Rye Harbour Holiday Park in Rother

We have just had a wonderful long weekend at Rye Harbour Holiday Park. The accommodation was excellent we had a (platinum caravan), beautifully decorated and had everything you could need for a weekend or indeed longer. The service when we had a slight problem was superb. Would recommend Rye Harbour for a holiday to anybody.

Lovely clean site, great for dog walks around nature reserve near to Rye and Hastings. We ate in restaurant and food was good. Quiet site so no arcade, major entertainment, or shop but we didn't need these. I booked 3 gold plus pet friendly caravans for a long weekend for family. Caravans had all we needed plus central heating throughout. No highchair or dog gate on one but this was sorted quickly by reception. My daughter had electrics trip out at 7am one morning and rang emergency number but was told no one available till 9am but a nice lady from sales office who arrived about 8ish came to help. These things happen but I wasn't impressed that you couldn't have an emergency until 9am! Rest of stay was all good until last night when my daughter who had a 6 mth baby, couldn't cook as there was no gas. Ringing the emergency number a security person arrived who had no idea what to do as boiler had error message and no gas. Apparently there was no warden on duty. It took nearly 2 hours to get it sorted after being originally told 'could we sort it in morning'! Err no! Need heating...have a baby!!!! In the end the Chef came out to help change the canister and the security person had to be talked through on the phone by someone off site on how to reset the boiler. I know its a small site (as we were told by security person) but this was disappointing. There is also a health and safety concern, but I will be sharing this with Park Holidays in my complaint letter. Shame as this soured my experience of Rye Harbour.

Had a very disappointing 4 day break at Rye Harbour ,we first visited there in April we booked there because they had a new swimming pool,steam room and jacuzzi. and really enjoyed using the pool. So we rebooked again for the 7th Oct. because of the spa. Unfortunately when we went to go to the swimming pool etc was told it was broken and they would phone us when it was fixed. We were told the same thing each day .On the Thursday I asked to talk to the manager.He said it was still out of action and the contractor who fixes it was in Cornwall, Surely a company as large of Park Holidays should be able to get someone else out to fix a pump that's not even 6 maths old. I asked for compensation as the spa was the reason I booked there and was told zNo as I was the only one who complained about it. VERY DISAPPOINTED that we couldn't use any of it,will never book there again.

We stayed at Rye holiday park for 4 nights. On arrival we found the caravan very clean with beds made up. The staff on the park couldn't have been more helpful, nothing was too much trouble. It was good to be so close to the nature reserve where we spent most of our days. We would definitely go back, next time with our dog as it certainly is a perfect place to take them.

We stayed for 3 nights in a superb lodge. It was so peaceful and we were made to feel welcome by everybody we met o the park. Sophie in reception was si congenial and affable it felt like we were old friends, also she was so helpful. The entire stay was superb and a lovely place to relax and forget all our stresses and unwind. Our dog was also made to feel so welcome.

Excellent customer service from Jim and yummy food from sites bar and restaurant. Really friendly service from all staff. Excellent front of house at reception. Staff are: helpful, polite and friendly! Even when busy!!! Lovely and clean accommodation, comfortable and everything catered for. We are really enjoying our stay and looking forward to the next couple of days. What a lovely place xxx

We visited the new refurbished Bar and restaurant, I believe it had a new team working hard to make it more welcoming for owners and holiday makers. We were very impressed by the service we received by Mark ( bar manager) Jim and Debbie (bar staff) Jamie (the chef) The evening entertainment over the weekend was absolutely fantastic. Tina Turner tribute, Eddison Lighthouse…. People were dancing, singing, it was such an incredible atmosphere. Well done to all the team!!! 👍

From the word go checking in reception staff Katie and Sophie were so helpful, friendly and polite. Sophie was exceptionally helpful and lovely throughout our stay with her top notch customer service! We ate dinner, lunch and breakfast at the restaurant served by Casey, summer and Mark. All were polite and knowledgeable and would go out of their way to cater for any of our requests to make sure we were happy. Jamie the chef cooked us a very tasty meal on our first night. Food is very good value for money with good portion sizes. The park itself is so well kept, absolutely spotless. It’s in a wonderful location close enough to explore Rye town and the stunning nearby beaches then come back to relax. The facilities are outstanding with the pool and spa, my son went to the gym every evening which you can access with a fob up until midnight. The gold plus caravan with decking itself was very comfortable and contained everything we needed and more! The park is completely dog friendly and I loved the dog goodie section in the shop (as did my dog Otis). Dogs are also able to go into the restaurant which was great. Overall a superb experience one of which we hope to repeat in the future.

