The best restaurants in United Kingdom serving French food

Been here several times before and have always had a great time. Went for dinner there last night and the food was amazing. Had the best Moussaka ever. Great service

Exceptional. We hired Paul from the Petite Chouette to cater for a full weekend for a family get together, including a 4 course private dining experience on the Saturday evening. The food was fabulous and Paul was a delight. He offered a selection of menu option as requested and catered for our culinary needs. The highlight was the private dining experience which also included wine pairings. Paul was knowledgeable and happy to answer all our questions. The food was amazing. We will definitely use the Petite Chouette again and after tasting the exceptional wine and cheese, I will be ordering a monthly subscription box.

We went for a meal with friends who had eaten here several times previously and rated it highly. The menu is quite small and no vegetarian options shown, although when asked there were two options available, veggie curry and cauliflower steak unfortunately neither of which appealed to me personally. I opted for the potato skins starter as a mains instead which was quite tasty but nothing I could wholeheartedly recommend. My meat eating companions chose off the chalkboard menu but were all left feeling slightly underwhelmed, cassoulet, gammon and chicken, none of which they raved about, in fact they were disappointed too as it wasn’t up to previous standards. The concept behind the pub was apparently to recapture the original Victorian feel but it just looked as if it badly needed updating. Staff were very helpful and friendly but without great food I couldn’t rate it any higher.

That was the most amazing breakfast this morning....didn't eat another thing until 7pm this evening! Thank you so much...the beans were sensational! Can't rate this place highly enough! So sorry I live so far away and can't visit all the time!

This little restaurant is an absolute gem. The food is delicious and the French ambiance is wonderful. Ilona is so welcoming and attentive to her guests.

We had an incredible incredible experience at Rubicon Kitchen! The "tide to table" concept really emphasizes the quality and freshness of the seafood, which is nothing short of incredible. The chef owner Olly and hes staff are very friendly and attentive and we cannot wait to go back very soon.

Tuve una gran experiencia aquí hoy. Como celíaca puede ser complicado encontrar un buen bocado espontáneo para comer, pero Paula me puso justo a gusto y fue más allá para correr a través del gluten - opciones gratis y el resultado no decepcionó - tuve un delicioso gluten - desayuno gratis y café encantador. Had their full breakfast which is the usual one of each (2 bacon) with a drink and toast. The portion sizes were acceptable but not generous, and it was padded out with too many diced potato pieces, as well as being slightly overcooked/overheated. However their Breakfast was certainly okay, and the accompanying choice of Tea was really good, and made over two full cups. On the downside the cost of £9 was expensive for what was served, especially in comparison to many similar venues. It was clean inside and the service prompt and efficient. Unfortunately it was also too chilly in there and needed to be much warmer to be comfortable.

All things considered (including the price), this is, pound for pound, one of the best restaurants in London and it is nothing less than a tragedy that it is shortly going to close. I feel very bad (particularly now) that I have not previously left a review. We have been there many times (including with groups who had never visited before) and the feedback has been ubiquitously (and rightly) glowing. The food is sensational (and significantly better than in a lot of "fancier" places that would charge at least twice as much) and Jonathan is an extraordinarily welcoming and charming host who enhances everyone's experience. They were very unlucky with COVID and historically this location has been difficult for restaurants. The restaurant has often not seemed as busy as it ought to be (given how good it is) and I can completely understand their decision. But Chelsea is about to lose an absolute jewel.

We want to thank you all for being part of Sailingdinner Cruises David an I have loved every minute of our time with you all and we will miss you but thank you for some wonderful times an allowing us to be a part of making wonderful memories ... Love to visit this cafe when I’m in the area visiting my family. Great food and drink at very reasonable prices in a relaxed atmosphere and lovely staff who always make a fuss of my grandaughter. A real community gem.

Phoned up last minute for a burger & cake. Station bistro did not disappoint 🤤 I got a chicken burger with halloumi, bacon with slaw & maple syrup with sesame seeds for on my burger. The bun was toasted just the right amount, chicken was cooked too perfection.. Bacon was just the right amount of crisp and the halloumi was also fab (usually halloumi can be a hit or miss and quite rubbery anywhere else) but I would highly recommend getting it on your burger. I have a very sweet tooth and the biscoff brownie hit the spot. The staff are so lovely aswell. Will 110% be back ❤️
