The Cinnamon Lounge in Harborough

Great restaurant. Food was good and the staff were friendly and patient. Will definitely visit again when in the area. Plenty of free parking too.

Ordered for delivery. Took 2 hours, called twice and they didn't seem to know where the food was or where they were delivering it. Turned up barely warm and half empty.

Upon arrival we were taken to our table straight away. Before we sat down we were asked if we wanted a drink, my other half asked for a water and before I even had chance to order a drink the gentleman had ignored him and walked off. He Seated another table and took their drinks order. He then finally comes back to us and takes our drink order. I ordered a coke, they bring me a Diet Coke which was as flat as anything. We order food and it doesn’t take too long to come out and it was really good! He interrupted our meal to ask if we were finished after I put my cutlery down for about 5 seconds. When we are done we ask for 2 containers to take the food home and he brings one and tries to combine all our food together . When collecting our plates he was very heavy handed and had the dirty cutlery very close to me. The whole experience wasn’t very good. We felt very rushed and we didn’t feel welcome from the start. We nearly walked out but decided to give it a try. It was also very cold in the restaurant.

The Cinnamon lounge is lovely ... food excellent, drinks varied and well affordable. Why Harborough folks do not take avantage of this beautiful eating house is beyond me! Staff so polite and accommodating! My son and partner and myself had a full 2 course meal EACH and a bottle of wine and beers for around £60.00 all in with starters etc.. Great evening ! Thankyou. 🙂👍

Placed an order at 5.30pm for delivery at 7pm. Chased as still not received by 7.50pm and had a very rude man tell me 20 minutes before hanging up on me. I followed up at 8.10pm and again told its on its way and again they hung up the phone. Everytime I tried to ring again they put the phone down on me without answering. It took my husband to ring for them to tell him food was only just sent and then hung up on him. Food finally delivered at 8.30pm but cold. We have always used cinnamon lounge for both deliveries and restaurant however after this experience we will not be using them again nor recommending them to any family or friends in Market Harborough.

Brilliant, proper night out curry. Just finished the best Jalfrezi I've had in months. I'm just passing through, but if this is local to you, support it, it's fantastic.

Been going here now for 8 years,delivery and collection, never tried anywhere else, always happy with the food, service is always polite and welcoming. Cinnamon lounge keep doing what your doing, food is fantastic

Our favourite Indian. Attentive staff, delicious food and not overly crowded and noisy, just how we like it. Chicken Naga Special is so tasty and the lamb in the Lamb Jalfrezi is so tender and delicious.

Pre ordered food on foodhub , food was excellent , partner she had the chicken tikka and i the chicken madras with Peshawari nan and pompadon , all of it very tasty and good value with 15% off , will definitely use this place if in the mood for a curry again.

Had from there before , this time wasn’t the best, food wasn’t exactly warm by the time it got to us, the salad consisted of about 3 shreds of lettuce, the curry didn’t fill the pot like it did last time and the chilli and cheese naan had zero cheese in it. Hoping it’s a one off.

What a lovely experience. First delivery takeout in ages and it really didn’t disappoint. Food was so beautiful. Not a single fault. Was lovely and warm when it got here and the produce all tasted lovely and fresh. Also the prices aren’t too shabby at all! Would Definitely recommend to anyone.

An amazing Indian restaurant, by far the best in Harborough. The staff are always friendly and talkative. Service is very good. The food is exquisite and at very good prices. Never experienced a bad meal or takeaway.

The food was really good and lasted well in the fridge. Would definitely order again as it wasn't too pricey for the quality received. Only quibbles I had were that most Indian restaurants give naan as part of the Tandoori Mixed Grill and this one doesn't and they don't do a cheese naan, only chilli and cheese and I don't like chilli. Other than that they were great

Hit and miss but they are timely and prompt, food is often delivered hot.

We had a take away from here on Monday evening, and sadly the food was awful. The Onion Bhaji’s were burnt to a crisp therefore we couldn’t eat them. The curry was bland, tasteless. Will not be ordering from here again

We really felt like having a curry tonight and ordered from here for the first time, we were informed that it would be an hour but that's okay as we were looking forward to it, so we waited with anticipation, after an hour and ten minutes food still hadn't arrived, we chased it up to be told it was 'leaving now', 20 minutes later the food arrives, I opened the bag expecting that sweet aroma of spices to burst forth, but no, maybe I'm a little bunged up I think, I'm sure I will smell it once I open the carton but alas not, I dished u othe meal with great trepidation, disappointment and regret, we sat down to eat our rogan josh and veg dhansak both of which should have a slight kick, we should be able to feel the warmth of the spices over our tongues with a slight tingling of the lips, but none of this happened, my dhansak was at best a veg and lentil stew!!

