First Time in TGI Fridays, experience made all the better by Jacob! A like minded LOTR fan, he welcomed us and made us a feel right at home! We'll be seeing you soon! Lovely place, great food and good beer.

I had a great time with my special husband, we always will return here for the endless wings on Wednesday, The wings were divine and the waitresses Joe and Honey kept them coming. All around great experience.

Thought we’d get a treat in before they close, but apparently the staff has already checked out. Chicken strips were burnt, burger was so overcooked it was hard and the drinks were missing but I couldn’t get any refund because they were part of the meal deal. The chips were nice though

Went to tgif the first time. They had limited vegetarian options, the juice drinks tasted a bit like Cajun (after taste)?, the food was tasty but limited in quantity and servers were nice. It is a bit pricey even if you order a single meal but nice experience overall.

The service in this place is a joke. The staff will stand at the back and watch you wait at the counter on entry like it's a joke. Stood waiting 10 minutes to order a takeaway before shouting to get them to move from their positions stood doing nothing. Just shows a lack of care. Food ain't great either, mostly lukewarm.

The food for the brunch was amazing and so were the drinks. Our server Dawson was so welcoming and friendly when it came to describing drinks and how the brunch works. The atmosphere for the 2 hours was great, hearing a group of staff members wishing young children a happy birthday always warms the heart!!!

Great food but our experience was made perfect by our server Dee who was professional fun and very good at her job. We will come back just to see her!

Jacob was amazing and his balloon hat skills are fantastic. The food was good and the cocktails and mocktails are so good.

We visited on Wednesday evening and noticed that it was not very crowded, with only a few patrons present. Since they had an ongoing promotion offering unlimited wings for £15, we decided to take advantage of this offer and give it a try. However, we were disappointed with the quality of the wings. They were overcooked and dry, and the barbecue sauce had a tangy flavor that was not to our liking. While we appreciate the concept of the offer, we were let down by the execution of the wings themselves. Nevertheless, our waiter provided excellent service, and it is unfortunate that the food did not meet our expectations.

Was looking for lunch and saw an ad on Facebook for Lunch for £7. Wasn't much on it so wasn't going to go then another ad for 2 courses for either £15 or £20 depending on which menu. Seemed ideal so, booked a table through the link and off we went. Waited to be seated as 1 staff serving and it was the manager who eventually broke off a takeaway order to seat us. Waiting would become a reoccurring theme for our visit. The decor in the restaurant has not changed but is starting to look a little tired. The baseball US flag almost has more balls missing than it does balls. Its not like you can't buy baseballs anywhere. They had sat everyone next to each other in one section of the restaurant, no music or anything so we would be treated to hearing everyone's conversation over the next hour and us not wanting to say much to each other as there was no privacy. Eventually asked if we wanted to order drinks, we asked for the lunchtime menu to be told it was just the main menu. So, instantly the 2 courses instantly became £35. We ordered Fajitas and the bacon and cheese fries to share. Took advantage of a free cocktail offer on the app. We both ordered Purple Rain as it had been a favourite of ours when we visited more regularly. Also ordered a refillable Coke zero which tasted like brown soda water (the Diet coke refill had slightly more taste). Might have had more but service was non-existent. So, the Purple rains turned up green, clearly missing the purple ingredient drizzled over the top and tasted bland, the chicken and beef were both, for want of a better word 'slimy" the beef was so fatty most got left and both meals reminded me of the cook in the bag meats you get at the supermarket. Fries were okay. The cajun cheese sauce was great, but this was a much smaller portion size than we had ever been served before and havint bacon in the name was a little misleading as it was also non-existent. The wraps for the fajitas seem to have shrunk, and the amount of potato starch caked grated cheese was too small (the pots seemed smaller than I remember). Ended up just shy of £60 for two people at lunchtime, definitely not affordable. Possibly why it was so empty. 5 sets of diners in the time we were there. Didn't end up with a 2nd course either. Can't see us returning.

Food was missing from the order. The food that did arrive was good.

Burger was extremely cold, the bun was like it was taken straight out of the fridge and delivered as it is, the paties were okay, the bacon was not cooked properly and it had a very weird taste, couldn't eat the burger. The huggies were seasoned weirdly, cold but not as fridge cold as the burger buns, couldn't eat that either. The mac and cheese bite do not look like how they look in the picture, it doesn't even have any pasta in it, it was drowned in SUGAR?? barely any cheese in it

Great service food freshly cooked drinks I think are a bit pricey and it felt a bit chilly but the food made up for this

Unfortunately today’s visit didn’t meet the usual standards we have been used to in the past. The Chicken Wing sharer to start, the wings were over cooked and border line burnt. The two burgers for main were also overcooked and as a result were dry. Generally disappointing. The service was excellent as always, and the best part of the meal was the kids dessert which they thoroughly destroyed. Hopefully today’s experience was just a one off, we will give it another go based on previous visits.

Visited with family late in the evening and had a fantastic evening. Joe the manager was excellent throughout as was Jacob our server. Food was excellent and service was a very high standard.

First and last time going to TGI Fridays. The whole place is just a sticky mess, sticky tables, seats, drink stained menus and bland chicken fajitas. We should have just walked out as the food made both me and my partner poorly within the hour.

Food absolutely freezing on arrival. Don’t waste your money. Avoid

Visited the Halifax branch for my daughter’s 11th birthday with family. Jacob was very friendly and helpful and really welcoming to us all.

