We went to Soirée Gastronomique at Leamington. The food was excellent, well presented and tasty. Service was attentive and friendly. Altogether a good evening out and highly recommended.

I was one of a large group of people and our lunch was made even more enjoyable by the competent, efficient, and friendly staff. The atmosphere was relaxed and the food was superb. Our waitress , Olivia, was completely unflappable and superb at her job. I will definitely go again - probably for our next reunion (as I live 150 miles away).

Good for people who like cold slop. Ignored for 30 minutes by staff. No one asked if our food was ok...WHICH IT WAS NOT. I would not waste your time or money.

We, a group of 15, recently attended the restaurant where we were tended to by Vijay and his lovely staff. Everything from the food, the attentive care of the staff and atmosphere were all excellent. Would highly recommend and will certainly be back in the future.

I ordered the salmon and smoked cod fishcake for mains then winter berry tart for dessert. Customer service was very polite, welcoming. we were treated as valued customers. Our food was cooked to perfection. The Winter berry tart was the best dessert I have ever tasted and would strongly recommend it. Service was fast. I have lactose intolerance, staff were knowledgeable and accommodated my dietary needs.

We came here for a family Christmas Dinner on Christmas Day and it was a superb experience. The manager Vijay and his staff could not have made us more welcome or made our Christmas Day more special. He even knelt on the floor to speak to my elderly disabled father to ensure that he had eye contact with him. A lovely experience with beautiful food and excellent staff.

We had a fantastic experience with Vijay serving us for a family birthday meal. There was 18 of us so a lot of pre planning and prep was required which they executed perfectly. Everything was hot and exactly as we wanted. Thanks for having us!

For the first time ever we went out for our Christmas Day dinner. We were very pleasantly surprised. There was plenty of choice on the menu, not just turkey! I had a main of duck breast with cherries (fresh) which came with hasselback potatoes, celeriac puree and nice crispy greens. The duck was cooked pink, as I had requested. My partner had fillet steak with truffle sauce, spinach and dauphinois potatoes (no extra charge for steak) and was very much to his taste, medium rare as ordered. We both had a delicious chicken liver parfait to start, served with apricot chutney. For dessert I chose an apple and raisin strudel which was a little disappointing as it was too heavy on the filo pastry. The filling was lovely, though, very boozy! My partner had the profiteroles, very good. Other peoples meals looked good too, even the turkey. The atmosphere was really nice, it was busy but not too noisy, well-behaved people. Very few children. There were plenty of serving staff who were very friendly and efficient. After we arrived the plate of breads took quite a while to come but from then on the service was excellent with the right sort of gap between courses. All the portions were fairly substantial but not over the top. The meal cost £85 which I don't think is too bad for Christmas Day, we would consider going again (particlularly as it's walking distance from home!)

Dan, our waiter, was one of the most pleasant, conscientious and friendly waiters we have experienced in a while, nothing was too much trouble and he helped our evening go very smoothly. Keep up the good work Dan.

The standard of food and service is excellent. Unhurried with a wide ranging menu to suit all tastes and with a distinctive French bias as expected. Well.looked after by Dan.

Our visit started well…. we were walk ins and spent a seat and served quickly. we ordered and the staters came quickly and were lovely. We waited for our mains and they were good. no check backs or offers of more drinks. We waited over 40 mins after we finished our mains before we went to the bar to ask for pudding menus, we were given dessert menus and had our mains then cleared but after another 10-15 mins no one had come back to take a pudding order. As we had the school run to factor in and 2 courses had now 2 hours, we lost confidence and went to the bar to pay and bought a pudding elsewhere in leamington on the way back to the car.

Food was delicious! Came on a Wednesday evening so wasn't busy, food came out quickly but tasted fresh. Dan was our server and was very nice and attentive!

Amazing Food and service. I had a Very Good calamari, Duck with Oranges and Cointreu was Succulent and amazing in flavour. And the Cheese cake really was the best i have tasted in a long time. Nice and busy but service was smooth and organised.

Restaurant was a little quiet when we went so lacked a little bit on atmosphere. However, food was good and service suitably attentive and didn't rush us, even when one of the last tables to leave.

We popped in here on Saturday lunchtime, hadn't booked a table and just wanted a lovely light bite. We were not disappointed! Dan welcomed us with a friendly smile and offered us a choice of three tables. We sat in the window in a light airy section of the restaurant. We drank ice-cold tap water, feeling no pressure to order a soft drink or an alcoholic drink. I ordered the Fishcake Nicoise which was delicious - buttered new potatoes, French beans, black olives, red peppers, plum tomatoes, gem lettuce & soft poached egg with a sherry and tomato vinaigrette- beautifully balanced and also presented well. My partner ordered Honey Glazed Pork Medallions consisting of Morteau sausage, caramelised Granny Smith apples, crispy onions, Dijon beurre blanc, dauphinoise potatoes and French beans and found this to be a great combination. We finished both meals, feeling satisfied and relaxed in a friendly ambience. The total bill was £33.50 so excellent value for money. We would highly recommend Bistrot Pierre for a change from coffee and a sandwich to break up a shopping trip. We will definitely be returning soon and think our next visit will be a 'soiree gastronomique', a six course menu for £26.95 per person. Thank you !

Very French bistro in its feel - but that was no surprise! Philippe was attentive as a waiter / maître d', charming but not intrusive. A good venue for meeting friends to chat. Not noisy but had a bit of a buzz as place to enjoy.

