Relish in Derbyshire Dales

A regular place for us as we live in Bakewell.. Matt is great.. always have a laugh with him Gorgeous food and gorgeous drinks .. nice area outside to sit and people watch .. Would recommend.

Excellent secluded modern coffee takeaway (at the moment). Normally it’s possible to sit outside on one of the tables and chairs and have one of the great coffees that the owner will male for you. It’s not just coffees. You can have all sorts of Teas and Smoothies here. The atmosphere that you get at Relish is the kind that you would only get in a small town such as Bakewell. Very much created by Matt the owner and maker of all sorts of things. I just have a fondness for the coffee that is made here because it’s the best in Bakewell and it’s set in such a conducive location to enjoying yourself.

We found relish around 4 to 5 years ago and pop in for coffee. We came around 2 weeks ago to the market and discovered the indoor seating and had lunch, hubby had brie,bacon and cranberry panini and I had tuna, mozzarella and red onion. Both superb, hubby gave me a taste of his and I was converted! The hot cranberry turns into jam and cuts through the saltiness of the brie! We came to the market yesterday and had the same brie, bacon and cranberry panini. If you're visiting Bakewell,I recommend here and their lattes are beautiful too.

Good coffee and good food in comfortable rustic surroundings. Very good value, too. No pretentious attitude, and no bull. Recommended.

Had a quick bite to eat in Relish and was delighted with the warm welcome and the quality of the food. Friendly owner served us and the menu was extensive and appetising. Quality produce and very tasty. Great prices,dog friendly and indoor seating if needed. Well worth finding when in Bakewell.

Visited numerous times. Always treated to a smile & friendly greeting. Food fresh, reasonably priced with a choice not seen anywhere else. Coffee (latte) very good, the best yet found in Bakewell! Always my first choice when visiting :)

We stumbled upon this little gem while looking for a sandwich while in Bakewell, and I’m so pleased we did. It is just a small shop with a few tables outside. They sell a huge range of sandwiches and also hot and cold drinks. The staff are very friendly especially the gentleman making the sandwiches, you can see they get a lot of regulars as he knew a lot by name, which is always a good sign if locals return. The wrap I had was lovely the ingredients were very fresh. My son just wanted a plain ham and cheese panini and he loved it so much we had to go back the next day for another. If we weren’t just on holiday in Bakewell we would use here aall the time.

As a local Bakewell man I was fortunate enough to Stumble across Relish. Due to its excellent coffee I make it an early morning ritual to visit whenever I am able. Relish makes the best coffee in Bakewell. They also do excellent bacon rolls and sandwiches! Tucked away in a little corner of the Co-op car park it is easy to miss. However, you should make it a priority of yours not to. Especially for the coffee!

Having had a full breakfast earlier in the day we just needed a cuppa and a cake. Found this little gem slightly off the beaten track. Great tea and the tray bakes would feed a small family!

We visit here 1 or 2 times a week for takeaway lunch. It's always lovely. Fresh ingredients, great selection of sandwiches, wraps, paninis & salad boxes and superb home-made cakes. 5 star.

Vine aquí para desayunar antes de salir caminando. Es pequeño, pero estábamos lejos, así que no es un problema. Entró y vio bandejas de tocino. Por desgracia, no se puede comprar un sándwich de tocino aquí ya que parece ser demasiado obvio. En su lugar, bacon y salchichas mi Sándwich era un sándwich frío con ensalada y chutney. No era lo que yo quería, pero me fue bastante bien con lo que me dieron. No era genial, pero hizo su trabajo y un precio razonable. En realidad, no es fácil conseguir un sándwich para llevar en bakewell!

Nicely sited in the pedestrian area with access to tables or grab a bite to go. Lovely range and choice of quality sandwichs, tray bakes, beverages etc. Very helpful friendly staff and owner.

Having had a good look around Bakewell my wife and I were slightly disappointed by the quality of cafes here - there are some good ones but lots of places look a bit below par. This café is in a pedestrianised cut through just off Water Street behind the large Co-op, and near Boots. It has a few outdoor tables that catch the Sun so is pleasant and sheltered plus there is no traffic driving passed. They do the usual cakes and sandwiches here but we only had a very nice quality coffee and a long an interesting chat with the owner. I noticed a number of walkers appeared to use this place.
