JJ's Cafe in Kirklees

Have recently moved in nearby and pop in for a sandwich for lunch reasonably often. Haven't sat in all that often, but always lovely service, very friendly. The sandwiches are well filled, not short changed, although sometimes can have a bit too much salad cream and get a bit messy!

Don't know why not many people have reviewed this cafe, because it seems to do pretty good trade. Maybe because it's tucked away in a quiet part of Golcar.So - cafes in the valley are pretty variable. Either the food isn't quite right or the place is a bit grubby. Slaithwaite has five or six places you might go for breakfast, but none of them beats JJ's, 10 minutes drive away.It's not fancy, but it is clean and the breakfast comes on hot, spotless plates with a mug of tea and a slice of toast for four quid. Can't go wrong.

Had lunch. Very good meal was hot and tasty. Service very good but was very busy and not always enough room. Have been a few times here and would recommend it.
