Class restaurant good atmosphere and amazing food, Jacob was an amazing waiter, he was extremely polite and was really helpful

Had a lovely meal with my girlfriend and a great experience courtesy of Katie and Jacob, especially refilling our drinks super fast!

When I lived in Norfolk, there was a wonderful TGI Friday's in Norwich - good food at reasonable prices, friendly staff, free wifi, and I would go there on average once or twice a month. The Halifax TGI Friday's is worlds apart, however - and not in a good way. Went there today for the first time since moving to Halifax two years ago, and the first thing that shocked me was the prices - especially the drinks! £4.50 for a can of pop, and over £6 for a single bottle of beer! The food, aside from the calamari, was nothing to wrote home about; the onion rings, which cost £6.30 for roughly seven rings, were fried to the point that they shattered as soon as my fork touched them, and I actually couldn't finish them. Desserts were misrepresented on the menu - the cheesecake I ordered, described on the menu as served with ice cream actually arrived without ice cream but with enough squirty cream to sink the Titanic. Did I get a check back, you ask? Strangely, no - the staff seem to disappear to parts unknown after leaving your food on the table. Did not leave a tip, and will not be returning. Oh, and there's no wifi, so if you have kids who can't cope without social media for an hour or so you've got another reason not to come here...

Awesome dinning experience, food was great, drinks we're top tier and Megan was a fantastic laugh. Our group all had a lot of fun and will certainly be back soon.

We just wanted a couple of burgers which were tasty, the highlight was Jacob, our server who was lovely, very professional and personable and made great ballon animals! It was all very clean and welcoming. Great for kids as well. (Sorry I forgot to take my balloon rose with me. ☹️)

This is an amazing place it eat and JACOB was just soooooooo nice and the food was good as well the drinks tasted amazing and they were so thoughtful

Food and service was good, food was warm and didn’t take too long to come out to us. I do have two points to raise though, if you’re going to make children balloons do this for all children and not just some. When we were there one of your servers was making her table balloon animals while my children sat and watched! If you have children then you will know how disappointing and upsetting it is to them to be left out. If you are going to do this do it for all children so that some aren’t left feeling disappointed and upset. My second point is that TGI’s charge more for the same food on a weekend! They have two menus one for during the week and one for weekend, only difference is that they charge you more on a weekend for the same food! I really don’t understand why you do this? This is not treating your customers fairly at all! You run mid-week deals already to get customers through your doors during quieter times but now your taking advantage of customers during your busier times! We won’t be visiting you or any other TGi’s on a weekend until you treat your customers fairly.

Lovely lunch with my boys. Jacob was super helpful and engaging too, talking to my boys about the film we were going to see afterwards, and helping me understand the offers available on the app! 😊

Me and my friend Claire tried out the bottomless brunch for the first time. It was lovely - the manager Joe was lovely to us and made us feel extra welcome. The tentativeness and service was great and we will definitely make it a thing to come back once a month!

Omg. Ordered off uber eats. Vegan burger mouldy. No sauces, not even the ones we paid extra for. Not even Mcdonald quality n that's saying something. Grotesque and spent £85. Never again! Do not eat here. Food is rotten

We came to TGI Fridays to celebrate our daughters name day Jacob and the team made her feel so special as name days aren't usually celebrated in England and they made her day she had the biggest smile and we all had a great time and the food was delicious