We recently stayed at this lovely park for 4 nights. Tucked right out of the way this sleepy park is ideal for a relaxing break. The park itself is clean and neat. The caravan was also clean and modern. The park only has evening entertainment on Friday and Saturday nights during the summer. We didn’t stay for the weekend so didn’t get to experience this. We did have lunch which was more than adequate. Having just been refurbished the bar itself is lovely and inviting. Although the shop onsite has limited stock there is a convenience store just outside of the park. There is also an amazing farm shop which u pass on your way to the park which stocks all local delicious produce. We can recommend the sausages and butter! We will definitely be. staying here again. Her had such a chilled time.

Just recently got back from staying here,have stayed there before because we loved it,as do our dogs. The villa was lovely and clean,we had a couple of minor issues which were dealt with straight away. A big shout out to the reception staff very friendly,caring,and funny. Loved the new pool. And when we arrived on the Monday,we had a meal in The Harbour,the lady who was taking food orders,doing the drinks,and serving the food when cooked,clearing the tables,I know it wasn't mega busy,but give this lady a medal,she deserves it.

Just finished a first rate meal in superb surroundings with brilliant staff. It was our first meal in the new restaurant. The menu was excellent catering for all dietary needs. I had the plant burger which so very tasty and fresh whilst my wife had the Mediterranean baked Hake with veg, which she said was delicious. Can’t thank the staff Vicky, Sid and Harry for being so friendly and welcoming. The chef was brilliant and did a great job. The new surroundings are outstanding. We wholeheartedly recommend.

My wife and I visited Rye harbour holiday park last September and it was a perfect holiday, the site is beautiful and we'll maintained, the staff are fantastic, I have just booked for this year with the help of Sophie, who couldn't do enough to help us, so polite, and helpful and just went the extra mile to find something perfect for us, she Listened! Sophie you're absolutely Amazing! Thank you and can't wait to see you later on in the year!

Chef - Bethany. Wow, Bethany. I credit myself as a bit of a Fish & Chips Connoisseur. Being a Northern lad and, I have to say, tonight’s Fish & Chips was the best I’ve tasted in years. Thank you. It was superb.

What a superb break we had here clean quiet and comfortable. Surroundings Kieran and roger very helpful and friendly even brought back our dog when she escaped

been coming here for the last 7 years & were nevert dissappointed at all. good food in the club house. We came for a good rest but plenty to do in surrounding area if you want to,. yes were coming back again!!!

I've actually been here every month since i bought my beautiful holiday home on this park back in May this year. The Park is right next to the stunning Rye Harbour Nature Reserve which in turn leads onto the shingle and the beach. It is the most peaceful location and was a major surprise to me when I discovered it by pure chance a couple of years ago. I never dreamt then that I would now be a proud owner of one of their stunning holiday homes. My home is exquisitely appointed and every home comfort is there. It is spacious and very tastefully decorated and furnished and all i had to do was turn up with my bag and move in. It even included bed linen and pictures! Ive now made it more personal to me and try and get down there at every available opportunities to soak up the peace and quiet and nature that is on my doorstep. And if i need any help with anything the team in the Sales Office have always been on hand to help . I am indebted, in particular to Mark, Katie and Pete, who have gone out of their way to resolve the few minor issues i had on moving in.

Using a friend's lodge as a base, this holiday park is very quiet and peaceful, bordering a nature reserve so a different kind of clientele than usual holiday parks! There is a little swimming pool (to be booked in advance), a little shop and a pub / restaurant but that's it. The beautiful nature reserves are well worth exploring and the birds and scenery is tremendous - this is a place for RELAXATION, not for noisy parties or screaming kids - go over the river to Camber if that floats your boat!! Will be returning again and again to this!

Had a great experience of a buying a static caravan. Katie, of the Holiday Park team, went out of her way to be helpful and show us the park and facilities. Very friendly and introduced us to all of the staff and many of the pitch holders. Good job and well done.

A totally relaxing time spent at Rye Harbour Holiday Park. Easy to get around to local attractions & perfect place for dog walking. Happy & helpful staff, upon arrival, Paige gave us local travel information & maps for the area. Well recommended.

