Old Bank Fisheries in Kirklees

Went today as I had won a fish and chip meal for 3 at a fundraiser. Was lucky to win it as only 3 in my family and was looking forward too it. Went with our tickets got our food and left. Staff absolutely fab. Got home and set it all out. Can honestly say best fish and chips we’ve had in a long time. Will be going again now

We use this fish and chip shop quite often brilliant service by pleasant assistants. Great to be able to order small pensioners portions. Shop is clean and tidy. Never had a bad takeaway. Always freshly made when we have visited and taste fantastic. Definitely recommend.

The fish, chips and w’bits are tasty enough but it makes a big difference when you’re friendly to customers who hand over their hard-earned. My rating would improve by 150% if staff smiled....

The is good fare. If you enjoy chip and fish cooked by a lady that knows what's she is doing, this is the place. No puns. I can not fault it except for the fact that they do not do Holland meat and potato pies.

Best fish with light and crispy batter and proper chips. You can’t ask for more than that from your local fish shop.
