Fourways Cafe & Grill in Cheshire West and Chester

It's a shame their not flexible with the the menu, if you go in after breakfast is finished you can't just have a sausage sandwich but you can have sausage and chips with bread ? Many times I've been in after breakfast and just ordered a drink because of this then just called at a Greggs on the way home, doesn't make any sense , their loosing a sale🤔

As a biker this is a regular drop in for me. Good, tasty, and sensibly priced cafe food. Lots of bikes but everyone seems welcome. Plus, right next door to a motorcycle accessory warehouse!

Good location, food is amazing! Shame about the staff who can’t even crack a smile. This is the only thing letting the cafe down is customer service. Come on people you’re in a good location!

Coffee good but £4 for a bowl of chips,cheap chips at that ! I would expect the mayonnaise to be free, but you have to pay for that too. I am really disappointed. I have been coming here for years,but won't be coming here again. Sort your prices out.

I walked into an empty cafe a couple of days ago the girl serving behind the counter had seen me walk in. She stood talking to the kitchen staff for quite some time before she came to serve me . Then didn’t say anything when she eventually came to serve me . Just a simple hello /hi would be much more of a polite approach. Happens every time I come there . Cheer up ! I do like the breakfasts but the staff need to appreciate your customers little better .

Lovely fresh breakfast. Served piping hot and warm reception from Lucy. Ordered two Full English and tea n toast. Arrived within 15 minutes. Cafe is friendly, clean, modern and full of biker memorabilia. There is a lovely atmosphere and a good mix of people. Would definitely come again.

It’s a biker cafe and it’s a cracker of a breakfast. Lots of bikes outside for people to have a look at with J and S to wander around.

Cafe serving breakfasts, burger chips and much more, nice cakes. Especially the millionaires shortbread 😋 Lot's of bikers visit as it is next to J&S but it's open to everyone.

Been there loads of times usually happy with the breakfast, however paid just short of £20 for 2 ham and cheese toasties , I didn't really want the chips but was told by the not so happy "milly" I had to have them but "Just don't eat them " Gobsmacked, I won't be eating there again 🙄

Went yesterday breakfast not a good as usual. Tinned mushrooms (yugh) different beans taste very sweet. ( been going regularly for 2 - 3 years). Won't b going again.

Nice cafe with motorcycle accessory shop on the same site, good parking. Food was freshly cooked and well presented, and a good cup of coffee.

You won’t find a better cafe serving an amazing fry-up breakfast anyway close. We stopped here as a family after the kids demanded an all-day breakfast. A fantastic plate of food and coffee in a nice, light and extremely clean restaurant area, all for £8, unbelievably great value. If you’re after a cracking breakfast, this is the place. The lunch menu also looked amazing, we’ll be back!

An absolutely cracking full English every time we go. Great breakfast before a good walk. The service is always quick and polite, the breakfast delicious. It has a very friendly atmosphere. We love this cafe!!

Ive been all over recently looking for a good breakfast and some in the pub told me about Fourways last night and is well worth the drive absolutely the best breakfast in the UK hands down . Other food places should go and look at how it should be done

Edit 31/01/23. I was invited back by the owner to give Fourways another try. I've left my original review down below for reference. On this second visit, standards were super high. Not only was the food delicious, the quantity was substantial and it was cooked quickly. Service this time was with a smile and a chat too, which added a friendly personal touch. We were welcomed in and weren't rushed. A really nice experience and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Actions have clearly been taken to improve the experience and these haven't gone unnoticed. While not directly related to Fourways, the conveniences on site have been revamped recently too and are tenfold better than they were previously. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wish I could give 5 stars. I have visited a number of times and never had an issue. Always good food and served pretty fast. Today we visited and found a lady on the till who made us feel like our patronage was an inconvenience. We were told to sit on the bar stools next to the door because we were “only” having tea and a biscuit. We had to remind her that we asked for a flap jack too since she claims she never heard it but did hear the request for 2 teas immediately before it and the shortbread immediately afterwards. Cafe wasn’t full by any stretch but the fella being served behind us was told in no uncertain terms that he would be asked to leave if the place filled up. Clearly, customer service was not prioritised or appreciated during this visit and it really has put a real downer on visiting again. The rest of the staff are great and always polite. Shame one of them spoils it for the rest. Tea was nice and the flapjack wasn’t bad either. Would recommend to anyone as long as they don’t have the bad luck to be served by this individual.