Like most people this year our holiday plans were cancelled. Seeing a special offer for a 4 night break in a Silver Plus Caravan at Rye Harbour we decided to book. We only live 50 mins away and know Rye well and have often walked through the holiday park. The park has a mix of residential homes and holiday homes. A few days beforehand we received a call to check we were still OK to travel and to be asked how many beds we wanted made up. We were reminded to brings towels, tea towels etc. We were also advised of the check in procedure and also the roadworks in Rye. When we arrived at the site check in by Diane was friendly and efficient. We proceeded to our caravan C33 which was at the far end of the site close to a tree line. It's fair to say our initial feeling was one of disappointment with regard to location. The caravan itself was clean and comfortable. Very effective central heating, plenty of hot water, and a powerful shower. The location of the caravan was actually fine and very peaceful. The only downside is the fact that guests can't park their car close to the caravans in this area and although the parking zone was nearby, it took a few journies to load and unload the car. If its raining that's not so great. We can't comment on onsite food or entertainment as we didn't use those facilities. The gentleman on duty at check out was friendly and a nice touch on departure of a few travel sweets for the homeward journey. We had a love few days with unexpected decent weather. We love walking so the nature reserve and long walk along to Winchelsea Beach is perfect for us. Rye Town is 2 miles away with plenty of parking and some great restaurants. We drove to Hastings one day, about 25 mins away and enjoyed our visit. The holiday site makes for a good base. For us at this time of year.. Out of season and during term time.. the break was perfect. Thank you

We decided to go here as we’d had a lovely break earlier in the year to Pevensey with Park We booked a platinum lodge both at Pevensey and at Rye Pevensey had everything that was advertised and more but Rye 1) no tv in master bedroom 2) no hoover 3) no iron n ironing board 4) no armchair 5) one saucepan burnt 6) layout different 7) grubby this site is run down short staffed and lacks amenities is miles from anywhere Supermarket 15 miles away unless you use Jempsons which has Marks n Spencer’s prices and Lidl type products We’d booked 7 days and first two days spent trying to get things sorted out I’ve got terminal cancer and booked it for the amenities in the lodge and park as Pevensey had been perfect but due to all the upset etc came home after 4 days feeling really poorly deciding that maybe that’ll have to be our last holiday

I own a caravan on Rye Harbour Holiday park. A couple of weeks ago my son decided to rent a lodge here for a week in August. As it was such short notice I did have trouble finding something as school holidays are quite popular. Then the lovely Jackie in the office not only sorted out a lodge but also found a caravan for my friend and his family to come at the same time. So I just wanted to say thank you so much Jackie you are truly a life saver!!!!

Draußen bei herrlich sonnigem Wetter. Super schön. Auch für Hunde. Wir waren zum Frühstück da. Genossen das typisch englische Frühstück mit Bohnen, Würstchen, Speck usw. Auch wenn man das nicht jeden Tag essen will, es war gut gemacht und schmeckte. Gut waren auch die egg buns, ein Hamburgerbrötchen mit gebackenem Ei. Guter Kaffee.

If you want an exciting busy park this isn't it, the pool is tiny and the club house is rather depressing. BUT the location is lovely, the nature reserve is stunning, the ice cream lady who appears afternoons at the end of the entrance to the nature reserve has lovely ice creams.

Don’t book with Bobo Flowers through Airbnb, drove 100 miles from south West London and she/he failed to turn up so had to turn around and drive straight back. Two very disappointed children.

We spent a week here over the Easter break.

We have just returned from a weeks stay in a pet friendly 3 bedroom gold plus caravan. The van was extremely clean on arrival. We were given a small welcome pack containing tea, coffee, sugar, milk and a hot chocolate. We were given lots of info in reception on the area including a map of Rye itself. In the van was a packet containing a small washing up liquid, a sponge and cleaning cloth. The kitchen was adequately equipped, although from experience we always take a few extras like sharp knives. The lounge area was so comfortable with a lovely gas fire and a larger than average TV. The shower was great, we've stayed in top end hotels with dribbling excuse for a shower! The bed wasn't the most comfortable, but mattresses are a very personal choice. The location of the park is perfect for people looking for a quiet and tranquil break. It's perfectly located directly next to the nature reserve with access on to the most beautiful beach. There is no doubt that we will return to this park in the near future!

Pleasant atmosphere with van owners and tourists. Meals were good value - I had scampi 🍤 and my husband had Fish Pie. The entertainment was good.

