Fantastic Italian themed evening, delicious food and wine.

I have been here twice now and this restaurant is truely outstanding. There is a lot of work and passion in to making this a great experience for diners. There is good music at the right volume which adds to the atmosphere well. Both the chef and host are very accommodating and make you feel at ease, I'd say you can be as involved or uninvolved as you like with them and they will adjust to how receptive you are. As this is a chef table experience you can see some of the process that goes into the food and explanations are given, they are more than happy to answer any questions you have. The food is exceptional, not a single dish isn't well though out, delicious and well presented. The timing between courses and throughout the whole experience is perfect. Very good with the balance of flavours and textures too. I didn't leave feeling heavy like after some tasting menus but simply satisfied. Chairs are comfortable and are great for this setting as the tops turn slightly so you don't feel uncomfortable constantly turning if you are going with someone. Very clean and tidy space which with a modern cosy feeling. I could go on forever, in some ways wanna keep this place for me for selfish reasons but they deserve to go very far and I hope they do. Easily one of the best places to eat in Edinburgh for a fine dining experience in a relaxed and welcoming environment. Thanks for the experience guys.

Absolutely sensational tasting menu! Brian and Glen work together seamlessly to deliver an experience that is one of a kind. The flavors of each dish are fantastic with wine pairings that complement them perfectly. Seeing Brian & Glen at work and hearing from them personally on each dish and glass of wine adds a very intimate, personal touch to the evening. Food was incredible. Chef was attentive and his menu well thought out. Ingredients are local and fresh. Execution was perfect. Maître d’hôtel was a racist man discriminating against people of color. People of color in the restaurant felt uncomfortable and the whole experience was spoilt but the maître d’hôtel.

The food at eorna is exceptional. A seasonal tasting menu full of delicious flavours. Both the chef and sommelier are fantastic and take great care of the guests. I would definitely recommend a visit to their restaurant in Stockbridge, Edinburgh.

We were delighted to watch Brian plate his creations and ever more so to eat them! Glen was the perfect host and accompanied our dinner with a perfect selection of wines. Amazing food. Fantastic wine. Brilliant service. The venue is cool and comfortable. Plenty space to dine as a couple but close enough to engage with your neighbours if you like. The food is probably the best I've had on a meal out. Its worth every penny. Local Scottish seasonal produce cooked to perfection. The wine was paired not just to "go" with the food but to work together with it to enhance the experience of each dish. Although one of the more expensive options, I don't feel it's overpriced. Nice things cost money, and this feels like great value. I'll be back.

Glen and Brian have created something truly magical at eorna. From the moment we walked in the door we were so well looked after, and the food was exquisite. I can’t wait to return!

Food this good usually comes with smoke, mirrors, foams, strange reductions and far too much fanfare. So, when Brian and Glen hand you a plate of exceptional food in an intimate setting with fantastic wine, you wish you could find the time to eat there every day. All of the dishes show so much refinement and balance - true examples of the benefits of having amazing ingredients and letting them shine. The smoked salmon dish is the best expression of smoked salmon I have ever had because of that approach.

Booked for a private birthday dinner with friends. A fantastic venue, which provided a relaxed evening with great food and wine, hosted by Glen and Bruce who made this a very special and memorable night.

An ambrosial dining experience. Between the knowledge and capabilities shared between Brian and Glen, you hardly notice the time passing because you are so wrapped up in each course as it appears before you. It is so enjoyable to watch people who are so skilled at what they do work, but also be visibly enjoying themselves. Thank you for a lovely evening.

A fantastic dining experience from the moment we walked through the door to the moment we left! A group of four, we were made to feel extremely welcome upon arrival with Sommelier/front of house Glen greeting us and Chef Brian coming over to introduce himself before we took our places at the bar/chefs table. Chatting to Glen whilst serving us our drinks with his extensive knowledge and watching Brian prepare and cook our meals was great. Both do so well to interact with the twelve guests whilst going about their jobs. The food was amazing, every course giving guests something to talk about, and the accompanying wines making you think “well I’d never normally have ordered that” whilst wishing there was more. A truly wonderful evening in a great setting. Thank you Eòrna, and good luck. You deserve nothing but success!

