The best restaurants in Tarvin and Kelsall Cheshire West and Chester North West

I was driving on my way to Conwy and needed a comfort break and some lunch. What a lovely welcome I had ........ just genuine, not put on. The pub wasn't stylish (more old fashioned in a good way) but very comfortable. I had a fish finger baguette as they didn't have any sandwiches that I liked. Wow ........... !! It was so nicely presented and the side salad was all fresh and delicious. Chips too which I wasn't expecting. To be honest I couldn't manage all of it as there was such a lot. Excellent value that couldn't be beat!!

Had a lovely lunch sat outside today - one of the best toasties I've ever had and a great coffee - staff super nice - 100% recommended.

Gorgeous décor, friendly staff and the best onion soup and crème brûlée I've ever had! We just happened to be in the area so thought we'd give it a try and so glad we did! The cocktails were also very well made and nicely presented. We had a French Martini and a Bloody Mary.

Brilliant, helpful, cleanest coffee shop we have ever been in with some of the nicest coffee a cakes. They take real pride in what they do. We travel 22 miles to visit Citrus as there is nothing in the Wirral to touch it. Dave & Sara

A true locals restaurant - doing the simple things in a fantastic way. We were welcomed very warmly, the style of the restaurant is approachable, and deservedly busy! We had french onion soup which was a great example, the Sunday roast (though tempted by the specials board) was absolutely spot on and generous without being over the top. And ofcourse, sticky toffee pudding. Reasonably priced, great food, warm welcome, what a restaurant.

Delicious breakfast! Lovely, Friendly staff! We visited here while on holiday and what a lovely garden centre! We had breakfast… fresh, delicious, great g/f options! And well priced… if we lived near here this would be a regular breakfast haunt for us!! Keep up the good work!

Lovely drink and food venue. Ice cream and milk shakes from an outside kiosk with a great outdoor area. same New resin pathway make the entrance nice and safe from the car park for those less able. Great cask ale on offer

Visited with a large party on teo occasions to then be told that they have no chicken. We weren't told thus when booking and it's happened twice. Just buy more chicken!!!

We popped in for morning coffee, good service and delicious coffee. The decor is eclectic and a little old fashioned.

Had the home madesteak pie and chips and lots of extra gravy best steak pie i have ever had the pastry was amazing light and buttery so much filling and the chips are gorgeous I don't like fat chips but these were outstanding Nia served us and her customer service was second to none prices are good, it dog friendly everything on the menu is homemade and they use quality ingredients, I will definitely be going back.

Great biker cafe, friendly staff, and good food at reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

This pub/hotel is very much open and was hopping when we went. We had booked a table for dinner but sadly, nobody had told us there was live music. It became an issue as it was impossible to chat. There was no way of escaping the music (which was ok) except to leave. The food was a mixed bag - one starter arrived tepid and had to be sent back - the pies were ok and the steak went down well. Just a shame that the evening was ruined - we would have booked elsewhere had we known.

I had a wonderful time yesterday being served by Jane who was super helpful about allergy information (gluten free options) for my partner. She also was wonderful with my dog who can be nervous but she was so kind and kept complimenting her which caused a very waggy tail