Just hired a two bed lodge at rye harbour again the park has changed a bit to the good, The park has everything you need for a good holiday rye town is not to far away. There is a good supermarket in rye if you are self catering and a good fish and chip shop, Rye Harbour Holiday Park is the place to stay. EJ

well kept holiday park nice staff but lacking staff in the bar entertainment area which to be honest was a tiny stage with hardly any entertainment the pool was closed the day we arrived and food is no longer served after 8pm and there are no shops open near by so if you stay here with a car you are stuck there are however two nice pubs a stones throw the william the conquerer and the inkerman inn both had a nice atmosphere and good value food .the holiday park has a nature reserve with free parking a long walk to a very stony beach well kept area . I would not reccomend this place for children but ideal for dog walkers and pensioners

We arrived here yesterday 11th may 2018 and our caravan was a bit of a walk from the car park which made it difficult for me being disabled. I phoned The people in reception who were extremely helpful and quickly got us a caravan that was more suitable to my needs. We are now in a lodge and it is like staying in luxury. It is huge ha's a washing machine dishwasher large fridge freezer with ice machine. A bath plus a shower in our bedroom a TV in the bedrooms. A veranda with seating and table. Everything we need. The camp I'd lovely and quiet if that's what you're looking for but children are welcome and there are play areas. We had breakfast in the restaurant /club today and it was really lovely and cooked fresh for us so was worth the short wait. Had a nice chat with the lovely man who cooked our breakfast and he was very welcoming and friendly. Definitely can't wait to come back and we haven't even left yet. Highly recommended.

Just come back from rye harbour holiday park stayed in one of there platinum lodge a four night stay is enough is time of the year for us, the park has upgraded to a excellent holiday park and well worth a visit most platinum lodges and platinum caravan have car parking next two them excellent.EJ

what a great welcome from Abbie so friendly helpful and efficient a breathe of fresh air to a great holiday park a great addition to a really good team .the park in a lovely area for walking cycling or just chilling .the clubhouse is very nice Charlene makes you feel right at home . worth a visit . the pools not very big but Martin the lifeguard makes it seem bigger and always good fun. visit atleast 3 times a year, already booked for next year

We drove to the harbour and parked in an excellent car park. Not very much to experience but good for a walk towards the sea. Sunny day helped. Plenty of birds to see.

Having just bought a holiday home here I have used the facilities and have found them to be very good. The club house has a really good menu and caters for breakfast, lunch, evening meals , they also have a snack menu.

Ideal for a quiet, relaxing break. Away from the main roads and tourist areas, surrounded by nature reserve. Great clubhouse selling great food at reasonable prices in a friendly atmosphere. Mainly owner occupied with sum retails.

Así que hicimos nuestras primeras vacaciones familiares en este parque de vacaciones desde el nacimiento de nuestro hijo y nos emocionamos mucho! Cuando llegamos el personal de recepción era muy amable y servicial, como el bar y el personal de entretenimiento, pero la caravana en sí fue muy decepcionante. Reservamos una caravana de platino, el más alto grado como la época del año era más barato así que decidimos darnos un capricho, pero a juzgar por las fotos en línea nos decepcionó y convencido de que no era en una caravana de platino.Para empeorar las cosas a las pocas horas de nuestra llegada, los vecinos del infierno llegamos. Por desgracia nos pusieron en entre dos de los más ruidosos como varias familias grandes caravanas con unos 10 niños en cada caravana pasamos toda la noche y noche corriendo por nuestra caravana, gritos, saltos mientras que los adultos se sentaba fuera hasta altas horas de la madrugada para beber y fumar. Con dos niños pequeños que estamos muy limitados en lo que podían hacer por las noches, ya que la animación fue orientado a niños mayores, así que después de la mini disco en 6, nos gustaría volver a la caravana, poner los bebés a la cama y luego sentarse y tener que escuchar toda una noche de vacaciones alguien! Cuando llegamos harto de esto, decidimos informar a la park guardián porque estaba fuera de horas. Nos quedamos verdaderamente impresionados por sus respuestas. Nos pareció ser grosero y poco servicial y básicamente nos dijo que no podía hacer nada al respecto y "no estaba tan mal" después nos enteramos de que estas familias eran conocidos en el parque como ruidoso y una molestia y siempre eran muy ruidosa en sus visitas con un montón de quejas. Cuando nos acercábamos al gerente sobre lo nos dijeron hartamos porque con excusas pobres para el alojamiento básico y el ruido que nos dijeron que no podían hacer nada y que no había lugar para trasladarnos así tuvimos que básicamente aguantar! Al final decidimos salir y terminamos nuestro vacaciones de 7 noche después de 3 noches. Era decente que el parque no acepto restitución el resto de nuestras vacaciones después tuvimos que aguantar una noche más, pero no encontramos el director para ser muy respetuosa con nuestra situación o tiene mucho que ofrecer para compensarnos por la interrupción y el hecho de que tuvimos que acortar nuestras vacaciones. Una auténtica pena, la reserva natural y la zona era preciosa, pero este parque necesita para ofrecer un poco más a la gente en términos de servicio al cliente y tratar a sus clientes como vacaciones con mucho respeto como los propietarios de caravanas. También pensamos que si estás anunciando una caravana específica con fotos, entonces debería proporcionar este al cliente y que no persiga un estándar alternativo" en lugar que es básicamente lo que teníamos.Creo que es justo decir que no volveremos!!