A small (1 long table seating maximum 12 people) Restaurant with nondescript frontage. However, once inside… wow! There are only two people(chef Brian and server/sommelier Glen) Who both give off a gentle easy-going vibe. They have both worked at several Michelin restaurants and got together to open this Labor of Love.. it was great to watch Brian cooking and answering any of our questions. The food was delicious. Glenn was extremely knowledgeable about the wines which perfectly pared the dishes. I went with three friends and we were all of the same opinion. Oddly enough, although we shared the long table with seven other diners, it still felt private and intimate. A Michelin star surely on the horizon! Pretty good value for money but still felt special. Nice ambience and the music was pretty good, too! Highly recommended

I was at Eorna for the first time last night. It was so amazing, I can’t wait to go back. The whole evening was a great dining experience. The restaurant just does 12 covers an evening, with every one sitting around the chef’s table. Everyone is seated round the same table but there is enough space between parties that you’re not invading on each other’s space. The evening starts around 6:45pm with aperitifs and finishes around 11pm. The seasonal menu was stunning and served with really well matched and sometimes unexpected wines. Brian and Glen were great hosts, spending time with each party explaining the different food and wines. I would highly recommend.

Family visit to Eórna end of March , we had 7 of the 12 places around the table . Food was amazing , Brian is a very talented chef who takes great pride in what he served to customers. A sensational experience. The food was incredible and the paired wines perfect with each course. Both Brian and Glen took time to explain each course and the accompanying wine. Excellent hosts and both masters of their trade. Seeing them at work in the open kitchen enhanced the experience. Amazing - will definitely be back.

What an amazing dining experience. We were sat around a chefs table with 10 other guests but it still felt intimate for myself and partner. Brian and Glen are so welcoming and it was great to watch Brian create the dishes in front of you. The food was mouth-watering, I still can’t pick a favourite course! I recommend having the matching wine flight - Glen was so knowledgable about all the different wines, I left feeling i could now impress friends with my new found knowledge over my next glass of vintage champagne. Eorna must be on your list of places to visit when in Edinburgh.

This restaurant is amazing. We’ve eaten in loads of Michelin star restaurants across the world, but the unique setting of this establishment, incredible creativity & attention to detail of Chef, Brian & knowledge of Glen, the Sommelier really sets them apart. This is definitely a new place to try & I don’t believe you will be disappointed as the food & wine was sublime. Despite only been open just 9 months, they are already so worthy of a Michelin star. Well done guys & we wish you the best of luck with your journey. If ever we are back in Edinburgh, we will 100% visit your restaurant again.

Fantastic night at Eorna last night. Top class food in a relaxed and comfortable environment. Hard to pick a favourite course as they were all good, white asparagus dish, salmon dish and 'apple' for desert all stand out elements from chef Brian. Trusted Glen with the wine and he delivered a beautiful pino noir, rioja and dessert wine. If the good food and wine wasn't enough, attention to detail on excellent glassware, cutlery and music all added to what was a superb, relaxing and intimate catch up meal with my wife. Can't recommend Eorna enough.

Want an intimate, unpretentious but seriously skilled fine dining experience? Chef Brian and sommelier Glen are your duo. What a fantastic, memorable evening we had! The menu was incredibly effective - real food, cleverly elevated to fine dining, whilst showing off local ingredients and making them the stars of the show. The smoked salmon was unlike any we've ever had (Brian would tell the story of where and how it was smoked according to his specifications), the venison was incredible, a perfectly seared scallop was the star of another dish. Beautiful, perfectly crispy and fresh sourdough bread was served, with a seasoned butter that we couldn't get enough of. No unnecessary foams and snows seen here! Glen was an effervescent host alongside Brian, full of stories and hospitality. Glen's clever wine pairings showed such a careful attention to detail without relying on obvious choices, instead doing a lot with lesser known producers and regions. Such was his intent to offer the best that can be found that he's even sourced great quality teas and for the first time ever anywhere in the UK I was offered Greek mountain tea - a Greek staple with no real exporting power, suddenly served in this gem of a restaurant in Edinburgh. Can't wait to come again!

