The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving Indian food

I’ve been eating here every Thursday for the last 10 weeks, every meal has been exceptional different meals each time This week was lamb Handi special 10 out of 10 again Friendly staff warned me when food was going to be hot ( I didn’t listen) food was still very tasty

I love this place! My wife and I consider ourselves foodies and we don’t just eat anything because it’s food. We’ve gotta like it to love it! We LOVE this place!! Don’t be caught off guard. I know you’ll probably have the same feelings when you approach the restaurant and see that it’s next to a gas station. This place is a hidden gem and we drive all the way from Clearwater just to eat their food. Give them some grace and an open mind. When we started coming years ago they had a restaurant and still do but they’re doing renovations to it so they have to keep the business going by cooking out of a food truck! The food is just as great! Seriously! I’ve been coming here for years! If anyone is looking for amazing Indian food this is the place- no exceptions! You will love it and I can’t wait to see the updated restaurant! Don’t write a negative review because they can’t open their restaurant right now, it’s out of their hands. They’re doing the best with what they have so let them continue by pushing out legendary cuisine!

Food was cold when it arrived so had to put in the oven to heat up (put this down to us living 4miles away) but the food was delicious when we ate it

The vegetable Karahi was absolutely beautiful and incredibly tasty, and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I highly recommend the Passage to India.

Not sure if these guys have a new chef but if they do... keep him and pay him anything he wants. The best curry I've had in a decade. Absolutely full of flavour and just enough spice to provide a kick. Naan bread stayed soft throughout. Perfect

Do traditional gujarati cooking and garden. Always tasty and reasonably priced. They do frozen party foods too.

Booked for a 50th birthday. First of all the staff are very nice for the most part. Saying that the food is 7/10. All very rushed. Asked for a break between starter and main. Probably got 5 mins max. It's not a proper restaurant as you imagine one. More like a McDonalds where you sit and order. Also broken walls outside so not the best first impression. Inside not the best. A bit scruffy. My mother in her 70s had to report a blocked toilet in the ladies. Nice. The price wasn't too bad ro be fair though. Although booked for birthday no mention but others got what seemed to be a sparkler on a samosa or something. £150 for six of us including starters. Came out and cars of Asian men playing music and stood round outside. Uncomfortable atmosphere. So yeah won't be back but If you want a decent Indian and you can eat quick and don't mind a hood chav atmosphere when you leave then your good. lRating 5/10.

Another great visit to Mowgli. Chat bombs were great. We got a selection of dishes for £25 a head. Great service., bright and cheery atmosphere. We sat in the window swing seat which was lovely.

The sweets were AMAZING ! The kit kat things are to die for !! Also Samosa and spring rolls are some of the best I've tried. I can highly recommend 👌
