Pub previously closed as a Wetherspoons has been purchased by the Mountain Pub Co and has reopened for business. Very busy when we visited clean and presentable with a reasonably priced pint

Lost purse while here, spoke to staff next day and confirmed they had seen it, they even described the content of very sentimental photo of lost son. Then took my phone number to contact me when they had it to return to me, to only find my number is being used online as a contact for the business. Absolutely unforgivable behaviour. And not even a single apology by anyone at this so called business.

Staff welcome me like I m very important I felt very good about it. It nice to feel welcoming! I had a drink and chat with staff to get some information. Managers was very friendly! I had amazing time ! The lady (staff) just brought fresh just out of oven cakes and displayed it. You can have coffee and peace of cake for £4.50 . which I think is good price. Toilets nice n clean. Fire was on, so it felt nice and cosy. Brilliant place to chill and watch yor favourite sport . Definitely come here again!

Been here a few times has some meehhh meals and some Absolutely terrible ones. The building is very nice and it's cheap so again against my instinct I thought we should try it again. What a mistake. How it could get any worse is beyond me but it's winning in that respect. What it isn't winning in is food quality and value for money. Even at these cheap prices the food is poor and that's over complimentary. I ordered the double American cheese burger which read on the menu as this beautiful Malay of seeded bun thick American cheese and tender moist beef pattes. What I got was a poor rustler burger at best. No joke. Stale t cake bun (12 pack from Aldi for £1) a cheap plastic cheese slice that's never ever seen a cow. And two sorry excuses for beef pattes. The chips were burnt hard and dry as an Arabian summer and nothing moist in sight, no beans, gravy nothing. And the coke looked like it had been served with ten icecubes in it yesterday and left out. Absolutely disgusting from top to bottom. And charged just short of a tenner. A maccies (I hate maccies) would of felt like an absolute treat up to this mush. I actually feel robbed. Either shut the place down or get some management in that give a..... Because the site is beautiful but the food is on a continuous spiral into hell. Awful stay clear unless changes are made.

Came to meet a friend who was running late so decided to have something to eat whilst I waited for her to arrive. I ordered my food and drink on the app. Drink duly arrived and server apologised for the delay…(there wasn’t one)! Customers on the table next to me had ordered burgers all round. 1 with bun and chips, 1 without bun with chips and 1 without bun and no chips. Their food arrived and it was slightly wrong so the server took the food back to get it sorted. The server re brought theirfood back out, apologised for the mistake and checked their order and that they were all happy with what they had…they agreed. The server then brought my food and asked did I want any sauces etc. She then asked the next table was everything ok with their food to which the table curtly replied no. She politely asked what was wrong and was told ‘don’t like the meat will you bring me a salad instead. The server said of course and went off to get them a salad. She remained polite and helpful to the customers even though she didn’t really need to get them salad to replace meals they didn’t like. I felt the server (whose name is Abby)went above and beyond for her customers to make sure they had a good dining experience.

Great looking pub and could be a great local but it’s never clean , staff don’t clear tables, even when they are doing nothing, tables sticky and dirty and this pub could be great if the staff were proactive. Haven’t been back and that is our intention until they clean the place up and make it more welcoming. Always have to bring your own anti bac wipes for tables and chairs, inside and out, and to get in the place, at the front door, you have to battle through thick cigarette smoke as smokers stand in the porch and it’s really unpleasant. When it first opened as a Wetherspoons it was superb, clean & cosy with real fires and a place you actually wanted to visit but sadly it has gone badly downhill which is such a pity. It’s become somewhere where you wipe your feet on the way out. Come on, get your act together Wetherspoons and whoever is in charge please lead from the top.

We visit here regularly, most of the staff are friendly and helpful, agree with previous posts - tables could be cleared quicker, we've seen things left for 20/30 minutes after people have left. I used to think Wetherspoons was great value for money, but we're quite limited as to what we can choose to keep the cost down nowadays. However...can't fault the unlimited coffee's 😉

If only this place could be constantly good! Sat at a table, no number so I looked at adjacent tables and picked the nearest one in the 20s. Nothing came, may be short of staff, no! Quite a few staff about, we were told our table was 13, she said the tables are all mixed up, other spoons have tables with numbers following on so easy to find the number. The food today was very good but the clearing and cleaning of tables was not. One table had its plates cleared and a cloth and spray were left there for the customer to finish off. We were there at lunch time, breakfast menus still out, food menus were missing. This used the be the best one we visit but I am afraid no longer the case. Thank goodness the kitchen staff were better than the front of house>

Stumbled across this place whilst on our canal holiday. Nice enough day so we sat outside with a drink, knowing full well we couldn’t take our lone dog inside. Shock horror followed when we were told we couldn’t even sit outside with a dog! Do they actually own the bit outside? Or is that Council owned? Had to leave just before we all ordered food. Luckily their loss for 4 meals and more drinks. Dog owners not welcome. Staff rude attitude.

