Such a classic good curry house, plenty of vegetarian options, great service and amazing food! Good for any group size; families or couples!

Great Indian.. found by accident and what a treat.. lovely food and staff were great

This was a spontaneous decision as we were walking by. And we were delighted that we did. Our last Indian food experience only a few days earlier was with a Michelin awarded chef’s restaurant so it was going to be difficult to live up to that recency. But this place is punching above its price bracket so we have given 5 stars as everything was delicious but just some feedback for improvements: The mango lassi could be slightly less sweet. The chicken tikka starter was excellent, the prawn puree was nice but the puree (fried bread) part slightly too oily. I’m probably nit picking though. The peshwari naan was one of the nicest we have ever had but the paratha was a little dryer than we have had. The biryani was slightly under seasoned but otherwise excellent. The chicken Manchuria dish was a good recommendation from the staff. This may become our new regular Indian.

The restaurant is spacious and bright, the food tastes good, and the service staff are also very friendly. But you are very close to the guests sitting next to you, and you can hear their chatter. It would be better if the tables were further apart.

Probably the best Indian cuisine I‘ve ever had. Staff was incredibly nice and helpful with finding the right foods. The price was reasonable and very justified for the amounts of effort they put in to make the foods, which were all fresh out of the clay oven. They managed to put an incredible twist on some traditional Indian dishes and represent others in just the right way. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone who is in London or wants to try some Indian cuisine!

I booked for a large group, we arrived on time, and they'd given the table away! However, they did send a waiter to the pub next door to collect us when it was available again, so a star off and a star back on again for service. The menu is what you'd expect at an Indian restaurant, and the prices are standard to reasonable. The food is nice and the atmosphere good. Its a curry house, but a really decent curry house. Come here for a curry, you won't regret it.

Visited twice on recent trip. Garlic Chilli chicken and Chicken Rhogan Josh on another visit. Great food and friendly staff would certainly recommend 🙏

I know a lot of bad reviews are just written off as one offs, but let me tell you this is not. The food at this restaurant should be avoided at all costs. The butter chicken can only be described as pumpkin soup with chunks of chicken. The daal tasted burnt and was inedible. I couldn’t even taste a difference between the garlic and regular naan. All in all terrible experience. Would not recommend.

arrogant customer service. never go to such place who speak to the customer raising his voice. charging service charge for nothing. not even worth food. to escape this they have printed on their front menu to avoid informing customers before they eat.

Great Indian down Leman Street. And we've been again. Every month is a blessing for tasty food that never departs from a high standard. Mixed seafood curry is so tasty, as is all the food here. Never been disappointed with the food here. And still the same with attentive staff and a very clean environment. Welcoming and tasty for the individual, small or large parties. As an update I can add no more than to say this Indian is of the highest standard. Top Drawer!! And still is again!!

I don't enjoy leaving a bad review, but unfortunately this was not a good curry. No real flavour and all ingredients tasted poor quality. If an animal is killed for people to eat, we should show our respect by cooking its meat with skill and attention.

The staff here were very attentive and were quick to make suggestions. The food was excellent, and the atmosphere was relaxed but upscale. The butter chicken was different than what I am used to, and had a lot of coconut in it. I would suggest cranking up the heat level, but overall especially for the cost, very well worth it.

Food is very bland. Not just lack of spice, but also flavour. If you order poppadoms, they’ll charge you extra for sauces. Service is quite slow, staff don’t seem to pay attention much.

This place its a hidden gem.. I'm from Chicago and everyone told me the UK has the best Indian cuisine.. and let me tell you. This place does.. staff I friendly. The manager or owner I don't know who he was. But he came out to greet me. It was a very nice touch. The food is excellent. The place is just warm and cozy. Thanks for the excellent service and food

One of the best places to have an authentic curry. We have been coming here for years and are never disappointed. Great menu and my chicken shashlik is the best I’ve come across anywhere. Great service and a shout out to Zita who was delightful and easy to speak to. And the two brothers who runs and owns the restaurant are always very welcoming. And the on the house Baileys afterwards is always a nice way to finish an evening.

It’s very good restaurant to eat. The food was great and so taste, I think It's good place to spending time with family and friend by having food.

I visited with my friend on his birthday, firstly food was amazing, all credit goes to chef - spice level on request, baby lamb ribs were tender. Only problem Bar tender was very rude but the manager was very nice person. we saw some flies in the restaurant cleaning could be done better.

Hopelessly slow service and the outside menu is apparently for take away not sit down - a gross infringement of the trades description act. There should perhaps be a law against this blatant act of mis-selling?

We plan to go red chilli to have birthday meal for my friend and the service was not good food was sweet bit spicy at all and we order labu sharbat and wine glass first they serve as wine very very flat and we order again labu sharbat as it was nice so it tasted less sweet and different from last time so we requested to add sugar and their reply was like it's the same and had a arguement about it when I just ordered the same drink as I liked but if it's different. I can't even ask for sugar basically they treat customer as their opinions doesn't matter at all and then when I asked for bill and got bill with service charge on asking to pay it without service charge the staff straight replied no you can't it's a part of bill and when I said it's against law and call the manager he made it a heated arguement and did not even call any manager saying this is how it works here and made us pay the service charge. Very disrespectful and worst staff (the bartender very rude and bad customer service and especially bad knowledge did not knew the software they use in restaurant and the law for service charge).

