Fantastic coffee. Lovely friendly atmosphere. Staff very smiley and friendly. Highly recommended. Have been here 2 days in a row.

Decent lunch offerings and the sweet treats selection is fantastic! They're also dog friendly!

Very nice, relaxed, good for a small group to catch up over coffee and delicious cakes. Rather pricey (£1.90 for a small carton of apple juice) but otherwise recommended. My daughter enjoyed it too.

Delicious coffee and Baked Goods

The food is good, especially the desserts. Would recommend the chicken sandwich or pear & biscoff slice! Coffee is alright. I've been here multiple times and thought the atmosphere could be a bit more welcoming. The staff are polite but not that friendly, I just came in for a chilled morning coffee and somehow felt a bit out of place in my casual clothes? A good place to bring your nan for brunch but not so much for a relaxed hangout with your friends i guess? 😕

Really busy cafe and definitely a great brunch spot for families. Sucks there aren’t a lot of outlets so not an ideal spot for remote work. Food is pricey but delicious. No accessible toilets.

I cannot say enough that will describe how truly amazing this place is. The food is very good, they have beautiful and delicious French patisserie cakes, and most of all the staff is super friendly and makes you feel comfortable. The cherry on top is being pet friendly, my dog is always well received there and she loves meeting new friends when we go there. This is the best place you will discover in a while.

It’s been since 4 years I’ve visited Le Delice it’s been amazing, I travel far away to get to this place , the stuff are nice and friendly

I want to think positively of folks but I believe this place might be a bit racist. My coffee machine broke down so I got coffee from this place for a week. It was a decent cup. 4-5 days into it I find out they have a loyalty card system and they were only offering it to white folks! Right infront of me, he offered a loyalty card to an elderly white man, then right behind me a white lady but completely ignored me!! That happened 5 days in a row! 1 day maybe I can understand, but five straight days, come on? Have some shame. I won’t be going there anymore.

I've just moved to the area and spent all day working in the cafe due to the train strikes. Such a lovely atmosphere, the wifi was reliable and most of the staff very hospitable and polite. The food was also tasty and I'll definitely be returning soon.

Friendly and efficient staff. Very good patisserie and bread. Great lunches. Reasonable prices. Pleasant decor. Recommended. Has lovely French style cakes. Stops serving cooked food at 2pm Dog friendly. Level access throughout (front door has steps, side door has a slope) but no accessible toilets (there is an accessible toilet in the nearby park). Seems to be LGBTQ friendly.

A bit expensive but worth it considering the food and the place is comfy. The staff are very nice

Good location. Food was okay. I got the Nutella and banana crepe and there could've been more Nutella as lots of the crepe was dry. Coffee was also okay. Atmosphere was nice though.

This is such an amazing place - delicious food, amazing patisserie, staff is very lovely and friendly and it’s got that neighbourhood vibe that makes it feel cosy and welcome. It’s also pet friendly. I cannot overstate how good this place is.

Customer service was horrible, no smiles, no nothing. 3 of us ordered food together on one bill. All came out at different times. Mine came out 1st, so of course I waited for the rest of the food to be polite... So mine was cold and hard by the time i got to it (I ordered a salami sandwich). Also ordered a classic plus, which arrived with no egg, so ounce again we had to wait. The concept of going out to eat together, is just that... the eating together part.

Best mocha I have had in London!

One of the best coffee shops in south east London. The level of professionalism and customer service from the staff is second to none. Always a warm welcome, prices are very reasonable and the coffee and food are amazing!

The cakes and patisserie are some of the best I’ve ever tasted. La Delice is my favourite tea & cake spot (and I live round the corner so I’m there a lot!). The fresh bread is also excellent. And you get a full pot of tea, not just a single cup. There’s seating inside or outside, or get a takeaway and go sit in Ladywell Fields.

Delicious food and very friendly and polite staff. I extremely recommend to all the Exotic delice sweet it's to cry for more.

Maybe it's because I'm an invisible 60 something painter decorator covered in paint that meant I was treated with such contempt when I bought my morning coffee here. Shame because the coffee is very good. Disappointingly plain croissant though.

Nice place to eat and relax if they respect it! Waiters are around sweeping your cups immediately and sometimes trying to take them when you still have coffee on them! Real pity!

I’ve had breakfast here a few times and it has always been lovely. The portions are great and everything is made fresh. The coffee is one of the best in the area. There is also a huge variety of pastries and cake that are so inviting.

One of the best cafes in the Ladywell area. Great quality food and drinks. Can be very busy during peak times, so if you want a little more peace and quiet, pick your times wisely! Some of the best cakes here as well, so if you have a sweet tooth or have plans that revolve around cakes, this is the place to be!

