Fine dining in chester, fab surroundings in a glorious building . Food was excellent and your staff know what they are serving,giving recommendations when asked. They gave excellent advice on wine selection, standing by their advice with a guarantee to change it should it not be a pleasure. In my top 3 for chester. Our visit was a pleasure.

We went here as we had Tesco vouchers which I think a lot of people had and this may explain the prices for the food you get. You had to pick off the a la carte menu, I had Beef Bourguignon for £18.35 which contained two pieces of beef and a large amount of beefy mushrooms on a bed of mash. It looked very meaty but only two pieces. The King Prawn starter was nice at nearly ten pounds. There was quite a wait to be served as there seemed to be a changeover from the breakfast to the lunch sitting and someone from the kitchen staff ended up running out with the starters. If I did not have the Tesco vouchers I would not have been very happy at the prices charged, but the restraunt is still getting those full prices for the vouchers used I presume. The thing is you would never visit again based on the price for the mushroom Bourguignon and also the Cesar salad which was about £14 and you had to pay extra for chicken.

Mi compañero vomitó durante la noche después de la cena. Tenía langosta y dejé la mitad en el plato. La langosta más no deliciosa que he comido. También estaban echando el vino a través de este dispositivo que estaba rociando el interior de los vasos y ensuciándolos antes de que pudieras siquiera sorber. Muy molesto. Y todo esto por una factura ridícula de £ 940 y solo teníamos 2 platos más desierto. Damas y caballeros: si quieren degustar un menú de 3 estrellas Michelin y un ambiente adecuado, reserve Le Cinq en George V Paris, y definitivamente no la sobrevalorada Helene Darroze. Ahórrate la decepción.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience in this lovely restaurant, food was excellent & staff very attentive, husband & I both enjoyed our fillet steaks & rhubarb Bakewell tart was to die for, cannot wait to go back

To start with we had to ask to order drinks 15 minutes after being seated, the drinks took a further 20 minutes to arrive, this was the theme of the evening, Service was very slow. The food was at the standard expected, not Wow, but good. This is the 2nd time we have visited for a special occasion, many years apart and both have been not up to the hype / expectation.

Absolutely incredible food and amazing service - came here for my best friends birthday lunch on 04/09 and we were obsessed with the quality of the food, especially at the price point!

As locals we visited recently and have to say we were disappointed. The portion sizes are smaller than previous visits and my fish was uncooked and cold. Such a shame. We did mention it at the time and we were offered another meal or a dessert on the house (which I accepted) however, as my son was paying for the meal as a birthday treat I didn’t want to make a fuss. The food is very expensive however the drink prices are extortionate. £2:50 for a dash of coke. Come on! The service is excellent as per usual. I’m hoping this was a ‘one off’ & will visit again but there are other excellent fish restaurants in Weymouth that offer excellent quality too.

Bit of retail therapy followed by lunch at Rouge. We enjoyed a glass of wine while waiting for our meal, had the two course menu. The chicken was fine, if a little tough and apple tart and ice cream delicious. I wish I’d asked the name of the waitress as she was charming, made us smile every time she spoke to us. We didn’t wait long for our food and will certainly come again in our next shopping trip.

I recently visited Côte and had the pleasure of enjoying a delicious English breakfast. The food was perfectly prepared, with each element cooked to perfection, from the crispy bacon to the creamy scrambled eggs. We went for the three-course lunch menu on a busy Saturday. Staff were super friendly and attentive. Our dishes were beautifully presented and very well cooked. They catered to our needs as I am pregnant. Overall pleased with the experience and would recommend to visit. Favourite dish were for the both of us the Beef with honey carrots.