Parque con fácil acceso a lugares y centeno aunque necesitas un coche. La piscina un poco pequeña, pero se puede usar la piscina fuera muy bueno. winchelsea Dos pubs locales en poca si no uso bar park. Santuario de aves excelente y fácil de caminar. Más arena, Piedras Arenas camber haya winchelsea cuando la marea es en.

Acabamos de pasar 4 noches aquí (lunes a viernes) hubiese reservado más tiempo, me encantó! Tenía una espléndida casa móvil (además de oro) todo el mundo agradable, amable y servicial. Fuera de temporada, pero muy tranquilo, que es lo que nos gusta. Parque mantenido muy limpio y ordenado, hierba cortada regular, etc. Pasamos por el Bird reserve, Rye Harbour, centeno, Winchelsea, Dungeness, Lydd, etc. todo precioso casco histórico lugares. Sin duda reservar el próximo año. bien hecho vacaciones del parque.

we stayed back in April had a great time didn't want to leave , we try the pub for a takeaway one night and was very happy with what we got value for money, kids tried all there big ice creams and loved them, had a breakfast one morning and it was lovely very clean and friendly stuff and helpful

Nos alojamos en una caravana en el parque y nos dieron vales regalo en el momento de la llegada, de lo contrario probablemente no hubiéramos comido allí. Como era, tuvimos nuestra primera cena - y nos sorprendió muy agradablemente! La comida era muy buena, todas las cosas consideradas, y después, teníamos un desayuno allí sorprendentemente bueno. Además, el personal era muy servicial y agradable de tratar.Bien, el ambiente es el de un club con ruido, los niños corriendo todo el año y especialmente cuando el bingo o entretenimiento, pero si lo que quieres es una comida, os lo recomiendo.No sugiero que hacer un viaje especial, pero si te alojas allí o visitar la reserva natural, entonces, no penséis que va a ser terrible.

El sitio proporciona un gran descuento cuando reserva desayunos con antelación y créeme son vale la pena reservar. Puede que tenga que esperar un rato pero cuando llega a su mesa es recién cocinado y caliente. Mi única queja es que necesitan orden tomates pero en comparación con el servicio y la calidad, es una muy pequeña queja ( I como toms). Enhorabuena a los cocineros y el personal del comedor.Tienen ofertas especiales para las demás comidas demasiado pero comimos cuando fuera.

Lo más penoso comida familiar. Fuimos el segundo grupo para pedir nuestra cena. Ordenar fue dañada por un buen número de artículos no estuviera disponible, para mí el mismo artículo estaba disponible en la anterior ocasión quería comer allí. También había un número de calcomanías artículos permitir efectuar las opciones de menú aún más limitada. De todos modos, que finalmente hizo que nuestra selección. Veinte minutos después de haberlo pedido nuestra cena, un miembro del personal vino y nos dijeron que no había arroz para ir con un curry. No hay arroz! Otros 25 minutos pasaron antes nuestras cenas llegamos. En dos placas no había alubias de Heinz, estaban fuera demasiado. Dos de las comidas estaban fríos y los aros de cebolla falta, que deberían haber sido caliente, no fueron ensaladas. Durante el tiempo esperando que Echamos un vistazo bajo los pegatinas de menú para ver lo que nos falta. Un artículo no disponible era una tortilla. Increíble, tenían huevos, así que supongo que el chef no podría incluso cocinar una tortilla. Nuestra miserable primero terminó y platos arrebatado, nos quedamos a esperar para niños postres. Cuando unos 15 minutos había aprobado y no había ninguna señal de que tuvimos que ir al bar y preguntar donde estaban. No sabían y tuvimos que pedir lo que habíamos pedido. Los pudines llegamos a diez minutos más tarde, una muy galletas insípidas que parecían gofres y el otro un congelador quemada helado de chocolate. El helado de chocolate era la izquierda, la primera vez que un nieto de la mina ha hecho jamás. No comer allí de nuevo a menos que el restaurante mejora notablemente.