Waited ages to be served some dog meat on a bun by a miserable woman. Completely different price to the menu said aswell. Never again, dive.

Called in to Fourways Cafe for a breakfast in the week. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Quality breakfast and good value for money. I would certainly recommend and will be visiting again. Dog friendly as well which was a bonus .

Visited for breakfast. Both food and service were excellent. Staff were really friendly and accommodating. Food was piping hot and was cellar freshly cooked. Will definitely be returning.

The best Full English Breakfast in the U.K!

Stopped in for breakfast mid week. Food was cooked fresh (not kept in a heating tray) and tasted great. Had a medium and large breakfast both included a hot drink, £8 and £10. We left feeling stuffed so very good value. The girl behind the counter was pleasant and efficient.

This is the place where we go to a lot. Today we called in to have food and drink. We asked them if they would just do scramble egg for my partner due to him having throat cancer and on a restricted diet. They blatantly refused NO. Which I think is totally disgusting as only wanted one egg. Ruth from Wrexham

Visited this J and S cafe on Monday 3rd October and was greeted by a delightful lady. I wasn't sure what to order and the lady helped me pick something I would normally eat. Prices are really reasonable. Very busy, but food was really quick. The ladies never stopped, seemed under staffed. When I was leaving lady on till gave big smile and bid me a farewell told me to ride safe. Will definitely return.

Would of been no stars, but the food was good, but the woman behind the counter, was rude and sullen, I said thank you as we left, and she totally blanked me and walked off. We won't be back.

Not that good but to be fair it was late in the day and appeared to be short staffed. I suspect once breakfast and lunch are out the way the main bulk of customers is done with. That said it's popular understandably with the motorcycle fraternity and is a welcome stop off for a snack and cuppa.

Used to be ok now it's more self service got to go pick up your food then take plates back ..next they will be expecting you to wash them ..wont be frequenting again.

Was a brilliant cafe. Now cold food. Covered in heaps of butter when ordered dry. Twice had sausages with bits of bone in them.

Been coming here for years for breakfast with my husband, food is nice, service is fast. Great place to meet up with other bikers.

Called into four ways cafe & ordered sliced cold ham two eggs & chips the ham was beautiful not wafer thin could thick slices two of them the chips were perfect light golden colour fresh cooked.The eggs were just right so I could dip my chips the meal was served on a dinner plate & filled & a large tea all for under a tenner.Just brilliant Garry.

Waited behind one other person to be served, once the person in front was served the lady behind counter just walked away into kitchen without uttering a word and did not return for a good five minutes. Totally Rude and unacceptable way to treat people, if you were short staffed and on your own, a simple few words explaining would have been appropriate, but ignorant and arrogant behaviour isn't. When you did return to the counter to serve myself and by then others waiting no explanation or apology was offered. Manners cost nothing, your business depends on customers. Try treating them a bit better.

Another visit to the cafe ruined by cold barely cooked bacon and an overly buttered bap. Do they not test the temperature of the bacon before serving it to customers??? I'm sure that's a health and safety requirement, or is it from yesterday??? It seems by other reviews this happens often, and the option of asking for crispy bacon is a cop out and blaming the customer for wanting actual cooked bacon, This is not the first time either. 2 stars are for 1, having vimto zero, and the second for the tea being ok👍

After many years of being a regular visitor I thought the staff member was a one off a few weeks ago but after returning today the older lady in charge is a very miserable an unhelpful her attitude is awful, bring back millie,we won't return,I thought you should be looking after your regulars not getting rid of them,really horrible lady who makes you feel your putting her out

Been visiting this cafe for years. Food is OK. Not the best biker cafe but not bad. Coffee poor. Lady on the counter with tattooed arm needs to improve her people skills.

