Over years been here a few times and always had good service coffee and cakes. Called in on Thursday and ate lunch. We both ordered coffee and salads one tuna one hummus and although place was busy we would make our appointment. Well we did spot on food one of the best salads had in a cafe for a longtime. This wasnt the usual bit of lettuce cucumber and tomatoes but potato salad coleslaw peppers and packed with filling.

A trip to Honley is never complete without a visit to Cafe Loom. Whether it be for breakfast or brunch we have never been disappointed. We have enjoyed posh hot dogs, soup and special breakfast sandwiches, frequently followed by homemade cakes.

Had a up of coffee and one of the fresh scones was absolutely delicious! Staff very friendly will be definitely going back!

Called in for a coffee with friends at 2:30. Online, it said they were open until 5. Waitress starts sweeping around us at 2:55, and making noises to the effect that our custom was no longer welcome. Despite having checked online, and seeing that it was due to close at 5, I asked the waitress if they were closing early, today. No, she said, they always shut at 3:00, now. (I note that Trip Advisor says 3:30). Senior member of staff came over to tell me that if I was awaiting another friend, it was too late, because they were closing. So, I left my other friend finishing her drink whilst I went to settle up. £7 for 2 drinks. I took out my card… and they asked, ‘don’t you have cash?’. I haven’t carried cash since the pandemic - and told them so. They said they were trying to keep costs down. Have rarely felt so unwelcome in any establishment. As someone who works in customer service, I have to say that this is some of the worst I’ve come across. Such a shame that there isn’t a decent café in the village. Just don’t bother visiting, because they won’t bother to make you welcome.

Went in on a Saturday with friends and children young staff not knowing what they are doing manager looked extremely scruffy and extremely rude someone making coffees just as rude my advice avoid this cafe overpriced and very disrespectful staff

Ordered a cheese and onion toastie, it was made with a crust. This made the sandwich hard as the toastie machine compresses it. When I complained I was told they don't like waste. Will not be going again.

Got terrible service from the manager!! I'd never go back again and will be telling my friends not too. As someone who's worked in customer service for 20 years and as someone who's never complained in my life my experience was that bad I've been compelled to write a review. Will never return. Really rude and confrontational in there.

Disgusting experience rude manager and extremely over priced. Menu says they offer one thing but manager offers something else. Avoid at all costs unless you want an extremely rude woman serving you and dont go in with children as she clearly hates them

Highly recommend loved the home made cakes

Clean, spacious, friendly, well kept cafe. serving light bites, cakes and beverages. Great value for money, good selection of cakes and pastries. Staff couldn't do enough to help. Toilets clean and well stocked.

I was moved to another room to the back (out of the way) as I had a pram, only one high chair available and it was in use when I got there. No baby changing facilities. Not baby/child friendly at all. Staff seemed rude and we’re all sat round a table when I decided to leave, no help offered to get the pram down the steps outside. Won’t be going back!!

What a lovely peaceful place for afternoon tea.service with a smile food full of flavour. I could only eat half a sandwhich as l had been for an injection however one of the staff wrapped my half a sandwhich in foil and a bag thank you for that excellent place to take anyone's mum.clean quiet five star .

I have visited cafe loom on a number of occasions during my time living in the village. I have always found the staff to be extremely welcoming and friendly. I visited the cafe with my 2 year old son recently who has an allergy to milk and egg. I asked the waitress who came to take our order what was available for him to eat and expressed what his allergies were. The reply I received was an abrupt and rude 'ham'. Honestly, I was so shocked and taken aback by the comment that I was stunned into silence. The member of staff followed it up with 'well can he eat bread?' with the most unhelpful and abrupt tone. If I had not been sat with my 2 year old son, I would have left. In the end my son was able to have a cheese and ham toastie made with vegan cheese and milk free bread. I was left wondering as to why the answer to my question was not, 'yes we have milk and egg free alternatives, let me check for you.' It is completely unacceptable to be insensitive to allergies which is a medical issue that no one has any control over. The waitress' response was not only unhelpful, lacking in any customer service skill, but is was also in my eyes discriminatory. Whilst I know this one individual does not represent the whole of the workforce at cafe loom, I will not be visiting this cafe again. As a honley resident and local business owner it is a real shame that this is something which occurs in our overall friendly and community based village.

I regularly bring my kids to Cafe Loom. They always request it, mainly for the hot chocolates and chocolate chip shortbread biscuits. Situated within a flooring and gift shop it is a lovely place to come for brunch and lunch and really like the specials they put on. It's a small cafe but we have always been able to find a table. After opening up post lockdown they have sanitisers on entering, the table and chairs are fully sanitised after each customer and you can get the menu on your phone via a QR code (I think). You do have to walk up some stairs to get to the cafe and I am not sure if there are toilet facilities here (never had to use them) and it is in the centre of Honley, so great location.

Use this cafe a lot for drinks and lunch. Sandwiches and coffees are very good service is really good and very friendly.

