Sugar & Spice is such a friendly & welcoming café! The coffee is definetly the best in town, there is a wide variety of tea options to choose from, and also cold drinks! Sacha’s homemade soup is stunning & the variety of cakes/treats are fantastic! Highly recommend, you don’t want to walk past this gem!🥰

What a gem of a cafe, faultless breakfast, great, friendly service by Bronte and Olivier. No little ramekin of beans here, a good portion in a large bowl, two rounds of toast, two sausages, two hash browns, two rashers of bacon, two eggs, mushrooms and six halves of grilled fresh tomatoes. Sauce of choice. £6.50 excellent value and a stones throw from car park. Highly recommend, will go for lunch next time!

¡El mejor desayuno que he tenido! A pesar de que solo tenía una versión 'vegetariana' del desayuno completo que estaba en el lugar. La masa madre es una gran adición y la mejor masa madre que he tenido. Me encantaron las judías caseras también. Mi marido tenía el inglés completo también y absolutamente me encantó. No veo la hora de volver.

Brekkie brillante en una caja. Gran relación calidad-precio desayuno en una caja para llevar, relleno de ingredientes decentes y servido con una sonrisa. Opciones para verduras a horas más tranquilas y una muy buena selección de sarnies.

I was staying with friends at a nearby caravan site. We found the Old Vicarage and ate there three times during the week. On quiet days they even delivered food to our site nearly 1 mile away. The food was always excellent. The highlight for me a large tasty lamb shank with roast potatoes and 6 (yes six) different vegetables. On Sunday afternoon I went back on my own to complete my survey! It was Mother’s Day and had to sit outside in the sun with lovely views waiting for a fantastic prawn sandwich with side salad and then a cream tea. There was a wait but well within expectations given the restaurant was fully booked. I found all the prices VERY reasonable. We will definitely be returning. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

Lovely place to stop when you're out on your bike. Lots of bike accessories, a repair service and great advice. The lunches are awesome and the coffee is fabulous! If you don't pop in here on your way through you're certainly missing a treat!

Visited The Folly a few days ago for afternoon tea for a special birthday. Would highly recommend. Lovely food, place and service. Really good, thank you 🙂

Visité este encantador café con la familia, y tuvimos una experiencia maravillosa. Desde el momento en que entramos, nos hicieron sentir muy bienvenidos, y fue genial ver lo perro - amigable el lugar es. La sopa del día era absolutamente deliciosa - coliflor y sopa de maíz dulce. Era abundante y lleno de sabor. Disfruté de una olla de té de hojas sueltas, que era perfecto para calentarme en un día frío. Los pasteles también eran divinos — frescos, sabrosos, y el regalo perfecto para completar nuestro almuerzo. Este es un lugar encantador que recomiendo encarecidamente, ya sea que visite con la familia, amigos o sus cuatro compañeros de piernas. Definitivamente volveré!

Decepcionante. Tuvimos una comida encantadora aquí hace aproximadamente un año, pero no tan afortunado en la segunda visita. Me dijeron que no podía pedir pollo Teriyaki ya que era necesario para el menú de compartir de San Valentín, pero el lugar estaba vacío y casi vacío más tarde cuando nos fuimos! ¡Me preguntaba quién iba a compartir! Ala de coliflor de búfalo” eran 3 pequeños floretes fritos en masa, rehogados en salsa de chile dulce, apenas “asados y sazonados con ajo y pimentón” y la “hamburguesa de pollo con suero de mantequilla crujiente” era definitivamente crujiente - demasiado cocido y masticable, servido con algunas patatas fritas muy mediocres. Mi consejo es que te quedes con los pasteles que se veían bien. El hotel y el pub parecen encantadores y dan ambiente de hotel de campo, pero la comida no coincidía con esta vez.

Excellent fish and chips, sit down chippy. Serves bottled beer if you fancy it.

Fuimos el sábado pasado, el personal era encantador, pero la comida era lo más destacado. Es un pop BYOB está disponible entonces. Pedimos un plato de gambas reales y un plato de cordero con pan nan. Las porciones eran geniales y ambos sabían increíble. Mi nana de ajo era el mejor que había comido, en realidad se podía agitar el ajo alrededor del nana. Definitivamente volveremos 👍

Really great family feel to this little gem of a cafe, staff were very friendly and welcoming (even though they were exceptionally busy) food was excellent I had the chicken burger and my partner had a tuna pannini both of which were excellent. Prices are very reasonable and this place is well worth a visit and we look forward to our next time
