¡El peor restaurante! Mal servicio, los camareros no tenían idea de lo que estaba disponible. Un par de veces nos preguntaron si tenían bebidas calientes de ejemplo y nos dijeron que no, pero 25 minutos después vemos a un cliente que se sirve una bebida caliente. La comida era sosa y carecía de sabor. Claramente atendiendo al mercado occidental en lugar de hacer comida auténtica. Las chuletas de cordero no tenían suficiente carne en el hueso, un bocado y se había ido. El sag paneer era asqueroso. También encontramos pelo en nuestra comida. Si quieres una buena comida ‘india’ dirígete a Bombay Delight en Wimbledon.

When in London you must try Lahore Kebab House. The lamb chops, seekh kebab, tandoori chicken leg, nihari and karahi are must have try’s. Go with a large group of people if you can so you can sample everything. For those of you from the States, this reminds me of Aga’s in Houston

We arrived, there were seven of us We were given a table After 10 minutes the waitress said to us, have you chosen? I tell him well there’s no card She brings back 2 cards except that there were 7 of us She stays standing with her pen I tell her we will call you when we have chosen 10 minutes later She takes the order and doesn't even ask us for the drinks Once the order arrives things are missing and the waitress disappears And then I quickly understood that she had to eat, she was at the back of the room eating Serving 1/5 Atmosphere 1/5 I do not recommend this restaurant because there are no servers around and the dishes are full of spice.

Nihari was tasteless. Onion bhaji was good though.

The worst restaurant I have ever been in London. The Food was between poor to average. The service was awful it’s like the staff didn’t like serving customers. We all felt uncomfortable sat in this restaurant. Unfortunately bad experience waste of our time and money. The restaurant was clean I give them That.

Lahore Kebab House in Whitechapel delivered a fantastic dinner experience with delicious, authentic flavors. The kebabs were perfectly spiced, and the curries were rich and flavorful. Service was attentive and efficient, though the place was a bit too noisy for our taste. Still, the food made it well worth it. Great spot for a hearty meal!

One of my favourite Pakistani places in the Commercial Road area. It's not as noisy as Needo's or as rammed as Tayyabs. The food is excellent, especially the lamb chops, it's BYOB. Quiet on a rainy Thursday. Service is fast. Recommend it (and so does the daughter).

Last visit with my friends really enjoyed the food this time is very disappointed with the food lamb chop was salty korai gosht taste it like very plain curry no taste of garlic , ginger or tomato. Sag gosht very oily lacking flavour seem like meat mix with spinach. Lamb tikka was ok Sheek kebab wasn’t like last time this time little bit burnt but flavour less just had ginger …very less flavour of garlic , green chillies or herbs or spices. Tandoori roti was good. Keema Nan didn’t look good very amateur keema was lacking flavour. Tarka Dall was the best tasted really good. Lastly my friend goes there regularly end up with food poisoning.

i am very disappointed to write this review, but this restaurant experience was not that great. Called the waiter many times to bring us drinks, plates and cutlery was not clean at all, tables were sticky but overall the food was alright.

overhyped and overpriced as the curries are very generic. I would not say its home style, but rather less than. I was expecting more flavour and originality, the lamb curries are ok, but i’m extremely disappointed by the butter chicken which was just a regular chicken curry with extra butter. I could not taste or smell ghee, ginger, garam masala, almond powder or cream, which are all components of high standard home cooked butter chicken.

I had the chicken tika roll it was ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING! The amount of onion was ridiculous. Once i tried it i was disgusted and disappointed. I couldn’t force myself to eat more than half. Absolutely disgraceful!

This restaurant has been here for much over 30 odd years, then the food was 2nd to none AT THAT TIME went there very recently and found the food to be not of hhe quality is should have been those many years ago, kebabs were like hard rubber, no tissue paper given to wipe hands/fingers, it was pretty much empty when we arrived, that tells you the establishment is not very good, I'll never go there again, staff were polite though, I felt we were served with the days leftovers, if you want a very good Pakistani cuisine, go to lahore one restaurant, it's opposite the McDonald's on the commercial road, London E1, the kebab rolls are awesome there

I tried Nihari which was absolutely delicious. But the service was poor and the cleanliness was not so good. Floor is always sticky. It’s my second visit. Still I like the them for food only. But they must focus on their service level and cleanliness.

