The best restaurants serving Default food in Mirfield Kirklees Yorkshire and The Humber

Went today as I had won a fish and chip meal for 3 at a fundraiser. Was lucky to win it as only 3 in my family and was looking forward too it. Went with our tickets got our food and left. Staff absolutely fab. Got home and set it all out. Can honestly say best fish and chips we’ve had in a long time. Will be going again now

This was our first time here and we will absolutely be back again, the Sunday roast was one of the best I have ever had, the staff are great and the food was served so quickly. Thank you so much for such a lovely dinner, really big portion, plenty of gravy and all cooked to perfection!

We were enjoying some winter sunshine and a lovely walk in Mirfield. As we passed the cafe we decided to go in and get something to eat. What a fabulously lucky choice that was. The service, choices and quality were all superb. We both chose the pork baguette with chips and pigs in blankets. It came with a pot of apple sauce and a bowl of dipping gravy. YUM. Presentation was excellent and all looked very appetising. Indeed it was and we really enjoyed the food. We both agreed that we would certainly revisit if we were in the area.

Lovely fresh hot food and not greasy, my favourite chippy in the area. I would recommend.

Decided to have a take out 14/3 Picked up the order. TBF starters were pretty good - salt / pepper spare ribs / prawn toast.... Mains were v disappointing . All the meats were spongey and rubbery in texture . Curry ok flavour special satay bland ..... most of it ended in the bin ...... won't be going back and will prob go to a proper restaurant, pay a bit more but get much better quality....

Brilliant home cooked food and very good value.

Didn't like the meat samosa at all nor the sauce dip..The curry was ok .The Rice was over cooked and slightly soggy,I also thought the Nan Bread was under cooked enough for me..won't order again.

Went on a bank holiday. Decided to have a date night and enjoy a meal out. Food was not too bad at all. Lovely fresh pasta and great veal. Service was very slow and somewhat inattentive, but the biggest issue was the noise. The restaurant wasn’t packed, but I could not hear my partner on the other side of a table. No soft furnishings so the sound just bounces around. I Would not recommend for a date night where you actually want to speak to your partner. If you’re not bothered about talking to your partner then it’s perfect.

for this order everything was great, but I ordered previously and then cancelled they took the payment and didnt give a refund so people be aware that you dont always get your money back

An absolute disgrace of a bar. If I could give 0 stars I would. My friend got attacked in there and ended up with a fractured eye socket which needed operating to save his vision in that eye. Office refused to hand over any CCTV footage as they were protecting the assailant. Presumably because he is a regular customer. They refused to cooperate with the police. Would strongly recommend staying away from this bar.

Couldn't do enough for us. The owner gave up his day off to accommodate my father's funeral party. Can't sing there praises enough. A fantastic local with a decent selection.

When we called in at short notice I had an omelette and my husband had a breakfast. Both were very good indeed and we'll certainly return very soon.

Would have given it more stars as the location and deck area are lovely in the sun, but the food pricing was very disproportionate. We ordered two chicken/bacon/mayo sandwiches, they came with a drop of salad, the bread bun was big, but the filling inside was minimal… more lettuce than anything else. at over £10 per sandwich I did feel a little robbed, we’ll be back, but not for food.
