Me and my partner had Sunday lunch, what a cracking lunch too fairly priced and all home made. Best Sunday lunch we have had in a very long time. Pub had a good selection of ale and staff super friendly

my other half is a board game nerd. I booked him a birthday party months ago which we had today. It was fantastic, the owner and partner were fantastic, atmosphere was lovely and we managed to fit in lots of our family and friends. Accommodations were made to the best of their abilities and there was a game for everyone. The staff were lovely and tried hard to be helpful. We were all very happy! A fantastic job done. Thank you!

Always kept waiting while management seem to prefer chatting to their mates that turn up then get served before you, even though you’ve been waiting for 25 minutes while being ignored. Coffee is great can’t fault it, it’s just a shame the staff seem to be lacking in any sort of personality. I found the Costa machine round the corner to be more hospitable.

I have been here a few times now. Lovely atmosphere. Lovely food, very good prices. The staff & owner are lovely and very accommodating to anything that anyone can think of to eat, as long as she has it in she will do a combination usually. The full English I can highly recommend, cheap, and a very large portion for it. I personally think that it's £1-2 too cheap and that if it was me I would put it up by that given the other places I have been to are usually £2-3 more expensive. But that's just my opinion of course. The flavoured lattes are nice as well. The cappuccino's are to die for. I don't know what else to put, but I highly recommend this place. Closed on Sundays and Mondays but open the rest of the week so pop along. You won't be disappointed. (I sound like I'm writing an advert, hahaha, I'm not but it's a true review from me).

Not the same since it’s reopening quality of the food is dreadful The cutting of the vegetables onions toms are like huge nasty chunks that I’d expect from someone who’s never made a sandwich before The meat & potato pasties has more pastry than filling it’s hard not feel ripped off with the pricing, & the steak pasties don’t even get any better because the meat of that quality shouldn’t of even been sold the steak is like chewing a brick of gristle, never again I’d by one of those obvious I’ve only been back 3 times trying different items & food & to only feel disappointed one after the other Shameful quality

We were lucky to drop in here on way home. Chips golden and crispy not greasy like some places. Very nice lady serving too. Will call again when in the area! Thank you

Pub previously closed as a Wetherspoons has been purchased by the Mountain Pub Co and has reopened for business. Very busy when we visited clean and presentable with a reasonably priced pint

Very comfortable stay at this beautiful traditional hotel..with my elderly father and very well behaved dog. Its currently being refurbished so the bar and restaurant are not open but they provided an inclusive delicious continental breakfast..and with Weatherspoons next door and many other restaurants and quaint bars in town it was no bother. Easy convenient clean and very helpfull friendly service...could even see Studley Pike from both our rooms, Would stay here again..

Used to be great, these days not so much. Ordered a salt and pepper snack box.....May as well have paid 23quid for a portion of chips as that's pretty much all that arrived. No flavour. Not alot of anything else apart from chips. When i called to complain i heard alot of shouting between the phone operator and the chef then got hing up on. Won't be ordering here again. Terrible.

Total rubbish and that’s what I think on a good day Hey have a laugh and try and ring them You’ll not get through as the number is not recognised The place itself is grotty having walked there and I wouldn’t like to eat anything they cook there Pure bad

Very disappointing. Staff at the till very unfriendly. The person making the coffee very unhygenic. They dropped the wiping cloth on the floor then proceeded to use it on the coffee machine. Absolutely disgusting. Have travelled from West Yorkshire and will not come here again. Originally from Rochdale so anybody local dont bother. Ps and the pets allowed in here is untrue. A very large bird was on a customers shoulder i the food section. Not acceptable at all with bird flu etc. So shocked they allowed it and is probably against health snd safety regulations.

AVOID TWO HOURS wait for a 45 min order, speaking to them twice on the phone... being promised a call back - twice - which didn’t happen.... only for the order to be wrong... Chicken burger instead of beef burger, no BBQ sauce on a BBQ chicken pizza, cold chips..... Both pizzas flaccid to day the least: Worst takeaway I’ve had. I certainly won’t be ordering from there again...