Since the lockdown we have been using this restaurant for takeaway meals, really happy with everything, so last night on our 50th wedding anniversary with a couple of friends actually went out for a real meal! Was not disappointed, the staff really happy and helpful, the food was fantastic, as usual ( my new favourite Naga) the only fault if it is a fault the place was almost empty, for us that was nice but not for this restaurant, cannot Wait to go again.

First time ordering a takeaway on Saturday night. App said it would take 90 minutes to arrive due to how late it was, food arriving piping hot in under 60 minutes. Great food, portions with plentiful. Cannot fault a thing. Would defo use again for food.

Awful service , can’t accept they are wrong in offering something and then not supplying it and they have rung family members at 10.15 at night to harangue them when they dared to complain. Give them a miss.

Ordered for first time last night from Cinnamon Lounge. Asked for around 7pm delivery... arrived at 7.10. The food was still hot despite an 8 mile journey. We ordered popadoms, 3 mains, a side, rice and naan breads.... everything was absolutely delicious!! Highly recommend...

Had a really nice meal while visiting the area. Food was good and tasty. Menu had a nice range of options. No issues with using my tastecard. Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall decor needs a little a attention as do the ladies. I would visit again if in the area.

This was our first time in Market Harborough and while looking at a menu in another Indian restaurant we were recommended the Cinnamon Lounge as the 'go to' Indian in the town. It totally lived up to the recommendation and if in the area again we would definitely go back. The service is impeccable, all the staff are attentive without being overbearing. Although we are not the most adventurous with our choices the meals we had were beautifully cooked and tasted delicious. The total bill came to a little over £40.00 and for 3 drinks, 3 popadoms, 2 mains, 1 side and 2 rice dishes we think this is real value for money and money well spent. This is now my favourite Indian restaurant in market harborough. I have been disappointed by a couple of other local Indians since going vegetarian but here did not disappoint! I will recommend to everyone. The service is amazing and the portions are large enough to share if you aren't starving. Thank you

We visit the Cinnamon Lounge when taking our grandson to football training - a great break whilst training takes place. A comfortable space with great service and great food. A varied menu with good specials on offer.

Went to cinnamon lounge, to celebrate a birthday, couldn’t have chosen a nicer place, the restaurant was spotless, we were shown to our seats , by a very nice waiter, who made sure we were happy and settled. He brought over some entrees, while we were deciding on the menu. The menu is extensive and impressive,our meals, all different, were tasty, and really plentiful. Will definately go back, again, and again.

Not a place for a group of ladies! the food we ordered was a two for one offer which the manager wasn’t very happy about his attitude towards us was awful he obviously doesn’t like women specially if your strong minded the food was ok but I or my friends will defiantly not be eating here again and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone

Have just visited the Cinnamon Lounge as our date night. We cannot fault the place, absolutely love everything about this restaurant! The food, the service, and the manager is one in a million, very considerate and attentive. Visiting the Cinnamon Lounge is a must for everyone, if you think you’ve found the best Indian already, you’ll change your mind once you visit the Cinnamon Lounge! :D

Have visited here a number of times and always have the same great experience. The food is top notch and generous portions. Often visit for the all you can eat Sunday buffet which has a good selection available but staff are always happy to cook something else to order if required. In the other hand, the menu selection is good and the prices are very reasonable. I can’t recommend Cinnamon Lounge highly enough.

We ordered poppadoms and 4 different main courses with rice, chapatis and naan. All of the food was of high quality, good meat and veg in the dishes, tasty sauces, piping hot and nicely presented in generous portions. The service was attentive and pleasant.We’ve been coming to the cinnamon lounge for many years and also ordered lots of takeaways. The quality of the food is always the same.It’s a rare restaurant which can maintain this consistency but we’re always sure of good food here.

It was OK but be prepared for spicy food my daughter doesn't and could only eat one mail but survived on poppadoms and Nan bread.

We've had a few takeaways from here now and they've always been really tasty. Good service and always delivered in good time and nice and hot. This is our go to place for an Indian takeaway. Would highly recommend!

Food a bit bland and tasteless, even a Rogan josh should have a little bit of a kick. Ended up with boiled rice even though I ordered pilau no big deal I suppose.