We had the loveliest evening at Eorna. Glen and Brian are the perfect team - food and service were impeccable from beginning right to the end. The food was beautifully presented and well cooked, and the paired wines were clearly selected with much thought and care. It was a truly enjoyable dining experience that I cannot recommend enough.

Absolutely delicious food from the first mouthful to the last. Beautifully prepared and presented by Brian. We went for the wine pairing too and it was well worth it as Glen took time to explain why each wine had been specifically selected for the course. So not only an unsurpassable food experience but a wine education one too! The best dining adventure we have had in a considerable time.

What an absolute treat awaited us at Eorna. Beautiful interior and loved the set up , a large Chef’s Table. Fabulous Bar Stools that swivelled for ease of access and the Ladies were supplied with a Hand Bag hook that clipped onto the rather beautiful table top . All the little details have been thought of . Glen was a fantastic Host , very engaging and really knows his stuff. You were looked after from the minute you stepped through the door until the minute you left. He took the time to go round everyone individually , enquiring about their Wine preference's and then made reccomendations . We all had the Wine pairing menu and it worked perfectly . Meanwhile Brian was working away in his immaculate Kitchen , everything was very organised and tidy. It was great being able to watch him preparing all the courses while sipping on Champagne and savouring his exquisite canapés We are all used to seeing Kitchen’s with lots of covers and operating at a rather frenetic pace so i was amazed at how calm his operation was. His food was exceptional and beautifully presented , a joy to savour . We will be returning as soon as is possible and are very much looking forward to our next visit. A wonderful evening had by all.

We had canapés followed by a six course tasting menu with paired wines. Every dish was outstanding and it was lovely to watch Brian prepare the food. He is so calm and precise and is happy to discuss the food with you. It is impossible to select a favourite course because every single thing Brian produced was sensational. Glen provides impeccable service. We were treated like old friends and looked after very well. Glen is clearly extremely knowledgeable about wine however he imparts this knowledge with fun and enthusiasm and is definitely not a wine bore! There were lots of lovely personal touches like our menu being personalised for my husband’s birthday. This is a very special restaurant which we really love. Everything is perfect, yet it is completely unpretentious and you can relax and feel very welcome.

This was our second visit to Eorna and even better than the first, some new dishes on the menu and as before every one was fantastic, the chicken angelotti, the scallops and the two desserts were all sensational, the granny smith end to the meal was a particular high note to finish on. As before its a real privilege to watch Brian produce these courses in front of you and always has time to explain and discuss all things gastronomic - you learn a lot and also get a better appreciation of how hard these guys work to make sure you have a great experience. Glen - as always the perfect host, we had requested a particular wine on our last visit but it wasnt on their list, for this time he had tracked one of our old favourites and had it ready for us, typifies how well they look after you. Its a real treat to dine here, rebooked already.

We heard about here via the Times last night, best restaurant list. The concept reminded us of a sushi bar experience we had in Tokyo, with diners all around watching the chef prepare the food. Similar in concept but with western dishes this was simply the best night out we have had, and that includes a few Michelin starred places as well. The only dilemma writing this review is we would like to keep this place as a local best kept secret … but with a maximum capacity of twelve, and no doubt many more five star reviews to come, pretty soon we assume you will need to plan a visit months in advance. Thank you for a uniquely memorable night !

