Cote Brasserie - Leamington Spa in Warwick

This was the first time visiting the Leamington Spa branch having visited other branches in the past. Based on this we were expecting the usual good, reliable, value-for-money fare that we had enjoyed before. The main difference this time was the attentiveness of the staff especially from Duncan the manager who was able to advise my wife on her particular food allergy and dietary requirements. The food that the four of us enjoyed was exceptional and represented excellent value for money.

Adam was our waiter and was very tentative. He made sure we were well looked after. Would highly recommend to friends and family! Thank you Adam :)

We visited Cote with friends for lunch today. One of them is vegetarian and has a severe fish allergy. Duncan the manager talked her through the menu and suggested dishes she may like. We never had such good advice and service in a restaurant. The food was very good and the service fantastic. We will definitely visit again.

Came for lunch on a Saturday and it was busy with not enough staff. No one came to take our order so had to go up and find a server each time to order drinks or food. Waited ages for a simple cold starter, only for it to arrive with the mains! Thankfully the manager resolved it with grace, and food was delicious when it did eventually arrive but it doesnt take a genius to serve the starters before the mains? Perhaps more training needed with staff or note to HQ - employ more staff!

We had a booking elsewhere. But the place was a shambles and was stuggling to honour its reservations, leaving loads of hungry customers hanging around in the bar for ages. So we left and instead strolled into Cote in Leamington. And immediately things looked up. Despite a busy room, we were served instantly, with warmth and a welcoming attitude. The vibe was delightful, nicely lit, space between tables to give privacy, and a buzz from diners clearly enjoying themselves. There was good banter between the staff, too, who worked very well together and looked like a contented crew, which is always a good sign. An extensive and tempting menu did not disappoint. The food was delicious, and very well presented. The various accompanying sauces lifted the dishes very well. The wine, too, was lovely and there was an impressive selection. What started badly turned into a lovely evening, thanks to the team in Cote. We will return.

I am very unhappy with the service I have received on my last two visits to your restaurant in Leamington Spa. On your website it states that leaving a tip is at the Customer’s secretion. On both occasions the tip has been added automatically. Today I asked for it to be removed…the service was terrible. It took almost 50mins for us to receive out first course, water had be requested twice and we got two small carafes between 10 of us. The waitress looked extremely unhappy when we asked for more. One of our table then had to wait at least 20 mins for her main course, and that was only after prompting from ourselves. No one asked if we’d like the table cleared after the first course. When I asked for the tip to be removed the waitress demanded to know why, and demanded to know what was wrong with the service, then blamed me because I should have asked for the plates to be cleared..I would have if I’d been able to get anyone’s attention!

My experience at Cote Brasserie was wonderful. The warm, welcoming atmosphere immediately set the tone for a relaxing meal. The staff were attentive and provided excellent recommendations from the menu. I particularly enjoyed the Pan-Fried Salmon Béarnaise , Tenderstem Broccoli which was cooked to perfection. Especially with the desserts being the highlight of the evening. The Paris Brest was simply divine, with its delicate choux pastry and rich praline cream. A special mention goes to the velvety dark chocolate mousse—it was indulgent, smooth, and had just the right balance of sweetness. Both desserts left a lasting impression, making the meal truly unforgettable. The overall ambiance, combined with great service and delicious food, made the visit truly enjoyable. I’m already looking forward to coming back.

It was a delightful visit with my partner. We were looked after well, everyone was really smiley and chatty with us. We had a great time during our meal. Great value for the money. We will definetely visit again.

An interesting experience - nice atmosphere, good for conversation as the tables are reasonable distance apart. The menu is a tad curious - there is a à la carte component of curious options and a fixed price page which contains items which are not available elsewhere on the pages. Opted for the fixed price/3 courses at £21.95 Whitebait/Steak Frites/Cheese board - all excellent and good value. The service is first class, friendly, helpful and unobtrusive - perfect. One point I would draw a potential diner's attention is the price of the drinks as an example a pint of draught Kronenbourg beer £7.85.

We stopped here to break a 4 hour drive and grab a quick bite. It was our first visit to the town and we chose the perfect place to have our dinner. It's a great spot with excellent service, good food and very well decorated. Loved jt

A lovely meal at Cote Leamington Spa. The Fish Parmentier was delicious as was the Spinach Au Gratin side. You always know the quality at Cote will be excellent.

Went for my husbands 50th birthday & all staff were wonderful, friendly & couldn't do enough for us. There were 11 of us & all food orders were correct, food was hot, tasty & good portion sizes. Manager gave us 2 complimentary bottles of fizz. Honestly can't recommend or thank them enough. Will definitely be going back.

