Well Saturday 31st August at around 6.45pm & the place was empty . I still went in as I fancied an indian & Albany Spice was completely full & fully booked even for one ! Anyway, the young man on duty, was not really engaged, I tried to talk with him, & I asked questions about the menu & he had no absolutely idea of the dishes & admitted he'd not been there long, chef supposedly from Gudgarat, so I asked which dishes were regional, & he wasn't sure & then asked the chef. Anyway, chilli Paneer starter, was fried & glooped in a kind of barbecue sauce with chilli & bits of green peppers, not recommended . Followed up by Veg Makhanwala which was cauliflower beans & carrots drowned in a terribly creamy coconut sauce & was quite bland . Chicken Jalfrezi was far too ghee or oily , some green peppers, no chilies, & not spicy at all. an undercooked thin plain nan & a half portion of plain rice. I ate as I was hungry & I ate sadly without much to be pleased about. Sparkling water was my drink. The sole waiter at no point came to ask me if things were OK, & at the end of the meal I waved & he immediately brought the bill, which was £38.48 including a £4.28 service charge. I paid, but will definitely not be going back! Isleworth beckons next time & the choices are various! Disappointed & expensive is my opinion of "The Zero" ( not the best of names either!)

We found Zero when staying nearby and enjoyed one of the best Indian Restaurants in have had in a long time. The staff were helpful in selecting food and attentive. The menu is humorous giving a reason to eat the food rather than telling you much about some of the dishes, others it gives a full and detailed description. There isn’t much more to say other than I recommend this place.

Started okay. Window table with a view of the river, nice bottle of wine, service seemed good, really enjoyed the poppadoms. My ZFC Chicken starter didn't turn up. After about 15 minutes after my husband's starter arrived I was advised there had been an issue with my food - which I appreciate - no one wants to eat something undercooked / inedible, but it should have been communicated better, and faster. I was asked if I wanted my starter at the same time of my main course - no issue at all - I was looking forward to trying it. When it turned up it looked as big as a full spatchcock chicken which was bizarre and, whilst hilarious, a little off-putting. In addition, the Chicken Biryani I ordered turned out to be Lamb (which wasn't the end of the world because I like Lamb), and we totally forgot about the Naan bread we had ordered, which didn't turn up. All in all not great. Brentford is undergoing a huge renovation project and modern apartment blocks and restaurants are popping up all over the place. This place really needs to up it's game.

From the start the poppadoms were awful not cooked on the premises and tasted vile,no chutneys with them yuk tasted of burnt cardboard . Our main courses just looked vile smothered in oil and loaded with salt that was all you could taste, the rice was the only thing we ate

This must be the worst Indian “food” I have ever eaten. I ordered samosa’s to start and, after about 20 mins, 3, what I can only describe as “Iceland’ samosa’s appeared, one cold in the middle, with a mint sauce. Not what they looked like on the menu. It was like the puff pastry used on spring rolls, not the pastry one normally gets however, they were edible. My main was, allegedly, a chicken jalfrezi. It was like nothing I had ever seen or tasted previously. The sauce was charcoal coloured, so dark you could not tell what was in it. I got 4 small pieces of chicken, maybe two small peppers cut into small 1” x 1” pieces, and some onions. I had asked for it to be made a little spicy, like a madras curry heat. It was bland, tasted of nothing, no heat at all. The rice was nice (thankfully) and the paratha was also good, but only about 6” in diameter. Including a beer at £3.10, I was charged nearly £24 for a meal that, on the whole was extremely poor. I mentioned this to the lone waiter and he told me that everyone “loved” his jalfrezi. I very much doubt it. The restaurant is well named and, if I were able to give a score of <0, I most certainly would. Would never set foot in it again David

Was in the area to watch the nearby Brentford Fc match and found this place. The menu was a little different to usual Indian restaurants I visit. The poppodoms weren’t the usual large circular ones with sides but small crisp style ones (suspiciously like the ones in M&S!!) I ordered chicken handi for my main but they didn’t do pilar rice so had jeema rice. It was superb tbh !! Again tho no keema naan available or lager on draft hence the lower score.