I have never had such an awful meal. The only reason I've given it 2 stars is because the waiting staff deserve it. I went with my daughter, my autistic, 12 year old grandson, and my 18 month old grand daughter. Ignoring what the kids ate, my daughter ordered the ribs, and I ordered the New York steak - medium rare - all with refill drinks, which came with more ice in than drink, but that was just the start of a terrible meal. My daughters ribs looked great, but she said they hardly had any taste to them. My steak was more medium to well done. There was no pink what so ever. After trying to get the attention of one of the servers, I had to go and find one. I was very apologetic about returning the food, but for £26+ I felt justified in asking. I kept the fries because I was so hungry. My replacement meal arrived after what felt like ages, certainly long enough that the others had finished eating their meals. Upon checking, the replacement steak was no different from the first. However, this time, it was not only overcooked but was more fat than meat. The server asked if it was better, and I replied, saying it would have to do because I was starving. Another server came over a little while later and asked again. My reply, again, was, not really, but it would have to do because of how hungry I was, and I'd deal with it. I ate what I could and took the rest home for my dog. All this for £90 - kids ate main meals free! I am so disappointed and let down, I will not be returning, which is sad because we used to love going there. I wish I'd taken pics of the first steak

Poor, empty restaurant but still waiting for food 30 mins after ordering. Waiting staff stood doing nothing, prices high, food poor. Remember this place heaving with customers but we won't be back.

The serving time for food was very slow. Then when it did come most of our meals were cold. The lighting is too dark and the building is pretty cold. Ate with our coats on

One of the poorest dining experiences I've had. Went with a voucher for ten pounds off. Totally deceptive terms and conditions not made at all clear on the voucher. The manager explained "this happens all the time" and that he didn't agree with the company being so sneaky. Still didn't offer us a discount though. The food was way over priced for what it was. Used to really enjoy TGI'S but won't be bothering again. Shame.

Probably the best restaurant experience we have had in a long time. The service and interactions with Dawid and Becca was hilarious as we were made endless balloons and regularly checked on throughout our night. If I could rate the service higher I would.

We were a large party ( about 30 people. Orders were taken ( en- mass), with no notes taken of table arrangement. Food arrived and the staff had no idea who had ordered what. When it came to paying they had no idea who had to pay for which meal. The drink prices were extortionate. Over £9 for a medium size glass of Malbec, £6 for a can of Guiness. Never again!

Four Adults and two children ate here for my sons birthday. Our server was Jacob who took time to explain about the menu and the TGI’s app. Okay, so it’s a bit on the expensive side for what you get. The portions aren’t very big at all. However the food was really good and the service was great. Would definitely go again once I’ve downloaded the app for a discount.

Food was brilliant. Would definitely come here again soon. Service is slightly strange and I’m not sure how I feel about the staff kneeling at the table to take orders. Lots of staff were stood at the kitchen area where we could clearly see our food was ready.

We went for my daughter's birthday,and from start to finish the service was terrible,£29 each to share 3 small plates,but we thought we could make up the price we paid with the so called bottomless drinks,in the 2 hrs we were there we got 2 drinks as it took 20 minutes to get someone to take an order and then another 20 minutes for it to actually arrive at the table 😕 Would not recommend it and certainly won't be going again!

Went here for a break from cooking between Christmas and New Year. Being a big chain the food, drink and service expectations were as expected. The waitress was helpful and answered or went to find answers for our questions, everyone enjoyed the food we ordered. Can't go far wrong if you want to eat at an American style diner.

Table for 11 - waitress (think her name was Katie) was very very attentive. Constantly bringing us free refils. We all ordered starters and mains and asked that they all be brought together. Everything was yummy, hot and fresh. We had a cake for someone's 18th and they brought it over, sang, and gave us plates. Really really nice evening!

This is a nice TGI's with a great atmosphere and friendly staff. The food was nice and the service didn't take too long. There were some food items not available on the main menu which was explained on ordering. However on the children's menu, we weren't told an item was unavailable until after the meal arrived. We then were not offered an alternative. Thankfully the staff refunded the meal as a result

The place isn't the same as it was years ago. Which is a shame. Food isn't good not much vegetarian options. Cocktails are miss sold saying 2 for 1 but only same cocktail for £16 for 2 or 1 if you don't want 2 of the same. Luckily the staff made us aware when ordering. Sort the menu out and make it good again.

