We arrived early so had a drink at the bar first then we were shown to our table. Wasn't sure what to order so chose the steak, lamb and chicken sharing board - I especially have a big appetite. It was gorgeous and we couldn’t manage the chicken so asked for a doggy bag (for me) to take home for which they obliged. Our server was lovely and very attentive but I have forgotten her name (young, dark hair, plaits). Thank you
Went with extended family….. great selection of dishes and the food was fantastic.
Best Curry in Southport…. Service is always fantastic. Will be going again very soon.
Absolutely stunning. We had the monkfish and lobster and seafood platter. It was delicious. The food is amazing. The place itself is gorgeous and Paulo is a legend. Nothing is too much trouble. He’s professional yet amiable and a great host. Highly recommend this place.
Amazing food. Worth more than one visit. A whole different flavour of spices than the Indians we've been used to. Great service from the team. Looking forward to returning again.
My partner and I stopped off at this cafe for lunch when arriving in Southport. On the car journey there, I looked at places for lunch and Hideaway came up in the recommendations. We both ordered a panini - the mozarella, sweet chill and chicken for me and a tuna mayo one for my partner. The paninis were a generous size and came with salad on the side. We both ordered a drink with this - soft drink and an americano. The total came to just over £20 which we didn’t think was too bad considering the size and quality of the food. I would certainly recommend this place for a lunch stop but also if you’re looking for something more fulfilling as the menu offers a rang of larger meals including a breakfast menu.
My friend and I have been going out to lunch once a week for about a year in and around Southport/Birkdale/Ormskirk/Burscough. This got the vote as our favourite from both of us.
There is no reservation system available so we turned up at lunchtime. It was busy but we got seated quickly. Our drinks came but then we had about a half hour wait for our food. I didn't mind so much but we had to go out and feed the parking meter, we know for next time to just book longer, it is honestly worth the wait.
I had the chicken caesar salad the first time, my friend had eggs benedict. Its so refreshing to have something different on offer for lunch.
There is a good menu but there are also specials which are very tempting.
The salad I had was enormous with lots of tasty chicken and the croutons were to die for. I struggled to get through it as it was a large bowl of food, but so tasty.
The waiting staff are friendly and the chef is a genius. Will be seeing you again for lunch very soon.
My friend and i thought we would try L20 after hearing about the food being good…It was excellent!!
The warm welcome, lovely friendly staff who looked after us especially Lucy.
We both had 3 courses and we enjoyed them so much ..
The food presentation perfect, the flavours so good. The cost for a 3 course meal as good as this is unbelievable.
This was the first time and will not be the last.
Another lovely visit. We both had one of the days specials. Pork, stuffing, pear chutney sandwiches with salad and crisps. Absolutely delicious with a great coffee as well. The staff are friendly, efficient and we so look forward to our visits.
We came here after we heard such good reviews!
Safe to say they were right!
Staff brilliant- live music, fab atmosphere!
Great little place!
Only wish I lived closer to go more often
❤️
We visited after reading the great reviews. The service and food were good. A pleasant atmosphere. The menu was greatly reduced from the one on the website which was disappointing.
Went for brunch. Took a while to decide what to choose as there are so many things to choose from. I had the corned beef hash with spicy beans,.. my mother had a mushroom omelette. Both were piping hot an delicious. Will definitely call in again before I leave the area.
Been going here for years, the food and staff are consistently good and it has a lovely atmosphere. Great place for quality and fresh food for lunch/brunch.
Went here for the first time today . Lovely interiors . Very cosy . Ample dinner menu or afternoon teas . Lots of homemade cakes to choose from . The nice atmosphere and the delightful crockery and cutlery make it a lovely dining experience
Fabulous food and great service.
Went with my wife and children after hearing good things from friends.
My daughter has a peanut allergy and everything was checked.
All the family really enjoyed the food, I had the fillet steak with garlic prawns which was excellent, and the wild mushroom sauce was fantastic!
We will be back.
We've walked past Il Capitano many a time , it's always busy . I now know why , tbh I'm not the biggest pizza fan . We got a caprese salad and garlic bread starter . Which is basically a pizza base with garlic and cheese topping . It's got to be one of the nicest gbs I've ever had . We bothe went for pasta dishes for the main course . Both the con fungi and ravioli were 10/10 freshly made pasta , beautiful. Although we never had a desert , they did look very nice to . Deffo be going back