I’m no great foodie - but being of Indian decent and South African, I guess we understand good food. Let me also say I’m not a fussy eater in general but given this experience I thought to comment this time. Entering the facility, It was busy and I must say welcoming with friendly smiles - usually a good sign but what a disappointment - this is no dinner eating experience but rather some version of an eating house at best - I frequent street food and this place is also an insult some of the better eating houses out there. How can anyone rate this a 4 amazes me. Taste was not to par or maybe my understanding of Indian/ Pakistani food being delicious spicy aromatic food is all wrong ???watery mix with some spice. Looking for a good experience - personally I’d say Rethink this choice - or try perhaps thier grills which others seemed to enjoy - all three curries I tried were subpar - not quite sure which version of butter chicken or gosht Karahi we had - I’m still trying to figure this out. Chana masala felt like a Chana watery soup. Common guys - lastly please don’t call that thick round thing you serve a naan - you can do better.

I am so disappointed by our recent visit. We ordered the: Chicken Karhai, but what we received was more like a Chicken Salan. Chana Masala, was more akin to a watery Curry. The dish lacked the richness and flavour that one would expect. Additionally, the Chicken Tikka Roll was notably off-putting due to an unpleasant odor emanating from the chicken, which was stinking. Sadly, every item we ordered was a source of disappointment. This is not a true representation of Pakistani food and given this experience, we regretfully will not be returning.

Busy place, very simple set up, nothing flash. TV in corner showing sport. Chairs very basic and weird but oddly unexpectedly comfortable enough. Service was rapid. The menu is fairly standard. Lamb chops not as good as they used to be but the curry dishes were superb. Price reasonable. Service had to be paid in cash oddly.

Food was horrible. Was once a gem back in the day. Sad to say not any more.

This is an institution, not a mere restaurant. Food is always excellent, staff efficient and bringing your own alcohol a bonus.

Seekh kabab and lamb chops are very nice. The service we received on the night was even better than the food. The older gentleman in the suit, possibly the owner, was walking around the restaurant floor and kept checking up on us himself as we went with our baby. The staff were also very accommodating with the baby stroller and moved the table etc.

Visited there last night Food was little bit sour And in the morning we had food poisoning , all three of us. Avoid this place please. Could not join my exam for the food poisoning

What kind of kebab house doesn’t even do kebab. Was not authentic and food was rubbish.

This has been my favourite curry house for 25 years. Had 2 average at best visits now and I am really disappointed. Dry lamp chops and mixed grill which is my favourite part… gutted 😞

Ordered; lamb chops, chilli paneer starter, chicken tikka masala, dry lamb and some butter naans. Service was top notch and the food was amazing. Have this food at any standard curry house you will be in a food coma within 20mins of finishing. This food is made with fresh ingredients and it really shows in the flavour. My only complaint and concern is that the chops seem to be flattened with a mallet in the prep process. This led to razor sharp shards of bones in every piece. One chop was completely inedible due to the numerous fragmented bone shrapnel bits Almost chipped a tooth multiple times during my meal. For a place known for their chops, more care must be taken in prepping these. Can seriously injure your customers!

Wow how can anyone even rate this restaurant a 4 plus star is beyond me. This is a disrespectful towards Pakistani food. The most watery unflavoured curry I have ever had in my life!!! Also forgot to deliver my lamb chops which cost me £13! Honestly I have had more flavour from a curry jar from Tesco with kettle water added. Disgusting and shocking . £37 spent on absolutely garbage .

Back here after many years and very disappointed: if you're looking for an alternative to Tayyabs, try elsewhere. General hygiene was quite average and the place just felt like it's stuck in the 90s still. Lamb chops(unlike at similar restaurants) average and with too many bone splinters. Beans and sweetcorn in the biryani (!) Wait staff quite uncoordinated: we got asked for our order multiple times by diff. guys and it was a mission to order water(25mins) Chicken Karahi was decent though.

Lamb chop heaven, had the mutton tikka this time, it is superb. Onion bhajia excellent and the veg curry was really good, any curry with potatoes in it has to be a winner. 20 plus years of going and it still hits the spot!

Most people come here because the food is top notch & reasonably priced, starters were samosas & seek kebabs & mains were king prawn curry & lamb karahi which myself & my friends all enjoyed. Can’t fault the service either which was friendly. Great place in East London for authentic Pakistani Punjabi cuisine.

The word “Lahore” in their name is totally deceiving. For anyone who has tasted food in Lahore will be disgusted to taste this pathetic looking and overly priced food. The chicken karahi is nothing but boiled chicken pieces tossed in tomato paste. The cheese naan is just a thick oily roti with essence of cheese instead of real cheese. Also they serve the tandoori roti cut in pieces so remember to count the pieces to ensure that you are getting correct number of rotis because we were charged for 2 extra rotis that we never ordered. Even a novice will be able to prepare a better meal by watching a YouTube video.