I love this great shop and the cafe looks enticing. I am a visitor to the area and have shopped here before. Recently, with my eight-month-old granddaughter in her pushchair, I tried to enter the shop. Impossible as there are several steep steps. No worries. I asked a chap to help me up the steps. Once inside I added an assistant where the disabled access was thinking I could use that. “Haven’t got one.” Was his reply. “Isn’t that against the law?”, I said. “No. We’ve got four floors.” Whatever that means. So, no lift. I asked what mums with babies should do. “Carry them,” was his reply. I am reporting his words exactly. I would question that this place is exempt from making it accessible for disabled people and plan to speak to the local authority. But what I am more concerned about is the assistant’s slightly ‘pleased with himself’ attitude. He gave the impression that he absolutely couldn’t care less.No apology or feeling that he understood. So, great shop but only if you are able-bodied and don’t have small babies in tow.

The Wensleydale and apple chutney toasty in warm Granary bed with red cabbage coleslaw and couscous is my personal favourite. It competes with the frangipane tart however, the pastry for which is crumbly and light. A lovely place in which to do some Xmas shopping upstairs and have a coffee on my own or with friends. Always a warm welcome

Lovely friendly cafe in Honley, panini was full of chicken, mozzarella and tomato, hot beef sandwich was the best hubby had ever had.

We visit this cafe quite often to meet friends or just for a quick coffee or tea. It's a great cafe with very pleasant & helpful staff. They are happy for you to join tables together if you are in a group. However their website is out of date, it says they do afternoon tea but no longer do. Also beware if you have any mobility problems as there are six shallow steps to negotiate on entry & egress. We can highly recommend the carrot cake & the Bakewell tarts!!!

Called here whilst walking through the village, the staff on duty were very friendly and found us a table. We chose our drinks and they came very swiftly, they were all very nice. The place itself is very clean and tidy, great decor that you can actually buy as the building also seems to double as a kind of carpet/furniture shop. We enjoyed our stay

Just having a Panini which is delicious, as is the Flat White. Next time trying a Terry's hot chocolate orange. Yummy.

A comfortable cafe with helpful friendly staff but I was shocked to see a lady preparing sandwiches/panini's with no gloves or tonges and using her fingers to pick up the slices of bacon etc and place on the bread. Poor hygiene, a sure way to pass on bacteria.

I’ve been visiting this cafe for 18 months now after moving into Honley, each time I visit I am welcomed with a beautiful smile and chatter. No matter which staff is on duty the same treatment is given, I immediately feel welcomed with the staffs welcoming smiles, giggles and positive energy. On a grade of 1-10 (10/10 for welcoming), (10/10 to ensure my table and seat is clean), (10/10 when placing my order) (10/10 for the variety of choices on the menu), (10/10 for presentation of dishes they use), (10/10 for service of staff and in my presence 10/10 at how other staff are treated. Nothing is ever too much trouble at Cafe Loom and because of the lovely staff at the Cafe Loom I’ve made friends with other people in the village. It seems to have developed from a small coffee shop to a hive of social activity and friendships. ( P.S. THE COFFEE AND FOOD ARE SECOND TO NONE)

The drinks ere okay (Chail Latte lacked flavour) but all spoilt by not receiving one piece of cake and a toasted t cake! Drinks after 15 minutes were finished so decided to pay as we had obviously been forgotten about! When missing .food was mentioned the lady behind the counter (3 staff for roughly 20ish covers but busy talking throughout) rudely told me I was in a que despite 2 tables that ordered after me received there panini’s?? Disappointing

Friendliest cafe in Yorkshire! Best cakes, biscuits and scones, very delicious with wide variety of options including very tasty gluten free and vegan. Prices are very reasonable especially for the quantity and quality of the food. The baked items not only look beautiful but taste even better! Lunch menu is delicious as well.

What a little gem, visited here with my husband and 7 week old daughter who needed feeding just as our food arrived, they couldn’t have been more accommodating and even offered to keep my food warm while I fed her. My panini was lovely and the cake selection was fantastic.

We came across this little gem by accident as we were walking through the village of Honley .It is small compared to others but they make really good coffee and although the menu is not extensive there is enough choice and on Friday and Saturday they do a brilliant Hot Beef Sandwich with Onion Gravy.

We ordered sandwiches and when they were served they were superb and had a wonderful side salad. Prices are really good and it was a great place for lunch. The staff were really friendly as well

This was our second visit to Café Loom and today we just called for a coffee on our way home but decided on an early lunch and so pleased we did. The two ladies behind the counter are friendly and efficient. The sandwiches and cakes are mouth-watering and absolutely delicious.

We have been coming to this new cafe in Honley since it opened, it is always quite bus,y there are limited tables but the food on offer is excellent and freshly made in front of you !! Recommended !!

A lovely new cafe inside Dixon and Frank. The beef and horseradish sandwich was beautiful. The cakes all look amazing.