I just had the best the best sweet of my life, it was the chocolate and caramel one. I’m a person who always eat sweets and I can definitely say it was the best. The staff there were also very welcoming and kind with a great smile all of them. Thank you so much! I will come back soon!

Attended with colleagues for lunch. One of the staff behind the counter lacked customer service skills for sure. Her attitude was poor and involved, rolling her eyes and dismissing concerns/queries. Our order was meant to be ready at 1:15. we arrived at 1:20, and nothing was ready and had to re-order upon arrival. When we queried about the delay. The young lady behind the till was not very helpful and was very unprofessional in her attitude and response. we were told that "you were late anyway" however my colleague had sent over the order in the morning consideering it was a working lunch and was reassured on 3 separate occasions that it would be ready.The manager, however, was quite nice and did appologise. The panini sandwich was nice. The salad that a lot of us ordered was extremely cold. Some opted to take away as it was difficult to eat. Some had the salmon crepe which cost about £10.00 for the price u paid you had more crepe than filling-a measly portion of salmon as such it was quite dry some of us opted to take sauce from other dishes to help making it a bit more appetising. The orange juice, however, was quite dry. Wasn't impressed

Quite disappointing experience as I really wanted to enjoy it as the place looks lovely from the outside. we went there for lunch yesterday and pre ordered food. It not even the fact that we had to wait and had 5-10 min to eat even tho we clearly stated that we are all health professionals and need to be back for a certain time but the food quality was really low! I had salmon crepe which was empty ( I had tiny piece of salmon and cream cheese only in the middle ) definitely not worth paying £10. Salads were also super cold and hence not enjoyable. I give some stars to only say thank you to our server lovely French lady.

Honestly this place is a delight. The food has always been bang on for the 9+ years I've been coming here... since I had my first born at lewisham hospital! Not over in lady well often but whenever I am I stop here. Oh... the cakes and sweet treats 😋😋😋 My brother came down from Walthamstow and was delighted by the price of the coffee also! 🤣

Not sure which one of the two “La felice” is this one as I visited both of them in two consecutive days. Their coffee is the standard Illy Cafe which is of acceptable quality and taste, however it’s inferior to many independent coffee shops and coffee brewers in London. So there’s always room for improvement. Other than that they offer a wide variety of breakfast and lunch options; I had an avocado, poached eggs and salmon on toasted bread which was excellent!

Ate the bacon and egg baguette with side salad , very tasty. Took some cakes from the patisserie to eat at home. The chocolate salted caramel was delicious.

Ordered crepes. Obviously were pre-made and reheated in microwave. Pre-grated cheese and low quality ham. All for £9 each. Rip off.

Went there today for the first time. I actually pass in front of it by car and I was always curious to stop and go for a coffee as it looks so cosy. Well I was definitely not disappointed, food is lovely, cakes are delicious. The coffee as we'll was very good. And costumer service is ☆☆☆☆☆ . I will definitely come back every week now.

Don’t order the full English breakfast.

Great range of food on offer and an amazing selection of cakes and pastries. I prefer to visit the one in Hithergreen of I am earing in only because its bigger so has more space to sit etc but this doesn't change the fact that the Ladywell branch offers tasty food at reasonably prices, a good Mocha and the staff are friendly.

Great full English breakfast and relatively low calorie if you're watching what you eat. Nicely located near the station and not too busy. Service was really quick.

We've arrived around lunch, on a Wednesday, thinking we would find plenty of seats for five. How wrong we were, the place was packed - it's usually very popular, as the train and civil workers strikes coincided with our outing. Nonetheless, the always helpful staff lend us a hand and we managed to sit in. Food and drinks were great as usual and service is very fast, prompt and on point. It's a great spot for brunch/lunch which we've visited many times and never left disappointed. The brunch/lunch items are simple but always very good (the ham&cheese omelette is a favorite of mine) and the pastries and cakes are always very good (tried about half of the offering so far). BE WARNED though: the cafe is a magnet for families with small children and the hectic haberdashery they bring along. The staff does everything in their power to accommodate everyone but I can understand that sometimes catering to families is soul-sucking and spirit-draining.

I like this place. Has a variety to choose from. Only minus was busy, and there were tables but they were not clean.

I went there at evening time. I wanted to try a drinks to my surprise I had very bad experience there with the staff. Bad attitude. She made my drink very bad and disgusting I couldn’t even have it. She were touching the food wearing no gloves. I had a very bad experience there. Bad stuff there

Took my 9 month old son in there and was treated with disdain and hostility throughout. The owner repeatedly muttered under her breath in response to any noise he made and made a point of gesticulating and gesturing negatively to other customers, like she was trying to turn the cafe against us. After being made to feel very unwelcome my partner asked to speak to her privately and she didn't even apologise. Just said the noise was jarring and then quickly fobbed us off. We understand that it can be distracting and a bit jarring, but babies make noise, you're in hospitality and you're providing a service. The least you can do is remain professional. Clearly children aren't welcome, I'd suggest another spot if you have the audacity to want a cup of coffee.

