We want to thank you all for being part of Sailingdinner Cruises David an I have loved every minute of our time with you all and we will miss you but thank you for some wonderful times an allowing us to be a part of making wonderful memories ... We received a voucher for Xmas for afternoon tea and went on Friday 23rd of August and had the most wonderful day. Veronica the host was brilliant she kept in touch with us beforehand and met us on the jetty she was so friendly and welcoming and made you feel straight at ease, her husband is the skipper who was also very friendly. The boat is gorgeous spotlessly clean and comfortable. When we got on board we met another couple who were celebrating a birthday. We were brought a complementary bottle of fizz between the 4 of us and some nibbles which was a lovely surprise. Unfortunately the day was dull with no sun but no wind so was very pleasant as we set sail. The whole experience was wonderful. We sailed for a while then stopped at the other side of the lake. Veronica then took us on top and did a mini photo shoot was really good fun we were than shown to our table where our tea was waiting. Veronica prepares it all herself and was absolutely first class the scones and clotted cream was to die for everything was delicious. We were very very lucky with the company we had and laughed all the way through the 2.5 hours went so quick. We we got back Veronica air dropped all the photos she had taken of us and packed all the food we had not eaten for us to take home. A wonderful treat highly recommend if you looking to buy someone a special present would definitely recommend. The boat is big enough to take 3 couples and they also do dinner cruises which we definitely want to do next. Thank you Veronica and David wonderful afternoon

Bought as a birthday present, my husband and I travelled over to Windermere on a rainy inhospitable Friday for our afternoon tea on the Saturday. We were blessed with glorious weather and an equally glorious couple, Veronica and David our host and skipper for the afternoon. The cruise lasted 2 hours and was delightful from start to finish. Veronica made a great fresh afternoon tea and David skippered is well. A lovely afternoon and thoroughly recommended. Would go back!

Booked for romantic cruise for my fiance and I as a suprise birthday treat for us to enjoy together. Veronica & David were superb hosts and skipper. We chose to be collected from our hotel. Wonderful few hours on the lake sailing, chatting as well relaxing on deck on a lovely summer evening. I chose the menu which was beautifully cooked in the well appointed galley kitchen. Veronica took photos for us and we enjoyed the whole experience. Highly recommended.

"Absolutely fabulous !" ... Received a gift voucher for my husband's birthday. Met Veronica and David at the marina To be welcomed on to their beautiful boat. Prosecco on arrival, lake cruise, then moored in a peaceful bay for a 3 course meal. The food was incredible, cooked by the hosts, accompanied by a bottle of wine and port or brandy to finish off! We luckily happened to sail on a beautiful evening, perfect weather. Would like to thank Veronica and David for a fabulous evening. Definitely recommend ! 😁 Helen and John

We were in The Lakes to celebrate our sons wedding and a 65th birthday. As a special treat we booked a Tapas and Wine cruise with Dave and Veronica some months beforehand. From the moment Dave collected us from our hotel we were made to feel welcome. We were greeted on board the yacht by Veronica at the Low Wood , Ambleside. The food prepared by Veronica was perfect including a varied selection Spanish meat ,cheeses , savoury snacks with mixed dressed salad and a variety of different bread and olives and oils. Each served on individual platters and beautifully presented. Veronica has the foresight to ask for our wine preference . What absolute gems Dave and Veronica are. So easy to get on with on and have no shortage of interesting tales and local knowledge. Veronica was on hand to capture our experience and happily snapped away on the camera. Can not recommend highly enough. We will be back!

I wanted a different dinning experience for my 65th birthday and this did not disappoint. Dave picked us up from our Ambleside B&B. What followed was an intimate but sociable evening. it was so relaxed it felt like we were dinning with old friends. Communication when booking was good and It is great value for money. I will recommend to family and friends

An amazing afternoon on the gin cruise ! Booked for a hen party of 9 . Veronica and Dave were fantastic hosts . Excellent value for money . Would highly recommend and would love to try the dinner cruise next . Thank you Veronica for the photos of our day !

My wife surprised me with this trip and I didn't have a clue. It was expertly organised in secret with Veronica and Dave, who are the perfect hosts! We were picked up from our hotel in Ambleside and taken to the marina and boarded their beautiful yacht on Lake Windamere. From the moment we met them they make you feel at ease and relaxed. We were blessed with a beautiful summer evening with a very calm lake. We set sail with a glass of presseco and after a pootle around the lake we stopped in a quiet bay for dinner. Dinner was cooked by David and Veronica. I probably had one of the best cooked fillet steaks ever and all the trimmings were equally first class. From starter to desert you will not be disappointed. Thank you for a memorable evening and I would recommend a trip with these lovely people to anyone.

