The best restaurants serving Default food in Holme Valley North Kirklees Yorkshire and The Humber

This is a great find! Open until 3pm. We had toasties and tea. Toasties were incredible and well filled. Tea was perfect (wide range available) and the baked goods looked divine! The place has lots of original features as well and wonderful old photos of the local area.

didn’t try the food. the pub looks nice inside, but floors are dirty. staff (specifically the blonde with the fringe) was not so welcoming which wasn’t a nice experience, and kept giving us dirty looks. along with them playing the most depressing songs knows to man. didn’t really rate this pub, bad environment. pretty sure they were also laughing at us upon us leaving. i would give 0 stars if i could lol, bad vibes. maybe don’t give customers dirty looks when they walk in for no reason idk. a smile goes a long way (: -just a tip!

Very expensive for bog standard Chinese food, thanks but won't be coming back.

I’ve been looking for a local, top quality, full English breakfast for a while. Having tried three around Meltham, in my opinion this is the best. A combination of quality & value for money in a cafe setting. Yes, it has the feel of a “transport cafe” but there’s nothing wrong with that. If you’re looking for “genteel” this isn’t for you. However, if you’re looking for really good food with ordinary folk in a warm and welcoming place, then this is for you.

Another great cafe in Honley limited menu, but all the better for that

Wow this Cafe is terrible the food we had was shocking We were staying nearby and went in for a breakfast sandwich When we bit into the sandwich the bacon and sausage can only be described as hard and seemed like it had been reheated from the day before Such a shame as this is an iconic cafe There are other places to eat in the area we certainly won’t be going back

This was my first visit to Meltham Fisheries, and the staff were really welcoming and friendly. I ordered a large fish with chips & peas, the portion size was huge. Given that I had a fair distance to travel home, the staff also wrapped my meal foil so that it stayed hot. At home the meal was still hot and the potion size was huge, the complete meal was high quality and cooked in my opinion to perfection. I really enjoyed the food, especially the fish which was huge. I will certainly be visiting this shop again in the future. I cannot fault the service and quality of the food.

Excellent food with brilliant service from the young girl Meadow who was very friendly and always on hand. Will definitely be visiting again soon

This is the first & last time I order from here. I had a pizza & sownt the whole time on the loo afterwards with DV's. It's not always easy to identify what my hand caused the stomach upset but I didn't eat all the pizza in the same sitting but the results were just the same. If you're not wanting to spend a fortune on Andrex & Imodium tablets, do yourself a massive favour & avoid.

Great fish and chips. Terrific value. Superbly well kept beer. Friendly and attentive landlord. Could not fault this place.

We were served quickly at the bar and the server there was friendly however when we ate in the restaraunt, we found the food was greasy and the place seemed understaffed. It was reasonable priced but I probably wouldn't go again or recommend it to my family and friends.

Best pizza bar no fantastic love it.

We ate at the blue tiger adjoining the pub. It was 8amazing...every meal on our table of 8 was exquisite...we will certainly be back. The pub had a homely local feel and going by the table numbers is hugely popular. I'm not surprised
