I left a note and now this review. The breakfast was inedible. We waited 20 minutes for you to overcook it, had you brought it out earlier it would not have been so. Look at your ratings and start giving a damn. Food today is so expensive, and you seem to think it is fine to sell this breakfast. Why not employ someone who can actually cook. Or find a store manager that understands quality control. Your a disgrace for such a large chain, and no one is doing anything about it, disregarding customer reviews. Get a grip, get a cook, get your store manager in the loop.

One of the best breakfasts I have ever had no exaggeration. Greece free superb quality sausage really tasty perfect eggs lovely bacon don't usually wax lyrical about a breakfast but this really was top class and not a drop of oil on the plate. Can't wait to go again just for the breakfast

If you like cheap, poor quality food most of which is cold or undercooked, then look no further. I have been to this cafe a few times but today really was awful. Nice waiting staff but this is not why you go to a cafe. Scrambled eggs were from powder. The only positive was the toast with breakfast and a free kids meal. Sorry.

I had a toasted current teacake. I would like to say it was nice but I cannot only received 1 butter pack for 2 halves if teacake. When asked if I could have extra butter was told no they didn't give extras out. I am sorry but half a pack of butter just doesn't stretch to spreading over half a teacake. Come on morrisons we don't all like dry toasted teacakes for breakfast.

I have reviewed this cafe a couple of years ago and it was terrible then. Thought two yrs later it must have improved. Sadly no, it's simply the "pits". We ordered a full all day breakfast plus pie and chips and a couple of bottled water. This came to nearly £16. We had to clean our own dirty table before seating. When the meals arrived the overall look of it was disgusting. The chips looked like they'd been in and out of the frier so many times they'd given up trying to look edible. The breakfast offering was appalling. The sausages were terrible quality without flavour. The bacon was burnt to a crisp and also of terrible quality. The beans were cold as was the tomato. The mushrooms burnt and flavourless. Now let's speak egg. The poached egg I ordered was hard as rock and unrecognisable as an egg. I called a member of staff who said . "Oh they're all like that. We don't make them fresh we buy them in like that and warm them up". Unbelievable. The hash browns were ok, as was the pie my wife had. Before you leave the cafe you also clear your own table, so pretty much no service at all. You even order at a machine. When leaving I pointed out to the staff member I'd spoken to about the egg , the disgusting food that we'd been served,and I made it clear to her what I thought. She said. "I know it's terrible, I definitely wouldn't eat here", in a rather "do I look bovered" manner. She definitely meant she wouldn't eat there. I pointed out to her that she worked in a supermarket full of fresh food so the food should be much better. She ignored me and went in the kitchen. I advise people not to eat in this location. Find somewhere else to spend your money. Morrisons cafe you truly are terrible, and Morrisons as a company should be damn ashamed.

Had a really nice piece of chicken, nice coffee, and coleslaw, gave order for desert, after twenty three minutes overhead some new customers saying that no deserts left, never informed this by customers, left offspring in car for a extra twenty three minutes for nothing, paid for food that was not forthcoming.

We ordered via the self service machine and found the system fairly easy to use. One minor issue, Would like to be able to add extras but was able to remove stuff as required. Very quick and intuitive though. Their was a counter service for those who need it. The attendant their was giving great customer service, this was easily observed. The hot drinks machines were all fully stocked and a good selection provided. Not a barista style but was as expected and required. The food range catered for my Son and I. He’s a vegetarian and had plenty of options. Vegan options were also available. Overall both of us were really impressed with the quality and price of the food. Service was provided by friendly staff who engaged with the customers. Service was very quick also. The only reason we gave 4 and not 5 stars was my son’s insistence that he should get two hash browns with his vegetarian brekkie. I however got two with the ultimate brekkie so I personally have no complaint!

