Reservamos para este indio antes de salir de casa elegimos este ya que estaba a solo 5 minutos a pie de nuestro hotel y sabíamos que todos estaríamos cansados No sirven Alchol, pero puedes tomar tu mismo desde el otro lado de la carretera, piensa que era un Tesco Express Pedimos 8 poppadoms para los 4 de nosotros con bandejas de encurtido que eran muy sabrosos que nos trajeron 4 samosas gratis, luego mi marido pidió una parrilla mixta de tandoori, pero tuvimos Tikka massalla, pollo con mantequilla, madras de ternera y un dansk de cordero 2 porciones de ensalada de arroz pilau y 4 cocas Todo fue muy agradable que llegó a £ 92 que no me pareció mal para el centro de Londres el único oso de insectos para mí fue cuando fuimos a pagar en el escritorio que dejaron claro que no se incluía ningún cargo por servicio había una lista en la máquina de pago dijo que solo haga clic en lo que quieras dejar para la propina 10%, 20%, 30% 40% o 50% Si le doy propina a alguien me gusta dejar lo que quiero no mínimo 10% Eran 9 libras. 20 cobran por elegir comer en su restaurante. El personal era atento y complaciente

Great food and service. Not licensed, but no charge for BYO. Interior a bit dated.

Classic Indian restaurant with a broad eat-in menu and a very decent (sub £10 at the time of writing) takeaway curry and rice box menu. Serving staff are friendly, courteous and you’ll usually not wait longer than 10-15min for a takeaway ordered inside the restaurant itself.

Fantastic food at very good prices. Service was as always to a good standard.

I will never go back . Right after enter the restaurant they gave us negative vibe,because we have 5 kids. We been changed the table twice . Then they keep asking their English customers if its OK we sat behind them.they don't even have knife on the table.

My order was never delivered, called the restaurant to take it up with them - they said they're closed and won't take my calls directly. Super unprofessional. Horrible CS experience.

The restaurant is good for native people I will never suggest is for Indian/Asian people,too bad food with just turmeric powder poured in all dishes ,served preheated paratha and the waiter said it's fresh , allover I will not suggest the place for Asians

Service is good, atmosphere is ok. Consider to buy new plates, the plates they given to us were too old with the permanant stain of food colour and lot of scratches. Food quantity and taste 10/100. I visited this restaurant because it is Indian and Halal. But my personal opinion is I'll not visit here again and don't recommend to my friends.

Enjoyed a *wonderful* lunch! The service was attentive and food was absolutely delicious, piping hot, ready fast (but did not feel at all rushed) and very reasonably priced.

- ordered a lime soda - ordered a vegetable samoosa - and a paneer Lime soda did not appear. Neither the samosa. Had to order rice on the side. Lime soda machine apparently broken. A bit rude for my taste. Food was ok - nothing spectacular. Would not come back tbh

Yesterday i came food place and i order 2 chicken biryani's for collection the workers knew i came from stoke on trent they didn't of any spoons or tixue in the bag i had to wait until i went home very disatisfied as i had along journey back

Moved to London about a year ago and this is probably the only place I regularly come back to. The food is delicious! I generally get a naan, a veggie dish, and a meat dish (perfect for 1). The service is always friendly and they certainly care about your experience. It is also BYOB which is never a bad time. Highly recommend Halal for anyone looking for delicious, fair-priced Indian food!

New comment on 26 March: I am a regular customer now as I said before😂 Highly recommend chicken vandaloo and butter chicken and Naan! Add 3 more pics but I have already been there like 5 times more! The people on the phone are totally useless and incompetent, I spoke to two people. 8:50pm 26th March. One put the phone down when I tried asking him about one of the curries. The other guy was totally ignoring my question and speaking about apps and deliveries, I asked both of them if they can give it to the owner who was very good in the past. I think they have new management. He can actually speak English, I want him to see how they are running it without him. I abandoned my order because they couldn’t answer a simple question.

love to come here every time i’m back in London. Very good authentic food, fair prices and they even have half portions of one doesn’t feel like eating that much. Vegan and vegetarian friendly🌱

That was ok Indian food. Not bad and perhaps for a quick lunch this should be an option but this is more a english taste Indian that a authentic spiced Indian. No alcohol license but It seem that they are ok for you to bring your bottle. Average portions.

