Little India in Harborough

Beautiful Indian cuisine served by attentive and friendly staff. Called on without booking but had no problem getting a table, it was early. Food was delicious and service spot on, will certainly visit again.

Delivery was on time however it was over an hour wait, as usual though beautiful food. Piping hot and will definitely order again

We went in on a Sunday evening and this was the first time after many years of frequenting Little India regularly, that we felt the service and food was not up to their usual high standards.

I used to go here loads but less so in recent years. The food is excellent but the service and atmosphere are not quite what they once were.

Went for Sunday buffet Superb in everyway !!! Would highly recommend Excellent value for money Will be returning very soon

First time here and it's a mixed bag review. We visited with some friends and the initial service was very slow. Over an hour for everyone to get drinks. Some food orders had arrived before first drinks arrived for everyone. Food service was also slow but the food was very tasty. Chicken chazni made with honey, not very spicy but lovely. Others in the party ordered vindaloo which was, by all accounts very hot. Overall a good restaurant let down by poor service.

It was late and stone cold. We wanted a refund but despite numerous calls to the restaurant we were never offered one.

A group of us try and visit a new Indian restaurant once a month and this month we visited here. Staff really friendly Food absolutely delicious and huge portions Although a tad expensive will definitely return as the food it delicious

visited recently for family birthday meal 3 couples early doors., great menu we all chose early bird menu set price for reduced selection, plenty to choose from from and gent portions. overall great attentive service shout out for Naz who was extremely helpful offering advice on various dish strengths overall as we have visited many times before great food, value for money and excellent service

mix up with one of the curry's, sorted it asap and sent a new one out very quick with some extras. Amazing curries

The original delivery time was 7.20 but then changed to 7.25-40. The food arrived but was cold

Little India delivered on time, the food still as hot as it left the kitchen. I did ask for one of the dishes to be spicier ( hotter ) but it wasn’t, I can only assume no one read the messages. The food has great individual flavours, I would have liked the rice dishes to be seasoned with more salt, that could be just my personal preference. Thank you team Little India, but please make someone responsible in your restaurant for checking the notes, as it can make all the difference to our meals.😬

the food in this place is amazing.. everyone go out of there way to help your needs BUT the place its self very tired thread bare carpets in places and needs updating apart from that brilliant

Food quality is bad and overpriced

Over an hour late and the worst chicken naga I've ever had, not even a hint of spice, zero chilli's, no heat whatsoever. Used to be good. Tried to call them and they left me on hold and wouldn't speak to me.

Not as good as Cuisine of India sadly.

Great curry as always! Only disappointment was the starter, very small for what you pay. But other than that very good!

Called in for a takeaway Had a drink whilst waiting, which was approximately 30 minutes. The food was amazing. Great value. Highly recommended. Will definitely use Little India again!

Long wait for food, food came very cold. Hardly any paneer in the curry. I asked in notes for little bit of spice mild-medium. Was the most bland and tasteless curry I’ve had.

The food was a let down. Very disappointed at all 3 meals arriving luke warm at best.

I am sorry to say but the meal that we received tonight was not hot enough to be eaten the starter was cold and the main meal was only luke warm so we had to re warm the meal before we could eat it having ordered from you before and not having any issues but tonight meal for us very poor indeed to the point that I feel like I have wasted my money

Kate by a hour than asking the driver is the food hot reply yes yes very hot , all stone cold so things like fries and onion barji are soggy after chef Mike has to help , for 27.65 for one , another disappointing meal should of gone to the coop and got a microwave meal would of been better and cheaper

I've lived in the area now for around a decade and this is the best Indian food I have eaten whilst being here. I used to swear by Fleckney's when I lived there but since moving house over to Lutterworth way I have been ordering from Arnesby. If I'd have known how superior the food was I'd have been going all along. Incredible vegetarian options for my partner and dish choices galore... and they taste absolutely incredible. Will be back in pay day!

We ordered Chicken Tikka masala and Chicken Korma which was absolutely not taste like it need to be, couple pieces of chicken and a lot of very sweet, without spices sauce. I’m very disappointed with food. Wasted money

Wonderful buffet with plenty of choice including vegetarian options. Very tasty. Service friendly too. Lovely place and ample parking!

