I am Döner in Leeds

Dreadful kebabs served in a dreadful doughy, wet underbaked naan style wrap. Avoid if possible it was not good.

The flavour of I Am Doner is no where near where it used to be a couple of years ago. It used to be my go-to Fat Friday lunch, but it’s just gone downhill. Not worth the calories. Fries stone cold. Not enough sauce in the wrap. Just doughy bread with tonnes of salt. Meh.

This place used to be great but more often than not these days it’s terrible. You can get a better kebab from a cheap high street takeaway. I’ve just spent a small fortune on a cold, soggy, tasteless parcel of nonsense for the last time!

Most the food didn't turn up, didn't answer phone when I called about it twice

I have been waiting an hour and a half for my delivery, and it turns out there's no way to contact them. They are not picking up their phone or answering Facebook messenger. I will give up and hope I get my money back

Food was delivered after 2 hours when delivery time was 30-45 minutes. Tried cancelling the order after an hour but was unable to get through on phone and fb

Not as good as previous orders of same thing and it was cold we had to re heat in oven.

Really gone downhill. The food used to burst with flavour and this time round it was so plain, low quality, the bread was dry and we definitely got given yesterday's chips! Such a shame as we used to love the food from I am doner but sadly won't be ordering again

We used to love i am doner,we drive half an hours just to get a donner from here, well not anymore...wraps nit good, doner bad, buttermilk chicken and fries overcoocked, rice no taste and rice bowl had basically noting in it except rice and carrots. £32 to pay for this food...last time i guess..

I ordered CHICKEN SHAWARMA + DONER RICE BOWL KETCHUP, GARLIC MAYO but only got donner no chicken shawara

Food was very tasty but also completely cold (had to reheat). Milkshake wasn’t very nice - very watery

No seguro. Horrenda experiencia en la tienda callejera de la enfermería, el guardia de seguridad que dijo que también era el propietario... Creó una situación tensa al ponerse en la cara de un hombre que estaba haciendo cola. El varón pidió al guardia algún espacio al que se celebrara un acalorado debate y se le pidió que se fuera. No es lo que esperas cuando quieres un aperitivo de noche.

Nice quantity of donner and good service

I Am Doner es una de mis comidas favoritas, pero desafortunadamente tuvimos un problema anoche con una entrega de Uber Eats que nunca llegó! A pesar de no llamar ni llamar, recibimos una notificación de entrega con una foto aleatoria del aparcamiento a pocos pasos del piso de mi pareja. Comunicarse con el servicio de atención al cliente de Uber Eats no tenía sentido; afirmaron que el conductor esperó y llamó, pero no proporcionaron pruebas. Cuatro operadores diferentes repitieron esta postura y terminaron los chats abruptamente. ¡I Am Doner es genial, pero Uber Eats debe evitarse!

Very tasty kebab but all the food was freezing cold - all had to be reheated. One of the sides we ordered was incorrect and the side of doner was 4 slices and cost £5 - would have expected more than double the quantity for the price

Food was cold, donner was burned and felt like rubber. I have order before and the food was fresh , hot and very tasty. Very disappointed

ordered a kabab for my mum as she's no good with technology. said delivered at 20 past 8 and was recieving calls after that time which tells me the driver couldn't find the address. mum didn't have her food delivered to her address, I suspect it got delivered to another address with an almost identical name or the driver just marked as delivered when it wasn't. paid £16 for nothing. full refund please

Edit: have you changed the sharwarma chicken? They are massive pieces and different spices from usual. Not a big fan at all. The meal deal is not stating that the portion of fries is half the size - so not a meal deal at all? Same for £5 lunch kebab offer, it's a different version than the full price. Please make it clearer. Previous review: Overall I love the food, and I am a "little" addicted. But I find that it's sometimes hit and miss: whether the bread is too thick compared to usual, or not enough sauce, ready 10min before collection time so cold when picked up, sometimes very late, etc etc. Despite all this, I always come back but would be happy if my feedback is considered :)

Although I didn't get exactly what I ordered (I ordered shawarma and doner street fries but it came without any shawarma) the portion size was good and it was very tasty

Not what it used to be. Bread soggy, kebab meat dry and crisps in a kebab. Odd. Shame used to be the best in Leeds but miles off the mark now

Un grupo de 6 de nosotros pedimos comida anoche. 6 de nosotros pedimos comida de I Am Doner a través de UberEats. Solo 2 de las 3 bolsas fueron entregadas. Conduje 15 minutos para recoger los kebabs reales que pedimos. El conductor de UberEats dijo que esto estaba en el restaurante. Llamamos para aclarar, no fueron capaces de dar ninguna explicación real de por qué solo 2 de las 3 bolsas fueron enviadas. Pedimos 2 batidos, un chocolate normal y un batido vegano de oreo. Eran visiblemente indistinguibles y he tenido malestar estomacal todo el día, así que no creo que el batido vegano fuera lácteo, libre. Sin pegatina, sin etiqueta, sin escritura, solo 2 batidos casi idénticos con diferentes alérgenos. Así que nuestra entrega solo contenía 2 batidos y algunas porciones de papas fritas. Hice el resto del trabajo yendo a buscar el resto de la comida. UberEats concedió un reembolso del 50 %. Así que, básicamente, si quieres arriesgarte a recibir solo 2/3 rds de tu pedido, te recomendaría I Am Doner. Si quieres arriesgarte a beber un batido no lácteo porque no se les puede poner el culo etiquetando nada correctamente, te recomendaría I Am Doner. Si quieres evitar el proceso de quejas de su sitio web, que te da como un límite de 100 caracteres para dejar comentarios, te recomendaría I Am Doner. Tan poco impresionado para ser honesto. Masiva pérdida de tiempo y dinero.