Cold breakfast,*ò totally un-eatable,waste of over £12, this from a retailer where I spend over £100 a week on food and fuel,needs some quality control on the food,and a bit of staff training on being pleasant

Arrived at the cafe for a bite to eat before our weekly shop. As soon as we entered we were aggressively shouted at by one of the kitchen staff that if we wanted to pay by card then to use the self check out. Be brushed it off and did so. We had paid for refillable drinks but there were none anywhere to be found and no signage so we joined the queue to ask where we got them from. The rude lady behind the serving hatch shouted at us again about paying by card. We asked if we needed to queue up for disposable cups and she replied "who are you giving attitude to?". We explained she was shouting at us for no reason and she said "I cant be arsed arguing with you". I asked for the duty manager as I was gobsmacked at how bad this was. The duty manager arrived shortly after and apologised and refunded the meal for us as we had spent £20 on two breakfasts and two hot drinks. Cannot fault the store duty manager, he was very professional and understanding. Honestly I've never experienced service like this. Very disappointing as other morrisons stores are much better. Get better signage explaining the till is cash only and what happens with cups etc rather than rudely shouting through your three teeth through the serving hatch at paying customers. If you don't like your job, go elsewhere.

Visited the cafe again today. The food is pretty fair and the prices are OK. Unfortunately almost all the tables were messy going on filthy. Of the two coffee machines only one was working, and that only filled the mugs half full. Improvement needed.

Called in early just after 9am, plenty of staff but they were all faffing around doing a display of sorts. Ordered a full breakfast and hot chocolate. The hot chocolate had no taste so swapped for another, the fork I pick up wasn’t clean so needed another and the table I had picked had egg all over the edge of the table which I cleaned off with the napkin. Picked that table as when you order you need to put in a table number and the order desk is where you walk in so it’s the first table number I could see. Food came out quickly but was dreadful. Rock hard bacon which you struggle to cut with the knives they provide, egg was nearly hard ( I cleaned more yolk off the edge of the table ), sausages were burnt and overdone and the toast just about qualified as toast. Should probably have sent it back but by this point I just left most of it and headed back out to the car without picking up the shopping. Clearly all the food had been pre cooked then just put on the plate. Not worth the effort as can’t even fry an egg. Cost over £8 so it’s not a bargain by any means. Just a dreadful experience I won’t take again.

Went in with family and were told we were lucky to be served as it’s 5.20 (board says they close at 6?). Then had to listen to two / three old moaning women staff talking loudly across the cafe about how they shouldn’t be serving anyone as don’t get paid after 6 and that management are stupid!!!! Whilst there two ladies were getting refund for what looked like cold breakfasts whilst an old man (that had complained gravy was cold) that this was why they shouldn’t have served him so late! He was there before us and we arrived at 5.20! So having bought 2 adult meals and 2 children’s we then felt rushed as one old hag hovered around our table making us feel rushed. Before even 6 she said that they close at six. At this point I had had enough and told her if she had this much issues she really should speak to management rather than moaning loudly in front and at PAYING customers!!! Morrison’s really needs to sort this branch out and GET NEW STAFF! I bet the takings for this cafe are Kak compared to your others of which I have been to many and have no complaints about. But this one….. wow. I don’t think I’ve ever complained to someone’s face in a cafe before but the experience those staff gave myself/family and others was unacceptable. Have noted many other complaints saying similar on here too. Think Morrison’s management really need to sort this! I would (I work in retail and would not accept this in any of our stores!!)

Before COVID, this place was great - lovely food with staff who cared. My, how things have changed in two years. Had two 'cooked' breakfasts. Note the use of inverted commas. The tomatoes hadn't been anywhere near a heat source in their lives, they were just raw and cut in half. Same for the black pudding. The hash browns had been shown a heat source, but only fleetingly as they were cold in the middle. The bacon was grey and fatty, looked like it had been dispensed from a packet that had been left out for a few days. The coffee I ordered from the automated menu did not appear on the menu on the actual coffee machine. When I asked about this, a bored member of the staff said "just get something else, Love". If I'd have wanted something else, I'd have ordered something else, right? What a terrible place - avoid at all costs.