All the waiting staff were incredible and attentive and went above and beyond to make our evening extra lovely. The food was so delicious and the portions were great and so many options especially as a vegetarian. The restaurant was accessible and the staff even helped a family member into and out of the restaurant from the car park as he was using a walker. Would highly recommend!!

Always excellent food and service

As a huge fan of Indian Cuisine and having sampled many restaurants from Leicestershire, Warwickshire, London and Manchester I can say that this is hands down the best. The food and service are the best I have ever experienced and could not recommend more! Been coming here for many years now and will continue to do so

Tikka masala was terrible the worst I have ever had,watery and no flavour-sad as we would not order from here again now

Excellent tasting starters and mains. Generous portions too. Naz waited on our table and gave us excellent service. Prices were on the higher end, but well worth it.

What's happened to Little India? We ordered a take away by telephone and the order was read back to us correctly...including a vegetable dhansak. We collected the order, no veg dhansak but instead a veg korma. Decided to eat the korma but was so disgusting, the sauce was watery and split (grainy) and wierd taste. Out of 5 mains, 4 sauces were watery, something we've never experienced. The star is for the lamb biryani which was apparently tasty, lots of tender meat and good. We tried calling them as I believe any business should have the opportunity to put it right but they kept cutting the call. We did have a leaflet saying under new management...these may be teething problems or the result of a very busy Saturday night but I won't be risking spending my money there again.

Notification to say the order would be late. Tried to call the restaurant to see if we could collect rather than wait for delivery. No answer from the restaurant. 2 hours after we ordered we finally received our food. Had to feed part of our group separately due the lateness of the food. No explanation when the food was finally delivered other than sorry it was late. Very disappointing by this restaurant

Food ordered at 8 with an estimated delivery time of 35-45 minutes. Arrived at 920pm. Although we were updated that the delivery would be longer, this was almost immediately after placing the order, therefore one would assume that the restaurant would have known already that it would be longer, little bit of a cheeky ploy! This meant food had to be reheated upon arrival and essentially then became a £50+ microwave meal! Food was nice, lost stars because WE had to essentially cook it ourselves..

I came here with my son and friend.Not been here for a few years.All the staff we very friendly and pleasant. We had poppadoms, pickles and nan breads and had different curries all of which were very very good.We will certainly be coming back here again.

Sadly disappointed, we had a text to say food running late, fair enough appreciate the update but food was cold and the tikka masala watery. We left most of it, just didn’t taste great. Tried x 3 to ring and speak to restaurant but engaged so gave up and made contact with JustEat. Just didn’t live up to the reviews, which is a shame as first time trying

£12.50 for a Sunday buffet everything was excellent top food ...top service....Will be definitely recommending to friends and family ....well done little india you should be very proud x

Very disappointed that we booked a specific time but then 40 mins late.

The food was amazing, and delivered in a very attentive manner. The style of the meal and service was quite nostalgic, reminiscent of the 80s, but that is something we loved. Best curry we have had in a long time and we will definitely be going again.

Food is always excellent we use little India whenever we have a take away treat. The only down fall this time was delivery was 25 minutes late but this is the only time it’s happened out of many orders we’ve placed so will not put me off using little India.

My first time visiting this restaurant, and the food was absolutely fantastic. The service was also excellent. Will definitely be returning.

The food had no taste to it at all it was sub standard. The chilli chicken tasted sweet, not spicy at all, the flavour was more like tomato ketchup than curry. The mixed grill was not worth £13, the lamb was over cooked, everything was flavourless. We enjoyed the poppadoms the most which is saying something.

Both dishes has excessive amount of onion, never had an Indian meal with so many, the lamb in the mixed kharai was tough, I always have a mixed kharai from an indian and this is one i would not have again, my partner said the garlic chilli massala was not that good either, full on onions n very much tasted of tumeric

Went to little India tonight for the first time it was so nice. Everyone very friendly and helpful. We ordered way too much food but it was excellent. All the leftovers packed up to bring home. Lovely atmosphere definitely worth a visit we will be back.