One of your employees is very rude , I asked her to clean the table for me and she was pretending not listening me , is not only this the way she speak as well … I’m a regular costumer I always come there with my family .

i cannot explain how much i love this place, i get my breakfast on my way to work at this place and honestly the food is so good, would recommend!!

Unfortunately staff were quite rude, weren’t very unfriendly.

I came here the first time in September when I moved in with my partner and we forgotten our camera at this cafe, and took a flight to go on holiday, realising just then we left the camera there. We contact them through Facebook and Karine was amazing! She found and kept the camera for 2 weeks (time we were on holiday) and when we came back she gave it to us offering also a cafe. Very honest and friendly. We now come here often and the food is great as well as the environment. Highly recommended!

Weekends Early Morning it's busy, but you get served swiftly eat in or outside, they will bring your food to your table, great range of goodies.

Was a 5 star place to come for a quiet morning coffee and enjoy a little peace before work, but people have started to bring crying babies in and it's just absolutely destroyed the ambience. No longer my stop for my daily coffee as this has made it unbearable now. Shame as the staff are lovely, the coffee is good and the food is pretty good too.

Great cafe, lovely staff. Illy coffee served very well. A good place for coffee. However, my simple advocado on 3 small slices of stick loaf was limited; nothing else added, no seasoning and only a pinch of salad leaves. At £5.85 I think overpriced. Go there for a nice coffee and decide for yourself.

Food good but not enough choice at lunch After 1pm salads have run out or run low and savoury choices limited. Patisserie amazing with many many beautiful cakes

Having enjoyed visiting the cafe on a often weekly basis since it opened in Hither Green. Today I walked out almost in tears after the terrible way I was spoken to and the poor service I received. I visited the cafe over a week ago to enquire about a cake order and was told I would be entered into the diary and was quoted £35. I then attended again in person two days later to confirm the order and pay a £10 deposit. I also informed that collection would be made around 11am so that it could be delivered to central London for a specific time/place/event. I again attended the cafe in person on one of my regular visits as a customer to ask if lemons or fresh fruit could be added to the plain icing if possible- but that this was not a definitive request only if possible. I called the cafe the day before the collection date to confirm the cake order and reminded that I would be there between 10:45 and 11am to make the collection. On the day of the collection (TODAY) on walking to cafe at around 10:45 a text came through which I did not open. I arrived at the cafe at 11am to collect the cake. Only to be told that it was not yet made and was at the Ladywell premises. Also that on arrival it would then be decorated. I explained that I was collecting the cake to take to a birthday event and that following that I had to travel out of London to a different city. This delay would cause immense impact. At this point I also read the text that said the cake would not be ready until 12pm. This text was sent only a few minutes before I was due to make the collection which would have left no time to find an alternative anyway. The waiter was very kind and tried to get the cake hurried over to the Hither Green branch for decoration and the baker they spoke with on the phone assured it would be there in 5mins. I waited until 11:30. I was offered a refund and no cake or to wait. I choose to wait although this was with the information that it would be there in 5mins. I also explained that this delay would now cost me an excess of £15 in travel expenses so requested this be considered. This meant I had missed the first train option to deliver the cake for the event in central London. As well as having a knock on effect to the travel out of London later today. This was explained and the kind waiter said he would try to see what they could do in the way of a discount or not charging. The manager came to give me the cake at approx 11:35 they apologised which I excepted but explained my disappointment and how this would now impact my travel obligations and the inconvenience caused. They offered to drive me to Hither Green which was unhelpful as at this time the train had left and I was going to be late to deliver the cake to central London for the event as well as the later travel arrangements to the Midlands. Their manner was in part apologetic but in actuality very dismissive, even when I had explained the knock on affect of the service I had received. They then said I would need to pay the outstanding balance - I explained dissatisfaction with the service and they applied a £10 discount. This seemed unfair considering the cake was 45mins late and the consequences of this so I explained that I would have expected it be given at cost to the cafe to compensate for the problems caused by their delay and poor service. This was communicated calmly and was received with argumentative reply so I agreed to pay £28 out of principle -at which point they said and I quote ‘I do not want your money’. I was so taken aback and upset by this comment and tone which created such a scene within the quiet and usually lovely cafe. I was so upset and stunned that I walked out with the cake. I have never been so embarrassed and hurt by a consumer interaction and am saddened that I will now not feel welcome or comfortable in what was my local cafe.

24/5/22 Le Delice Just popped in with some charity colleagues for a catch-up after covid with a coffee at this busy gem of a local cafe with friendly staff and good service. Was a bit noisy to have a 'meeting' though but coffee and cake were good. Lots of others enjoying themselves, the ambiance and the food!