Standards have dropped significantly, used to be the best bab in Leeds but it's about 80% soggy bread these days. Looks like they spent too much money on branding and ipad ordering at the cost of quality ingredients and staff.

Gone downhill. Pita breads now just tortilla wraps. Hardly any meat, no halloumi or chicken in my mixed special which was supposed to have chicken Donner halloumi and falafel. Bang average

First time we've ordered from I Am Donner and if we order again we'll make very different choices. The food was tasty and it's clear the quality is high but...it was close to lukewarm (not our fault) AND loaded fries don't travel well (our fault).

Portions were tiny and chicken shawarma was burnt and dry. Would avoid and go elsewhere.

Bland , very expensive, lack of meat and no sauces were delivered also. Chips were also soggy. Not acceptable for such high prices!

Salí con amigos. Este lugar está a unos 300 metros de mi casa en Woolton. Liverpool. Fui allí en lugar de pedir en deliveryoo, etc. £ 16, 47 para un kebab frío que, por el precio, era una estafa completa. Pequeña porción después de ver al servidor solo usar sus manos, sin utensilios. Evite, porquería comida sobrevalorada.

Used to be good about 5 years ago when they first launched in Harrogate and Headingley but their quality has dropped big time. Haloumi has been burnt the last 4 orders, the doner also incredibly dry and recently they’ve completely changed the sauce options to typical boring mayo, chili, and garlic mayo. All the way to Dubai and now they can’t sustain the quality of the past. Shame

Really bad not happy with their wrap and doner salad box. I spent nearly £30 and got 2 wrap with full of salad and very less donner. It’s just like eating pita bread with Mayo. My salad box was very bad they put cold fires in bottom then very less donner and salad and one small piece of grilled Halloumi. Not happy with wraps and salad box. I wish I could check their reviews first then order. 100% agreed with other ppls reviews. Not recommended

Forgot to take a photo but chips were on point but needed some more salt. Oreo Milkshake, I can't fault it, really good consistency and flavour. But the chicken wrap was disappointing. The bread is too thick and the wrap contents were all bunched up rather than spread evenly. The chicken itself in the wrap wasn't the best, didn't taste fresh and there wasn't that much of it. Came here a few years ago and was really impressed but for £17 I couldn't help but feel like the wrap was disappointing :/ hence the two stars. Sorry guys :(

Gone downhill. When it first opened the quality and service was excellent. They now regularly get orders wrong and service is less than friendly. Quality of the food has also sadly gone down as well.

Honestly I used to be costumer of this place and they just lowered the quality of the product terribly you order a large kebab and they give you a small bread with extra kebab that don't even close properly and they not even spending money on putting the drinks on a separate bag and everything gets wet, cold get here food and now having stomach ache, will take me a while till I try this again.

Smaller portion than normal, not up to the usual standard you get from I am Doner - usually a good size salad but box 1/4-1/3 empty so quite a bit of white space, not very filling either and it usually is. Shame.

Absolute disgraceful attitude from the staff. Ran out of bread supposedly at 9:50 despite serving food until 2AM. Other customers suffered the same fate. A real shame as the food is actually very good.

Awful… what was served is nothing like any kebab I have ever had.. very little meat, no flavour and bread was like chewing rubber.. such a disappointment

I ordered a gf falafel Döner with halloumi as extra. I got one piece of halloumi and the gf 'wrap' was dry and in pieces. Impossible to eat. If you can't make GF, don't advertise it, let a lone charge extra.

Tbh I’ve never had a bad kebab of these guys. Always steady.

The place was filthy,sticky worktops dirty floors and the food terrible Even the pads what you order your food from was all dirty, hand prints all over and this was at 5 o’clock No excuses never again first and last time🙈

I have been going since it opened, a 20 mile round trip and it was outstanding!! However the last 3 times I have been the food was very poor. Hardly any meat in the 4 donners I ordered and wilted salad and overcooked burnt meat. Such a shame as these kebabs were the best in Yorkshire, now a £3.50 kebab from some back street hovel is on parr with this place now It will take some doing to get me back in especially at £10 a kebab!

The original delivery time was 45 mins to 1 hour. It was finally delivered over 2 and a half hours. The wrap was nice, nothing exceptional, but the small portion of chips were cold and stale. I live less than 10 minutes drive from the restaurant. Genuinely not ordering again and would recommend anyone that's actually hungry find alternatives.

Whoever collected my order was not me also when ordered I asked for delivery so who knows it remains anonymous but they kept my money

Ordered this from deliveroo, waited half an hour, they then cancelled and this was after other places have closed, meaning we miss out on that nights choice of food. Didn't receive any sort of compensation.

Food delivered almost hour too late. Would order somewhere else if I knew. Just Eat App would not let choose any different than "5 minutes late" when reviewing the order.

The Donner meat was black and charred, was like eating charcoal almost genuinely. Had lots of good meals from here before but this one shouldnt have been sent

Haven’t been for ages. Walked into the Leeds centre branch the other day then walked out again when I saw the machines to order on instead of a welcoming counter with actual human beings. However my partner fetched us a couple of vegan doners tonight from Headingley when we needed something quick. The doners were nice but nothing spectacular. They were filling but not huge. I was absolutely gobsmacked when he told me they cost £10 each! £20 on what are essentially two wraps!!!!!! We can get an entire Chinese takeaway for a similar price or 2 curries with rice. Won’t go again I’m afraid as it is way overpriced
