The Red Hot Curry Pot in Harborough

First time of trying this place as our usual takeaway hasn’t been its normal good standard! really impressed with red hot. Good food and great value! Now our new favourite

Every time I get a take away from this place the food is incredible I can’t fault it in any way. Loads of flavour and big generous portions. Received a little potato freebie dish tonight which was also very tasty. Recommend!!

Absolutely awful service. This isn’t the first time, but at least we’ve received our food before. A few times it’s been late, a few times it’s been crap, but tonight was 2 hours late and when we called we were hung up on or at best told it’s on it’s way without having an idea who we are (my husband called so they didn’t have a number and they didn’t ask for an address) And then it arrived cold. IGNORE AT ALL COSTS

We ordered a take away the other evening and thought the food was good but could have been better if they had reduced the amount of salt they used in their mains. The spicing was done well but unfortunately the excessive amount of salt got in the way of us rating this as an excellent curry. The service was efficient with text messages and phone calls telling us when our food would be ready. If they reduce the amount of salt in the food then we would definitely order take aways from here again in the future.

We ordered on Just Eat for delivery and found a hair in our curry. We rang them up to request a new curry to be delivered and they suggested that we get a discount of our next order. What good is a discount, we wanted a fresh dish to be sent to us, a discount wouldn’t stave off our hunger. We didn’t even want a discount, we just wanted our food, sans hair. When we said that a discount wasn’t good enough the staff were rather rude. They ended up telling us that they can send a new one however “We are very busy so we will send it whenever we get a chance”. It seems that they never got a chance as we went to bed hungry. Flashback to the phone call, when we told them that “whenever they get a chance is not good enough”, we also asked at this point for the curry that had a hair in to be refunded as well as the fresh one to be re-sent. We didn’t want money back for the whole meal, only for the hairy curry. It also seems like they never had a chance to refund me the money, guess they must have been very, very busy. I personally will not be ordering from this establishment again however, if you enjoy munching on long, wiry, black hairs when you eat your curry I would recommend ordering from here. Yummy.

Food was very good. However it was over an hour late when it arrived and was missing parts of the order. Very rude over the phone as well.

My st order from here. Poppadoms and pickles we’re fresh and tasty, mushroom rice yummy good pieces of fish and vegetables recognisable in my tasty Tawa, nice sauce in my wife’s Chicken Tikka Massalla, she said 2 pieces of Chicken were rubbbery the other pieces were nice. Portion sizes were pleasing. Delivery driver is a nice young man worth a mention. Overall a satisfying experience and I will order again from here again

The delivery man didn't even walk down the car and I had to go down in the rain to get the food. The chips were soaked in oil and the food quality was poor

Food was fine, but was told but the delivery driver that I’d ordered too late in the evening and if I ordered at that time again he wouldn’t deliver it! With no knowledge of what time they finish delivering, and the fact that they were still open on Just Eat app I’m not sure why I bore the wrath of the delivery driver!!

The order was sent to them in clear typed English but I rang to confirm the order as they have made mistakes in the past. He read the order back incorrectly so I corrected him but the order still arrived wrong. When this place gets busy its a total shambles!

Driver wouldn't come to house as he was scared of dogs and ran off after knocking the door ,food was 15 mins late ,not happy

food took 2 hours in total and then they blamed us because our address was “hard to find” despite me leaving full directions and my telephone number. food was so cold it was horrible. restaurant hung up on us several times during the process.

Dreadful service, food never came. Ended up cancelling through Just Eat. No phone call and the ‘restaurant’ didn’t even pick up the phone. Do yourself a favour and order from somewhere else. save yourself the time and effort from this useless place.

Food is good but was not happy that the driver rang me to tell me to come out my flat to collect my food from the car. When I said just buzz he refused to deliver to my door. I feel this is incorrect as I have paid for delivery not be delivered to my flat to then be told to collect it from his car. There has been too many problems with the driver that the food isn't worth it

Having moved to the area recently we were looking for somewhere that was as good as our last "local Indian". The food was fresh and you could really taste the individual flavours, the food arrived piping hot and the portions were as expected. I think you got free poppadoms as I ordered extra incase. Brill food and service and will order from again! Think we've found our new local .

Our preferred Indian takeaway in Harborough. Great food, quick delivery and consistent each time. Able to accommodate alterations to food and considerate about baby sleeping. Authentically delivered too which is nice. Betters the local competition in our experience

Every meal I have had with Red Hot Curry Pot is always so tasty & fresh.

Visited for the first time and have to say it was a decent Indian much better than others in the town. The prices are very reasonable and good value. Especially the Red Hot Box for one and you get quite a big portion. Definitely will be returning and definitely recommend a visit.

it was twenty mins late, however the delivery man apologized, it is a Saturday and they are busy, they go out of there way to get to me, and the food is always top! always a brilliant place to order from.

Always hot and fresh. Quick delivery service , been using them for years now. We have the curry in the pot and it's so much easier eating from that then chucking it on a plate

The RHCPs reputation its well deserved as this is consistently the best. Really authentic flavours and rich curries, that are as good as its older sisters best in Leicester. Typically well ave Lamb Jalzferi, Chicken Saag, Brinjal on the side together with a Korma and a CTM for the kids with rices and bread. All almost always outstanding. They deliver for free and offer a punctual and reliable service.

I've had a stinking cold for a few days now and I've been miserable all day but this meal really cheered me up. Not only did it arrive 20 minutes EARLY, it was delicious. Just what the doctor ordered. Would recommend :)

Having an abundant supply of Indian takeaways in Harborough. this ones the best. Sauces are spot, Naan's great and the starters are brill. Ordered the meal for 2 and the Shaclick Chicken was so good I will ask for it to be a main next time. Prawn dansak, awesome, every drop of sauce mopped up with Naan bread. Prices are reasonable - £22. had enough for lunch the next day.

Mushroom rice that i ordered wasn't great, didn't think it was worth the money it cost...pilau rice with tinned mushrooms thrown in but everything else was delicious!

Food is excellent but 2nd time now I have ordered two sauces and they have only sent one and still charged me.

Shame the pickle tray in the set meal does not include mango chutney.

We've lived in MH for just over 2 years and eaten in all the Indian restaurants. This evening had a takeaway and it is the best Indian meal we have had. Just to our taste spice and heat wise and arrived on time. Couldn't fault it, look forward to our next meal.

We have used the delivery service twice in 3 weeks and both times it arrived early and we live out in the country. The food is always tasty well seasoned and hot when it arrives. I recomend this service over the others in Harborough (see my previous reviews)
