We stayed in Tosside Yorkshire for a family holiday from Scotland and looked to go out for dinner on our last night. We came across, The Old Vicarage Tearoom and we were so pleased we booked a table. All we said from the moment we took our first bites until we cleared our plates was WOW! The food was cooked to perfection. Two of us had Minted Lamb Pie, chips and peas and everything was all home made. Others had steak, never seen steak the size of a plate and cooked to requirement with no fat or complaints. And others had scampi. Couldn’t fault anything. If you want a delicious worth every penny meal out then we highly recommend. Make sure you book in advance as it’s a very small beautiful & quirky and can get booked up quickly. Complements go out to the amazing chef and host. If we have to travel from Scotland to eat here again we will. It’s amazing. Please book and try, we promise you will be amazed.

Had a lovely night at The Old Vicarage tearooms, fantastic food, great company and extremely good value for money. We ordered four meals and they were all delicious and home-cooked brilliantly! Traditional, excellent afternoon tea and scones for us after a long walk. The house is in a fantastic setting with views into both Yorkshire and Lancashire and has indoor and outdoor seating. The scone was home baked and beautiful as well as generous in size with plenty of butter jam and cream, and the tea was good quality, in a pot with extra hot water. It was also very good value in comparison to the lesser offerings in many tourist hot spots, as is the rest of their menu. This is a must after cycling or walking around Lisburn Forest.

Only criticism I have is things seemed to running out on Tuesday, they are closed Wednesday and Thursday and I think the restock on Fridays.

Beautiful location. We found a table which seated 4 in the shade as it was a belting day but there was only 2 of us and a dog so we were fairly abruptly “asked” to move to a table for 2 in the sun. Food was ok, nothing exceptional. However, the wait…it wasn’t the busiest but we waited ages and ages. In the end, we had to leave before everything arrived. The chap taking orders is probably best described as “down to earth” or “business-like”. If you have time to wait, don’t mind impersonal service, ok food but with a great view, then this place will be right up your street.

Old Vicarage about 6 times now, every time we stay in the area. The food menu is very wide reaching and the quality is absolutely out of this world. The price is extremely reasonable. Try the slow cooked lamb on the bone and the adult trifle. The only fault we could find is that payment has to be made in cash or direct to the owners' bank account. So you need a smart phone and a bank app. to pay direct to their bank. The restaurant has brilliant WiFi access with a quirky password. No cards are accepted which could catch out first time visitors.

Stumbled across this very pretty place on our way to Alnwick so stopped for a tea break. Very quaint, very rural with spectacular views, with an extensive menu on blackboards outside, but was a little disappointed to be served tea in a paper cup and husbands cake was on a paper plate with a plastic fork. They seemed very busy so must be using an awful lot of throw away plates etc! Tables were spaced out well outside, except for when walking around from the car park at the back, to the tables at the front, there are a couple of tables along the narrow path that we had to walk down to get to a vacant table, and it is impossible to social distance at that point. There is a lawn alongside these tables so the natural solution would be to ignore the 'Dont walk on the grass signs' and walk across the lawn. I was also a bit concerned after leaving and realising that no one had asked for a contact number for track and trace. Government guidance says that, even if only having a drink outside, all venue must take a contact number, and yet they didn't.

Pre COVID a regular cycling visitor and enjoy the quaint ambience and good homemade pies and delicious chips. But now everything is in throwaway disposable cartons and foil. It really spoils the food and the experience, there is no toilet and you have to go across the road to use the outside loo at the village hall ( which ironically was not very clean and tidy or COVID safe) we asked for water and after initially being told no ( by the blunt patron ) we were given a plastic glass by the lovely efficient young waiter. My chips were not upto the usual standard and over all it was a shame. My wife asked for a savoury cheese sandwich but got a very bland offering with no dressing on the salad. Very sorry to write such a negative review because the young woman who cooks and manages the cafe is usually on top of things and the place is very welcoming.I’m not convinced the COVID-19 regulations insist on the use of such throwaway cutlery and plates etc it’s such a waste and the food tastes bland. Think of the environmental cost of everything going in to black bin bags.