It is one of the most pathetic foods I have ever tried. No difference at all between butter chicken and beef qourma. Even beef and chicken tasted the same. Service was so bad. Asked for till naan and was served with rotti. No salad, no water. I wish I could have given 1 star

One of the worst restaurant in east london, felt like a fish market, terrible atmosphere, people are drinking alcohol inside, tasteless food, not recommended for families, will never go there again, not recommended at all.

Excellent value! Had a terrific Chicken Lahore for a fraction of the price in downtown Indian restaurants. Very good service. OK, the premises are not five star, maybe even below four stars, but the food is delicious. No alcohol served but byob.

Eaten there regularly. Top picks: Lamb chops, daal, saag gosht, tandoori roti. Tasty but a bit oily.

Poor quality food, canteen style restaurant/atmosphere. Unsmiling staff in a hurry to get you in and out. The Chicken Tikka was bland, the Naan undercooked (you could taste the dough), some other lamb dish was just puree, the only dish that was nice was the chili Paneer. Not recommended.

My go to place in London! Best lamb chops and sheek kebabs

We went there as a group of 20 blokes to eat some good old grilled food. We were dished stale paneer tikka’s, microwaved kebabs and grills. It was so stale that it stank! The seekh kebab felt like we were chewing through rubber. On top of this, the owner and staff were so defensive and rude. Try Needos next time if Tayyabs is too busy. But Lahore Kebab House is a bottom of the barrel kind of food which no one should put in their system. 🤮🤮🤮🤮

We used to come here back in the day in the 1980’s and recently went back for old times sake. The food is amazing still. The lamb chops and mutton tikka were so tender and tasty. Loved the haleem and karahi dishes. It’s a laid back atmosphere and reasonably priced. Defo recommend.

I'm changing my review. It's one of the only places I know that is open late at night. Went here at 00:20 AM and managed to get all the attention from the servers. Ordered naan (under cooked) Kheema Karahi (Yum and spicy loved it!) Meat Pilau (it was cold but nice flavours) Paneer chilli (very sour paneer) We ate, took the rest away, and even saw people entering at 00:50 AM, so I'm glad there is some place to cater to us late owls. The quality of the food was very average. The service was excellent. Like my last review stated, the food is a hit and miss here, but it's open late at night, and the value for money is really good!

I have been visiting this East London Institution for over 20 years, since the time when this restaurant occupied a much smaller place and you would have had to sit on shared oval tables. The food used to be absolutely delicious. And the trend continued for years, consistently delivering best Pakistani food in London, I always preferred Lahore over Tayyabs. I remember in 2018 I took my parents there when they came over to visit me in London, they were so impressed I had to take them again there for their famous dal-gosht! But that was then …. It’s a completely different story now. I recently paid a visit here with two of my good friends, both of whom are veterans of this restaurant. For one reason or another all of were back to Lahore after a long while - perhaps over a year. We ordered some of the legendary Lamb Chops, a Nihari, and Karahi Lamb. Some Nan and tandoori rotis. The Lamb chops were dry, over-grilled and very mediocre. The Nihari was flavourless gloopy mess of harsh spices. The Karahi Lamb tasted like super market readymade curry. The nan had very strong baking soda smell. We had to ask to change the roti as it was dry as a cardboard. Overall the immediate experience was very disappointing. I had a bad stomach from which I am just recovering, I had bloated gassy stomach for days after that meal, I felt it completely imbalanced my stomach chemistry, felt nausea for a whole week. My other two friends had more or less similar experiences, speaking to one of them I found out he also had similar bloaty gassy feeling for days, and had to run home after dinner due to uncomfortable upset stomach right away. I don’t want to get into dealing but let’s just say we both rush home to some unnatural call to the nature. Something has definitely changed. I asked the staff if they had a change of chef, but they denied. I have been to this restaurant many times, sometimes once a month over the years. I know the food. This not the food they used to serve. Its sad to witness the demise of such a glorious institution! I

The best authentic curry experience in London! Be sure to order the lamb chops for starters. I recommend the lamb Bhindi Ghosh for mains and some mango lassi to wash it down if your not to keen on spice. I warn you. It can get spicy. But if you love spice you will be in heaven. Saying that my partner isn't to keen on spice yet she loved it still. Highly recommend this place I come here at least once a month.

I cannot recommend this place enough, lamb chop starter full of flavour, followed by the lamb chop curry(only available on a Friday) kemma nan, onion bhaji and sagg aloo, so good! Great atmosphere full of locals enjoying their Friday. Great food, service and atmosphere. Bring your own alcohol or just stick with the selection on soft drinks. Would definitely go again if I’m in the area.

We were on there last week. The food and service were horrible. Got the wrong food what we ordered, some food even didn’t serve. We had to left almost all food as it was smelled bad. then had to go to another restaurant to eat. Won’t recommend at all.