Called in to the Fourways for a spot of breakfast after reading reviews. Plenty of parking outside. Place is clean and inviting. Service friendly & quick. Good breakfast choices all at reasonable prices, you can even build your own breakfast. Opted for the Fourways Full English, very tasty and very filling. Comes with 4 slices of bread and tea or coffee. Would certainly go again if ever in the area.

Not the best experience yesterday I'm afraid. The place was hardly busy, but the wait for just coffee & toast was bizzare. 10-15mins for just the toast!! 😳The coffee was Dire! Possibly the worst I've experienced for a very long time. Basically, it didn't taste of Coffee!. I did ask if they had any instant coffee granules, to install some quick coffee flavour back in ( Desperate Measures!!) but was, told something about it's only available for folk who have ordered a full cook breakfast, or something similar. It wasn't worth pursuing, life's too short! Hence it we all left.

You can’t substitute any items on the breakfast which is not really working with you and your dietary requirements. The lady on the till was very surly and just said no or we can take it off, wouldn’t of been too bad if she was regretful about it and apologetic. The wrong staff in public facing roles can make a real impact. The bacon also needs cooking properly instead of just showing it to the pan.

stopped at the Fourways cafe and grill after looking for some were to eat all i can say was the food was lovely fresh and very tasty best breakfast lunch we have had with a big mug of tea great value for money ,only one thing i would add is maybe somthing in place for a wheelchair user we did get in ok but somebody else may struggle,we will be back thou.

Most disgusting ladies loo filthy dirty,

Called in for a brew; as we only wanted a cuppa and a biscuit, was told we have to go outside or door on two stools at the back. Then she misheard my order and gave me items one and three as "she didn't hear the second one as I was wearing a mask"!! I was speaking at the same volume, so not my fault, Miserable Mare! Now they've run out of food so customers are leaving. What's happened here??? Serving staff are great, feel sorry for them!

Visited after a recommendation from the farm we were staying at in our touring caravan, for a great breakfast.. Brilliant recommendation, tasty bacon, sausage & blackpudding and served with a smile. Great value full English for £6. Will definitely be back and totally recommended 👍👍

If a bikers cafe is what you want with loads of choice for fried food full English breakfast chips burgers and veggie alternatives this is for you. portion size is good as is value for money. I will definitely be returning.

Food was edible, filled a gap. Waitress was miserable and fought tooth and nail for my cup of tea. Had to re queue for it. Nightmare!

Over many years I've been to many biker cafes and this is as good as any I've visited 😀 Good to hear on going chat about bikes when I visit these establishments....takes me back to when every Sunday was a meet up and ride out day back in the 70's with trips to Mallory Park and Oulton Park when I lived in Worcestershire. Lone biker these days 😐

Have eaten here about 4 times, every time have found something wrong with the food, but have not said anything because I understand mistakes can happen. The last time I ordered a full English with no beans and came with beans. Not hard to get an order correct is it? Just left breakfast and went. Today ordered full English again with no beans, it arrived and the plate was filthy, unwashed with dried egg and tomatoes on it. You would not do that at home so why serve that up in you cafe.

Bacon was undercooked an full of grease, egg on was on the verge of being poisonous, toast was burnt I also asked if I could substitute the mushrooms an black pudding for a piece of toast or something else to be told no we don't do substitutes foods gone disgraceful needs drastic measures before losing a lot of bike customers shame cause it's conveniently placed I also didn't want an tea or coffee an they still wouldn't substitute bit strange considering on the menu it says build your own breakfast an tbh the lady serving was a bit short with me if I was allowed to post 0 stars I would

Clearly a popular choice with bikers and greet no-nonsense, traditional cafe food. Freshly cooked and very tasty, nice crispy bacon and a proper mug of tea. A great choice for a quality breakfast with plenty of parking.