Ordered a lamb dish which could only be described as bones in a sauce, then I was charged twice. The restaurant have kept brushing me off even though I've emailed by statement. Last time I let anyone else tap my card. Be very very careful.

We dropped in very late after a long day of travelling and were met with lovely hospitality and very good food. The meal was excellent and we left the place smiling; the night turned out great thanks to the food and wonderful servers and chefs. What more can you ask for?

Bin heute Abend mit meinem 10 jährigen Sohn zu dem Inder in der Nachbarschaft von unserem Hotel gegangen. War den ganzen Abend begeistert . Total freundlicher Empfang ... Tisch direkt am Fenster bekommen ( normalerweise allein mit Kind gibt es den Katzentisch... ) alle Mitarbeiter total freundlich und hilfsbereit und das Essen super und zu einem fairen Preis

I loved this place. £12 for a substantial prawn dish at a table with linen tablecloth and linen napkins is incredible. Especially as it tasted so good. Can't wait to go back. This is my first 5* review in ages!

Booked a meal while we were in London for kings coronation. Been once before so looking forward to a repeat visit and wasn't disappointed. Lovely food, great friendly atmosphere and worth every penny. Price extremely reasonable for London. 45 mins away on tube as we didn't stop local this time but well worth it, easy to find not far from back of tower of London. Highly recommend!

Needing a meal within east walking distance of Aldgate East tube, we found the Red Chilli. We were really pleased with our choice. The staff were friendly and polite, and the atmosphere and decor were really nice. The food was freshly made, great portion sizes and delicious. My only gripe, and this has nothing to do with the restaurant or the staff, was the loud and obnoxious group of four foul mouthed drunken middle aged men in the corner - what is it about guys, beer and Indian restaurants where they feel they can act this way? I think the staff were patient with them, but their behaviour and language was frankly unacceptable - but don’t let this put you off. I would happily eat there again. Thank you.

Amazing food at really sensible prices for central London - nice atmosphere. Some different items and beer from your normal Indian which was good to eat as well - sorry had to drop a star just because the service was really a bit slow and hit and miss!

We enjoy hot curries so can highly recommend the naga chicken, the garlic chilli chicken, and a specially nade keema chilli naan. You will not be disappointed.

I ordered Paneer Curry , baigan bhaji and garlic naan but but I am not satisfied with the quality of food. Paneer doesn’t taste fresh and baigan was not properly cooked. It doesn’t taste authentic Indian food.

Right amount of spices in curries and really flaky garlic naan! dinner combo is a really good option.

Easily accomadated as it was less busy. Food was priced reasonable. The non veg starter platter was excellent. The briyani was presented in a nice pot. But there was not much difference in taste between tikka and normal chicken biriyani. Keema rice was average. Lassi was good. When the food arrived it all looked alike and they dint bother to mention but finally they again to explain. Overall I liked the food. If there was bit more attention to service it would have been fabulous.

On holiday from the US and had a great experience here. Onion bhaji was seasoned perfectly and tasted delicious. For entrees we had the chicken tikka masala and butter chicken, both of which were flavored nicely but could have used a bit more spiciness. Overall I would recommend this place!

Great curry. Nice atmosphere. Prompt and courteous service.

Overall, it was not bad but was not great either. Ordered the lamb shank and garlic chicken and was “warned” it was very spicy. I noted that we were getting the “medium” spice, but were still told it would be spicy. The spices from the hot plate for the chicken were steaming off the plate, making it a little hard to breathe. That aside, the dish was only a little spicy. A bit of a creeper but not bad. If you like spice, I would recommend getting the 2 or 3 pepper level. The lamb was not spicy at all. It was in a sweet sauce which I likened to a sweet and sour sauce. That was a bit disappointing given the previous comment on spice. Service was a bit lacking. Perhaps they are understaffed or just not as attentive. Waited a bit for someone to get me a check and I even had to take it up, since he was distracted with other things like sweeping. Although it was good, I will likely not be returning.

We visited here on remembrance weekend as we stayed at the local Premier Inn Hotel. Great food and drinks and the staff were very polite and professional. Two of us has the lamb balti dish however there was not much lamb in it and lots of onions which was a shame because other than that it tasted very good.

It was very bad. Both dishes, chicken and the vegetable korma. We have in our town a low level of indian cuisine, but the Red Chili is just a "fast" food place without any fantasy and not cheap.

It was the worst Indian restaurant I ever had. Yesterday me and my boyfriend went to pick up some Indian at this restaurant for the first tome. I took the chicken tikka masala it was so tasteless and also very sweet but no spices at all, not even for taste. I was so upset. The simple rice was filled red and Green bits… it had no Indian flavour whatsoever the worst dinner