Our favourite restaurant in Leamington. We go about once per month. All the staff are welcoming but Philippe is especially helpful and friendly.

We had a wonderful family dinner. It was perfect for an important family meal. Philippe’s service was expert; he engaged the younger members of the party and everything was perfectly timed and he liaised with the kitchen to make sure everything was top notch, including things made especially for us. My daughter said: It was the best! Philippe was a credit to the restaurant.

We visited over Easter on Bank Holiday Monday, and the restaurant was busy but not full. We were greeted by Phillipe, who was just a joy to have as our waiter. He was attentive, friendly and had a lovely sense of humour. Food was hot, fresh and tasty. We ordered some food off the set menu and other dishes from the main menu. We stumbled across bistrot Pierre and were really pleasantly suprised. The staff were friendly and attentive, and handled a member of our party’s dietary requirements really well. The food was lovely and fresh, and we enjoyed the set menu. Special mention to Philippe, he did a great job and made it a lovely experience. Gill and I, regulars of the well priced three course meals, were told by a friend to try a Sunday Lunch. It did not disappoint. Fantastic tasty beef, really carotty carrots, fluffy Yorkshire and potatoes, perfect horseradish and velvety red wine gravy on tap. All finished off with yummy puddings, great choice. We will definitely be back.

Leamington has so much choice of eating places but if you don't often eat out you want to be confident of a good experience and over many years BP has given good service, an interesting and changing menu without being pretentious and provided pleasant surroundings. Philippe and co provided the same today. My daughter and I took the 3 course option which came without waiting despite it being fairly busy.

Very disappointing first (and last) visit. After a long wait for the food, my fishcake nicoise was topped with a hard poached egg. The the potatoes were also hard and it all looked very unappetising. My husband's burger was also very average and overcooked.

Service was pleasant - but clearly not anyone's full-time job (assume casual labour) and our table as forgotten between courses being served, making ordering drinks a chore. (I want to be looked after if I am paying over £200 for a table of 6). This is the bit that sets The Ivy Brasserie's / similar apart from the more average mundane imitators. Food all in all ok - however, was served the smallest portion of daupinoise I've ever seen with my steak - ( like 1 1/2 inches wide!). Any smaller and they wouldn't have been able to cut it! We ate here from the fixed priced menu before the theatre. Very pleasant , mine and husband s two courses very tasty and good value. Although we weren’t sure about going due to previous reviews we had read regarding I can only speak as I find . Booked on a Saturday night, when we arrived they had no booking and despite us showing them the text message from them confirming our booking they were hardly hospitable, saying they could probably squeeze us in. Menus were given and drinks ordered which came quickly, food was ordered and arrived without any words or anything from the waitress, just dumped on the table and she was gone before we could ask for vinegar or mustard, this took another 5 minutes to get someone’s attention and get it to our table and we had the same when we wanted to order another drink. We both got the impression that the staff would much prefer it if there were t any customers in the place. My wife had the house special of Beef Bourgignon and said the meat was really chewy which was a shame from a signature dish. Wouldn’t hurry back.

I rang to book a table. Only to hear a male having a rant at someone about bread. He didn’t announce/confirm who he was. When I asked for a table he just said ‘fully booked’ and put the phone down. However,my daughter booked online 2 minutes later.Said man was shouting across the restaurant, several times, at staff members. In actual fact we found him to be very abrupt, rude to the point he wasn’t actually listening to our drink order whatsoever. Food was a very,very long wait and the tension from staff was palpable.When my daughter asked where the rest of her food was the waitress shrugged and said ‘I’m new’, then walked off! Son in laws meal was incorrect (completely) twice. Eventually came,but we were halfway through ours.We arrived for our table at 8.15, by 9.15 we were being heckled to order any more drinks from the bar as it was closing. We’d ordered another bottle of wine,which took well over 20 minutes to arrive.Then another staff member stood with his watch,telling us we had 10/15 minutes! This was supposed to be a relaxing (as we’ve had previously-different staff) birthday meal for my son in law.We were all literally made to feel so rushed,it was ridiculous. Staff constantly hurrying us up. PHILLIPE your management skills are bordering on bullying. There was nothing you couldn’t have said to the staff in closer proximity,or with a kinder attitude. You were stretched and told us twice you were very busy. Customers don’t want to know, or be made to feel they’re a nuisance. Harassed people make mistakes. I’ve worked at a high level , as has my daughter. We were all appalled by the manner in which you conducted yourself. We left the restaurant just after 9.30, having spent well over £100… in future, I will definitely check your staffing, before booking. Or we shall return to the Coventry branch we’re we’ve often been. They have a lovely atmosphere there,something you should try to replicate. Food was average. PS the halloumi in my burger was cold. But I was so cross by this point, I just ate it. Remember good news travels fast,bad news travels even faster….

Confirmed Reservation for 6 Sep at 7pm , Confirmed with 3 emails , 2 txt message reminders and a phone call . When we arrived was told by female greeter , no reservation in system for us and no tables available . Despite the place being very empty inside and out , I show the lady my confirmation but was un interested an told she may have a table in 15 mins , No apology offered We returned , server was clearly unhappy with the extra work and showed it Food was really good but staff awful , will never return here

After a lovely first visit, we decided to take the family for dinner, and boy, they didn't disappoint. Flory remembered us upon arrival, and even after she finished her shift, Erica made sure our evening ended nicely.