Absolutely dreadful communication. We used to love this place despite questionable but charming service. Recently the restaurant has been closed despite the opening hours and even worse our order has been cancelled on two separate occasions after ordering on Uber Eats, each time at least 10 minutes after ordering. Considering the prices charged, one expects a magnitudinally different experience

First time visitor, fancied a sit down curry rather than takeaway. Really good service, menu is varied and cost is reasonable. The onion bhajis are gorgeous, crispy and light. The mango salsa was very tasty. Only negatives were that after taking our plates away I would have expected them to come and wipe down the table, and the virgin pina colada was from a pre made bottle I’ve seen in the local supermarket; they could have made this themselves and it would be much better. Overall though, will go back, lovely place.

Thank you Holy Spice for taking a reservation and when we got there you told us that we couldn't have a table as there was no food. Even though you had people seated and taking orders for delivery.Because of you, we were able to find a little gem called Papaya in South Ealing. Beautiful Srilankan food. Thank you again!!

We were staying over the road at Holiday Inn so location was great. The restaurant has a great vegan menu. My wife and I tucked into a generous mushroom based starter followed by a gorgeous vegan "lamb" main course. We had a bottle of wine. Entire meal was approx £70 which I thought was good value. I have been here before and will definitely return.

We were a group of four. I think the chef had gone home as we couldn't get a few things of the menu. The poppadoms were the ones from a crisp packet and the onion bagees were worse than shop brought. I had a lamb biriani. The rice part of the dish was nice but they served it with a white runny sauce that was bitter when I questioned it they said that's how they do it in India. I have uploaded a picture which was what we left as it was so poor!

We have eaten in here many times and it is always a delight - very tasty food (and really spicy) and lots of original dishes. Tonight we picked up a takeaway and were delighted that the dishes were just as carefully prepared and generous portion sizes. A real local treasure.

I organised dinner for 8 here for my birthday on Friday 27.5.22. We all ate here for the 1st time and we all unanimously agreed that the flavours of Holy Spice's food are different to the usual curry houses' and are very tasty and fresh. The biryanis really stand out, and are close to the best I have eaten in London. The portions are huge which means I had leftover to enjoy the next day when the biryani is even more flavoursome. Good food in itself does not make a restaurant stand out. The service and customer care are also excellent, with the execution of my pre order and instructions carried out to the letter. The co-owner Ankur is an attentive and considerate host, who is supported by his charming wife Anjeli behind the bar. When I accidentally broke a glass, they were so gracious about it and laughed it off. They were also happy for my friend to bring the birthday cake she made and helped with the candles, plates etc. The prices for both food and drink are more than reasonable and Holy Spice even participates in carbon free dining whereby £1.23 is charged in exchange for a GiftTree to be planted. Take away boxes are in carton, not plastic, and carrier bags are paper, not plastic, so well done Holy Spice for your green credentials! I highly recommend this restaurant as do all my 7 friends, and we will be back! Holy Spice really deserves all the support they can get as they had opened very shortly before the covid lockdown and have done well to survive those 2 years. So if you are reading this, do go and you won't regret it!

We were staying at The Holiday Inn opposite so decided to eat here. There was a problem with the order, we didn't actually get the side dishes we asked for. That said the food was delicious and one of the best curries I have had. Hopefully we will be working in the area again and we will definitely eat here.

Awkwardly located with no practical parking, this place is frequently less busy than it should be. The food is very good but the menu is lopsided. The main menu lacks vegetable side dishes but perhaps one can extract those from the vegan menu? My partner changed his starter order when told that sheek kebab would take 20 minutes. Given the speed with which our perfectly acceptable starters reached the table, this is inexplicable. Spicing is pretty deft. The annoying thing was music, maybe from internet radio, with intense bass and far too loud. Service was pleasant in a way that been taught rather than coming naturally.

The food is good here but they charge you ridiculously for extra chutney, channa and papad( with South Indian meals) I was charged 2.25 pounds for a small papad and it’s shocking I have eaten the South Indian thali in other good and affordable places but they don’t charge these kind of high charges for extra chutneys and papads
