Deja Brew Cafe in Lewisham

Love to visit this cafe when I’m in the area visiting my family. Great food and drink at very reasonable prices in a relaxed atmosphere and lovely staff who always make a fuss of my grandaughter. A real community gem.

Came with a friend for the first time and we were treated like regulars. Had tasty hot freshly prepared vegetarian breakfasts - there is lots of choice (for meat-eaters and vegans, too) and full flexibility. We ordered scrambled eggs and were offered a choice of "soft, medium or hard?" - that was a new experience for me. We chose medium and they were perfect. Real salt and pepper in grinders on the table. The 'Green Reviver' smoothie is absolutely delicious. Great range of hot and cold drinks too. Excellent and very friendly service; nothing too much trouble. Payment is by cash only, so go prepared. Will certainly be visiting again.

The most amazing food - imagine the best of British meets contemporary European fayre. A nice selection on the menu. From the sandwiches to the main meals and the specials. I love this place and to have it on the doorstep is a bonus. Best cafe in the area by miles.

We had a wonderful breakfast in this friendly cafe. The best breakfast we’ve eaten in London. Friendly happy people, cooking up a storm, at very reasonable prices.

Another visit and another spectacular meal enjoyed at Deja Brew. Service is impeccable but it’s in the kitchen where the magic occurs.

Another fabulous visit to Deja Brew!! After a bit of a facelift that has changed the interior a little, I’m pleased to say nothing has changed with the service and food - it is still top quality. All there is to say is “give this place a try and you won’t stop going back”. Thank you to the staff!

The woman who runs this cafe is just gorgeous! So incredibly kind and careful with my dietary requirements. I had a delicious omelette and potato cakes. I'll definitely be back!

Love this place. Down to earth, great menu, clean, delicious food from the great chef with loads of love in, lovely owners, friendly service. Everything you want from a neighbourhood cafe.

The Lamb Chops and spicy rice or couscous is to die for 😊 amongst some of thier other dishes. Friendly staff and good customer service. A lovely outside eating garden area at the back of the shop. An overall good atmosphere.

Everyone at Deja Brew (love the name) should be so proud of themselves. They have pulled off a rarity in London. I witnessed the last of the Italian cafes and sadly saw their end. I never thought I'd find a cafe like those ever again. This cafe has picked up on the zeitgeist of London right now and put their own twist on it. Without over complicating the menu, they've mixed vegan, veggie and meat dishes as options. So it means no one is excluded. That's so thoughtful. Very clever too. This shows, as it seems to bring in a perfect mix of people. Different classes, different age groups, professions, families, individuals, all appear to patronise it. And then there's the food. Just perfect. Delicious, well presented, ethical and high quality ingredients. Excellent prices too. Great staff... nothing left to cover. Highly impressed by this well thought out and considerate eatery.

I think this is a fantastic place and I know many of you out there do too. Did you know they also do takeaway? I didn't and so we had a lovely lunch that my husband picked up. Great. They also can deliver. So please support Toure and Sylvia especially since the news this afternoon announced closure tonight of all cafes and restaurants.But not takeaways, so you can still have breakfast and lunch.

I had a funeral to attended and needed to park up before spaces went and needed to kill come time before it started, i had driven pass this Cafe many time on the way home from work, so already knew it would be good for somewhere to eat. On going in, I notice the decor, simple green and brown, very nice.. Comfortable seating. If did say on the table you are to make you order at the counter, but a love waitress by the name of Sziiuia greeted us. She was both funny and very welcoming, my mum requested hot chocolate but made with water not milk, they obliged. i believe any special dietary requested made, they will try to oblige. Sziiuia offer me some advise on a food choice i had requested, the food was cook by Chef Toure and presented wonderfully. They also have extra space at the back of the cafe if you want to have a little family Sunday lunch together. I will defiantly making a return trip for more food

I used this cafe to feed a number of people at an ungodly hour on a Saturday morning. These angels agreed to open early and feed us, and all with a smile. They took care of us all morning and this cafe was an absolute delight to spend time in. I can not thank these guys enough or recommend them highly enough. Not only that, but the food was absolutely delicious. Brockley is lucky to have them.

Amazing restaurant! Super fresh food and an extensive menu. I love the fact that the eggs are free range not nasty cheap ones! Wonderful, friendly service. A must try, one of the best in the area!
