Visited 9n a week day. It was fairly quite. Ordered papadoms, pickle tray, mixed meat curry, naan and mushroom rice. The lamb and chicken in curry was very very dry but prawns were spot on. Gentleman offered to make me a new one but it was kind of late because started to tuck in so said it's ok. Rice was nice and naan was fresh and one of the best I have had. I have asked for takeaway for the leftovers and it wasn't too much to ask. Gentleman made deduction on my bill because of the meat which was nice of him and also you get 10% off if you pay by cash.

We had to come into Leicester for personal reasons and thought why not get some sweet sticky food to take home. So I looked up sweet centres near belgrave road and this shop caught my eye. Having gone there we were very disappointed with the amount and quality on offer. I asked for a box of gulab jamun (1/2 kg). The first thing the lady said was “is that it?” (In Punjabi), which shocked me. Then she said £6 for about 6 gulab jumuns. Asked for money back and will never go back. Shop wasn’t busy only people cueing up for online/phone collection.

The food here is absolutely delicious, and the friendly staff make you feel right at home from the moment you walk in. The atmosphere is vibrant and inviting, creating a perfect setting for a memorable dining experience. A real highlight was watching the football match—it added an exciting, lively touch to the evening. It's the kind of place where the combination of great food, warm service, and an energetic ambiance makes for a truly enjoyable time. Definitely a place to visit for both great food and a fun, dynamic experience

Spice Lounge is a fantastic curry house. My family and friends eat there all the time and are never disappointed. They provide excellent service and the food is outstanding. I’ve tried many curry houses all over the UK and Spice Lounge is definitely up there with my favourites, and luckily it’s in my home town!!

First time visiting this lovely restaurant. I have a peanut allergy and so trying a new Indian restaurant is quite a scary thing as they usually use nut oils to cook in,I was reassured that things are kept separate and indeed I didn't have any reaction. The food was absolutely delicious.all really fresh. The service was really nice and there was a good atmosphere in the restaurant. Also the prices were very reasonable. We will definitely be back with friends and family.

I have been here a few times now. The food has been really good. The hariyali panner and the fish pakora were really tasty. The restaurant is pretty, nicely decorated, the staff were ok too but it’s been freezing everting! Because of how cold it has been I have stopped myself going a few times.

Went here once when it opened after being the currywala. The new owners were false advertising offers to bring people in and we felt conned. We spent about £20 on a Peri Peri Chicken and a curry with rice as a take away. When we got it home the consistency was glue. The chicken Peri Peri tasted rotten as though it had been marinated for a month in a bucket. I had to contemplate calling in the Environmental Health department as it was so disgusting. They even had a kid manning the reception taking the orders to get people to feel sorry for them and stay when duped into going in there. I love Indian food and this visit made me heave. They have now closed as Spice Bengal and a new name is being put over the door - make sure it is not the same people or you could be sorry.
