Mama Mia in Leeds - Phone Number, Reservations, Reviews

We don't live local but for a treat, we occasionally use Mama Mia & have done for about 30yrs. We went yesterday. We phoned the order through. When we went to collect, the order had been taken incorrectly over the phone (we live 30mins away) but they didn't take our number/contact us. We then had to reorder but wait for food to be made. When we got home, the garlic bread was so salty but all you could taste was oregano!! Bur that was marginally better than the pizzas. The chunks of garlic on the pizza was really overpowering (I love garlic!!) and the bases were all burnt!! So sad/disappointed 😔

Very friendly staff, food ready on time. Meal was wonderful, hot and tasty and at a good price. Definitely will be back

Di un suspiro de alivio cuando el puesto abierto de Mama Mia se cerró. Simplemente, no hay nada que se le iguale en Leeds. He estado comprando pizza aquí desde los años 80, cuando no se podía conseguir una pizza adecuada en Leeds. Ahora que puedes, este lugar sigue ganando a todos. No hay estrategia de marketing ni cambios de menú, no es necesario. Es simplemente una pizza fantástica, ingredientes de calidad y buen servicio.

Muy extraña forma de operar.  1. Los horarios de apertura son anunciados hasta las 5 pm - 11 pm. Sin embargo, a menudo, si los llamas a las 10:30, no contestarán. Si por casualidad lo hacen, dirán que ahora se están cerrando. Es como si no quisieran el dinero?  2. Regularmente los llamas y te dicen "no vamos a entregar esta noche". Por qué no? O entregas o no lo haces. No es una gran experiencia para el cliente.  3. Recientemente los llamé hace un mes para una entrega. El tipo que contestó el teléfono simplemente dijo "ya no hacemos entregas". Pregunté si esto era solo esta noche, y él dijo "no, la tienda los ha detenido por completo". Si no hacen las entregas, entonces, ¿por qué todavía lo anuncian en el sitio web?  4. La mayoría de los platos de pasta (lasaña, etc.) anunciados en el sitio web. / menú el ya no se vende Es una verdadera pena, ya que solía disfrutar de la pizza desde aquí, y daré 3 estrellas por eso. Un ejemplo clásico de un negocio anteriormente bueno que va mal, debido a la falta de enfoque de los propietarios / personal.

In advance of a football match, we visited the nearest (?) possible place to have a decent meal. Staff was friendly and quick. Nice atmosphere, lovely music in the background. But the food.....: best part of the night! Pasta, fish, pizza, all was tastefull and in good portions. Good place to go before a late Bradford match.

We called in here as Harpos has stopped doing Calzone specials, and Mama Mia does one t the same recipe. Parking I a difficulty here, a bus stop right outside and cars already parked on the other side of the road. As there was a truck unloading on the bus stop already I parked behind it. The shop opens straight onto the pavement, and having the door open for ventilation allows leaves and dust and bits of litter to blow in, not a promising start. We ordered a Calzone special and a half and half pepperoni and Toscana with a bag of fries. You pay more for a half and half, I guess the argument is that it takes more effort, but of feels like a way of taking extra money of a customer. I was disappointed when I saw the food being boxed to see the next action was to put them on top of the oven and start the fries going. Why had they been started already??? Then fries were salted with us being asked if we wanted salt on our fires. My Calzone was overdone, with a number of blackened areas of the top. Pizza was OK. It was also more expensive and smaller that a Harpos. The Leeds Scores on the doors was on display showing 5 stars, but this was from 2013. A more recent rating is 4 stars, Poor practice showing an out of date rating. Overall not a good experience

This used to be the place to go. Visited for the first time in a long time and it’s just not what it used to be. Cheap ingredients, rubbery pizza base and flavourless cheese. The prices weren’t bad but won’t be back again. Disappointed.

Worst burger and chips ever and that after a few drinks.😳can you imagine what it would taste like if I was 100% sober.bad food!!,looks like the owner has lost his passion for decent pizza.shameful pizza not even cooked properly!!...just bcos it’s in chapallerton doesn’t automatically qualify for good food.if you want a good pizza go to the woods!!!#from a local ✌🏼😑✌🏼

We have been there 3 times in the last 2 weeks and been kicking ourselves that we haven’t been sooner! Consistently tasty pizza and the calzones are huge.

Mama Mia's pizza is really one of the best you will have. The toppings are plentiful without being over the top and the crispy bases are cooked to perfection. You'll not find any chewy doughy bases here. I've been coming to Mama Mia's for years and the standards are always impeccably high and they are really welcoming and will cook almost anything you ask for and don't have any issues adding or removing toppings. Their cheesy chips are also top quality and have loads of cheese on. Would highly highly recommend you try this gem in North Leeds.

