The Cinnamon Lounge in Harborough

Placed an order which they accepted. They then waited 30 minutes and said because it was too busy they were now going to cancel our order unless I came to collect. I would avoid if I were you.

Delivery driver was lovely. Food wasnt very warm and missing items. Whatvwe did get was very tasty

We've never had a bad meal from The Cinnamon Lounge. Consistent quality tasty meals & large portions. Very polite delivery staff too.

Biryani and Masala were mostly cold, and we received a plain naan instead of a keeman naan. Onion bhajis were extremely greasy and appeared burnt, though they tasted OK.

It was a little late as they were very busy on the night , but we were kept updated and this was the only time it had happened. Normal they are on time.

We ordered a takeaway from here whilst visiting the area. The food was delicious, still warm after being delivered and there was a good choice of dishes on the menu. The prices were not too expensive and similar to other Indian restaurants.

Food arrived quickly and was very nice. Delivery driver was friendly too.

We were only given 1 poppadom sauce which I just think is so lousy, especially considering it’s our first time eating at this place and we’re a new customer they didn’t even bother to give more than one sauce. I’ve never eaten from a curry house without at least 3 poppadom sauces. And the poppadoms were stale. The actual flavour of the food was mediocre. We only chose this place as it was rated 4.6 stars compared to others - but think we prob would have been better choosing elsewhere

This restaurant has always been our go-to takeaway but I'm sad to say we're going to have to find a new one. I can live with price increases but judging from our latest order it seems that they're now doing shrinkflation, the amount of meat in the cinnamon kebab platter starter has decreased a lot, the size of the naan is now around half the size it was a few years ago, not even enough for one let alone two (we used to share one)

Sent the wrong order and then when I phoned them he pretended he didn't understand English. Lucky I couldn't drive otherwise I'd of gone back and threw it through the door at them

Excellent service and food was lovely! Only thing to let the place down was the 'lush' sitting at the bar! Very annoying! Also decor starting to look a little tired, could do with a freshen up.

This is the worse Indian take away I have ever ordered from. The poppadoms were stale, the korma was bland, cold and tasted nothing like any korma I have had before. The Tika masala also cold and dry. I can’t express how disappointed we were after waiting the full hour or more wait time. We couldn’t believe it! The best thing we had was the chips and even they were soggy but much more edible than the rest.

I have passed this restaurant many times later in the evening but always closed But I was early tonight and thought I would stop for a meal, So I stopped at around 17:20 and walked in. The restaurant was empty so not hard to get a table They do a £12.95 special but perusing the menu over the obligatory pint of Kingfisher along with a plain poppadom and pickles I decided on a fish dish. The server came to get my food order and his breath smelt badly of cigarette smoking- horrid! I ordered my food and tucked into the poppadom. I was wearing a vest, a thick shirt, a waistcoat, a hooded fleece and a down gilet it was bloody cold!!! So I went to the bar and changed my order to a takeaway to eat at home in the warm. While I waited I looked at the certificates/ awards on the wall From around 2016/2017 they truly represent a faded glory. This was once a pub ten years ago,and that shows. I doubt that any money has been spent on the place recently. It is dull, tired and worn; it is poorly lit and cold!! The food was ok. Not spectacular in any way, but just ok. They have a 4* hygiene rating so not the best So there you are- a below average experience in a below average restaurant sadly - I won’t go back sadly Gave 3* because the food was not terrible but they really do need to do better…and buy the waiter some mints or breath fresheners

I’m a very picky eater who is trying hard to broaden my palate. (This is a VERY difficult thing for me to do) Their side options for their curries are perfect for trying new things. I would highly recommend them, as even with my pickiness I haven’t found one I dislike. Obviously I have ones I prefer, but I’m really thankful for their large variety and their smaller side option. Thank you. It really takes a lot of the anxiety out of trying new things.

usually find the food really good but tonight was very disappointing. 15% off seemed to also mean 15% less food, no flavour in the paneer masala or mango chutney. The naan was very tough. The rice tasted off. The chips and poppadoms were the only good thing in this meal today. I am guessing it was an off day as usually everything is really good.