Food great but I don't think I have ever been here and seen a waiter smile or have a joke with you. Seems very serious so that has put me off going again. I want to feel relaxed when I am visiting a place to eat and have a bit of a laugh. I don't feel relaxed eating here.

We were in Market Harborough for the weekend and needed takeaway. My son recommended Cinnamon Lounge. What a delight the meal was. At home in Lincolnshire we are fortunate to have a very good award winning Indian restaurant on our doorstep which is used by celebrities. Cinnamon Lounge is better. To add to the pleasure the customer service was outstanding

We visited this restaurant with family and friends last night. We booked as a) there was 7 of us and b) we had to book to take advantage of the Meerkat 2 for 1 offer.

Had a takeaway last night tried off the cuff, shashlick, bhajis and tikka masala madras hot, was exceptional, will be ordering again soon.

We received a warm welcome when visiting The Cinnamon Lounge for an evening meal on Sunday. Really good choice of options on the menu, spoilt for choice!

Every couple of weeks we go for a good curry. Usually to another local restaurant. This evening we decided to make use of a Meercat voucher and try this place. From the moment we entered we were looked after in every regard. The food was delicious - although one dish was a little too hot, but that didn't make any difference, the side dishes and freshly cooked Naan were excellent. We were even treated to a drink before we left. The only minor criticism was the uncheckable bill - very confusing - however £80 for four of us including a couple of lagers each was good. We will be returning.

Used to be a really nice place to eat, we have been regulars for some time but standards have severely dropped. Not 1 piece of chicken that was discoloured or chewy like bubble gum. Extremely disappointing, will not be returning.

The Sunday Buffet is excellent food for an amazing price. Restaurant is very clean and well laid out. A choice of starters and mains with two salads poppadum's and naan bread. Staff very welcoming with a lovely atmosphere.

The place is so cosy and beautiful,the staff are absolutely brilliant and are always looking out if you need anything. Had a amazing meal with my family and will definitely recommend this place. Surely will be going there again soon.

Food amazing really fresh, nan bread was really nice. Good Service they couldn’t do enough! 2 difficult customers in at the time but staff remained professional with them. Even a complimentary drink at the end of meal. Will definitely be back.

Service was a bit slow, there was 3 other people in the restaurant so no excuse. the restaurant was cold and the food was awful. Rice was burnt and the lamb was full of fat. When they came to clear the table I was asked why I hadn’t eaten the food and I told them the problem and I had “sorry about that” I think he thought I was lying until he saw the unchewable fat on my plate that I had to remove from my mouth! Only went there as I had a 2for1 voucher and thought that we would give them a go, wish we hadn’t. When I presented the voucher code I was told that I needed to book in advance, I had prebooked and informed them that I had a 2for1 voucher!The bill still came to £35 for 4 soft drinks, 2main courses and some popadoms. Total rip off and not a nice experience at all. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I had set the app for Just Eat and decided to try it out, fancied a curry and the only one available in our area was Cinnamon Lounge, thought why not try it out for the first time. Usually order somewhere else, It was confirmed that my order for 1 would be ready by 8.30pm, at 8.40 still not here, I called and was told the driver had just left and was on his way, I am less than 5 mins away, the driver arrived 10 mins later, so 20 mins later overall. All could be forgiven if the food was amazing, or good. It was awful, cold, so heated in microwave, the pakoras were awful and a pathetic portion, and the chicken ( which I didn’t expect to be on the bone) consisted of 2 pieces, one of which had no meat on, the Chana Puri was ok.

We had eaten here on several occasions. Food always good until about a month before June. We had a take a way which was tasteless so went in the bin. When we went to the restaurant and had food once again it was tasteless. Spoke to the owner who was full of apologies. We did say we wouldn’t be back but he asked us to return and ask to speak to him before we ordered. So we went back unfortunately the owner was not working. We ordered and yet again food tasteless. Have never been back since

We called in for a take-away - we had a drink whilst we waited - the food came in good time - we were presented with the bill - which was £55 - hubby had already added up the prices and it should have come to £38 - he did rectify it but we felt it was a deliberate overcharge - just by the servers demeanor - the food was ok but we will steer clear of the place in the future

My wife, son and I ate food here from 22nd Sept 2018 to 28th, with 4 other friends every day after golf. The food is freshly made so some items that require to marinade may take longer like Paneer Shashlik ( Indian Cheese marinated and cooked in Tandoor Oven) rest of the food came quick with plenty of salad in good quantity. I am a vegetarian needless to say there were plenty to choose from, there is fish in various fried and with gravy and meat from tandoor oven like mixed tandoor drill. Every one thought the food was good and quantity was more than adequate. The owner is Ahmed very charming man who bends backwards to make you happy. On Fridays and Saturdays they are busy so book your table. They also do take away and delivery only of they are not busy. Will go there again.