The food was fine. The food portions are small for the price of the food. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Unfortunately when they visited it feels like a lot of the food and drink were unavailable. 3/5 for food as it was expensive and small portions but tasted nice. 4/5 for service. The staff were very friendly and nice. I think if the food portions were bigger or the price was lower then i can increase the stars from 3 to 4 stars.

Visited today with my fiancé and his parents for a celebratory dinner and the atmosphere and service by Jacob was incredible. The whole team were lovely, friendly, and accommodating but Jacob specifically went above and beyond on service, making sure drinks were refilled, checking in with us on wait times, and just being friendly and welcoming throughout. It was a lovely night made even better by the service received. The food was also delicious, absolutely no complaints, and the drinks were wonderful too. A lovely place to eat with a great team of staff.

Worth every penny spent. We came for a nice meal with my partner and his family for a bit of a celebration and it was a wonderful meal and night. The food and drinks were wonderful with no issues, all came quickly and when delayed...

Absolutely shocking service we have been here for over two hours and still waiting for our sweet. One of our main courses we have refused to pay absolutely disgusting. Never will return.

Amazing. Group of us served by Dee and she was amazing. Banter flowing and was catering to all our needs. Had a great time and would 100% come back.

After booking a meal for 18:30 and having to wait 15 minutes by the entrance in a restaurant that wasn't busy in the slightest, we were seated and offered two complementary drinks because we were waiting so long - this is the only reason I have given three not two stars - we ordered food only to be told there wasn't any ribs AFTER ordering them... this information should be given to customers upon ordering. The food wasn't as good as it normally is, having eaten here for years and usually speaking very highly of it. My main was so bunt at the ends I couldn't eat it. The worst part, though, was the screaming children running around like it's a day care centre. After mentioning how distracting and annoying it was, the staff just said that they should be leaving soon as it was a party. I don't think it's right for a pack of about 6 children between the ages of 6 and 11 to be running around a restaurant. I know that this isn't the staff's fault, but also nothing was said to the parents about it. Not a good experience, it's a shame because I used to like coming here.

Overpriced, lukewarm food. Ribs not available so they recommended steak. When they eventually came they had run out of mushrooms and tomatoes so gave us onion rings. Steak cooked well to be fair just not warm enough. Free refill on drink not offered until we asked hor the bill. Certainly wont be hurrying back

Booked a table for 4 for Sunday early evening. We arrived early and although there were many empty tables we had to wait 10 minutes to be seated and a further 10 minutes before a waitress came to our table to take the order. We were told there were no ribs and the steaks were then recommended as an alternative. We placed our order and it took another 15 minutes for drinks to arrive and a further 20 minutes after the drinks for the food. The steaks came with onion rings and an apology that they had no tomatoes or mushrooms.The one thing that saved the experience and therefore a 2 star review was that the steaks were tender and cooked well, although would have been hotter if they weren't left under heaters at the servery instead of being delivered to our table once prepared. Bizarrely a coke refill came to the table when we requested the bill but no further drinks had been offered earlier. Visit could have been so much better if service was improved and items on the menu available as stated. We wont be rushing back.

Haven't been for a while and won't be rushing back! Places was empty and on a Saturday afternoon ....no doubt put off by the extortionate drinks menu! Good way of getting yourselves shut down!!(which would be a sad loss for halifax Food options) £16 for a cocktail!!!! Yes they offer 241 but really it's 2 cocktails for £8 each...plus it's got to be same one (so not 241)...rest alcoholic drinks were over inflated! Please remember this is Halifax not a city premium bar! Food was fine, staff helpful and welcoming but unfortunately I can spend less or the same money in a nicer restaurant

Fabulous service with a smile from Jacob, kind, friendly and offered good recommendation. Quick service and food good as per usual. Lunch time on Thursday was nice and quiet but still with music and a relaxed atmosphere. Portions always large.

Definitely the best brunch I have ever been too by far. Not only is is the best value for money but the food and drinks are phenomenal. Our server was Jacob and he was so attentive and fun as well as being so quick with drinks and food. Will 100% be coming here again and would recommend to anyone else.