Table was booked for very early evening and I was very glad I did so as by 7pm, the restaurant was very busy! The baked camembert was perfectly cooked with a gorgeous gooey cheesey centre. The starters were also just as divine. The steak was cooked to perfection. The moules frites were delicious. Service was excellent, though patrons who arrived later did not fare so well and seemed to have to wait longer for service due to how busy it suddenly became. Reservations recommended. Would definitely revisit as though expensive, definitely worth every penny.

The Cassoulet dish should be named saussage and beans...very poor and overpriced to say the least..the second main dish was short of items which were advertised on the menu..whrn this was rectified a half of guacamole portion appeared on the plate..??? Not going to eat there again..

I had the best birthday meal at côte today. The team made it so special for me and the food was delicious. Attentive and friendly service, tasty food and a lovely atmosphere. We all had a really great meal and couldn’t fault anything.

Visited with friends Thursday evening. We had booked earlier and were welcomed by Duncan. It was quiet in there, he was a very friendly and professional server and made us very welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. His shift ended before we finished, he did pop over to say goodnight which I thought was a nice touch. Elliot took over, another great server, friendly and helpful. Although it was a quiet evening in there, we didn’t feel rushed and had a good meal, with our friends. Burgers were really tasty, as was garlic bread starter, chicken dish did look a bit bland on the plate- we paid extra for a side salad to add a bit more colour. I wanted to pass thanks on to staff, as so many places now, have waiting staff that just look bored and are obviously waiting to go home, not the case last night so thank you both, it does make a real difference, obviously a well managed and professional team.

Best place with very friendly stuff.

I had given a 5 star review couple of years back. We came here after a while and overall experience was good. The food serving size has substantially reduced. I ordered Salmon and my wife ordered the Tuna. Best was the customer service by both the waiting staff. I will give them 10 /10 for their customer service.

Took my daughter and her friend for a birthday meal. My daughter was given a birthday card and a glass of prosecco, which was a lovely touch. The service was excellent, we were looked after very well with a friendly and helpful member of staff. We were late arrivals (table booked for 9pm), but this did not impact on the service or the food. The food arrived promptly and was nicely presented. We had drinks and sharing breads and olives to begin with. Starters were Calamari, that my daughter and her friend said were excellent and I had the chicken liver parfait which was very good indeed. Mains were a burger, a chicken salad and a steak. I asked for steak to be medium rare and it arrived medium rare and had great flavour. The frites were excellent, as was the peppercorn sauce. The girls enjoyed their mains as well, so top marks all round. A lovely evening, thank you. Sorry, there were no photos this time, I was too busy eating! 😊

Tasty food but very expensive and overpriced. Drinks especially expensive. Great location and good steak but expected more and better for the price.

Received a hand written card for my graduation which was so thoughtful. Food was delicious as always, steak cooked perfectly. The staff were attentive and very kind. Overall, a wonderful experience and excellent value for money.

Got there just before lunch menu so had to have breakfast very poor everything hard and over cooked except for the scrambled egg but I know we ate late I usually really enjoy the food I eat there I don't like giving a 2 for food but it was poor . Staff brilliant as usual

Great staff, sat outside it felt very cosmopolitan, moules frites were very good, a lot of juicy plump mussels in a creamy sauce Vegetarian Ratatouille was very good, like I would make it at home! Which is a compliment!

A lovely restaurant serving very good food at reasonable prices. We have been quite a few times now and they never disappoint. We'll be back!

Hit 'n miss. Had some wonderful meals here and others were a little meh. Staff on the whole are friendly and welcoming.

My wife is Coeliac so we always need seek out the best and safest places to eat Gluten Free. We had visited this restaurant in the past so knew it had an excellent GF menu and the food was good without being remarkable. My opinion is that the food is overpriced and for 3 of us with one drink each and no dessert came to £120 We had a pleasant evening but it is a place we will not return to too often because of the steep prices.

Alina and team looked after us very well when we visited for breakfast. The food was delivered speedily and was delicious. I would recommend the french toast with berries! Thank you.

On a weekend break and chose this great restaurant to eat at from other online reviews and we weren't disappointed. Lovely setting, great menu choices and really friendly staff. Enjoyed it so much we went back on our second evening.