Half an hour late, stone cold food and when calling restaurant, was told nobody to speak to, manager wasn’t in and nobody could rectify the problem… blatantly not bothered and hasn’t a clue about customer service

Had a takeaway as we occasionally do. It arrived 15 minutes late, the food was cold. The paper bag had disintegrated due to all the grease that had leaked out of the containers. In fact you can see the delivery driver on the doorbell wiping the outside plastic bag. It was terrible. The bag was dripping oil. £6.50 for one breaded deep fried king prawn... We phoned to raise issues, poor customer service, told manager would call back but he didn't. Disappointing and won't order again which is a shame as been here for meals and had decent takeaways many times.

I really wanted this to be great but sadly the onion bahjis were really burnt and tasted awful, there was hardly any chicken on the tandoori chicken main, the aubergine was hard and there was hardly any spinach in the sag aloo. We were all a bit disappointed. It was clearly a busy night but for the price it really wasn’t good enough.

The tandoori mixed grill was very disappointing. It barely had any meat in? It looked like half was missing and the lamb kofta part we only got a tiny bit instead of the usual full part. Always had lovely meals in the past but we was very disappointed this time.

It’s a shame I can’t leave 0 stars. It was shocking delivery was amazing the food was horrendous to the point I personally didn’t eat it. My prawns for my prawn dansak was hard and 1 still had the shell on and i refuse to eat uncooked prawns so consequently couldn’t eat my meal, the small amount dansak itself tasted of nothing there was no spice nothing. My husband had the chicken masala which was exceptionally watery like a puddle of water. Shocking food will never ever order from there again.

First time I've used The Cinnamon Lounge. Delivery was great. Lovely friendly chap. Food was a little cold. Ordered a mushroom and tomato Naan but received a small plain Naan. I will give them another try despite the high delivery charge.

Portions have shrank. Containers are half full and the already small (compared to other curry houses) naans have shrank be 1/3rd. Cinnamon lounge was our most ordered tale away in 2023, but the last 2 have been disappointing.

Ordered for delivery. Took 2 hours, called twice and they didn't seem to know where the food was or where they were delivering it. Turned up barely warm and half empty.

I had missing items I rang the restaurant they were not helpful and actually quite rude.. I would like a refund

We always order Indian from here as the quality is always top! Was late this evening but being Christmas weekend it’s expected I expect.

Upon arrival we were taken to our table straight away. Before we sat down we were asked if we wanted a drink, my other half asked for a water and before I even had chance to order a drink the gentleman had ignored him and walked off. He Seated another table and took their drinks order. He then finally comes back to us and takes our drink order. I ordered a coke, they bring me a Diet Coke which was as flat as anything. We order food and it doesn’t take too long to come out and it was really good! He interrupted our meal to ask if we were finished after I put my cutlery down for about 5 seconds. When we are done we ask for 2 containers to take the food home and he brings one and tries to combine all our food together . When collecting our plates he was very heavy handed and had the dirty cutlery very close to me. The whole experience wasn’t very good. We felt very rushed and we didn’t feel welcome from the start. We nearly walked out but decided to give it a try. It was also very cold in the restaurant.

The Cinnamon lounge is lovely ... food excellent, drinks varied and well affordable. Why Harborough folks do not take avantage of this beautiful eating house is beyond me! Staff so polite and accommodating! My son and partner and myself had a full 2 course meal EACH and a bottle of wine and beers for around £60.00 all in with starters etc.. Great evening ! Thankyou. 🙂👍

Every time I order and the order is accepted, I then get notified the food is ready a few mins before the set time (great!). I then arrive and have to wait while they cook it.... If it's not ready, don't say it's ready to collect

Both the Chef`s Special Karahi and Lamb Tikka Main were quite dry and lacking sauce. They were also extremely salty. The naan bread was very thin and tough. Very disappointed.

Food cold, salad was a joke just wilted handful of stuff I clean out of a salad draw in fridge, popadoms soft no crunch and taste like days old. Last time I order

Gorgeous food. So hard to find a good quality Indian takeaway and this is fab. Meat melted in your mouth, spices on point. Fab.

Placed an order at 5.30pm for delivery at 7pm. Chased as still not received by 7.50pm and had a very rude man tell me 20 minutes before hanging up on me. I followed up at 8.10pm and again told its on its way and again they hung up the phone. Everytime I tried to ring again they put the phone down on me without answering. It took my husband to ring for them to tell him food was only just sent and then hung up on him. Food finally delivered at 8.30pm but cold. We have always used cinnamon lounge for both deliveries and restaurant however after this experience we will not be using them again nor recommending them to any family or friends in Market Harborough.