Absolutely first class. Sheer quality and style from start to finish. Magnificent two man team who have come up with a great dining concept. The interaction with them is priceless. I had never tasted veal sweetbreads before and they were so delicious. And every other mouthful was exquisite. The wine flight to accompany each course is also superb. We must return soon,

A most memorable night with a group of 12 long standing friends who appreciate good food and drink ! Lots of taster plates , every single one of them absolutely delicious and presented to the highest standard . For someone who no longer drinks wine , the wine presented with each course made me appreciate a good wine again ! Loved how both Brian and Glen interacted in such a professional way with the group . Was not sure how the seating would work with our group as such a long table but with the intimacy of the restaurant and a few seat rotations managed to catch up properly with nearly everyone in the group more than one would in a noisy restaurant with traditional seating . Similarly can see how a few smaller groups would work as plenty space . Very comfy seats ! Thank you so much to all the Eorna Hosts x

This was a special night out for us, between Stockbridge and the New Town. We had an outstanding meal and attentive service from a two-man team, with Brian preparing the delicious tasting menu and Glen, choosing, describing and delivering an interesting, unusual but very enjoyable wine flight. This is a 12-person restaurant, with food prepared and cooked in front of us, and an intimate experience. Brian and Glen are both very engaging and committed. A great evening!

Every now and again you discover something special. This is it. Superb food. Great wines and excellent service. Brian cooks in front of you and Glenn really does know his wines. Ok it’s not cheap but it’s worth it.

One of the best tasting menus I’ve ever experienced and have had a few ! Simply outstanding cuisine and quality put together with an exemplary level of attention such that all the flavours complimented one another. Such a lovely relaxed atmosphere , Brian and Glen as Sommelier and Chef are fabulous hosts and have pitched this just right. You can be there as a couple or as a group and still feel relaxed and able to both have private conversation as well as chatting to both of them about the food and drink. Can’t recommend it enough. If you enjoy and appreciate good food then you cannot miss this restaurant. Here’s to years of success , you both deserve it!

So many highlights its hard to know what to start with. First time weve tried a chefs table and wasnt sure what to expect but this was the best tasting menu weve ever had the pleasure of eating, fantastic Scottish produce prepared right in front of you, its hard to believe that there is just one chef. Both Glen and Brian compliment each other perfectly and take time to chat with everyone throughout the evening while delivering first class service. Great ambiance, decor and just the best way to spend an evening - when leaving you really dont feel youve spent 4 plus hours in their company. Couldnt really pick a favourite course as all were delicious, we rebooked before we left for home. Glen is as always, a fantastic host, gave a master class on each wine being served and just looks after you so well. Despite eating in a few of Brians previous restaurants we hadnt met him in person - he must be the calmest chef in the business ! Great to see him create these outstanding dishes right in front of you and its a certainty that there will be a Michelin star coming their way and they deserve it. Cant wait to return.

If you care even slightly about great food, service, wine and hospitality go to eòrna without question. Personally and professionally Brian and Glen are Kings among men.

What to say about eòrna? It is an incredible culinary experience - undoubtedly one of the best Ive had in my long life. It is however an expensive experience and one which some might regard as an indulgence. First off booking is essential - the restaurant has 12 or 14 places and those people are there all night from 7 till midnight. You must pay a deposit when booking. The food consists of multiple courses each one cooked or prepared before you and described by either the chef or the maitre-d. The food is amazing. We opted for the matching wines which were very very good indeed. It cost about £220 a head. Was it value for money? Certainly yes and I would go again but probably not every week!

Outstanding experience from Brian and Glen. The Belhaven smoked salmon would have to be my favourite but it’s so hard to choose from the amazing selection. The attention to detail can be seen in every aspect. I’m so glad I managed to get a seat early doors cause I know once the secret is out it will be impossible to get a seat here.

A fantastic night from start to finish, for a restaurant that's recently opened it feels like it's already got all aspects down to a fine art. Brian and Glen were fantastic hosts, you don't get that level of service anywhere. The Salmon dish will be one of those that won't be forgotten. Parties are spread out: you can have a romantic dinner for 2 or a convivial group. The food and wine are perfectly executed. This is not a place for people with food issues. You get what you are served. Special evening. Dinner lasted 7-11. Learned a-lot from chef and sommelier. Dined at the esteemed Andrew Fairley the following week. Great dinner but the overall experience in no way compared to our evening in Stockbridge at Eorna. Brilliant in every respect.