Called to store for shopping and a light lunch. Ordered fish goujon sandwich and a latte on the self service screen and pay by card. This is 1.30p.m. on a Monday and the restaurant has 5 people sat at tables...not exactly busy! I am not sure where to go next, do I help myself to a cup or let a member of staff know I am here. Saw the cake selection, and debated if I might treat myself. I wait...no staff on the counter. I wait, but no one appears. So over to the coffee machine, where there appears to be two coffees already made and another gentleman appears at the till, looking for some help, to no avail. I pour a latte, help myself to condiments and go to my table. Once seated I try my drink and it is not even luke warm. I go back to the machine and consult a member of staff, only to be told that ( whilst she is looking at the machine, which is by now doing a self clean), that it is the correct temperature. I am told milk burns at anything over 65°s and because someone sued Morrisons, they can no longer have hot coffee, in case someone gets scalded. The coffee machine is next to the boiled water for tea, by the way. Whilst trying to achieve a hot drink, I notice my food, is by now sat on my table going cold. I still have to find a member of staff for vinegar ( which is behind the staff counter). Haven't been to Morrisons for a while as my last visit was disappointing....lets see how a shop goes 🤔. I understand it can be dangerous if drinks are too hot, I also realise that this complaint is more than frequent here, as the staff are very well versed at explaining that coffee should not be a hot drink anymore, along with quoting the law to boot. BUT..come on Morrisons we want to have a decent temperature drink or it should have a menu change ( luke warm drinks). Not usually a usual complainer, but this just makes me want to shop elsewhere, and I thought you should know.

these and all morrisons must be the worst in all the country must be the worst in the all the UK the management does not have a clue what is going on in there stores for the past few months i have visited the stores and still never yet had a jacket potato they list in there menu what they list this is a total joke this so called managers of these stores have not got a clue what is going on or they can not be bothered i think do they no what a manager is to run a successful store or are these fools just clowns they find o no sorry clowns no what they do. this store needs to shut there cafe so called restaurant's not give it up you are a laughing stock in my day a manager new what to do as i see you are selling up god help the new buyers as i would not give you any thing for your stores you should pay them to get rid of you what a joke you are,

Went for lunch as In the past I found the food quite good. Not any more!! It was awful. The coffee was cold. The food was terrible. Tikka masala apparently chicken. Not sure where the chicken was 🤷‍♀️ and it was cold. Southern fried chicken fillet!! Again terrible and certainly not worth money charged. Three meals £26.50!! We could have gone to weatherspoons and had better and cheaper. Never again and I do not recommend..

Popped in one rainy afternoon for a quick coffee to warm up. None of the coffee machines were working, there were numerous tables of people sitting who had clearly been waiting a long time for food, then when we waited in the queue to order a coffee from the only member of cafe staff, we were rudely shouted at by a member of the kitchen staff who told us we ‘had’ to use the self serve machine. I said politely that I didn’t like using those as you have to put in a table number and you can’t see them from the machine. Plus, we were already in a queue so were happy waiting. She then said she couldn’t hear me because I was wearing a mask and just told me I had to use the machine if I wanted to be served. We chose to walk out and go elsewhere.

Seriously, don’t waste your time or money no matter how hungry you are! Not even worth a detailed review. Have to give a 1 star rating as I can’t give 0!

Well where do i start tried ringing morrisons and was given ten options but did not get to speak to anyone just a silly answering machine giving silly options very frustrating all i want to do is speak to a human being.tried again could not speak to a human being .also i have amazon vouchers to spend at morrisons so i went on the website but it said i had requested an invitation and morrisons will be intouch so i can shop that was six days ago my poorly grandmas fridge is empty as morrisons have not got back to me to let me shop.i will never shop at morrisons ever again.lazy slack even pathetic.who ever manages these services realy need to question there job role because it is hidious not a clue pathetic supermarket or not so super.goodbye morrisons hello sainsburys.pathetic discusting.

I visited the store for the NHS hour i was treated as though i had a disease the staff member with red shoulder length hair asked me if i could read, if so them to read the sign on the floor and told a gentleman to get away from her! She threw my nhs badge back at me after checking it. I will not be returning.

