We had a delicious lunch, everything tasted lovely. The restaurant is in a lovely space, attentive and considered service. Highly recommend!

Great spot for 11 of us on a post-hen do brunch. We had a great big table upstairs and all of the food was to die for! A properly great bunch and an absolute bargain too. Thank you so much - we'll be back again for sure!

The Cornichon is a fantastic restaurant with high quality food and wine. The atmosphere is cosy and the acoustics are brilliant. The service is really friendly. Really great place for an intimate evening with family, your partner or friends!

Got to catch up with family over a nice birthday dinner. They gave us seating upstairs where it was cozy and quiet enough to easily hear each other. Beetroot app was tasty, wife loved the gnocchi, my burger was OK, my sticky toffee pudding was excellent!

Another lovely lunch here. Decided to risk the roast beetroot and whipped blue cheese. Sensational!

Lovely bistro oozing character in centre of Tarvin. We dinned on New Year's Eve. It was our first visit. The team impressed from the start. Their website did not have any availability from New Year's eve so I phoned on the off chance; the lady I spoke to on the phone was friendly and professional and was able to move tables around to accommodate us. Food is certainly up there with the best gastro pubs in the area. Atmosphere and character of the venue definitely sets it apart.

Popped in to have a quick drink at 8.50pm, bar was busy with customers drinking, some with pints to finish and bottles of wine to be told the bar was closed , very disappointed!! Can’t understand that, restaurant was busy also !

Old butchers shop turned into restaurant with friendly staff and great food, another visit is on the cards, definitely recommend.

We enjoyed our time here. Food cooked well. The kids menu was a little dated, everything came with chips. It would be nice for restaurants to realise that not all kids want deep fried fatty food. Overall it was a little on the pricey side. £9.50 for some very small chicken wings - you can get around 5 kilos of wings for £10. so great business model but not good value for the diner.

A lovely meal with family before moving on to an evening wedding reception. Those of us who had the Chicken Brurgers gave it 10/10.....my grandson said best burger he's ever had !! The fish burger my hubby had was delicious too .... Thanks to all the staff 👌👌

French style cafe with bar. Very friendly and efficient service. We were passing on a cycle tour and just needed a rest and a drink. They were happy to serve us coffee at the bar. We noticed a very interesting menu and ended up having starters, which were excellent.

Excellent as always, first class handmade burgers, wings so good that you’ll definitely want to lick your fingers and smiling staff to help roll you out of the door after you’ve overeaten some really good quality food :)

Fantastic restaurant and staff. My wife and I made an impromptu visit for a coffee but such was the welcoming atmosphere we stayed a while longer and enjoyed a fantastic breakfast. We live in a neighbouring village and didn't realise how lucky we are having this gem on our doorstep. Will be back with friends.

Wonderful place for the traveller,nice cup of tea served as a special compliment to leafed tea in a clear glass pot with filter,China milk urn and warm cup and saucer.Disappointed by the sugar in satchets.With as much attention to detail as this for a cup of tea,you can only imagine how the food is presented,well done.

Stopped for a break from cycling - staff super friendly & helpful but onion soup was dire along with a stale bread roll...Americano coffee and the above came to £10.50! Don't mind paying for quality but.....???!!!!!

On a very hot Friday evening, couldn’t be bothered cooking, so to the Cornishon we go, letting Ben & his team take the strain in the kitchen. Meanwhile in the restaurant we were looked after brilliantly. Fantastic food, marvellous service, all round great experience. As indeed it always is here.

All you can want from a restaurant, excellent service,great staff and superb food ( the French onion soup starter and brownie dessert were both highlights for me) . Very easy to recommend.

Fantastic food and excellent customer service at this bistro / resteraunt / bar. This is one of our new favourite places. Great selection on the menu with a few vegetarian options. Lovely drinks menu with locally sourced Wheatley gin. The chef also makes his own sourdough bread which is outstanding. Nice cosy atmosphere. Bathrooms are on the 1st floor. Limited parking outside. Lovely village location.

Lived in the village all my life and this was the first time we have visited the restaurant, and we had a brilliant time. The service was excellent, the quality of the food was to a very high quality and we didn't feel rushed. The options were varied and it was a hard decision what to choose, as all the dishes were appetising. Definitely go back, thank you for a brilliant meal and a great evening.

Took my mum for a treat, lunch on sat. Good food, friendly staff. Little pricey but quality of food justifies the cost. Would recommend overall.

Fantastic place in Tarvin. Have been for Sunday lunch a couple of times. The service is very personable and great atmosphere. They have an upstairs area you can book for larger groups. Quality food and very reasonable.

Lovely atmosphere and excellent service. Food was generally good although the chicken was a little dry. I wouldn't suggest ordering the cheese and biscuits as I was only given two tiny pieces of cheese which didn't seem worth the money.

I really enjoyed my Sunday lunch at the Cornichon. The beef was perfectly pink for me, however, others in our party would probably not have ordered had they known it was served so rare. Maybe a note on the menu would have helped. Anyway, really good service, food, beer and wine and environment. Easily deserves a 5 star if not for the pink beef that was leftover and everything being served a tad lukewarm.

First time visitor despite it being 10 minutes from anywhere I’ve lived. Absolutely blown away to be honest. The gaff was really nicely done out, the staff were incredibly considerate of the plague which I liked and were super helpful, polite and welcoming in general. The food was incredible, really enjoyed it. I’d of happily paid twice what it actually cost so value for money was ten ten. I’ve recommended it to everyone in the last 3 days it’s that good. Will definitely be visiting again! Thanks you ruddy legends.

A fantastic gem ot a place, so glad we cam across it today. It was literally 5 minutes off our route back from NW Wales and well worth the slight detour, in fact we'll worth a long detour. The reviews were spot on, we read so decided to add one as well. The first impressions of the place are that it is going to be a good experience, the staff were friendly, attentive and on the ball, the 3 course Sunday Lunch we had was perfect, each course was full of flavour and wonderful tastes.

My husband and I have just visited for the first time , and we where not disappointed , lovely inside and the food was excellent, we both had the French onion soup to start and the steak and fries for a main, service was excellent from the lovely waitress , we will certainly return and recommend to friends and family .
