The best restaurants serving Default food in Almondbury Kirklees Yorkshire and The Humber

Ordered a Chinese from here and now I’m 73% sodium. Pretty sure I’ve single-handedly dried out the North Sea. The food was so salty, I licked a chip and immediately had to check my blood pressure. Lovely packaging though — shame it’s the best bit. Wouldn’t recommend unless you’re a salt lick in search of a meal.

I've been behaving myself the last few weeks...as its my bday I though I'd treat myself and I have to say it was absolutely beautiful. thankyou so much x

Good people and good quality pizza and burgers

This chippy has just recently changed owners & also changed its name to “Traditional Fish & Chips” but the chips served to me won’t fully cooked? Also the fish batter had no taste & they’ve put the prices up! I was a regular customer who used to enjoy the previous owners food but these new people have no idea how to cook “traditional fish & chips” so i’ll definitely NEVER go again & take my valued custom elsewhere!!!

My food was gone of I got food poisoning from it and it was very nasty the the Donna meet was in little bit and it looked raw and a burger. The bread was just thick and soggy and the burger was disgusting. Chips not too bad. My reviews to people do not go there. I’m not ashamed to say this but they are bloody useless. I could get them shut down not a problem for the people who I know. So be careful people just thought I’d say.

Lovely food, helpful staff shame there weren’t more people in. I had the small breakfast, tasty and proper bread for toast.

Went to ask for table to be met by a shark smile and flared nostrils. Some confusion about if she would deign to give us a table. A sneery patronising snarl asked if we had reserved. We had not so we were asked if we would like to go upstairs. I am disabled but agreed I would get upstairs as the menu looked lovely and the coffee smelled delicious. Snarly face then said , 'well you will be waiting over half an hour if you do'. We left - a shame. Do the owners know they are losing business?.

Fantastic Sunday Lunch. Four of went on 23/2/25 - the starters were great - smoked trout pate with sourdough; three different roasts available for mains and a superb selection of vegetables; and a single portion of STP big enough for two, washed done with a lovely Chilean red - great food, great taste, great service, at a reasonable price - costs more than a big standard pub meal, but tasted far better, so overall great value. I hope it is available on a regular basis as I would highly recommend it and we will be back.

It was like going back 20 years. The sort of Chinese given as a child in 80’s, when I knew no different. Heavy sweet sauces, that were out of any jar bought from supermarket. Poor quality meat, chicken dish, crispy chicken, pretty certain frozen pieces of battered chicken? Certainly low quality. Ribs cheep, defrosted. Chow mein special. Noodles tasted stale. Although nice vegetables. 1/4 duck. Wasn’t so bad. More pancakes. Really not good at all. Really missing a trick as service lovely and restaurant location excellent. Look up Blu Eye Panda in Manchester, or go to Yum Cha again in Manchester for an example of high quality Chinese food. Really disappointed as now local to area .

We didn't have to book a table and our order was served quickly. The food was very good and was excellent value for money.

Ovbs Cant Beat A Maccies But This Place Needs More Attention Clean Tables And Floors More Food Was Good Though

Had two pizza from spice House this evening, really disappointed, they were like toast with a few toppings and hardly any tomatoe base. I spoke to them about the thin base and they said its the way the dough rises, bloody disgusting. Poor customer service, we're much better before new management took over.

We had a breakfast this morning and all can I say it was rubbish totally cold egg could have bounced off the wall everything dripping with fat mushrooms no taste, the best thing was the toast and butter won’t be going again