Simply the best. High quality ingredients cooked so well with fantastic spices that make your mouth water. 6 of us booked dinner here yesterday based on previous experience and recommendation and it was simply superb. Poppadum’s, 6 delicious mains, Pilaf Rice, Onion Bhaji’s, Naan’s and more were all finished off at an incredible £20 a head! Superb quality and VFM. Great place to enjoy your favourite curry

The staff lacked professionalism, and the quality of the Indian/Pakistani cuisine was the poorest I've encountered. Both the food and the masala chai were subpar, almost to the point of being a joke. I cannot recommend this place

Food tasted ok. Portion size of meat in the chicken wrap was not great. One of the wraps I got had a piece of undercooked chicken. Not the best experience.

Been coming here since the 90's and it hasn't changed much - but this is a good thing if you want good quality, authentic Indian food at reasonable prices (especially considering it is a stones throw from the City). The restaurant no longer serves alcohol, however you are welcome to bring your own if you want to. (There are plenty of places nearby where you can get some beers including a mini supermarket on an adjacent street). It's East London's oldest Indian restaurant and the fact it's always full shows you the people who know about it, keep coming back.

Loved the option for full or half servings of dishes so that we could try more! The tikka masala sauce and korma sauce were both sweeter than we’re used to, but still tasty. The paneer was great—wonderful texture and taste. The service was wonderful! Attentive and friendly staff, food came out quickly, and there were little added bonuses that were appreciated such as an orange slice after dinner and mints with the bill. The ambiance was nice, and bathrooms (upstairs) were spacious and clean.

Average food more customized to the English palates, a bit bland for my sub continent taste, Very average ambience. And Service was ok. What really threw me off was the presence of Alcohol on the premises. Their meat was Halal but naming a place Halal and having haram is not acceptable since 1939.! Halal 🚫 alcohol...

Superb food, nowhere else matches this place for its curry. An institution and quite rightly. Love this place and highly recommend the chicken dansak, dhum gosht, biryani, lamb chops, kind prawn tandoori, egg curry!

Food was great but the portions are on the smaller side. The service was pretty slow but it was a Friday evening so that was to be expected. I love the fact that they do half portions so you can try more of the side dishes! It’s probably better value to get takeaway though.

Taking ridiculously long time for delivery orders, even while Restuarent is not busy. I don’t think so keeping those paid customers waiting that long is good for the business.

We have dined here for the first time and the food had a lot of flavours and the service was attentive, but the only reason I gave it four stars there was a big group which made a very loud noise and spoiled the experience for us. We definitely go back and try again.

After a Long day me and my friend went there but for about 20 minutes no one came to us to take our orders despite I called waiter many times but everytime he said wait bear in mind there was no other customers NOT GOOD atleast they should take our orders Prices for food are slightly overcharged and imbalance portions of food And the food taste dreadful

Back when I tried this place (over a year ago and I only got a side of egg fried rice because I was cooking at home and didn’t feel like making rice) it was not as popular as it’s gotten. I told myself I’d leave a nice review and here I am over a year later doing it. I’m so glad to see this place picking up and I am not surprised to see the good reviews. Honestly it’s amazing!!! I don’t believe we should only consider the food when eating out. I think we should also consider the impact of our business. Such lovely people running this restaurant. Even in my pathetic excuse for an order of takeaway egg fried rice… despite it being so small, it was packaged so well, garnished, and the man even gave me a sweet 😭😭🥺🥺🥺❤️❤️. So lovely. How many businesses can you think of that put that much diligence toward such an inconsequential order. Later I recommended it to some more people and got a curry and naan - it was so yummy!!! And they have such a big selection. This review is making me wanna go back soon now lol. Highly recommend this place, I wish them nothing but the best

Great Karachi gosht, lovely peshwari naan, however it felt more baked than cooked in a tandoor clay over, it lacked the typical char of the tandoor. But maa Shaa Allah great quality food, I'll come back for more in Shaa Allah.

Been eating at Halal for the past 5 years, my fiends for much longer. Excellent food, service and value. Can't recommend high enough. Go for the specials; you won't be disappointed.

Good food. Staff was able to help pick vegan and gluten free items. Place was packed with locals. About 4 half orders and 2 full orders of rice will get you full and be able to try a lot of food.

I had takeaway from Halal Restaurant and was blown away at how delicious the food was! It’s the best Indian food I’ve ever had and I can’t wait to try it fresh in house.

I ordered from the restaurant through uber eats, and I didn’t receive the order, although the amount was deducted !!! And when I called the restaurant, they were passive and hung up the phone!!

Unfortunately I took friends there last night different staff than usual who were quite abrupt and had nothing in the bar availavle other than beer red wine and vodka. The food is always excellent. On this occasion we visited with my elderly mother in law and the staff could not have been more helpful and attentive.