Eat twice during a week's holiday in Bowland. Both times sat outside due to COVID but our party of 7 including three children eat heartily and with superb locally sourced ingredients very well cooked and served by most pleasant staff. Highlight - home made pies. Gammon steak. Deserts all excellent.Service is not quick which is in many ways assuring. Owners very kindly allowed the children to pet new born rabbits after ordering. The premises are licensed. Incredible value with 7 eating with drinks at £110.Worth finding especially on a good day with Pendle Hill and Pen Y Ghent views to enjoy

My second time visiting in lovely sunshine.Whilst this is a long way to travel, it cannot be faulted. Good friendly service. Plenty of food choices, more than anywhere I’ve been. Top quality fresh food, healthy choices, naughty choices, very reasonable cost. I chose poached salmon in wine, mashed potato and a side salad..... not your mundane salad either. It had everything in it! Cost £9.95.You can sit inside for an oldie worldie feel or outside to enjoy superb views on a good day.Popular with cyclists.

On first entering you think your going into someone’s house & the owner comes to greet you, don’t be put off we were at first as we went for just tea & cake after a long walk but on entering it was fully booked & as a waiter passed us with a pie we asked if we could book in for tea as there was 10 of us. Arrived for tea & there was so much choice from a quick snack of sandwiches to a full meal, plenty of pies to choose from, steaks, burgers, home cooked chips. Be prepared to wait as all food cooked to order but on the tables are quiz games, music games, trivia so had good fun while waiting. There are also plenty of cakes, puddings, scones all homemade & delicious we went back 3 times in the week we were staying nearby, would have been 4 but it was closed. Cannot recommend enough.

Wow talk about a time lapse we were transported back in time here so quirky /nostalgic, ye olde furniture & deco, trivia questions on the tables, food was made fresh just like ya mom used to, thought we'd walked through a bygone era when we walked through the doors. Oh they only take Cash no cards

I was a little unsure when I first arrived because it’s like walking into someone’s house and sitting in their dining room. But we soon embraced it and actually enjoyed it being so different. This is called the old vicarage and rather than the building having its heart ripped out and modernised into a new restaurant the interior of the vicarage has been preserved and celebrated. I loved having my cup of tea in a proper China teacup with saucer. I also loved the little boxes of quiz questions on the table. The staff were lovely and attentive and the value for money is excellent. Of course above all else the most important thing is the quality of the meals, I wasn’t disappointed. The food was delicious. Before we left I was planning what I’d order next time I came in! So glad we stumbled upon this place and can’t wait until we are back over that way to visit again.

Dropped in for a cuppa after a mountain bike ride and ended up staying for dinner. Both had home made pie which was spot on. It's nothing grand with quirky decor but ticked all the right boxes. Little board games on the tables was a nice touch.

Recommended by a couple we met on nearby caravan site, and then again by couple who were sat outside. We ordered a light lunch, (Ham & Eggs and a Cheese & Tomato Panini), both of which were absolutely fabulous. The salad served with the Panini was fresh, varied and delicious. The chips served with both dishes were obviously home cut & cooked and also delicious. We had an apology because the ham had only just come out of the oven and was still warm! (They normally serve it cold, we were told). No need for the apology, it was lean, tasty & tender! We sat outside as it was a sunny day, but went inside to see the specials board which was very tempting, so we will be going back to try a full meal! Inside is a little quirky, but charming also. Outside has great views. The staff were attentive, friendly and helpful, including flat cap man! Again, a real find!

We booked to have a meal/gathering with all our friends and family after our wedding last weekend. The staff at Krafty Kitchen were great and we were given the upstairs area for our wedding meal. The food was great and the service was good. Communication was so good before the wedding as well and everything was perfect. Thankyou so much.

I’ve lived near ingleton my whole life (35years) and genuinely I was so happy when these guys set up. The food is really very special. The burgers are out of this world…especially the buttermilk chicken burger. Hands down the best burger around here and the they have loads of beers on offer if you’re into that. Good non alcoholic options as well if you’re driving! Phone up to get in early as it understandably fills up.

Came for lunch today and the food and service was absolutely fantastic. We are local and have been for dinner a couple of times but never for lunch. Its definitely one of the best restaurants in Skipton for sure.
