Don't get large chips. They cost 3.60 and you get the same as a small portion of chips in every other chippy.

My wife and I have just had another superb, excellent take out from this great fish bar. I had chicken, bamboo shoots with water chestnuts ( which aren't actually on the menu but when asked they added them and I wasn't disappointed ). My wife had sweet & sour chicken, chips and rice.The portions are really generous. My wife made two meals from hers but I had to finish mine because it was so delicious.

Almost £4 for a regular chips and they have no taste and are awful. Wouldn’t go here again.

The fish and chips are top drawer.The curry sauce makes it.

Chicken chow mein with no chicken! Make your own mind up. Update - Ordered another takeaway tonight. Chicken in the chicken curry was really rubbery. Place seems to be going downhill. This place used to be amazing. Shame

I've been here a few times but tonight was awful. The young girl there was doing her best and the guy couldn't organise a teddy bears picnic. We were literally in there for 45 minutes, bar stuff already cooked behind the glass, we only ordered an Omelette that needed cooking, other people were complaining as well, and it's no surprise that half of our food was cold by the time we got back (less than 3 minutes drive to our house). I summary, food is normally very good but some staff attitude is bad and even if there isn't a queue out the door, it might feel like there was by the time you get served. Consider somewhere else if possible.

Old school chippy - great for a Friday night chippy tea. Good tasting fish - not greasy and the chips taste great too. Friendly staff and nearly always a bit of a queue (which is a good sign that the food is good!) I can’t really comment on the other dishes (Chinese & Greek food), but the menu looks varied and reasonably priced. Would recommend!

Great chippy never have a problem, down side very very busy i suppose that says it all wouldnt be busy if it wasnt good.

Despite stating 9pm closure the shutters were down at 8:35pm, this happens every single night as the staff just wrap up when they feel like it. This chip shop was previously open until 10pm, they are still using Covid as an excuse to reduce its opening hours.

I personally love this takeaway, fish is delicious, Gyros Kebab is very tasty. Love the fruity curry.

Mix up with the food, he couldn't understand the wife so missed her meal out, the guy had a really bad attitude/ confrontational and the lady made a point of saying it's been a long day and its getting longer by the minute to the customer behind us - a jibe at us. Nice food but the staff has let it down and will not be returning

Food was good .Went on Sunday was charged £10.60 by the younger woman in the shop for fish chips and curry . Wasn't till I got home I realized that I had been over charged .The girl herself not very friendly at all.Needs personality lessons and needs to learn how to smile such a miserable person

Chicken Kebab was horrible. If you like your chicken kebabs..... 1 - Barely edible due to the amount of fat/flabby skin & cartlidge/gristle. 2 - Tasting like a packet of chicken crisps due to the overpowering herb flavour. 3 - In a pitta thats so dry it falls apart when you so much as look at it. 4 - In small portion sizes. 5 - Beige in colour with no charring or nice caramelised bits. 6 - Costing so much you feel ripped off (£6.50). 7 - With a 'regular' portion of chips costing £2.20 which equates to a small trays worth. .....then this is the place for you! Such a shame as this was my go-to place for this kind of chicken kebab. The chicken used to be moist, well cooked, well trimmed, seasoned/spiced correctly and of an acceptable portion size. Seems like they've changed the chicken kebeb they buy in to an inferior one, probably to maximise their profits and the quality has suffered accordingly. I had a little pile of inedible bits left when I'd finished picking my way through it. This was my last visit to this chippy unfortunately, there's a lot better options in Ellesmere Port.

Food is lovely, staff are rude ! People was waiting over 25 minutes for fish chips & curry sauce.

This chippy was one of the best in Ellesmere port but I must say that its let its self down the girls in there work hard but the guy who thinks he is the manager is very rude no people skills bullying the staff food is average afford really really bad attitude go somewhere else seriously

Had fish and chips a couple of months ago and again today. Fish lovely crisp batter and tasty but the chips were, on both occasions, dreadful very dry tasted like cardboard-cannot understand it they always used to be good. What is going on with the chips? Both recent occasions I purchased them at 4.30pm when they just opened -are the chips leftover from lunch and just being re-heated?? Clearly something had changed!

Wow. Brilliant chippy, great tasting food. Hallumi fries with fresh salad. Salt and pepper chips. That's my favourite.

Not impressed at all. I've just paid £4.80 for a tray of chips, peas and gravy!! Wasn't even a decent size portion either. I was too tired and hungry after a ten hour day at work to question it. Will NOT he going there again.....five quid!!! 😳

Been plenty of times here, thinking the mistakes they make to my order would be a one off. But no, several times we've ordered, even after going through the order before I leave they still manage to get it wrong.

Absolutely disgusted with the way me and my partner was spoken to tonight by the woman behind the counter with dark hair and braids in with glasses on. Stood there talking to each other whilst there was a que outside the shop then had attitude with my partner. This woman must have been in her late 40’s. When confronted by my self and my partners mum she got very defensive and started getting very aggressive then started slagging us off the customers who were stood waiting for their food. The owner started to laugh at us all they clearly don’t care about the customers. We will not be going back there again. We’ve been going here for a while now and never had an issue with them this was the first time we’ve seen this woman here.

This is my local Chip Shop however it always seems hit and miss as of recently. Don't get me wrong the staff are very friendly and always welcoming, however the chips recently have been a disappointment and the fish was a bit too greasy. But I have had a kebab a few times and that has been great with all the salad and pitta. I'm hoping it is just a blip in stock but will not be my first choice of takeaway for the time being.

It really is the best place ever for a variety of great foods. We are vegetarian and their chow mein, omelette, fried rice, halomou chips are the best anywhere. Pleasant staff, clean well presented food.

Ordered online, watched the huge queue of people ordering go down twice before I got my small order. 40 minutes from ordering, I heard them putting my order in to cook after 25 minutes but by the time I got it, it was just about warm after the two minute drive home. Go elsewhere

Great Chippy. Go there atleast once a week , usually on a Saturday. Good friendly staff and the food is always top quality with plenty of choice

Hit and miss. The battered fish is usually very good but the service is variable. Quite often with large orders I have got home to find that there are items missing from the order.

Just moved to the area and my family and I had the best fish and chips in a long time. Will certainly be going back. Thanks

I remember when this shop was built in the late 60s. It wasn't good. Now it's very good indeed. What's not to like, great menu, great staff, great value.

Food ok , but had a bad experience with a female member of staff with brades in ,who was aggressive and rude.

We haven't had a chippy for weeks so it was meant to be a treat tonight but how absolutely disappointed I was when my husband came home with 2 fish and chips. The fish looked lovely thin crispy batter & cooked beautifully, but the chips underneath were appalling. Old cold burnt & non existent as in just scraps, bits not worth calling a chip, it's like they just keep re frying the left over chips, I'm amazed they thought it ok to serve them. My husband took them back & yes they gave us new portions but to be honest they were not a lot better, out of two portions we managed to put together a portion that we shared & threw the rest away. Not very satisfactory at all, I just expected better. They either need to get a better chip potatoe supplier or learn how to fry chips to produce the same quality as the fish.

Laziest Chippy I've ever been. Got served a pre-packed portion of chips left sweating in the hot counter. One guy walked statight out when offered this delightful cuisine. Mmm the taste of sweated polystyrene was such a delightful meal. How hard is it to shovel a scoop of chips out the fryer ffs?