We used to go here a lot for a cheap and cheerful meal and drinks. It has gone downhill. There are grubby little aspects to it and we felt it needed a good clean from top to bottom. Food wasn't inspiring on the menu so we didn't stop. In fairness this could have been down to COVID but it hasn't stopped other restaurants from putting on a good spread. In the last few months we have eaten in The White Hart and have always enjoyed our visit. However, this week we were enjoying our meal on the upper floor when a young man sitting near us with an elderly couple decided to swear at the top of his voice. We politely asked him to mind his language whereupon he became very agitated, rude and aggressive. Fortunately, he manageress was in earshot of this and quickly came over to calm him down. However, he persisted using bad language and said he would sort my husband out outside! Within seconds two male colleagues came over and asked him to leave. They were very professional and polite. We were very impressed and appreciated the backing we received. A big thank you goes to the staff who supported us. As ever the food and drinks were really good. Already planning our next visit.

Never thought I’d write a review for a Wetherspoons however I think it needs saying. I’m originally from Rochdale and used to the Regal Moon, so when I say this one is poor in comparison, that’s saying something. Mostly dull staff who barely look like they’re past puberty, who have absolutely 0% the customer service. It’s filthy, absolutely filthy. Can’t tell you the amount of times I’ve had to clear my own table or ask for it to be wiped. Again, unlike the Regal which is massive in comparison. Really shouldn’t be happening. The last time I visited, I sat near the downstairs kitchen and actually saw my food come out of the microwave. Actually saw it. Not guessing it’s microwaved, I saw the whole thing come out of the microwave. Waitress was more concerned with talking to two flirty blokes than cleaning our table. Shame for such a lovely building and location.

Called in the White Hart on Monday evening and we thought we would have our tea there. We ordered fish and chips and a jacket potato and salad. I opted for an extra filling so ordered beans AND cheese. Hubby's fish and chips looked good, a little short on chips maybe. he said it was quite tasty. My jacket was a disappointment. the salad was crisp and fresh but the potato could have been hotter, the beans were cold and the cheese was more like an apology, a teaspoonful sprinkled over the top of my cold beans. When I had ordered and paid for two fillings I expected a full filling of both beans ( hot) and cheese. The place was a bit dingy and dark but i suppose it was ok for a Weatherspoons. We remember it in the 70's when it was a vibrant local pub with brilliant food.

The party included 3 well behaved dogs who did not enter the pub and sat outside on the street front (where there are tables). After purchasing drinks a young girl was sent outside to ask us to leave as dogs are not allowed on premises ( they were outside on the street front). We were referred to the large sign outside which does include ‘assistance dogs only ‘ -fair enough but we were outside on the pavement. We left and will not be visiting again. By the way when we got to Hebden Bridge there were lots of signs welcoming dogs. You are missing a trick Wetherspoons -and by the way thanks for letting us buy drinks before you asked us to leave. This is a better than average Wetherspoons. They are, however, taking their minimalist approach to hiring staff to an extreme. We went in for breakfast one Saturday. It was very busy, and yet there was only one member of staff behind the bar, taking orders, serving drinks, and every now again having to go across to the food serving area to take food to the tables. We left after about 15 minutes as there seemed little chance of being served in the foreseeable future.

Ordered Rump Steak last night and had an image in my mind of of a nice Rare Piece of Steak. The Meal arrived promptly and was served with a Smile. That was the Best part of the meal. The Meal looked like a Car Crash on a plate. There appeared to be two decent sized pieces of meat and a handful of chips thrown on as an after thought. The garnish of the dreaded Mushroom Tomato and Peas were a Joke and not worth any further explanation. I attempted to cut several areas of the Meat with a Steak Knife. Given that this was supposed to be a Rare Steak the Knife should have glided through without any resistance. Not this RUMP im afraid tough had nothing on this. The kind Bar member saw I was Struggling and offered to replace the meal. Which again was a very Good Gesture and I hoped the matter would be sorted to mt Satisfaction. Sadly nothing to report on the way of an improved Product. Therefore to summon up I estimate as with most of Wetherspoons Food this was a Frozen Product. Not Frozen as the Beef Steak Raw was Frozen but that the Steak had been Mass pre Cooked and Frozen only requiring a quick Defrost in a Microwave. Surely a Qualified Chaf was involved in this attempt at Uniform Mass Production. This is not the Way to Cook a Steak ever under any Circumstances unless of course you are trying to Alienate Your Followers

From the outside this building looks huge, but inside it is rather small. The usual fare is on offer and the decor is pleasant and the carpet not too loud. However on all three of my early afternoon visits this week to sample their coffee (most enjoyable) it was impossible each time to escape the loud and often foul-mouthed banter coming from a group of northern males in front of the bar as the pub is so small. It maybe a good idea for the management (if they read this) to put a swear box on the bar as it'll soon be filled up!!!

We've been a few times it's a bit hit and miss one min the food and service is awesome next day it's awful, wait times aren't great...breakfast is always good no complaints but evening meals slow service and wrong items served, the blonde behind the bar is excellent at sorting problems out but the manager isn't very nice

Although all Whetherspoons are roughly the same, there are definitely some better than others. And I’d like to think this one is one of the nicer ones.