My partner kept what we having for dinner secret on our trip to the lakes, right until we got off the bus at Low Wood Bay Marina. What followed was a unique dining experience and probably one of the tastiest steaks going. Veronica and Dave were brilliant hosts, great to talk to and very friendly. Great salad to start and the main of steak with veg and sauce was very very tasty. There was even a bit of a photo shoot with us and with other couple on the cruise so that we didn't even have to worry about getting our phones out. If you want good food at a reasonable price, and you want one of the most exclusive dining rooms on Windermere, you know where to go.

Veronica and David are such a blessing to us! They are our captain, our chef and our photographer. We have been looked after very well from the moment we stepped into the boat. The food and wine were amazing, couldn't ask for better! It was raining throughout but thank God that it stopped for us for 20 mins after having our main so I could take my girlfriend to the front of the boat and proposed to her! She didn't have a clue! Highly recommend Veronica and David! Will love to come back again when we go to Lake District!

This was a treat for my husband's 40th birthday. Veronica and David were fantastic host's. From the very first email that I sent, Veronica was very helpful and the whole booking process was very straight forward. We were picked up by David from our hotel, which meant I could enjoy a drink with my husband. It was so relaxing, sitting back with a glass of bubbly and watching life on the lake. Our dinner was fantastic, we both had steak which David cooked to perfection (I am convinced that he is secretly a chef!) Veronica's dauphinoise potatoes were to die for as well. After dinner we were then given time to relax whilst our host's cleared everything away. Veronica took lots of pictures of us throughout our cruise which was great as it meant I could my phone away and enjoy the time with my husband. We could not believe how quickly the time went by and it was soon time to return to the marina, we sat back and enjoyed a cup of coffee and had a nice chat with Veronica while David took us in. A big thank you to you both for helping me make my husband's day special. We will definitely be back! x x

From the first contact with Veronica about a birthday celebration on the yacht I was impressed by the customer service!!!! All communication was clear & arrangements were soon finalised for our chosen evening on board. Our food choices were submitted in advance & our dietary requirements confirmed. We were greeted at the yacht by David & Veronica - the perfect hosts...... attentive, knowledgeable but also left us alone to enjoy our experience & celebrations. The table in the cabin was laid out like any top restaurant & we immediately felt comfortable. The food was fantastic- it was high quality, great portions & all prepared on board - definitely exceeded our expectations! The views on the lake were fab but we were grateful the boat was 'covered' to stop the chills (blankets were available though). We thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience & felt spoilt! We will definitely go back again to sample afternoon tea!

This was a Christmas present from our son - he couldn't have given us a better one. The whole experience was superb from beginning to end. David and Veronica were great hosts. Afternoon tea was beautifully presented and plentiful so much so that we got a doggy bag home with us. We would recommend the experience to anyone.

I booked this based on other Trip Advisor reviews and I definitely wasn't disappointed! From arrival at the dock, to leaving at the end of the night, we were both looked after really well and had a great evening. Once on the boat we were given some champagne and plate of nibbles which went down really well as the boat sailed off onto the lake - we anchored down in a quite alcove miles away from anywhere we'd been already and then were invited down into the dining area of the boat to eat. The starters were really good, but the main course was excellent, the fillet steak had by both of us was top notch. We were allowed to wander around the boat and take photographs while dinner was cleared away and dessert prepared, which was really good as well. Then we sailed slowly back to the dock under a deep red setting sun to bring a great evening to a close. The all in one price was great and I get the feeling Dave and Veronica buy stuff fresh based on who is attending, so you may be able to influence them if you have specific likes, especially around wines etc but the one they chose for us was good anyway. The only thing I would say (and it's not a negative) is that it's a small boat and looks like it caters for 2 couples per sailing so be prepared to share this with another couple... the seating is literally as if you had booked a table for 4.... if this isn't for you, make sure you discuss before hand with Veronica. Actually it worked really well on the night for us but may not be every one's cup of tea! Also ignore the French tag, I think they have undergone a menu revamp recently. Anyway, great food in a lovely setting with a really nice and welcoming couple in Dave and Veronica, I'd definitely do it again...