I used to be a regular here before the pandemic, coming at least two to three times per year. Last week was my first visit since 2019. What a huge difference the time makes! The food was totally different, super disappointing. I didn't try the meat but everyone at the table said it was ok, clothing like how good it used to be. I had the Masella fish which was full of bones and a bit chewy. I was actually worried about visiting last week as the most recent reviews are all poor. The bottom line is, Lahore is a London institution. Visit for the lamb chops and the experience, but make it a one off. There are far better Pakistani restaurants around.

A place I have been to many times over the last 30 years and sadly does not quite hit the heights it used to. It has never been fancy decor, service has always been perfunctory and if you want booze you have to visit the off licence next door. However it was always the food that stood out, especially the starters eg kebabs, chicken tikka, lamb chops. They are still very good but not the stand out reason for coming here they used to be (eg the lamb chops were beautifully flavoured but a bit gristly). A word of praise the main lamb curry was very good. Also still very good value for money. Overall, it is still a good place but I am less likely than before to trek across London especially to come here.

Unfortunately, the service I received was far below acceptable standards, and I feel compelled to bring this to your attention. Firstly, I was shocked to find human hair in my food, which is a clear violation of basic hygiene standards. When I brought this to the attention of the manager, I was further disappointed by his response. Rather than addressing the situation appropriately, he simply dismissed it by stating that "it can happen," which is completely unacceptable. In addition to the serious hygiene issue, the overall service was extremely poor, and the behavior of both the staff and the manager was unprofessional. Their lack of courtesy and care in handling my concern left me with a highly negative impression of your establishment.

Lahore kebab house is not as nice as it used to be, it's very large, very noisy. The lamb chops were chewy and over cooked, chicken wings tasteless, the one soft nans very dry. Not value for money.

Always have a great time here - staff are brilliant and friendly, food top notch and good atmosphere. Good value for money too.

Food and service were amazing as good as it’s ever been. After reading some recent reviews I was a little concerned. But I didn’t need to worry it definitely didn’t disappoint. If there is a slight negative it was very loud. I will definitely going back for some more Lahore delights. Thank you 🙏

It’s always sad when great places become average. Continuing big crowds means there’s no incentive to keep quality up so I did not judge on one experience. As a regular, last six visits to Lahore have disappointed. Lack of attention to detail, lack of care to the small things that build the big picture. Feels like owners have lost some passion. Plus, portions are smaller, prices higher and short cuts in the kitchen mean taste has become average and lacks the Lahori Taste - this could soon be any curry house in any town. House special Lamb Curry still good but last time came with - count them - four pieces of lamb and the waiter brought the bill while we were still eating. seen better days, hopefully passion will return.

This place was amazing. Started off with an awesome free appetizer that was kind of like onion rings. Rice, Naan, and main dishes were delicious. Remember, BYOB, and they only take cash.

This place never fails to amaze me with their service and how flavoursome there dishes are. The lamb biryani is perfect and full of flavour and spices. Onion bhaji is a must and I’ve never tasted a bhajo like it and very good portions. Saag paneer is alway perfect and definitely spicy. This place has to be the best curry house in London and very affordable and they really look after you there

This restaurant has become an absolute disgrace. We were served stale, inedible food, and when we politely pointed it out, the staff and owners became aggressively abusive. Their refusal to take any responsibility or even acknowledge the issue was shocking. What was once a respected establishment has now turned into a nightmare. The complete lack of professionalism and basic decency is appalling. Avoid this place at all costs—it’s a toxic environment with terrible food and even worse service. You’ve been warned.

I have been going there for last 15 years. But in last 1 year, in all the visits, we have been forced to pay our bills in CASH despite card machine working. It becomes an embarrassing scene when they make all excuses that wifi is down, machine not working, there is a cash machine outside, etc etc When we insisted that many in out group did not carry any debit card and had just credit cards with them. They brought the cash machine from inside. Not sure if others are also facing this issue. But it looks like a huge tax dodging is now happening at this restaurant and needs to be reported to authorities.

If you like spicy it's the best otherwise give up, they don't serve alcohol but if you want to feel like a local you can go out and buy wine or cold beer at the grocery store next to the place and consume them at the table

Not what they used to be. Was tempted to leave halfway during our recent visit because the staff seemed like they could not care less about serving us. - inattentive staff - we had to wait around for ages for them to notice us every time we wanted to place an order or request for something - forgot some of our orders and other tables were served before us - very small portions of food, taste was nothing to write home about - tired deco and setting - insisted they only accept cash, even though signs said they accept card and we could even see other tables paying by card (if they would like to show preferential treatment to other customers, at least they can be subtle about it!)
