Ali's Indian Cuisine in Corby

Don’t bother! Staff unable to take a simple order over the phone and then demand you pay for food you didn’t order. Total rip off. This is not the first time and always find the wait for delivery is twice the time you tell you. Food has also gone down hill. Time to try a new Indian takeaway.

Staff friendly, we didn't have to wait long for our order, food was delicious. We had booked a table for 5, we had 1 1/2 hours there then was informed they had another booking for that table. It is a small restaurant but very busy with take away orders which we have also had occasionally, food cooked very well, efficient service.

Ordered food for collection. Arrived at allocated time and had to wait 45 minutes. Returned home, items from order missing. Unable to get through via phone so had to return to restaurant.

I’ve tried several Indians since I moved to Corby several years ago and never found one I really liked. That has now changed. I’ve had a few takeaways and the other night I sat in the restaurant with a friend. The food was excellent, best I’ve had in ages and the service was good too. Very highly recommended.

the lamb korai is so goood and the food is not oily rich and tasty never disappoints. takes about 30mins to 45mins depending on the day but never later all good value

Meat was cooked perfectly sadly sauce was rubbish very watery no flavour vinderloo was at best no hotter than a korma £45 disappointed and gutted tbh

I only told the gentleman when I got there that I’d made 66 flights to India in 6 years so he had no idea that I would be testing the restaurant. The restaurant was spotless, and despite being in an area of Corby which has been neglected in recent years, the outside was well maintained and spotless too. This is always reassuring, and tells me that Ali’s taking pride in the restaurant’s appearance, hygiene and cleanliness meaning top rate food. In fact, Ali’s is the only restaurant in Corby that has Puris on the menu. The others will make them, but few people ask for these delicious deep fried gram flour roti. Additionally, some places have charged doubled £3.00 each, what Ali’s (£1.50) charges, so this is a pleasant surprise. I had a lamb Dhansak and the meat was tender and very plentiful. My son had a Korma and it was excellent, as was my wife’s chicken tikka. The only very slight, tiny thing was the takeaway was in foil containers and these always leak. However, these were in a very sturdy plastic bag which didn’t leak at all. It’s not enough to stop me going back because the food is the best in the town. I shall be recommending this to my family and friends, and I shall certainly visit when the restaurant opens again. You won’t get better Indian food I the town from a spotlessly clean and friendly restaurant. I highly recommend it.

Exceptionally poor service tonight. Ordered before 1800hrs. Called them at 1920 and were told 15 mins. Still waiting for meal at 2016 hrs with the takeaways phone apparently off the hook. Now making beans on toast and expect a full refund.

Normally we eat here once a month or so, in person. Myself, and my two teenage sons. The current virus situation has made this impossible, so a delivery it was. Food arrived hot, well packaged, and as good as the restaurant food in every way. I know I have said this before; but once again, this is the best restaurant in town.

We collected 3 main meals, during the current lockdown and they were excellent. Discount also given and the food was still warm when we got it home. Will certainly use Ali's again. Great service.

This place has really gone down hill. The food is very poor quality and they more often than not get the order wrong. Avoid it like the plague. There are much better places to eat in Corby.

A lovely little restaurant, ran by genuinely nice people. Food is first class, portions are large, and the menu is superb. Whether for a sit down with my sons, or a quick takeaway, this place always delivers.

Good fresh curry, food very tasty and good prices, very friendly staff that are welcoming, nice atmosphere, music not too loud.

Visiting Corby and went here for a meal. Very good. Service a little slow but they were busy. good atmosphere.

Decided to use Ali's for the first time after being recommended, WOW absolute fantastic food, the onion bhaji's were as they should be, not flat small things soft in the middle and lacking in task, but tennis ball size full flavour with a kick of chilly, one of the best bhaji I have ever tasted. As for the rest of the food, an absolute flavour explosion!!!. Will defiantly order again! Thank you for the experience.

Arrived 30mins late but I was surprised they were delivering in the snow so bonus points there, could have been proactive in letting us know it would be late though. Food was tasty as usual, I was a little disappointed that my naan bread was slightly undercooked, naans are usually very good from here.

This was the first time we have had a takeaway from Ali's and we were very impressed. Food delivered on time, piping hot and very delicious. Would definitely recommend and will use again.

The food was really tasty!! It did arrive 20 odd minutes late and was “warm-hot” so edible. no call to say it would be late. The food was so yummy that I will order again and to allow them to re-deem the late delivery situation.

1st time I have used Ali's in a long time and will deffinetly be ordering again, the food was lovely and fresh with loads of flavour. It was delivered in time.

Been waiting for over 2 hours past the delivery time

we ordered our food at 18:00 the delivery time was pushed back by 15 minutes initially to 19:00 at 19:15 we called the restaurant, we were told it would be there before 19:30, I called back again at 20:00, and was told that actually they had just left with the order I am still waiting at 20:30

the food is always lovely from here and must order from this place at least twice a month but they need to cook the chicken longer, pink chicken in the food but just moved it aside and enjoyed the rest of the meal

Our order had to be cancelled because even though just eat said 60-75 mins they then rang 10 mins after the order was placed saying it would be an easy 2 hour or longer wait.... so we took our business elsewhere.

I pre ordered my food about 4 hours before it was due to be collected. When I went to collect my order the restaurant had gave my order to someone else! I then had to wait for over half hour for them to redo my order. They gave me an onion bhaji free and apologised for the mix up. It was just very frustrating that when you pre order something and you would expect it to be ready, which it was, but they didn’t check the order details correctly before handing it out to the wrong person. I used just eat so we could pre order the food as we also had another order to collect from somewhere else which was collected before I went to Ali’s. This meant that the other food was freezing cold by the time they rectified there mistake and redone my food. Once we actually got round to eating the food from Ali’s it was really nice it was just very frustrating that it was such a mess up in the first place.

Ordered food at 9.18pm. Half my party had left by 11.30 when the food arrived over 2 hours later and most of it went in the bin as there was no-one to eat it, although it tasted nice i ordered for 4 people and only 2 peaople ate because of the delay in delivery

Food was over an hour late, phoned them and they gave apologies and said they were 15 mins behind, gave free bottle of drink and food still hadn't arrived 45 mins after. Phoned and cancelled order and 2 min later guy turns up with food, sent back and then 30 mins later comes back with order which they said they wouldn't charge for by which time it would have been cold anyway! Won't bother using them again.

My first try of this restaurant, Very tasty food, was delivered hot and quickly, 35 minutes before stated delivery time, I will order again!

Nicest Indian food I've had, just ashame that we had to wait more than expected but the meal was so worth it.