I always enjoy visits to Leeds Grand, it's a beautiful old theatre. The theatre frontage had been draped in blue , I think to give it a sea, Greek theme? We ordered a drink for interval. One thing I don't like , but understand is that glasses and glass bottles are not allowed in the auditorium. So the lovely bottle of prosecco had to be decanted into a flimsy thin plain plastic tumbler. The show was great and we all knew the plot and all the songs so plenty of joining in and waving of hands . Live music makes all the difference, I appreciated that. It was a full house and it seemed like the evening was enjoyed by all. I even bought the t shirt .

Always really nice food the nicest pizza we have found in Pontefract. They offer a collection service however have been disappointed that they have been produced in only tin foil and a basket to take them home in, the tin foil sticks to the pizza and obviously isn't great at keeping the food warm so when you get home they are cold. Suggest the look into pizza boxes

Been coming here years! my parents used to get this when i was a kid and i've grown up having this as my number 1 takeaway. However recently i've encountered a really abrupt and cant be ars3d attitude girl on the phone. Front end customer service needs sorting out but other then that the food is still as good as it was 20 years ago!

My family and I bought a takeaway from here years ago and it was poor so we didn't go back. Tonight we gave it another try and I can honestly say it's worse. Without doubt the worst food I've ever had (and I've eaten Army rations for years). The parmo was thin and greasy, the chips tasted vile (as if the cooking fat needed changing) the salad was mostly onion. The lot went in the bin and we went elsewhere. Never ever will I go there again!

Had a pizza last week as my brilliant other half forgot to turn on the slow cooker! Ready in 15 mins. Al Capone pizza. To die for!!

Amazing pizza from here. Reasonably priced. They also deliver wine!!! Lovely staff and huge pizzas :)

Very disappointing.gone downhill recently and the final straw was to discover the pepperoni was off.it was sour and disgusting.will most certainly not be visiting here again!

The problem now with mama mias, is the inconsistency of their pizzas; I was a regular for a long time , but now find that ,depending on the day, the pizzas range from excellent , to just average/OK; they were ,without fail ,the best in Leeds, and I mean THE BEST , but somethings changed; the quality of the ingredients or dough ,or the chefs,or both,they are definitely not as good anymore -Its unfortunate because on the right day ,they still hit the wow factor(but not often enough), and I have often thought of expressing this to the delightful young woman on the counter, but I havent --its a puzzle really--???

Bought a MamaMia Special Pizza last week and the ham pieces had load of grizzly fatty bits in spoiled my meal threw it in the bin thats after my daughter cut the crust off and ate it. Dont know if they have changed the ham but its poor quality.

Best Pizzas around - very cheap and taste great. Don't bother going to the big brands they just contain millions of cals

Ordered spaghetti bold and half pound burger supreme was the worst burger ever bought there was nothing supreme about it rang up and got.abuse back from staff. the staff are the biggest let down to his business at moment arguing with clients over ill prepared food was the worst burger for years no effort in making it a supreme burger should have cheese fried.onions plenty.of salad what we got was 1000 island burger with very little sauce no salad as such apart.from limp lettuce after ringing back all we got was a gob full from staff. It used to be amazing mama Mia is now woeful.. Go boss burger, harps or Chicago pizza or even pub but avoid wasting money ya money on burger that looks like someone would serve you outside a nightclub from a wagon where they used to piss in water to keep warm piss poor service

I have been getting pizza takeaway from this place for well over 20 years (now I feel old). This weekend I called and the voice message said they were closed for two weeks for holidays. Disappointed I started looking at other places and I have to say that it is true that you don't realise just how good something was or is until you can't have it! In terms of quality, price and flavour you can't beat it. Oh and the Calzone's are brilliant! Pasta is good, burgers are not bad but for Pizza you have to try this place.

A reliable and consistent steadfast standby whenever you are in need of a pizza fix to take home. This zingy little outlet is worth a stop and has been churning out very good pizzas now for a number of years. The list of variants on the menu goes on and on- you are certain to find something you like. If you're really hard to please they will create your own to order. All fresh baked and tasty they are served piping hot or will be kept heated for you to collect later. An all round GOOD THING to have in the neighbourhood and an asset to the local community and passing traveller. Sited on the main Harrogate Road parking is on the roadside and the service pretty quick and eager. They may not be the most sophisticated or elegant but they sure taste good when you're hungry. Give them a try for a family take out or a party, they won't let you down.
