Pound Bakery Frodsham Street in Cheshire West and Chester

My twin brother and I were pub hopping around this part of the city when we decided to drop by Poundbakery for a quick bite to eat, our visit was very positive. A decent enough Poundbakery, neat and tidy, glass fronted serving counters showcase the goodies on offer and the staff here are absolutely fantastic. We ordered cheese slices ,these were absolutely delicious, so tasty, just what we needed to set us up for a good few hours, its hardly surprising that this Poundbakery is so popular, its easy to locate along Frodsham Street. Opening hours are; Monday to Saturday, 8am till 5pm. Sunday, 11am till 4pm. Well worth checking out if you're in the area.

Cuando le preguntaron al miembro del personal que servía si los pasteles estaban listos mientras cocinaban en el horno, pude verlos a través de la puerta de vidrio del horno, ella no respondió, solo se dio vuelta, sacó la bandeja del horno, los sondó, colocó la bandeja en el mostrador, puso dos de ellos en bolsas, puso bolsas en el mostrador, recogió mi moneda, le dije gracias y ella no dijo nada en absoluto, simplemente se veía muy miserable como lo hizo con el cliente antes que yo. Para colmo, cuando sacó los pasteles del horno, ¡la sonda estaba en el mostrador junto con un paño de horno de aspecto sucio y también un cepillo de un recipiente para polvo y un cepillo! Lo que esto estaba haciendo en el mostrador no lo sé. Muy mala higiene. Lo único bueno fue que al menos los pasties fueron investigados. Lo siento, pero no regresaré hasta que se revise la capacitación en relaciones personalizadas y también se revisen los estándares de higiene. Estuve allí el 8 de octubre aproximadamente el 2. 20 pm

Precios geniales que todos pueden pagar. Los pasteles y tortas son deliciosos y 1. 00 0 r menos. Vale la pena una visita si tienes hambre.

¡Por el precio que pague podría ir a cucharas de sopa locales, una comida más grande por el mismo precio! Huevo sobre cocido, salchichas y tocino parece recalentado. . . . . ¡Incluso mi niño de 4 años no comía la salchicha debido a la dura afuera! . . . . . Nos dio una taza de té, pero dejó la tarjeta poco envuelto alrededor de la bolsa de té en el agua! ¡La persona que sirve sacó una cara cuando se le pidió una nueva con la tarjeta fuera del agua! !

Ordered what was suppose to be a meal Ham egg and chips Chips where frozen Egg yolks looked like they had been through a mangle And ham was slimy And the was a member of staff who I thought she was shouting though a mega phone 🗣🗣 I left hungry and with a headache

While in Chester, I got a bit peckish, so Icalled at the pound bakery, got 2 sausage rolls for a pound, very cheap for a snack, not the best tasting, but what do you expect for a pound. The shop was very busy, be it racegoers were getting cheap eats, instead of paying more at the race course.

Stumbled across this VFM Bakery during a walk around the City Walls, and was fortunate to enjoy my lunch with a lovely view over the river. Worth a visit!

Stopped off here for two traditional pasties. They were much better than the local pasties I buy. Great service, get them before they sell out.

Always love a snack from here. Very cheap at 2 for £1 and the cakes selection I's good too. However sometimes the pastries can be too hot or too cold. The staff could do with a bit of training in customer service. However the branch is in a great location with plenty of choice eat in or take away.

Ate in the restaurant. Excellent and friendly service. Very tasty food.Relatively busy and reasonable prices.

Good enough for what you pay. I wouldn't eat any of the pies once they have gone cold as they get very greasy. Mince pies recommended.

2 items for a pound am I in heaven. Im glad I dont have a pound bakery in australia as I wiuld not fot in the doorway to get in or out after a week. So good and yum was just what i needed on this visit to chester this time.

Took the family for lunch this week fantastic service and such friendly staff that look Like they enjoy there job thank you for meals will be certainly retuning

I have been many times to pound bakery in the past I love it cheap and nice staff. But when you want a nice sit down in a relaxing cafe I choose here. But when you go at 1:30 and find out the cafe is shut it's appauling you don't expect that from any cafe I would have loved to go in If it was open I'm not happy

Adore the cheese on toast. Friendly and helpful staff and good prices. Could say it's cheap and cheerful. Would go there again for a handy quick lunch

Ended up here because the cafes were too busy... Sausage roll and a pasty that tastes great for a pound ... How can you go wrong?

Great idea,lovely food,affordable to all,always clean,nice staff.Drinks,hot or cold food.I look for this shop when I'm in a hurry to eat,taking a snack home,for picnics.Good choice and variety.

You get what you pay for.....OK for a quick bite if your not fussy. We noticed quite a few dotted around Chester

It annoys me when people moan about cheaper places. 2 sausage rolls for a pound, bargain. It says what it is and does on the sign. It's not gourmet but feeds that hunger when you're starving! It's in a good location, they've got a good range of food and drinks. If you wanna feed a few people for cheap, then this is the place to go!

Pound Bakery seems to divide opinion, people either love it or hate it. Personally I love it, well maybe it would be more accurate to say I quite like it. Where else, especially in Chester, can you get a filled baguette or a couple of pasties for a quid. I'll tell you where.....either of the other branches of Pound Bakery in The Forum or on Bridge Street. But nowhere else!

This is a small Pound Bakery takeaway that shares a premises with a Sayers Cafe. We opted for sausage rolls to go from Pound Bakery which were fine and excellent value for money at two for a quid.
