visited after few years but won't recommend it to a anyone.

The meat had a very strong flavour of bicarbonate , the rest of the food was average , there were people getting drunk and really loud , the waiters were not helpful or friendly at all , wouldn't waste my time going there again !

The staff were so kind and the food was incredible. The dry lamb curry is spectacular. They took us in the kitchen and let us cook a naan as well.

Save your money and go somewhere else !! poor service, low-quality and poorly prepared food, most of our friends just had one bite and left all food as it is. The food was pre prepared and served cold on table. We have been to so many Indian-Pakistani restaurants but this restaurant is going to be our least favourite for sure. Only lamb kabab was good ! Lamb chops were badly cooked and there was no taste. First time we left lamb chops as it is. Lamb karahi and dry labm was very bad !! Halim was dry and served without fried onion. we will never visit again !!

Service was horrible. Food came out in less than 10 minutes and wasn't even luke warm. Ordered a chicken tikka which came out as soon as we ordered it which was very dry and bland. It was very obvious the food was either old or microwaved.

We went this restaurant in hot weather we order food for 4 people when they sarve food we were shoked they sarve in plates very small portions they gave us table near kichan too noisy and boiling hot near kichan when I tried to talk no body willing to listen evan they had started misbehaving 1 or 2 people want to help but there owner stop him to do and made excuses if we do this then other people can start complaining He was roud ill mannered evan he started argue with me we pay over bill and leave food in the middle i think self respect is more important then everything so please if you visit anywhere for holidays check online read reviews then chose Rasturant This restaurant’s behaviour spoil my trip couse i went in without confirmation and checking reviews hope my experience help others

Can't fault this place - quick, tasty food at reasonable prices. Definitely get the onion bhajis and the keema naan, both huge and delicious. It is BYOB, so there were a couple of loud groups there, one of which was playing drinking games (using the restaurant as a free drinking spot post meal) but this was probably just unfortunate.

Extremely rude employees, horrible experience really. Everything smelled like a dungheap. They barely spoke english.

Once upon a time, this place would be the go to for delicious kebabs. Sadly, not anymore. Bland, rubbish and poor quality food. Avoid!

Well after coming to this place for 35 years this was by far and away the worst experience it has provided. I think it may have changed ownership? The previously delightful chicken tikka is now slabs of hard chicken breast . The mixed grill was tiny and the chops (whilst tasting good ) were probably 30pc of the portion size of the old ones. The old rotis were gone replaced by naan that none of us ordered (garlic) . The service was slow and chaotic and the noise almost unbearable. I’m sad to have experienced the end of an institution. RIP..

Very noisy, but the food is good

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The service was terrible; both the waitress and waiter were incredibly rude. We ordered butter naan and plain naan, but they looked identical. When we questioned this, the waitress insisted they were different but brought out the same thing again. Additionally, the lamb jalfrezi we ordered was spoiled and had a putrid smell. This is unacceptable. Please improve the quality of your food and customer service.

One of the best places to eat Pakistani cuisine. It's more traditional and simple than modern/posh restaurants but it is more authentic experience. Food is awesome. Plenty of free parking around it in the evening. You can take your own booze.

Was out here last night with a bunch of close friends after a night out close by. Have been several times before - the last time was circa 6 years ago when I had felt the standards had dropped. Last night flipped my view around and Lahore restored my faith in the place and I will be back. Goes without saying the grilled lambchops are perfect but it was a pleasant surprise to find the currys are up there with the best in London.

Had a great meal here with some friends. Food was super fresh and high quality. Service always fast and prompt. Highly recommended !

Excellent! Food was very good, and I cannot believe how fast it came out. Add to that, the hospitality of the workers going and charging my phone for me(so I could pay for the tube to get home). Lastly, the prices were great when compared to most other places around. Highly recommend!

The most convenient place to grab a quick curry/kebab/Tikkas and always Love their Mango Lassi. The brothers serving work extremely hard keeping up the demand.