Didn't stop as was told by a staff member our dog was not allowed in the beer garden at the back of pub. There was only one other customer sat outside. Said Mr wetherspoon has banned dogs for 10th September. Seems like customers will be lost as there are a high proportion of dog owners in this country.

Had a day out and came here for a look round the market. Stopped into The White Hart for lunch. It was a clean place with clean tables. Not too many people there when we came in and the staff were busy, lovely and friendly. We only had burgers (beef & chicken) and they came cooked exactly the same as all the other spoons we've been in when we've had the same. No problems here. You know exactly what you're getting when you come to these places and it didn't disappoint. That's why it's a 4 star, good grub at very reasonable prices. Cheers.

Just filthy, dirty tables, glasses left, bits of food, although food finished ages as it was late at night. Some great drinks on offer at great prices and that's about it. Toilets were pretty nasty too but this is what I have come to expect of Wetherspoons these days. Dirty, abused, with non interested staff. And full of skanky drunks all fagging up outside the front door. Such a shame as the building itself is actually beautiful.

Great staff, friendly and chilled. We felt welcome, food was nice too. The pizzas are really nice. It's a chilled place to go with friends or as a family. The staff are always very kind to us.

A group of us ate here on Saturday (late afternoon). The bar staff were lovely but ordering (food and drinks) at the bar took forever and the food was terrible. My noodle dish was so tiny (looked/tasted as though a pack of instant noodles had been added to some mediocre sauce) that I had to visit the chip shop shortly afterwards. I asked the waiter if I could order an extra portion a chips and was told that I'd have to join the lengthy queue at the bar...again! I'd ordered a speciality coffee (chocolatey/mocha coffee with added chocolate) and was directed to a machine that had no such item (cheeky!). I asked the manager about the coffee (in case the barmaid had made a mistake). He completely ignored me, at first but was rude/insulting when I asked again. Rather than argue, I said I'd write in. He replied "So what? It will come to me anyway". Horrible man, managing (if you can call it that) a tired, dated venue. The raspberry gin was the only pleasant part of the visit. Can't comment on other alcohol served there but save your time and money and eat elsewhere!

Popped in with my son whilst car in nearby garage. I had full breakfast and son had pancakes. Coffee was free refills and when mine came it was delicious fresh tasty. Best breakfast I've had for a while. My son loved his pancakes too. Nice pub clean and friendly staff

The food and the staff were fine but some of the customers were rowdy and their language was fowl. They were told to stop swearing one by an older lady but they took no notice.

I go here fairly regular for drinks and winter or summer is both good times to visit. A good selection of beers as a wetherspoon has, now good gins. All excellent prices (that my dad loves).

The white Hart is a massive pub, its does all the stuff a weatherspoons does but its a lovely building right in the centre of Todmorden, when ever I've been in staff are nice and friendly. Out back there is a nice patio which is a sun trap.

Been coming here for years making the five mile journey from Littleborough for breakfast with older friends, for lunch and dinner and also on nights out. Great beer as you would expect in a Wetherspoons, food good and excellent value. Great old building too with a good beer garden, unusual for Wetherspoons.

Came here for food and drinks. Staff were okay. We ordered pizza and it was half cooked, would have been nice if they put Some greenery on it. I am local and am always disappointed with the Wetherspoons in todmorden, they seem to get a cream cheese with salmon bagel wrong which is madness as I work in catering and can’t understand why the people in the kitchen simple don’t care. Why are they hired? I get it’s cheap food but still a little TLC wouldn’t go without a miss.

. . . when the worst Wetherspoons I have been in for a while can be regarded as the best in the town centre ( out of seven.) Terrible manager with no sense of management, nor interest in beer -.the main bar regularly has at least five of the ten beer taps empty. Staff try their best but are often on their own and having to double as food waiter - yet the manager is still abusive to them. And the place gets dowdier every year !!!! (Don't, don't, don't ask about the Gents toilet.)

Once the place was in a terrible state, the staff not trained to a standard and not a good selection of beers/ales on offer. Went with colleagues for a business meeting which I expressed my concern for the choice of venue, which again proved to be right, would not recommend this place and my colleagues now agree. Slow service, cold food and terrible atmosphere

Burger was hot round the edges but cold in the middle and the batter was wet and soggy. As usual waitress came and asked how it was and I told her. She went off and 20 mins later nobody came to say anything so I’m leaving a review.

The White Hart, sadly, is going downhill fast. My partner and I used to go in a couple of times a week but this will change. The place is tired looking and the floors are often littered with food, The wine is OK but my partner often complains about the draught beer - lots of empty pumps and an array of beers around 4%. Worst of all is the service, quite often at tea times (usually busy) there is one member of staff on the bar to serve drinks, take food orders then deliver food to tables leaving customers bemused at the bar. It's not uncommon to see people walk away at this time of day.

We used to visit the White Hart around once or even twice a week, but it has slowly gone downhill to the point that we decided to give it one last try. The visit confirmed everything we thought about its gradual slide into a Wetherspoons no longer worthy of our custom.