We popped in for dinner to celebrate our late grandmothers life, as it was a family favourite, we decided to go to the Cote Leamington. We were seated (by a lovely bald gent- I didn't get his name) and drinks orders were taken. We ordered our food and sat reminiscing about our late grandmother, and how much she enjoyed the food here. I ordered her favourite which was a fish parmienter and it was delicious. We finished with desserts, also amazing. The sour taste that was left in our mouth was when we came to pay! We paid the bill and remained at our table whilst we finished our drinks. 5 minutes had passed and all of a sudden one one the staff members (A gentleman with a beard) came marching over demanding an extra £85 from us. He claimed that he had charged us for the wrong table and after taking a look at the receipt, it became apparent he had. After I had worked out the difference between our tab and the one we had paid, considering he was hesitant to bring over our actual bill, it was apparent that we only owed £40. I'm not sure how he worked out the £85, maybe he was after a hefty tip after a quiet night. I was very disappointed about how he handled it, it was as if I hadn't compared the two bills, I would have believed him and paid the £85. Very disappointing as it was supposed to be a very heart felt and family oriented evening. We won't be visiting again as they can't be trusted to look after people's tabs. Other than that let down, the food was lovely its just such a shame about our end of meal service.

Staff were friendly and attentive without being over the top. Food was really good and the dessert (Tarte tatin) was top notch. They also made a fuss of my mum who's birthday it was. Will definitely be back.

The food was acceptable but very over priced for what I had. The camembert souffle was ok but couldn't taste any camembert followed by a fish pie that was very mediocre, Marks and Sparks is way better for less than half the cost, and it came with no veg whatsoever. I didn't bother with dessert! Staff were friendly but presented me with a bill after my starter so I had to explain I had ordered a main. All in all I have to say I very much doubt I'll return, a shame because the menu seemed good. Never judge a restaurant by its menu!

I was staying in Leamington Spa and after a very long day at work was hungry and exhausted. I decided to shun the independent restaurants because I just wanted to eat something I could be confident would be "nice" so seeing Cote decided it was a "no brainer". I ordered a Maison Salade (because Cote have decided to meddle with a ceasar salad). I couldn't have been more disappointed. I have seen more "chicken" in 1/4 of a chicken sandwich from M&S. It was a joke. I paid and left - not having the bandwidth to do anything else. I witnessed 2 other diners make complaint about their meals and the manager replaced them - he was gracious in doing so. Maybe it was a bad day - we all have them- but I won't be back.

Fantastic experience. I had amazing service from Adam yesterday who really went above and beyond for us. I had the Breton fish stew which was incredible and would highly recommend! Will definitely be returning. Thanks *****

I love this restaurant and the friendly staff - great service. Unfortunately, I found a facial hair (beard or moustache) in my crab maison which put me off eating.

Always had a good experience and decent food, however, today was dreadful. Not acceptable to have to wait nearly an hour for a coffee (never mind the food which they realised they’d got wrong when they got to our table). We left at that point and found somewhere else in Leamington to get a late brunch so can’t comment too much on the food albeit the one item out of 4 they got correct felt scrambled together. Can only assume the good weather caught them out and they didn’t have enough people working - definite watch out but either way highly unlikely we will go back.

Really Disappointing meal at Cote for my mother in laws birthday. The whole evening felt rushed with many little points being left unattended such as, no water being served within 15 minutes of asking or at all until main courses arrived,no explanation of the menu, asking whether we’re ready to order food within 5 minutes of sitting down, food arriving before cutlery has been laid out! Pet Hates have to include serving a cold beer with a hot glass out of the dishwasher and ice cream In hot bowl… 🤷‍♂️ Rather pour for what is normal a great place, for context it’s a Wednesday night, 40% full at 7:30pm - really wouldn’t recommend

The food was excellent, portions not too large but very well prepared and cooked. I had onion soup, a fish pie and creme brulee. Service was prompt and friendly. There was someone playing the trumpet very well but loudly so we asked to be moved from our original table. The music was atmospheric but it could have been a littlle quieter.

Took my wife and dad here for dinner recently. The food was absolutely exquisite. The cost was very reasonable for the quality of the meal and service.

Overall I liked it. I went in late and was the last customer. There were a few items unavailable in both the Prix fix and a la carte menus. The food was hot and tasty. A slight miscommunication resulting in my not getting the dessert I wanted because the waiter said the coffee machine was closed (at 9:50pm, when closing time is 10:30pm). After I had ordered a different dessert another waiter asked me if I wanted coffee 😆 The house red wine is really nice 👍🏻🙂

Lovely warm and cosy place for brunch, nice and quiet as it's so large and often not that full. Great food, it's a chain so not always so home cooked feeling, but very good flavours and options. They specialize in French toast so that's definitely worth a try, and the veggie breakfast was yummy, especially the garlic spinach and the crispy potatoes. A great place to relax and catch up with friends. You know it will be good!

Went for mother's day at the leamington branch, it was really busy but the service was really good and the waitresses were very friendly and attentive, amazing food, will definitely be back again.