As a lahori this was an embarrassment. Chops were really tough rather then tender Seekh kebabs- I can do a better job with frozen seekh kebabs The nihari was more like a thickened gravy.

We recently visited Lahore Kabab House in commercial road, London and had a disappointing experience. The food was absolutely pathetic in taste. Every dish was overly oily and lacked any distinct flavor. Additionally, the dining environment was far from pleasant. The noise level was extremely high as everyone is seated in a single hall, making it difficult to have a conversation. The salads were undressed and unappetizing. Overall, it was a very unpleasant dining experience and I would not recommend this place.

Great curry. Really enjoyed it - and would go when I'm ever in the area as it serves a proper curry unlike some of the local competitors. My only complain is I asked 3 members of staff if they could put Darts on the tv as opposed to the old football games they were showing and all 3 said yes without doing anything.

The waitress was super unhelpful and when we asked what a menu item was (no description on the menu) she simply repeated the name, and seemed annoyed that we asked. Food was ok but did not deserve the reputation it has, presumably from years ago when it was a smaller operation.

One of my favorite places to eat in London. Authentic, delicious Desi food. These lamb chops are just the start. I could eat just these for a full meal. Also, try the sesame nan. Not fancy in any way.

Just eat the following - Chicken Seekh kebab - Lamb Chop (the star) - Nihari lamb (the broth is to die for) - Lamb Keema - Tandoori roti (has to be hot) & Peshawari Naan Remember - It's Bring Your Own Booze (BOYB) This is a no frills place, so go there for food - not service or atmosphere

Excellent food, impeccable service and great value for money.

I had an amazing lamb chop curry here Friday evening. The service was punctual, and rather quick; the curry was being served from huge vats that one could see in the kitchen. Which, the curry tasted amazing, as did the lamb-stuffed naan that I tried. I’m quite happy I went, and will definitely come back when in London. You can pay by card or in cash.

The jalfrize was decadent. Actually, all the food was succulent. Service wasn't bad, they were just very very busy. We were seated immediately. Bring your own alcohol was nice. Very affordable, not cheap.

One of the old school places in East London, been around since 1974. The food is decent, Pakistani food, cooked by Pakistani chefs. In this area, there are not many places you can get decent Pakistani food ( Tayyabs and Needos being the exceptions ). Mango Lassi is nice too. Be warned, this place provides a BYOB ( bring your own bottles ) policy, which allows lots of people to bring in alcohol. It is close to the city, so you get alot of groups of people in the evening and on weekend, with lots of alcohol. However, i still go here with family, as there is always a seat, and the food is decent.

The true Lahore in Umberston Street was established in the 1970's and from small beginnings has grown to become a very popular large restaurant where quality is very much present. All tastes are catered for in an eceltic and at times loud restaurant, the atmosphere is excellent. I have been coming here since 1977 and the Lahore still remains the best option.

Good Pakistani food at very good prices. On the spicy side so watch out for that if you have low tolerance. The butter chicken was much spicier than the Indian version, but this might be a Pakistani adaptation. The service was very familial but a bit dodgy for the following reasons: - Food came almost TOO fast, guessing it wasn’t freshly prepared to order - we asked for water and it took over 15-20 mins for them to bring it - the waiter insisted on cash only even though I saw them use a card machine later on - cleanliness was doubtful The place is EXTREMELY noisy and it’s very difficult to hear each other or the waiters, the food makes up for it though.

The restaurant is quite busy and has been around for a long time. Overall, the place is just okay—not very clean, but that’s somewhat expected given the fast-paced environment. We ordered several dishes: • Tandoor Grilled Prawns: Disappointing; the prawns had an off-putting smell. • Lamb Chops: Lacked flavor and were chewy. • Papadums: Served without chutney, only with mango sauce. • Sheikh Kebabs: Chewy, but the taste was good. • Chicken Karahi: Lacked flavor and didn’t have enough sauce. • Garlic Naan: The best part of the meal. Overall, the experience was underwhelming, with the garlic naan being the standout dish.

