El personal era encantador y atento, la dueña es Lisa, pero no estaba en ese día, sin embargo, su personal hizo muy bien y nos proporcionó una comida encantadora y un servicio fantástico. An excellent place to go after parkrun at Cramond. Very tasty food, and we're always well looked after. The dog meals are the proverbial icing on the cake!

Vine al bistró del pueblo con mi familia y tuve la experiencia más brillante. Lisa y el personal nos hicieron sentir muy bienvenidos con un servicio maravilloso. La comida era deliciosa y muy buena relación calidad-precio también. Gracias por la salchicha para rufus que le encantó!

I don't know what has happened to this place. When it first opened it was excellent and reasonably priced. You'd get served without waiting too long. I went in for breakfast yesterday and it was awful my friend just had a coffee then bill was ridiculous for what we had. Different if the food was good but it wasn't good at all and it took ages to get served and ages even to get the order in. It wasn't busy only 1 other table but we waited while the staff had a chat amongst themselves. Very disappointed. I won't be back

Fui al bistró el miércoles para almorzar con mi mamá, de 3 años y 1 año. Gran comida, gran ambiente, gran servicio al cliente. Así que complaciente con los niños, me pongo bastante nervioso llevando a los niños a comer tiende a ser uno frustrarse o tirar comida de trona, pero no les importaba in bistro tan comprensivo. Proporcionó crayones y papel para dibujar y también algunos juguetes. También pedí comida a los niños de inmediato para que se mantuvieran ocupados y llegó tan rápido. Luego pasamos a pintar nuestra propia maceta de plantas - mi hijo de 3 años tuvo la mejor época pintando su maceta esto fue genial y nos permitió a mi mamá y a mí disfrutar de un poco de pastel y un café en paz. ¡Sin duda volveré!

Pasando por allí y bajado para un poco de almuerzo, sin duda volverá. Personal amable y excelentes porciones, de hecho dudamos que estemos listos para la cena. El servicio era de 1 clase callejera y la comida no solo era abundante, sino también delicioso. Muy recomendable, debería visitarlo bien valdría la pena. Sin duda volveremos.

Vinimos a resguardarnos de la lluvia mientras estábamos de paseo entre Navidad y Año Nuevo. Recibimos una bienvenida fantásticamente amable y disfrutamos de un bollo y pastel, así como bebidas. El lugar tiene una sensación encantadora - incluso nos unimos a cantar feliz cumpleaños a uno de los habituales. Sin duda volveremos y lo recomendaría totalmente este lugar.

Buen lugar para una taza y un pan tostado. Ambiente agradable y el personal agradable. El menú es bastante extenso; parecen obtener productos locales y hacer mucha de la comida ellos mismos.

Vino a almorzar y encontró el café un lugar tan encantador. Había una cálida bienvenida, personal amable y comida muy agradable. Los pasteles estaban DEMASIADO buenos y a pesar de mis mejores esfuerzos para resistirme, llegué a casa con bastante selección.

After a moderately heavy Saturday night we needed a sensible breakfast but trying to find one that catered for a vegan wasn’t easy. Some searching found the Village Bistro and pretty glad we did. Jacqui (sp) the manager had been left hanging by a chef not turning up but rallied to serve 4 cracking breakfasts including a Vegan one. Good food, good coffee, great welcome and ambiance serves up a great little place to visit. Jacqui and the other staff deserve a medal for dealing with their situation yesterday when most would have simply closed the doors. We’ll come back.

We dropped in on the passing for a tea and coffee and ended up with a pizza and cakes too. We were made very welcome by Jaquie and the staff. The food was fantastic, good value and the atmosphere great. We will be back, definitely worth a visit.

One of the most friendly,welcoming cafe's I've ever been to. All the staff were so lovely and couldn't have done more for our family gathering for my mother in laws 90th birthday. Delicious super fresh food ,the Terriyaki prawns were absolutely amazing! The perfect relaxed place for family and friends. Thanks to everyone xx

We really enjoyed out post-Parkrun visit to The Village Bistro. This is the place to go if you value helpful staff and a good range of menu options.

Loved our Valentine's lunch yesterday. We wanted to go local but hadn't tried the Village Bistro under new management. Superb sharing plates or tapas - four courses, from superb home-made foccacia with hummus and olive oil, then wagu beefballs, prawns, various potato dishes, particularly the dauphinoisem then shortbread, doughnuts, strawberries and cherries dipped into a sumptuous chocolate sauce, then cheese plus crackers and chutneys. SO much food, we had three doggie bags as well as the wee bottles of artisan chutney, unopened, because we were so full. Will definitely go back soon, want to try their normal lunches and teas. Just fabulous. Very friendly staff, dog friendly, efficient. My only criticism - the decor is a bit jaded and retro which of course has a certain kind of charm, but I really don't like plastic flowers and plants.

The warmest of welcomes, the best ever brownie and a little bit of a sing song! What a wee gem of a place with the most attentive and funny staff.

Went for lunch with my friend to this lovely Village Bistro and had a great welcome by exceptional staff and owner Paula. We ordered the 'eggs benedict with smoked salmon' and a 'panini with tuna/red pepper/onion, served with a pot of coleslaw/lettuce leaves/crisps. Coffee and delicious homemade scones...ALL Were Excellent. Great ambiance with a sense of community and also pet friendly. This place is a "Must Visit".

We had a long wait to be served although order was taken fairly quickly. The cafe was not busy at the time of ordering. Two of us agreed that our scones were over-baked and hard around the edges. We were surprised that we had to pay an additional charge for jam. In spite of poor service, the owner was friendly and there was a homely atmosphere. They even offered to switch up the heater for us. Not that keen to give this cafe another go because it was overly expensive for what we had.

We popped in this afternoon and had delicious cheese scones with carmelised onion! Such a warm and friendly atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.

We had a Friday night box - it contained enough lovely food for both of us . The food was very tasty and was presented well in the box . Will definitely do it again !

First time visiting this Bistro and will definitely be back. The eggs Benedict was cooked to perfection! Lovely atmosphere and the owner was so friendly and welcoming. This will be a regular drop in place for brunch from now on.

I went alone one morning just for some ‘me time’ over a hot cuppa and a breakfast roll. Lovely friendly local with a homely village feel. Super friendly owner who clearly is all about her locals and the community. Will be back, both alone and with others.

Lovely evening spent here with friends. The food was tasty, hot and freshly cooked. BYOB was a bonus. It’s great to have somewhere local to spend an evening catching up . The owner and staff were friendly and welcoming. Will definitely be back.

Got the half soup and a sandwich which is usually a bowl of soup with half a sandwich however this was literally a half soup ie a cup of soup. The soup was nice. They forgot to add the salad to the tuna salad sandwich. Again the tuna sandwich was fine, bread was soft and fresh but at £7.95 per person this is not good value for money. Literally half a sandwich and a cup of soup. Wouldn’t return.

Honestly such a great atmosphere! Staff are super friendly! I can honestly say they have the best cheese scones in town! Would recommend to anyone passing :).
