Exceptional. We hired Paul from the Petite Chouette to cater for a full weekend for a family get together, including a 4 course private dining experience on the Saturday evening. The food was fabulous and Paul was a delight. He offered a selection of menu option as requested and catered for our culinary needs. The highlight was the private dining experience which also included wine pairings. Paul was knowledgeable and happy to answer all our questions. The food was amazing. We will definitely use the Petite Chouette again and after tasting the exceptional wine and cheese, I will be ordering a monthly subscription box.

I was lucky enough to visit with a group of an evening and had a set menu. The food was delicious and the owners were great hosts who were clearly knowledgable and passionate about the food they were serving as well. I don’t drink alcohol but got the impression that the drinks menu was well curated. This teeny tiny jewel on Regent St offers something different, which is always welcomed in Hinckley and I will definitely be returning to sample more of the delights of this local, independent business. Bonne chance with your venture-you deserve every success.

I went on a foodie meet here. Food was delicious, french cheeses selected to perfection, chicken main was out of this world and lemon desert to finish. Coffee was nice there too. It was a bit of a squeeze for 17 of us but the owners were more than accommodating and by the time I left I felt like I'd been sitting quaffing wine at a jeet in France with them rather than Hinckley! Cant wait till my next visit as I will be back!! Asta la vista.

I wanted to try somewhere new for an overdue night out with a friend and saw a number of bistro nights advertised for Petite Chouette so thought we’d try it out. The cafe is lovely, the owners Ali and Paul are so, so welcoming and friendly and the food was delicious! The dessert was one of the nicest I’ve ever had! Perfect atmosphere, will definitely be a regular visitor from now on! Thank you Ali and Paul for a fantastic evening xx

Lovely inside although the bus stop just outside the window is not the greatest view. The menu was quite limited and on the pricier side with not many specials. The food was ok although I think it could try to be more French authentic, perhaps bread (baguette) should be served with food like in France? Drinks were lovely and very nice cakes too

This is how eating out should be! Great food, lovely atmosphere, great hospitality with a personal experience. We were made to feel really special. About as far removed from the identikit chains as you can imagine. A really straightforward product done well and with care and attention. Cannot wait to battle with everyone else for a table at the next available evening.

Having visited France several times over the years , i have a soft spot for french food and the french way of life. They always welcome me and my dog is always welcome too, fabulous place to relax, chat and indulge in fine food and wine.

My husband and I popped in to Petite Chouette for a light lunch during a rare visit to Hinckley and we weren't disappointed. The cafe is immaculate and beautifully furnished. The food was absolutely beautiful. All freshly made to order and looks amazing. I had the soup of the day (crab bisque) and my husband had the croque madame. He also managed a salted caramel cheesecake from the selection of patisserie that was available. Service was exceptional, friendly and knowledgeable without feeling rushed or pushy. Less than £20 for lunch for two, two coffees and a dessert is a real bargain for such a lovely lunchtime experience. Thanks so much, we will be back and we'll be bringing friends!

I have been to Le Petite Chouette on three separate occasions since it opened, for three separate purposes; A breakfast croissant and hot chocolate, a lunchtime warm baguette and most recently for one of their bistro evenings. All of them exceeded expectations, and chef Paul's talent in bringing lovely French cuisine to middle England seems to know no bounds. The whole of the staff bring a fantastic friendly service, and I'll be returning plenty of times in 2019.

Relatively new french themed cafe that delivers on high expectations. The authentic food and drink on offer fits the bill for a morning coffee (you won't be able to avoid a cake or biscuit) - or a leisurely lunch. The menu is not extensive but what is available is good and they are always happy to adapt and make you something you like. This is just the sort of Cafe to reinvigorate Hinckley.

Situated on a Main Street, yet retaining the quiet relaxed atmosphere of a French village, the owner welcomes old and new customers with the knowledge and friendship of a genuine 'patron'. We visited one lunchtime and enjoyed an exsquisite baked Camembert with crunchy bread and crisp celery and carrot. We added a side saled with the chef's own French dressing to complement this lunchtime repast. It was absolutely delicious and we shall look forward to an early return, hopefully to enjoy one of their monthly cheese and wine evenings.

I came here for a wedding celebration, and it was a perfect place to hold it. Not too big, not too small, a decent selection of drinks (including a Swedish IPA!). The staff mae sure there was enough seating as the evening went on and there seemed to be a constant supply of chips once the food came out