I have visited this cafe often, and never had an issue with the food. Popped in today and enjoyed a lovely baked potato with Prawn cocktail. Plentiful portion, and the prawns were very large. Great value at £3.95. Staff are always friendly and the chap on the till today was really friendly.

It's not a big Shop but has just about everything you need. We stopped for a Coffee and it's very clean. Worth the visit.

Going to a supermarket cafe; you don’t expect much. But Morrison’s cafe, was beyond poor standard. The cafe was dirtyThe selection of food was bland The food was crapWe ordered pudding, to wait 20 minutes. I then found a waiter, and told him. He said he would sort it. After waiting around I went to the counter to be told it would come. To then be told they’ve ran out. Poor poor service! Will not be stopping by after finishing shopping again!

The food here is great value for money and the quality is great too. Three family meals with drinks for £18.. You can't go wrong..

I ordered the quorn sausage and egg on toast. Was exactly what you'd expect, not bad food and cheap enough price.

Went for brunch at morrisons cafe decided on a small breakfast for me and asked for a runny poached egg instead of a fried one!! My son had a bacon and sausage sandwich in white bloomer, I know I ordered a small breakfast but why pile it on to a small plate so it's all falling off!! Hard fried egg instead of runny poached, watery beans instead of heinz baked beans has advertised!!! 2 slices of normal white bread not bloomer with bacon and sausage as advertised and to finish nasty plastic tumblers that need throwing away need I say more yuk what a nice start to my weekend

2 sausage and 1 piece of bacon sandwich £2.50, really nice, good latte and friendly staff , great!!!

Walked in a little bit ropey from the night before. My beautiful friend Sara drive me over. Glad she did. Top quality sausage sandwich and a pint of San Miguel all before lunch. Sorted me right out guv. Recommended

Went in for a breakfast, spent the whole morning. You can have a pint of San Miguel with your breakfast and then hit up the party store. There was a dinosaur. And a shuttle bus because they know you’re there for the day on the sesh. Literally a dream factory

.. have been visiting here since it opened years ago and often recommended it for a good value meal . Can’t believe how poor it is since makeover . Not enough staff to take orders - no I don’t want to order on a computer! I like to talk to a person !! The food was fine when it came but the menu is now much more complicated. My son is a coeliac. Now the omlettes have gone the breakfast menu is limited and not even gluten free bread !

Called In for breakfast . Ordered poached egg with hollandaise and bacon. Described as on Morrison’s makes it granary bloomer. Came 2 slices brown bread all skipped on no care taken poor taste poor quality . Coffee just ok. Don’t expect the world from a supermarket cafe but someone needs to at least take some pride in what they are serving .

Decided to have an early tea before shopping. Fish and chips for me, Pizza for my wife. The first thing we noticed was that it looked like the store cleaner had finished early judging by the amount of rubbish on the floor.

We are from South Africa a d while traveling through Ireland and the UK we did trouble to visit a d experience the various shopping malls and honestly I must say that Morrison is quite an experience. Good variety, prices acceptable (our rand is R19 to £1). Everything looks so clean and fresh.

I visited with my young son for lunch prior to shopping and it was absolutely awful.

Ordered mini brunch breakfast, ask for poached egg. It took a while to order and pay because they were short of staff, one at the till, two or three clearing tables and serving food. I waited while the woman on the till ran over to refill the milk machine . Took a while for the food to arrive and when it did it was very disappointing, firstly the eggs were fried ( just slapped on top of the chips full of grease) and not poached, the sausage was very cheap and deep fried! It was only lukewarm too. They have used the cheapest produce, it was horrible, I wouldn't feed it to my dog!

First time I had been in the cafe since they altered it. Very haphazard. We ordered a toastie but was not advised that chips and salad were included. Consequently I had to leave my meal on the table to start looking for cutlery. Had to ask another customer as no staff around. When I found them there were no forks. I asked a member of staff who shouted to someone to bring some forks out. I waited but as they did not appear I had to eat my meal with my fingers as it was starting to go cold. I also had to ask where the trays were, as I could not see a sign anywhere. The meal itself was mediocre and not very warm. The toastie was toasted on one side only, the other piece of bread being soggy. People were wandering about looking for things and there appeared to be no organisation whatsoever. I won't be eating there again.

