The best restaurants serving French food in Leeds Yorkshire and The Humber

We’ve visited a couple of times after a friend close to Garforth recommended the place. It gets very busy at the weekend so I recommend coming midweek or getting here early! It’s a sweet little shop in an unsuspecting area, next to the leisure centre. There are a big range of treats on offer with savoury and sweet pastries, and lots of gorgeous cakes and tarts. At Easter there were lots of eggs on sale too. You can buy a lot of the good stuff from the counter: the first time we went I ordered a mini chocolate mousse cake and it was absolutely to die for. Melt in the mouth and the silkiest creamiest mousse. It was so good I ordered a birthday cake for my husband. This was the “origine” cake which is layers of dark and milk chocolate cake and mousse. We were blown away by this - it was rich and creamy and more like a dessert than a cake. It went down extremely well. I ordered a medium which was about 6-8 portions; it’s very rich so you don’t need big slices. I think this will be a new go-to for birthdays for us, we couldn’t get enough of it and the ordering process was simple and easy. It was such a wonderful treat to be able to order such a high quality cake here in Leeds and was worth the 25 minute drive from the other side of the ring road. Actually, for that cake I think I would happily walk over hot coals the whole way just to get another slice. Beautifully presented and made with f great care. They also run cookery school sessions if you get a group together, which is something we might try in the future. Can’t wait to come back.

La comida siempre es de primera calidad, hecha con amor y pasión. Todos los que entran son recibidos tan encantadores. Tiene una sensación familiar muy encantadora. No puedo esperar a volver en unas semanas.

This was our usual, pre-Christmas, family get together at BB - albeit minus grand-daughter but plus, for the first time, the family dog, who was well looked after Orders were taken promptly - by the waitress we had met on previous visits - and the starters appeared at the expected time. Then we could tell that something had gone wrong - as our 'mains' of those and other diners, did not appear. Eventually we learnt that there had been a genuine medical emergency in the kitchen - causing a 30 minutes delay. That gained our sympathy but a much earlier explanation would have been a good idea. Starters were fine - being of the usual quality but unfortunately there were aspects of the 'mains' that were not up to the usual standards - presumably due to the disruption in the kitchen. In fairness, to compensate for the delay, we were offered desserts 'on the house' but could not risk missing a train or being late for the school pick up respectively, plus the dog had been very patient for longer than expected to be needed (as had we known about the 30 minutes delay, he could have had a walk between courses) - so had to decline. Despite the issues, we did still pay the usual gratuity - as the problems were not down to our waitress and it must have been difficult for the kitchen staff with the head chef having to go off site in the middle of service.

The food here is amazing. Real quality produce and everything is cooked to perfection. You can tell the chef is really passionate and good food. The service is great too, always really friendly and polite. It has a good selection of beers and the pub itself is nice and relaxing. I had the steak and ale pie today followed by sticky toffee pudding. It really was top tier

Go early for the best choices, we arrived at 6ish and still had plenty of choices... This an amazing little shop. And they laughed at my joke (I told my son not to knock on the glass or he would scare the cakes) - anyone who can still have a sense of humour after a busy day must be doing something very right.

Fabulosa panadería continental dentro del mercado de Leeds Kirkgate. Siempre me detengo aquí para deliciosos pasteles y pan estilo polaco. Buenas ofertas en precios, siempre ocupado con la cola de ppl para golosinas.

First time going for a roast dinner and couldn’t have been more impressed. Best roast in Guiseley along with a cracking playlist (muse, queens of the Stone Age, killers) kids menu spot on. Soup & starter of garlic mushrooms with a poached egg 🔥 None of your microwave rubbish (a roast you look forward to seeing arrive at your table) Will be back again

Esta fue nuestra tercera visita a Sous le Nez. De nuevo, esto fue increíble. Elegimos del Menu du Soir. Qué valor tan increíble. La comida es realmente fabulosa. El servicio es realmente fabuloso. El ambiente es realmente fabuloso. El personal es realmente fabuloso. ADIVINA QUÉ. ESTA ES UNA PEQUEÑA JOYA REALMENTE FABULOSA EN EL CORAZÓN DE LEEDS. ¡Me encantó!

A mi hijo de 8 años le gustó el servicio, fue muy rápido y el personal era amable. Su crepé era Ultimate Nutella y fue increíble! ¡No pudo terminarlo porque era muy dulce! Tuve unos huevos salados florentinos y estuvo delicioso 😋

Been twice this am, now 8 am and its still shut ! This has been happening over the last mnth or so, they seem to keep their own hours , opening when its convenient for them. Very disappointed, a shame because their patisserie and sourdoughs are fantastic.