A lovely place... I was impressd by the classy decor from the outset. We were shown to a well dressed table by a well dressed waiter. The whole place was smart and dreszed for fine dining. The menu was excellent, with a clear description of what each component of the meal consisted of. The excellent food was cooked to order, no premixed sauces from a catering jar, so be prepared for a short wait, but it is really worth it. Popadoms filled the gap nicely, but I anticipate a starter would have dome the job just as well. When the food came, there were table heaters for keeping the food warm. The food was excellent, and lots of it. I have eaten in a lot of Indian restaurants around the world and this food is up with the best. The staff were very attentive, without being obtrusive...an art form. The same for "The Boss", who dilligently checked we had emjoyed the experience. We had loved it and will be back. In a nutshell... the decor and staff would qualify as fine dining. The food, whilst excellent, could maybe benefit with taking the presentation up a level. Earing a nice meal begins with the eyes. That said, the flavours and spices once tasted spoke for themselves. Highly recommended and we will be back.

Chicken Tikka Biriani was really good. The panir in the sag panir had a bit of a tofu like texture which I wasn’t keen on, but the sag sauce was really tasty. Thank you

The food portions were very small for the prices, both bhindi and mushroom currys seemed to have the same sauce and the dal was very thick, overall no taste including the nan:(

My go to Indian restaurant whenever I visit the in-laws. Usual excellent service and food on my most recent visit. Always make everyone most welcome with attentive but not intrusive service.

I (and my friends) have dined here (both sit in and takeaways) many, many times for well over a decade, especially when I lived in S.Leics. Couple of weeks ago I decided it was time (and safe enough) to start eating out again and tbh I've missed eating here. Anyway, I was delighted to find both the service and food were just as good as they've always been. From the moment I arrived, they were all very warm and welcoming, and nothing was too much trouble. The food was absolutely delicious; everything fresh, cooked properly, plenty of flavours, decent portions etc. Fantastic! We shall be back! *NB oh, and if you need something spicy, just ask! I once asked for a very hot Jhal Tikka. It was so hot, I may as well have been eating the Sun (and I say this as someone who regularly cooks with Ghost). So if like me, hot's your thing, don't worry, they've got your back!

Well I thought this place was good...Poppadums were stale, the starters were good as in the sheik kebab...but im afraid the curry was rubbish...I don't understand why they can't deliver a decent curry at the weekend..? Fridays and Saturdays seem to be a problem. Don't you have enough staff ? It's seems to be a common theme with takeaway Curry at the weekend..and that's not a rant at you guys, but all the other takeaways seem to be the same...sort it out please

Originally 1820 delivery turned up at 1835 and the food had to be reheated as only warm

It's great food, however, for the cost and amount, im afraid I won't be ordering again..halved the portions which is very disappointing.

Food was very late, I called the restaurant 20 minutes after original delivery time and they said it was on the way. 40 minutes later it turned up. It was cold so had to reheat. Tasted ok but delivery was shocking.

Consistently excellent, never fails to provide excellent tasty dishes. Friendly staff, just the best Indian restaurant in the area.

I reluctantly give Little India 2 star's now. Very very sad to see the decline of what was a very good Indian restaurant. The takeaway £55 that I had last Saturday was not anywhere near good enough. Having specifically asked for lime pickle, that got forgot. I dipped my poppadom's into a watered down mango chutney which resembled a mild orange wallpaper paste, the rest of the dips lacked any imagination and tasted equally as tasteless. The mains that I have had before lacked any flavour or care in the cooking process. The Buttered chicken sauce was absolutely tasteless, the Chicken Razella tasted hot but not authentically cooked. I've had this dish at Little India probably 15 times and it has slowly decreased in quality over the last 10 years. The Nan breads tasted like one of Putins missiles, hard and indestructible. The rice had been undercooked and the entire meal was pretty much inedible. Sadly my last visit to a restaurant that has had its day.

Best Indian we’ve ever had! So so impressed with this place. The staff are impeccable and very attentive and the food is the best we’ve ever tasted! Can’t praise this place enough. VERY impressed.