The menu was not the usual Indian Restaurant menu, there were some unusual dishes on there, I tried one, a chicken dish cooked with mango and orange and it was delicious. The welcome was warm and the service speedy, I would certainly recommend a visit.

We are regular fans of Cinnamon Lounge both seating inside and as a take-away. However, although the food standard is equally high and consistent, the last few take-aways have always missed out on at least one item. We have not raised it as it would delay our meal but be aware. I have no doubt that it is a genuine mistake.

This is now my favourite place for takeaway s, the food is always fresh and the madras is as it’s supposed to be nice and hot, mushroom rice is nice and fragrant, I’ve converted at least half a dozen friends to her now and will keep recommending.

Good menu offering some more unusual Indian dishes, good range of meat and fish. Most dishes can be served as spicy as you wish. Good quality food. Friendly, knowledgeable staff.

Decided to go out for a meal and try somewhere different.... booked a table for 5 and had such excellent food and service. Food very tasty, service excellent, didn't need to ask for glasses to be topped up,, the staff were on it! The right level of service... considerate and well timed approach. I have eaten here 3 times now and it's never been better than average but the last time

Went on a Sunday with grandsons and very pleased with the self service selection. Next visit was an early evening one where we selected five different curries for each person to have a little from each. Though pleasant in taste all tasted the same and looked like bowls of same colour stew! General impression was it would have to improve before we paid another visit. Service was excellent as we were the only ones in there 7pm-8.30pm.

The outside of the building is no indication of what is inside. We visited for the Sunday lunch buffet. A good selection of curries and sides. The rice was a little dry as we're the naans, but not so much that it would prevent a second visit. The curries and sides were all perfectly spiced and I would recommendthe keema curry. The layers of spice left a lasting pleasurable taste. The cost was minimal and you can eat as much as you want.

Warm friendly welcome. Staff great Food fantastic have wanted to try for so long finally had the opportunity so glad we did will definately return thank you for welcoming the little one she loved it. Keep up the good work.

The food was very bland and tasteless.

We all enjoyed our visit to the Cinnamon lounge we went on a Monday evening taking advantage of the Monday evening offer of starter, main, rice or naan for a very reasonable price. Myself and my family enjoyed our visit especially the kids as there was nothing left on their plates at the end of our meal.

Visited for a special family birthday as a family group of 12 on Monday evening and could not fault anything. There were a couple of other tables dining too. The service was faultless! We did take a while to all choose but this was no problem to the staff in fact nothing was a problem to either of the staff working. My daughter was made a special cocktail for her birthday which was a nice touch and the man I think must be the manager took his time to talk to us and make our evening great. I took a cake and they brought this out complete with candles at the end of our meal. The food was excellent. Great flavours and really good portions and we all said how lovely it was. Would not hesitate in recommending Cinammon Lounge to anyone and I will certainly be back. Thanks again!

Spur of the moment first visit to Cinnamon Lounge. It was very quiet for a Friday evening but the welcome was warm and so was the curry!

I went here a few days ago and I can't even explain how amazed I was about this. When I first went I thought it would be one of those good restaurants but it turned out to be one of the best restaurants ever. The service was AMAZING the food was the best I've ever had. Cinnamon lounge is a clean ,nice place.I recommend this restaurant to EVERYONE. Can't wait to go again.

All i can say is that it is krap!

I ordered some food from here to share this New Years Eve. The food was late and so I phoned to chase up the order and was told that it was on its way. Nothing arrived and so I phoned after another half an hour to be told that it was just about to be delivered. I was then phoned about 15 minutes later and told that I must have had it. I confirmed that no delivery had been made and was told to 'F' off. They said that they would neither deliver the food or give a refund. I then contacted Just Eat who were told that no delivery was made and the food was returned to the restaurant but they were still not going to do anything about it. My mistake was paying in advance and assuming the restaurant was honourable. Please do not order anything from this place if you expect them to actually deliver what you have paid for or for them to offer any sort of customer service. They are happy to keep your money but not actually deliver any food. I would love to comment on the quality of the food which I paid for but it never arrived.
