Paparazzi in Tamworth

A very distinctly average restaurant, made to look better than it is with smoke and mirrors. Firstly the good things. Wonderfully warm welcome (however this is where the service level stopped) Love the dark moody decor, great selection of background music, ambient temperature perfect. Not so good things. We were a table of 6 friends, once seated it took 45 minutes to take our food order. Then a further 40 minutes for the first course to arrive. Every time we required a round of drinks, we literally had to wave a flag to get anyone's attention. Because we are not instagrammers or didn't have the flashes constantly going off on our phones, it seems like our business wasn't as important. They attended the tables of people taking selfies and wanting flashy firework drinks, but not those who were quite happy to simply order the extortionately priced mixer drinks. Food. Very very average. But served in the dark, on fancy plates, with a bowl of dry ice to make it seem like an experience. Not served particularly warm either. Shame.. but I feel they are all about the insta! Coming across nice and flashy, but ultimately they one thing that would make them stand out far more, is improving their service.

Too expensive for the amount of food you get. I left feeling hungry. Sorry but £14.00 for one of the starters?? I ordered the steak, it only comes with salad and green beans. So had to order separate sides. Service was not great either for a restaurant of this calibre. We had to call the staff to our tables to take our order. There was no fire show as advertised on website. Don't know why they every charge service charge. Left feeling hungry.

So Tamworth is a wasteland for decent places to eat, this place looked like an Indian restaurant, it wasn't, more Mediterranean, had a fantastic starter, lamb main, the bowl of dry ice, nope added nothing to the meal, on our way out there was a fire dancer, she was amazing. Clearly a place to go with friends for a theatrical meal experience.

Went to Paparazzi recently for New Year’s Eve, and I had high hopes! The place has a lot of potential, but it wasn’t quite the experience I was expecting for the price. Ambiance: The restaurant itself is really beautiful—modern, sleek, and very Instagram-worthy. The dry ice touch on some of the food was a cool detail that gave everything a bit of a show-stopping vibe. The music got louder after 9 PM, which I actually liked since it felt more like a New Year’s Eve celebration. That said, the atmosphere overall felt a bit underwhelming for such a special event. There was no special decor, countdown vibes, or festive energy—just business as usual. At £90 per head, I was expecting something more memorable. Service: We were seated straight away after the host returned from seating another table, so there wasn’t much of a wait to be seated, which was great. However, the service overall felt inconsistent. We were initially seated at a table right by the entrance, which felt like the “leftover” spot that nobody wants. Thankfully, the hostess moved us when we asked, which was appreciated. But throughout the evening, the service remained impersonal—nobody came to check on how our food was, which was disappointing. Another strange detail was that some guests had their coats taken by the staff, but we weren’t offered that service. There was also no mention of the special occasion I noted in our booking, which felt like a missed opportunity to make the experience more special. The Food & Drinks: The drinks menu had a good variety—a mix of wines, cocktails, and mocktails—so there’s something for everyone. The pornstar martini was amazing—probably one of the best I’ve had! If you’re looking for somewhere to grab drinks in style, I’d recommend Paparazzi just for that. The food, however, didn’t live up to the hype. The starter was beautifully presented, but the main course was underwhelming—it looked like I’d plated up fast food at home. The portion sizes were good, but for the price, I expected something more elevated. I was also tempted to order the steak, but it came with an extra £40 charge on top of the £90 per person for the New Year’s Eve menu, which I just couldn’t justify. We ended up skipping dessert altogether since the food hadn’t impressed us enough to continue. Extras: One thing I did appreciate was the convenient parking—there’s a car park right outside the restaurant, which makes arriving stress-free. The little touches, like having our napkins placed on our laps and being offered hand wipes after the meal, added a touch of luxury, but it wasn’t enough to make up for the overall experience. Special Occasions: If you’re looking to celebrate something special, I wouldn’t recommend Paparazzi. The experience didn’t make the occasion feel special at all, which was disappointing, especially for New Year’s Eve. Value for Money: The New Year’s Eve menu didn’t feel worth the cost compared to what I’ve seen from their regular menu. I wish I’d had the option to try the regular menu instead—it felt like I was mostly paying for the aesthetics and presentation rather than top-tier food and service. Final Thoughts: Would I go back to Paparazzi? For drinks—absolutely. The cocktails and ambiance make it a great spot to dress up and grab some stylish drinks. But for food, especially for special occasions, I wouldn’t rush back. At that price point, you expect an experience, not just a nice meal. .

This place is great. The ambience of the whole place is lovely. The waiters were all very friendly. Special mention to Enzo who hosted my family and friends and executed my brother’s engagement so well!! Would 100% recommend.