Even after 25 years, since my last visit, the karahi is still the best flavor I have ever had! It's still my favorite go-to restaurant for the best karahi.

Some absolutely amazing food available here, freshly cooked, fantastic flavours, and plenty of portions. It looks like a cafe but the food is some Of the best Pakistani cuisine you’ll ever have, some unbelievable flavours at a very reasonable cost too.

Overall great experience, amazingly fresh bar becue , great service , conveniently located , highly recommended for authentic Pakistani grill options.

Very poor service and found in Currys that should not have been there. Waiter took away the dish and returned with no opogise.

Atmosphere 0 too noisy children who shouted who ran everywhere and the waiters said nothing. The dishes sense flavor. If you want to eat well or have a quiet dinner, this is definitely not the right place.

I forget the last time I’d visited - it was a while ago, several years, in fact, and the place hasn’t changed a bit. It’s still got the same tacky floor and tables. Yeah, the food’s good… but, it isn’t really all that good. And the nihari is made with lamb… Pakistani Nihari is supposed to be made with beef! Nonetheless, was a decent dinner but somewhat disappointing at the same time.

OMG this food was amazing. Everything was cooked perfectly. The service was excellent as well. The venue itself is nothing fancy-dont let it fool you. Everything, including the korma, was quite spicy which means it's not for everyone but all 4 of us in our party loved it.

When I visited the restaurant was not well attended. An immediate plate of salad was delivered, which was a nice touch. We ordered chicken wings, she's kebab and onions bharjis to start which were awful delivered. We open our bottle of wine that we brought with us to share to accompany the starters. I had a king prawn curry with my friend taking the 'meat with greens dish & pak choy. The kebab was not very good, with small pieces of bone and cartiledge in it. Price wise the meal seemed value for money but adding the pre bought wine made it £30 per head.

Delicious curries and juicy/flavorful kebabs. Samosa was a BIG letdown - so dry the chicken inside was almost jerky. And the service took almost 20 minutes to acknowledge us, but was great once we caught their attention.

Really authentic Indian food that's very cheap. I paid £16 for a very large meal. The lamb is really well cooked with tender pieces and the perfect amount of spice added to enhance the flavour of the meal. The naan bread is really good with the corries. Especially the garlic flavoured naan bread. The bring your own beer is useful too which saves the customer money

Came back here after a long time. Sadly service was poor, decor not nice, food ok because we was hungry. Standards not the same. Needs some colour and decoration.

Huge restaurant but super packed in the evening. Would recommend making reservations. The food was tasty - we had kebab, chicken curry, naan, bombay potatoes and biryani. The only downside was that the food was not hot when it was served. Suitable for sharing. Very reasonably priced as well.

Went for a quick lunch. This used to be our go to place for a late night curry 8-10 years ago. Unfortunately it seems that they have gone a bit downhill. Lamb chops were good. Chicken tikka was pre-cooked, dry and not much taste. Naan were not very exciting. Bhindi was quite plain and slightly overcooked, sauce had a bit of heat but no depth of flavour. Service not focused. Had to ask for water, drinks and napkins several times.

SO RUDE!!! Sat down with my girlfriend the guy came over asked us what we wanted, I asked the guy what one of the dishes was he started to explain...said two words then said one second sir and went over and started taking someone else's order!! WHAT!?!?!

Had a late lunch here a few days ago. Seeing an open kitchen as I walked in, I asked whether I can tour the kitchen. The staff warmly welcomed me to see the kitchen and made (demonstrated) a garlic nan for me, a gift. I wanted to try everything being cooked in the kitchen, they look so good. I had the lamb chops for lunch. Wished I had another chance to dine here while in London.

Food was served quickly and it tasted decent. Biggest let down was that they allow customers to bring in alcohol which we didn't expect. An argument between to drunk guy broke out right next to our table, we had kids.

Top notch food, really tasty. Was quite busy so took a while to get served. Can get quite noisy but really worth it for the food that gets served up. Personal favourite was the sag also.
