The best restaurants serving Fast food food in England

A big disappointment really! We used to love coming here for the good service and fish & chips they have. We went today because we wanted to treat our family to the delicious fish and chips we have been raving about the last couple of years. However, as we entered the shop, and placed our order, I was shocked that a senior fish and chips costed more than a standard fish and chips (for a smaller portion). We were then told the shop is under new management. I raised the issue with the person behind the till, and said this doesn't make sense.. So they kindly refunded the order and we ordered all as their £6.99 offer, which we have had for the last couple of years. We were expecting the same result this time, But as we opened our boxes, it was apparent things were different… The chips and fish were soggy, there was too much oil in the takeaway boxes. Chips clearly soaked in oil and a shrivelled up battered fish. A huge disappointment. Photo 1 is the fish and chip offer £6.99 dated 8th March 2025. Photo2 is the fish and chip offer £6.99 dated early January 2025. We don’t intend to come back ever again.

Nice people, nice city, best kebab

Ordered through Justeat but it was the service that was horrendous so leaving my review here. Ordered salt and pepper potatoes - didn't receive Katsu chicken pieces with pot of sauce - received one lump of bits of chicken coveted in sauce Apple pie x2 with caramel sauce - no sauce. I rang the restaurant to ask what happened, laughter behind the phone, 'I didn't pack it' then 'we don't have any potatoes so we sent you chicken pieces instead' If you come into the restaurant tomorrow, we will give you a refund...is it not the point of ordering online so you don't need to go into a restaurant. I am vegetarian so how is giving chicken a replacement for potatoes. My friend didn't eat either chickens, very greasy she said. Won't be ordering again and hoping justeat give me my money back. Delivery and service charge obviously not refundable though.

We visited for afternoon Tea following receiving a voucher for Christmas, the afternoon tea was very good, there was items within it we wouldn’t eat but they were accommodating and exchanged them which was very lovely

Lovely chip shop. Well set out and run. Fast efficient and good quality great value food. Well worth the trip to Wadebridge.

Today we decided to take Subway for the first time in Arndale, which is located near Aldi. We have already eaten in this chain and know that there is a menu for £ 3.99, which includes a snack and a drink with a sandwich. Throughout the service we asked what is included and what is not included in this sandwich to get the menu for £ 3.99. We asked the staff what we can include and agreed on all the ingredients, because there are no self-service screens there. But at the checkout we overpaid twice, because our order was not correct, although we agreed on each ingredient with the staff. It was the worst experience and I do not recommend anyone to eat here, because you will be deceived and you will overpay. We are hungry, because this food was not enough. Not satisfied, because for this money it was possible to eat in another restaurant. This was our last visit, we will never return, and we will also tell all our friends and acquaintances about this terrible experience.

I recently bought food from here, but unfortunately, the packaging was very poor. While carrying it, the cover tore, and I ended up dropping my food. It was a complete waste of money and a frustrating experience. I hope they improve their packaging to prevent this from happening to others.

Acabo de comer un trozo de pescado para llevar y honestamente puedo decir que fue el peor trozo de pescado que he tenido, así que cocinado demasiado que ni siquiera pude comerlo. Era totalmente comestible. Si hubiera vivido en el lugar, lo habría devuelto. No iré allí de nuevo.

recently visited Lakers Chicken on Romford Road and was thoroughly impressed. The food was exceptional—fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The burgers were incredibly tasty, juicy, and packed with great seasoning. The chicken was crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, just how it should be! The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff who made the experience even better. The takeaway was clean, well-maintained, and had a welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend Lakers Chicken to anyone looking for top-quality chicken and delicious burgers. Definitely a five-star experience!”

Love this place, I travel 20 miles every month from Manchester and it’s so worth it. All the food is always fresh and delicious, the donner’s amazing and you have to try the roast chicken with the sauce ❤️

Best Kebab in town fresh everyday friendly staff deliverd straight to your door as you like it HOT!!!
