Slap & Pickle Burgers in Leeds

Five of us had variety of burgers. All great. Particularly enjoyed the hot chill one. Chips seemed home made too. Nice atmosphere and lovely friendly staff.

We’ve used slap and pickle for years and they’ve been amazing until now, the chicken burger had 3 tiny tenders in it and it was 12 quid, onion rings but there was only 5 rings, other food we ordered was ok but everything was clap cold. It’s definitely gone down hill and the price does not reflect the quality. I think this is last time I would order from them.

Wow! Just how low can a food outlet stoop!? Absoloute disgracefull misrepresentation of cheap nasty overpriced burgers purporting to be quality 40 day dry aged grass fed swaledale beef. Even if thats true the alleged 3.5oz beef patties are smashed so thin theres nothing left in texture and flavour. My wife ordered the "Baconator" wth? Bacon? See the pictures. The images of all the burgers on their website again are a gross misrepresentation of the food we actually recieved. Given that we live within a mile from the "Kings Arms" where this "food" came from and the fact it took an hour to arrive (btw a very nice friendly delivery guy) you would expect it to be hot, not so. We have eaten in "Byron" for similar money but drinks included and a restaurant atmosphere ( not take away) far superior to your food. I could go on but frankly you people are not worth my time. The food industry is a tough gig admitedly and has taken a huge hit due to the covid farce, you have only exasperated this by overpricing sub standard food. Clearly you are struggling as an "honest" business and its only a matter of time before your dismal reviews cripple your business. Here's hoping!

Went for lunch with my friend. He had the deep fried pickles, I had the Hey Hot Stuff burger. We got a sharing portion of the vegan duck fries. The food was reasonably priced and came promptly. All of it was very tasty, I would especially recommend the vegan duck fries – they were incredible. Even if you’re not a vegan!

Second terrible experience at slap & pickle assembly underground. Last time we came, our order took over an hour to arrive and the worst part was that we saw it on the pass, questioned it with the owner and still waited another 30 minutes for the same order to be delivered to us. We put it down to a bad night and thought we would give you another go this evening, we waited over 90 minutes for the food, having been given no idea of waiting times upon order, then my fiancés burger was burnt to a crisp. The staff were working flat out and this review is not a criticism of them. Slap and pickle need to stop doing take-away and focus on their customers in assembly underground. We won’t be eating here again which is a real shame we we used to really enjoy S&P food.

We ordered two burgers from the vegan menu and were shocked when they arrived there were no fries included. Maybe this was our mistake, but we assumed at £12 a burger they would obviously come with fries included! This seems extortionate for a vegan Pattie!

Found the service very poor waited for 2 burgers for 45mins which never arrived even After asking twice about the order in the end I cancelled my order and asked for a refund. I was s told 48hrs before the money would be in my account now 16 days after our visit and no refund given after numerous emails. We won't be visiting this place again I wouldn't recommend visiting.

Working nearby, so went for a walk and stopped here for a meal on my own. A busy place and lots of people waiting for food, so a good sign. The food was said to be a 40 mins wait, so I waited happily for that. The food was good when it came rather than great. Staff were friendly, but that alone isn’t enough to make me go back…….

We ordered as a family. All got three different meals, (the whole nine yards, loaded chilli fries, baconator, hey hot stuff) they were all amazing, super tasty and VERY filling (I had 9yards / chilli fries) super full. Price is a little high but other than that really good!

Seriously this is/was the best burger I’ve ever ever eaten😋 at the grand old age of 44 I’ve eaten a fair few . The flavour and texture were second to none. Beefy and a beautiful charred taste. 1st time I’ve used these guys for my food and I will now be a regular user and recommend to all my mates. Thanks again completely happy and in burger heaven xxx

Delivery was smooth and on time via Uber. The burger was delicious. The chips were nice but cool quickly. Overall I was happy with this purchase as I got £15 worth of food free. I also received free delivery as my order shared delivery with another nearby customer.

Distinctly average. Paid £19 on Uber eats for a burger, small chips and fizzy can. I actually got a refund off Uber because the chips came stone cold and hard. And whilst the burger was fairly tasty, as other reviewers state it was very small. The whole meal was gone in under 5 minutes The most I would pay for all this is maybe around £6/7. £19 is a big stretch from this establishment.

I’m not a big burger fan at all, I can take or leave it. Another lockdown weekend so decided we would get a takeaway. For once decided on burgers which I don’t think I’ve ever done. Ordered for collection, received a message to come and collect at 20:40 and waited outside for 45 minutes. Chips have been sitting there as long as the building. Will never order again.