This Resturant has just been re modelled and it’s no improvement. The staff don’t have a clue and the presentation of the food is poor. It’s not long since they modified the Resturant and that wasn’t bad but this new design is rubbish. It will be a long time before we go again. Sorry

Ordered full English breakfast & was extremely disappointed. The sausages were barely warm & were NOT freshly cooked, more like from the day before. The bacon was pink, hash browns over cooked, had to remind staff for our toast. Only good thing was you could refill your drinks.

Took my granddaughter for lunch as I have done once a week for the last 12 months or so. She likes the boxes with the 5 items for £3 which are quite good value.

Myself and my little boy have started having dinner here after our weekly shop and we love it...we’re made to feel very welcome and the staff always have a natter with me which is nice. It is absolutely fantastic value for money with their kids eat free after 3pm offer and unlimited hot drinks for just a couple of pounds. On our most recent visit they didn’t have what I initially ordered but offered an alternative which was lovely, the portion sizes are so good for the price. See you next week :)

Top of the top five of the big supermarket chains.....but.... this one is out of town, about 3 miles. You don't have the usual hectic and stressful shopping experience. Staff also seem more relaxed and help to make my weekly shop go easy.

Called into Morrisons (Waterloo) today to do a small shop and lunch in the cafe. The store has been refurbished since my last visit so took longer than normal to find my way around. I was feeling hungry after my shop so decided to try the refurbished cafe. I ordered scampi and chips at 11.53 and paid at the till - all good, no probs and the staff on the tills, as usual, were quick, efficient and polite. I ordered a latte but the system has changed and you help yourself now to coffee out of a machine away from the till area. This caused quite a queue and some frustration between a few of us because the cutlery and sauces are next to the coffee machines and people were helping themselves to pockets full of sauces rather than one sachet whilst others, including myself, were queueing to get cutlery. I then discovered there wasn't any forks (or spoons) so we alerted staff to this. We were all stood hanging around for a good 10 minutes. Meanwhile the very weak coffee out of the machine was going cold before cutlery arrived from the kitchen.

Two children two adults quick tea before shopping. Nope 55 minutes for a pie with the oldest lettuce known to man (should have never seen a customer) and scampi dirty plate and old oil! Run out of most things and it's only 6 pm need I remind you we're in a supermarket. No cutlery or milk, seemed to wait an age for one of the team to replenish. Not enough team on or poor training, I'll let you decide mr morrisons but your service levels fall far below where the should be.

I meet with a friend once a month for a coffee and chat which the cafe is ideal for. The staff are polite towards us. We have had the Christmas lunch on December which was very good. Not had a meal there for some time but looking around.others seem to enjoy theirs.

I've visited a few times in past month for my dinner, as we are in the process of having a new kitchen fitted. The average wait for my meal has been about 15mins, but it's all cooked fresh to order, so I don't mind the wait. I would say that my meals have been enjoyable (in particular the scampi). The staff can get a bit flustered with the till, but on the whole are friendly. Yes, I would revisit.

My family and I popped in for lunch and we waited for 50 minutes. My four year old got very agitated and we all became very hungry. We expected a better service as it's just been refurbished. We weren't the only people who had been waiting along time. We think they need more staff on especially at busy time.

We visited for breakfast one morning and was not disappointed. The quality is good, mushrooms tasted lovely, and overall enjoyable.

Called in to do shopping. Friendly staff. Clean store. Very helpful. Loads of choice. Better than tescos. Restaurant lovely clean hot food. Perfect. Call again.

Normal Morrisons Cafe- no issues at all -they do OK Coffee -food is served in 20 mins - You get whats paid for really.

Good value, English cooked breakfast, hot & tasty, just as required. nothing fancy but clean, decent & fast friendly service. No washing up to do either! A bit of a treat at the weekend before shopping & car washing.