Table booked for 1715 to give me and my sisters plenty of time to enjoy a meal with our disabled Dad before the theatre. We don't all get out together often, and we were looking forward to a restaurant meal together. Got there to find the place locked, with a sign on the door saying it was temporarily closed due to technical issues. Didn't tell us in advance. Not particularly impressed. Won't choose to eat there again.

Attended a team lunch at Cotes, The food was all great, lots of flavors and tasty. The ambience and service was good and attentive.

My recent experience at Cote Leamington Spa was nothing short of exceptional. My wife and I popped in to a sneaky minute steak and fries. Something quick and cheerful. The ambiance is pleasant , decor is great and quite interesting. Our food was spot on, the steak was perfect, vegetables spot on, and the fries were perfect. We had lunch and asked for the bill. And here is where we weee left with a bad taste. £5.55 for a glass of still water and a mandatory 10% service charge that was not discussed. So, we ended up paying £12 more than we had planned for the quick lunch. I summary, the quick lunch was spot on but spoiled by the additional costs we were not told about, so beware of the surprises. Not sure we will be returning, which is a shame.

Absolutely love this place, to be more specific, you can go to Cóte in other towns/cities, its not exclusive to leamington, but the staff here just make this restaurant, they are so welcoming, and friendly, there is no stuffiness, if you haven't booked it's no problem, if they are not packed out, then you can say where you'd like to sit (love that). And wow, the food and cocktails are fantastic, yet not over priced.

Came for an early lunch and felt lucky to get a table on a busy Saturday lunchtime. The service was excellent from well trained, friendly staff despite being busier than usual. The menu was extensive, offering lighter bites to main dishes. The food was high quality and portion size was great - will definitely be back.

Food was delicious. Atmosphere is unpretentious and friendly; we were welcomed in casual clothes. Had plenty of space to ourselves and were not sitting in our neighbors' laps. Servers were lovely. We were served quickly, but in no way felt rushed like they were trying to turn the table over. High-quality food in a warm, amicable setting.

I have already written feedback to you in a special application, but I would like to repeat it here, since your restaurant has sunk into my soul. So I was in the restaurant with my colleague, we had a lovely dinner with great food. We ourselves work in a French restaurant and really appreciated your quality of food, it is simply amazing, the portions are exactly the right size - no too much, not too little, and very tasty (we had 3 courses with Bread Board, Chicken Chasseur and some pancakes - sorry, not sure about names of dishes, but they’re perfect) 😃 I also want to mention the wonderful waiter Adam, he is from Poland and his English is amazing! Thanks to him for the good service and friendly attitude, he is very responsible and kind, a real gem ;-) Thanks to him again, such a wonderful person. Thanks to chefs for the wonderful dishes! Will definitely come back again.

As someone who loves French cuisine, I was very impressed with the extremely delicious food and fantastic service my partner and I received at this restaurant. We will definitely be dining here again next time we're in the area

We went for a late lunch on Wed 10th Jan. I had the Breton Fish Stew which was amazing. Full of mussels, squid, prawns and the most succulent piece of fish on top. Spicy and delicious. Friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommended 👌

I’m a regular here and love the food. However, the service could really do with some improvement. They have poor connection here, and today their WiFi didn’t work. This happens, however telling your client you can’t do anything and not even trying to fix the problem, is not acceptable for such a reputable place. They really let me down today as I cannot stay offline with my job. I had to eat my food asap and run outside, and got into trouble because of them. I hate leaving this review because I think the food is amazing. But they lost me as a client, because I cannot risk going completely off the radar again.

We have eaten at many a Cote restaurant but the one in Leamington Spa stands out largely due to the exemplary service. The food is always delicious and piping hot and the cocktail offers are a real draw, Elliot, is an outstanding waiter and we always try to get a seat at his station. He is well informed about the menu and makes great recommendations. Fabulous chain restaurant.

We were apprehensive as we had a dreadful experience on "Christmas Day" at another nearby eaterie (which I have reviewed). We need not have been concerned as this turned out to be amazing. The food was lovely the waiting.staff were fantastic. Everything was highly organised. Each guest had a two hour slot which is standard procedure I think. All in all it was a great experience. Thank you to Laura who was our main server and thank you to "Cote Leamington". We have been on several occasions since it opened.

The manager was very accommodating and found us a table after we arrived without a booking (we'd booked somewhere else but walked in and out very quickly for various reasons). We were seated quickly and highchair provided for our son without issue. The service was fantastic, very attentive and friendly and the food tasty and well presented. This was my second visit this month and both times, I have left having had a good meal and great service.

For a chain, it is actually very descent. The interior is nicely decorated , and the staff was attentive and polite. If you get the prix fixe at lunchtime, it is a real bargain. 3 courses for £20 ! The chocolate mousse was very good. I definitely recommend for a quick lunch in town.