Enzo is our favourite for helping with photos. Very nice place and food have been several times will visit again and recommend just for enzo.

Food was lovely. However really disappointed I rang before hand to say it was mine and my partner birthday as we share the same day and request something to the table. Nothing was brought over even though other tables around me go things brought for birthday celebrations. I requested and even offered to pay extra but still got nothing. when mentioned to the waiter when leaving he offered to bring something but at this point i was leaving the restaurant after spending a lot of money and still tipping.

A very different restaurant experience for Tamworth. Stylish and luxurious interior. Modern food and attentive service. As we were a large group, we had the use of the private dining room for as long as we wanted. Our designated waiter, Enzo was friendly and helpful throughout. Neither pub food nor pub food prices, but highly recommended for a special meal.

Despite letting them know we were there for our 32nd wedding anniversary, there was no acknowledgement of our special occasion. Food ok but mashed potato clearly not prepared on the premises despite the protestations of our server. Service charge 12.5% and not worth it for the generic and lazy service - won’t be going back - such a shame for Tamworth!

Went here after seeing brilliant things about it on social media. We wasn’t disappointed. The food was amazing and arrived in good time. The ambience was brilliant. The staff and the service was great and we really enjoyed our experience here.

The venue is amazing, red carpet entrance, staff welcoming on arrival. We had an assigned waiter Enzo who was amazing, he attended to all of our needs as a party of 14 and all my guests received an excellent service. The only thing I'd say that could be better was the lighting, the decor and theme were amazing but made the restaurant dark. However that being said they have a light that helped us take amazing pictures. Thank you Paparazzi for an amazing dining experience, the food was 10/10 and professionally presented. The entertainment was also 10/10. We will definitely be coming back again.

We went to paparazzi for my 18th Birthday and I quite honestly admit that I wouldn’t have wanted to go anywhere else to celebrate it. The service, the ambiance and the luxury feel to the place added to the experience. Enzo and Sam were our waiters and were most attentive throughout the night. The one thing I can say for sure is that this place is meant to be in the big cities - Manchester, Birmingham, London so if you want that city luxury restaurant without the travel and time paparazzi is most defiantly the place to go. The food portions were perfectly sized and the menu had enough variety without feeling over faced …. Not to mention their cocktail list which was more than tempting Food pictures of : Wagyu burger - absolutely mouth watering Yaki upon chicken - cooked with so much flavour

As far as fine dining goes in Tamworth--YES, very nice-fresh and tasty food A bit of salad to some of the starters would be welcome---to cut through the richness and justify the cost for eg the halloumi and dynamite prawns that we had Your terms and conditions--I d say ditch them, they are too busy and make no sense-our son lost out on this experience --- as you state'' no children on weekends'', however, we saw quite a few in attendance, 1 younger than 5 yrs old! Dress code? a gent sat across us in a tracksuit, the other in shorts and crocs. My husband changed out of his jeans prior to coming, after looking at some of the reviews where people were turned away Futile in trying to add a review with email then sent asking for a review post visit as just would not submit after all taking the time to do so--we hope to bring our son for his special birthday in September The food was fab--a lovely place for a special occassion

The restaurant it self looks very posh and glamorous! Atmosphere inside is even better! All mirror walls and huge Sakura trees! Food is very delicious as well and the try to entertain guests!

If your idea of a perfect dining experience includes, amazing food, exceptional service, in a unique, stunning atmosphere . . . then ‘PAPARAZZI’ in Tamworth, is the only restaurant worth considering. From the outset, the staff were friendly and efficient, willingly providing us with information about the numerous dishes on the menu. The food was outstanding from start to finish, from Dynamite King Prawns that were, to quote my husband “absolutely delicious . . . I’ve never tasted anything like them.” Then to the main course of Fillet Steak and Lamb Cutlets that were ‘cooked to perfection’. The whole dining experience was very pleasant and relaxing and we feel that the prices are in accordance with the quality of food and service provided. We will definitely be returning to ‘PAPARAZZI’ on our next visit to Tamworth.

Me and the girls went for one of the girls birthday meals and wow was we blown away! Excellent service! Food and drinks were to die for especially the presentation. Me and my friends will deffo be coming back here very soon. Hats off to all the staff for making us feel welcome and to the chefs for the 10/10 food.

Came for 70th birthday meal with friends. To say the 70 year old felt out of place was an understatement. If you’re not Asian scantily dressed or covered in bling you won’t fit in here. The food is very expensive as are the drinks. Won’t be rushing back
