The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving French food

My grandparents were raving about this place and decided to bring me. The restaurant is small but run by a really friendly husband and wife team, which really makes the place lovely and a true local business. We all had entrecote and frites and I had a chocolate mousse for dessert. The steak was well cooked, and to the English standard, rather than the French standard, medium rare is truly medium rare. Having just returned from Skiing in France, this was very welcome. The chocolate mousse was a lovely way to cleanse the palate. I will definitely be brought here again.

Great food served in a lovely relaxed atmosphere- nice selection of menu options. It was the best steak that we have had in a very long time. Highly recommended

Fuimos recibidos por el propietario que, con sus amigos y familiares dirigen el servicio. Fue cálido, acogedor, amable, amable y atento... como entrar en su casa. Durante toda la comida el servicio fue rápido, eficiente, profesional, discreto pero muy amable y divertido. El dueño (también experto en vinos) preparó nuestro vino para la comida... fue increíble... había un plato de vieiras que cuando se comió con el vino cambió completamente a este sabor de deleite en mi boca. La comida estaba inmaculada. Técnicas francesas enrutadas que fueron ejecutadas y demostradas a la perfección. Me quedé impresionado por la calidad de la preparación de la comida y he estado ansiando más de la comida del chef George desde entonces. Gracias al equipo de Noize por tanta delicia y exquisita hospitalidad.

We loved this place, from the personalised menu, the amazing food and service and great experience of being able to watch all the dishes being made. It was such a unique night!

Highly recommend. The food was delicious and the staff were super friendly and attentive. Everything was so fresh and tasty. I shall return as the meal was excellent value.

What a find! A fantastic meal and such good value for money. This place is amazing and we will be coming back! The nibbles were to die for and the service was amazing. Really intimate venue with only a few tables so you really get top quality service and they are so personable! The portions were so generous and the food was absolutely delicious. Left absolutely STUFFED! Can’t recommend enough.

Firstly the cocktails where great in a cosy bar. Staff fabulous and watching the kitchen was ia bonus Main restaurant lovely and light - we felt totally at ease great decor and atmosphere love all the details on the table - they even gave us an anniversary card from a local artist that works as part of the team - lovely touch Amazing degustation menu. Each course was great, however one small issue was that the short ribs where a little tough. Wine pairing and explantion was very educational and went hand in hand, perfectly Scallops, bread, fish course, desserts were ace still a great experience

We visited the Hidden Chef last night as we wanted to enjoy the experience one last time, and to support Dean and Co in their last weekend at the Brasserie. Once again the food was exceptional and the atmosphere friendly and welcome. We will miss having this wonderful restaurant on our door step but are delighted that we will be able to savour Deans delights from the Deli. More than a novelty.. Somewhere to ovsit take in the view and warm up! These experiences make travel what it should be. Random food like French biscuits and cassoulet!

Sloppy ice cream bought 2 cones one mint chocolate chip one chocolate both were so sloppy they melted before I could get to the beach. Not the first time I thought the first time was just a one off Need to turn the temp down on the freezer. Nottised a lot of other people with all theirs dripping down everywhere What a waste of money Ge t the whippy its more solid that's if the machine is working!!!

We visited with friends and can honestly say the whole experience was phenomenal. The service is exceptional and the food was out of this world. They were so accommodating when I asked for my dish to be slightly different to the menu. An absolute gem and well worth the money.

Been here several times before and have always had a great time. Went for dinner there last night and the food was amazing. Had the best Moussaka ever. Great service

1890's Beautiful surroundings with very welcoming staff set the scene for a fabulous lunch of delicious & superbly presented food accompanied by great wine pairing & service. Looked after extremely well, thank you to the whole team for such a wonderful experience. If you get the opportunity you must go.

Popped in today for lunch. Not knowing Creiff we were not sure where to choose, but the temporary traffic lights stopped us in front of here, and the deal was done. Lovely bright room cosy atmosphere and superb food. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Would definitely return if back in the area.

Exceptional. We hired Paul from the Petite Chouette to cater for a full weekend for a family get together, including a 4 course private dining experience on the Saturday evening. The food was fabulous and Paul was a delight. He offered a selection of menu option as requested and catered for our culinary needs. The highlight was the private dining experience which also included wine pairings. Paul was knowledgeable and happy to answer all our questions. The food was amazing. We will definitely use the Petite Chouette again and after tasting the exceptional wine and cheese, I will be ordering a monthly subscription box.