Superb dinner. Small intimate dining of max of 12 patrons sit around a lovely bar and interact with the chef and sommelier as dinner is created. Highly recommend. My husband and I did the wine pairing as well and had the most delicious French wines. Highly recommend.

Outstanding dining experience from start to finish. All the courses were excellent especially loved the Scallops and thanks to Brian for some great tips on cooking them at home. Atmosphere was relaxed and both Brian and Glen took time to speak to every diner. The courses all complemented each other. In addition I felt this was excellent value for the quality and also the time and effort Brian must put in to achieve a fabulous result. Looking forward to our return.

Was it the impeccable service, the amazing ambience or the Halibut combined with freshly sourced Truffles from San Minato. Well it was all of that and more. Each dish delighted in its own right, making you eager for what was to come next from Mr Grigor, as he calmly worked his magic in front of us. And with each plate the expertise of Mr Montgomery brought some incredible wine pairings to bring this experience up another level. If I had to pick two things, which is no easy task. Then it would be the final dish of Perthshire Strawberries and White Chocolate, as this was just an unexpected combination for me. And also being able to try the Trimbach Riesling, in addition to some incredible wines in the wine pairing. Thanks you for a gastronomy experience in an incredible intimate setting. It feels like I got to dine in a Michelin Restaurant before the stars arrived, I fully expect to see this in an upcoming Michelin Guide Book with at least one rosette next to its name.

I was lucky enough to get a seat in the newly opened eorna for dinner a couple of weeks ago and am already thinking about when I can go back! A beautiful fine dining restaurant, situated in Stockbridge with the unique offering of a 12...

This was honestly the best dining experience we've had in Edinburgh by quite a distance. We visited on 16/5 and the menu featured 6 course plus 3 'snacks', accompanied by the paired wines. Hard to pick a 'highlight' but I still think about the Belhaven Smoked salmon - quite simply the best presentation and tasting smoked salmon I've ever had. Each course was a delight, though. What's extra special about Eórna is how Brian and Glen host the meal - and how we're able to see the food being prepared and plated, hearing about the origins and qualities of what's being served. The attention to how the seating and settings are arranged really delivers an excellent experience. Whether dining alone, in pairs or in small groups, the marble bench and dining chairs and clever acoustics mean that you can comfortably enjoy your meal in this intimate, classy place. A fantastic addition to Stockbridge - we'll be back.

From the carefully curated wines and beverages, to the quality of the produce and skill on show, this was a first class performance. Can’t wait for my next visit!

I was lucky enough to get a seat in the newly opened eorna for dinner a couple of weeks ago and am already thinking about when I can go back! A beautiful fine dining restaurant, situated in Stockbridge with the unique offering of a 12 seated table and an exquisite menu. Brian's food it simply outstanding, beautiful to look at and even better to eat! From the first canape of a Mull cheddar tart with quince jelly to the final strawberry and white chocolate 'tulip', every bite was simply stunning. And what a treat it is to see it being prepared and plated in front of you and delivered by Brian and Glen with an explanation of each course. This was paired with beautiful wine, which was delivered by Glen the Sommelier, which matched each course to perfection. A luxurious and perfect meal, cannot recommend highly enough. Book now, you will not be disappointed!

Happy to have shared a wonderful bespoke solo dining experience on the 16th June 2023 of this quality, so recently after its opening and so charmingly local. A full house in terms of stars for the concept, knowledge, conviviality and to be one of a dozen as an individual, who enjoyed the menu with the option of creating my own pairing of cocktails and wine....thank you.

As someone for whom a big restaurant spend is reserved for very special occasions, I was blown away by this experience. Over the course of a surprisingly relaxing few hours, you're catered for in a warm and intimate way by two people who are clearly at the top of their respective games. The food was exceptional - deceptively simple but with layers of complementary flavours, made with some of the best produce I've tasted (the salmon!). The big surprise was the paired wines, which I wouldn't normally opt for (they aren't cheap) but they were so expertly presented and explained and paired that I would have been gutted if I'd chosen a different option. Like I say, EXPENSIVE. But this is an accessible and warm experience that's absolutely worth splashing out for.