Mi marido reservó este hotel para mi cumpleaños en una estancia de 3 noches en Ambleside. Yo soy difícil de sorpresa con mi Miss Marple como sentido pero, aparte de que no iba a ser en tierra yo no tenía otra idea que Veronica ayudó a mi marido con su espionaje! Aunque el clima no fue lo mejor que tuvimos una noche maravillosa e inolvidable. Champagne para empezar con algo para picar, seguido de una deliciosa comida de 3 platos y la segunda mejor filete que he tenido nunca. Nos alimentamos los cisnes con su yate signets justo al lado de la casa, vimos el lago de un famoso "Corrie" episodio y disfrutamos de un brandy calentado al final de la noche. Dave y Verónica son muy acogedores, pero también te dan privacidad y que recomiendo encarecidamente.

Great hosts making us feel very welcome. Food was delicious and beautifully served as in a 5 star restaurant. Plenty to eat and good menu to choose from. Would recommend anyone to take the cruise. Would happily do it again if ever this way!

David and Veronica, provided a 1st class evening meal. 3 courses including a bottle of wine. Cruising Lake Windermere was romantic and beautiful. Perfect hosts perfect evening. Didn't want it to end. 😚

10th wedding anniversary wow what a night , what great food and weather the boat is amazing would go back tomorrow cannot believe how they look after you , get it booked I am very hard to please ask my wife lol and I loved it will definitely be back thanks soooo much to all of you

El servicio y la atención al detalle es sólo comparable a la calidad de la comida y la presentación. El tiempo ha desempeñado su parte y disfrutamos de una a la calidad del cartel experiencia con una vista que no podía poner un precio. Se lo recomendaría a cualquiera.

A wonderful experience for a special birthday treat. The yacht was wonderful and Dave the skipper a man of few words! Veronica our host was lovely, making us feel welcome right from the start, cracking many jokes, taking lots of pictures for us and totally making us feel very welcome.The food was good can highly recommend the Eaton Mess and the Chocolate mousse. The swans were friendly and we even got to hand feed them,The weather was beautiful and the sunset amazing.Thank you so much for helping me to make my partner's birthday such a memorable one.

Well were to start, I organised a sailing dinner cruise as a present to my wife as we were newly married, everything was just perfect from the start (except for the bit of rain, but then the sky's cleared and the sun shone), we were greeted from the pier at the Wateredge Inn, from then we were looked after, glass of sparkling wine as we got on board with some pre meal nibbles, we were served our starter, Tomato soup (OUTSTANDING) and then left alone to eat our main course, i had the Beef Bourginone (FANSTASTIC) the highlight was definitely when we were awaiting for the table to be reset for our dessert Chocolate Mousse (OUT OF THIS WORLD), we hand fed two swans and got to roam around the top of the boat taking photo's of the views around. Highly enjoyable experience, and I recommend them to anyone thinking of doing something nice for a party or special occasion. Everything is taken into account for instance we had a romantic meal for 2 so the theme was Hearts, right from the candles on the table to the shirt being worn by the waitress, fantastic.

I booked the evening dinner cruise as a surprise for my mums 50th birthday and it more than what I expected. The experience was intimate and personal. The effort that both Veronica and Dave went to to make it special was over an beyond what one would've asked for. Down to birthday banners and table decor. The food was delicious. I cannot fully explain how great this experience was but I would recommend this to all (and do to anyone heading to the lakes). Both Veronica and Dave are very accommodating and would do what ever they can to make the experience perfect for you. I cannot recommend this enough! We all definitely plan on rebooking for a lunch or an afternoon tea next time :) BOOK AND ENJOY ALL xx

This dinner cruise was booked as a surprise b day present it was amazing the food was great an veron an Dave made us feel so special and my Lovley man mark even got to sail us back all in all it was amazing I would advise anyone to book this it's a great experience xxxxxx

I booked this for my husband's 70th birthday Septemerber 2012. He had been a sea cadet when in his teens and thought it could be a good choice. It was, and beyond expectation. We stayed at The Windemere Hotel and the crew picked us up at the end of the jetty. With "Happy birthday" being sung as they tied up. This made my husband smile. Everything was perfect. With a birthday banner across the wall as an added touch. From the canapes and bottle of champagne to the 4 course specially prepared dinner, nothing could be faulted. I was extremely pleased with the complete trip. Service was excellent. I have been encouraging my friends to try it out for their special celebrations as it was such a lovely event and good value too. Highly recommended.

booked a dinner cruise for my wife and 2 friends as a surprise , and all ican say this was fantastic the crew where so professional and made us feel very comfortable and relaxed , the dinner and wine was 1st class and so relaxing this is a must for any couples or even a family to go on and we shall be back cant wait thank you very much

i booked this as a surprise for my wife can honestly say we couldn't have picked a better time in a better location. the people were really welcoming and made us feel so much at home. the food that was served was really fresh and the whole experience as a whole was just one of those ones that you could not predict. will book again