We had sat down at 2:45 on a Tuesday. We’d made a booking for 8 people in advance but ended up needing 10 and that was accommodated for. We had put in the notes it was for a graduation meal. We ordered about 17/18 drinks as cocktails were 2for1/2for16 - it’s not very clear which ones are which. Instead of doing our pint and soft drink first, did two cocktails at a time. Put coconut in a Zombie (we ordered zombies because they don’t have coconut in them). 2 passion fruit martinis came out, then about 45 minutes later the other two on the order came out but were completely different colours. We think the shakers weren’t washed out properly because the foam had washing up liquid bubbles in it and ruined the drink. The next drink that came also tasted off. It took over an hour for all of our drinks to come despite the place being empty and only once all the drinks came did the food order get placed. Despite being open 4 hours, there was no garlic paste for garlic bread. We had an intolerance on the table and know the procedure is a manager has to place the order in this situation. We found out the one making the mistakes with drinks was the manager which had to handle the intolerance order. It was now about 4:10pm and Joe had been called in on his day off to rectify the situation. He explained that he couldn’t get started on our drinks straight away because he had to do some prep before as it had not been done (the place had opened at 12pm), but would get them over as soon as he could. Then once he’d brought the drinks over, passion fruit martinis made properly, zombies without coconut in, hurracans in proper glasses that tasted nice it was fine. Then our food arrived, some of it anyway. A full rack of ribs was stone cold, they had forgotten to upgrade fries to sweet potato fries, then they delivered the sweet potato fries about 4 minutes later - to which they were still frozen in the middle - the first calamari was overcooked and rubbery under the batter, wings were burnt so compensated with sauce but still inedible. So we got up to have a word with the staff about it. 2 burgers were fine, steak was fine, sesame chicken was fine. But these were all eaten before the rest of the food had even arrived. About 20 minutes later, the second portion of calamari was brought (also overdone and rubbery), the loaded fries were brought, the second mozzarella dippers, felt like our meals came in two halves but with way too much time between them. We have been to several other TGI Fridays across different parts of the country because we thought it was always to a good standard and have never had so many issues. If Joe hadn’t have come in to rectify the drinks and get them done in a timely manner, as well as getting the kitchen to sort the food out, we’d have likely left to eat somewhere else. We saw other tables complain about their service too and it’s a shame as we do like TGIs but we’re unlikely to return to this one. Still, a special mention to Joe as he did come in to sort the situation out and was definitely the silver lining to the grey cloud.

Service was brilliant. Jacob was an amazing server and really good with my two year old sister - we especially loved the juggling. Honey was lovely too! And food was delicious.

Me and my boyfriend ate here the other day and the server was so lovely. I believe here name was Dionne but she was just amazing. Honestly one of the best servers I’ve had!

Brilliant service by Jacob, really attentive and ensured we had everything we needed and regular refills. He is the best server we have had at TGI’s Halifax. Only gripe with TGI’s in general as that the menu costs more on a weekend than midweek.

The delivery time was first set to 9pm but then was constantly pushed up to 9:30. It arrived cold due to it taking so long. I would like a refund if possible

Really frustrating purchasing sauces to enjoy with your meal for them not to come (both orders) or drinks, wouldn’t mind if it didn’t cost a fortune! Food cold also, won’t be ordering again.

Lovely food but was so cold in the restaurant. Our server (Dee), was brilliant. This isn't the cheapest place in town to eat but it is nice.

I don’t understand how they always forget to send items when its a small order. Not only that, but the food itself is so bad. The chicken strips barely had any sauce on them, and the bacon cheese fries, well the bacon was still oinking.

Nice food, relatively quiet surprisingly compared to say the Castleford/Escape one. Some options on the children’s menu not available. We were told prior to ordering which was fine. When I lived in Norfolk, there was a wonderful TGI Friday's in Norwich - good food at reasonable prices, friendly staff, free wifi, and I would go there on average once or twice a month. The Halifax TGI Friday's is worlds apart, however - and not in a good way. Went there today for the first time since moving to Halifax two years ago, and the first thing that shocked me was the prices - especially the drinks! £4.50 for a can of pop, and over £6 for a single bottle of beer! The food, aside from the calamari, was nothing to wrote home about; the onion rings, which cost £6.30 for roughly seven rings, were fried to the point that they shattered as soon as my fork touched them, and I actually couldn't finish them. Desserts were misrepresented on the menu - the cheesecake I ordered, described on the menu as served with ice cream actually arrived without ice cream but with enough squirty cream to sink the Titanic. Did I get a check back, you ask? Strangely, no - the staff seem to disappear to parts unknown after leaving your food on the table. Did not leave a tip, and will not be returning. Oh, and there's no wifi, so if you have kids who can't cope without social media for an hour or so you've got another reason not to come here...

Food was left on doorstep in the rain and he didn't even knock. Only found out when I got a notification saying it had been delivered. Abysmal delivery.

Soulless, music too loud ! Staff more interested in chatting to each other than checking the customers are OK. Food is overpriced for what it is .

Awesome dinning experience, food was great, drinks we're top tier and Megan was a fantastic laugh. Our group all had a lot of fun and will certainly be back soon.

Staff here are always fantastic, standard TGI food, it's the staff that make it great.

Everything here was good. Apart from the food. We were so disappointed. The place was busy so maybe that's the reason are food was below standard this time. But that's no excus. Definitely way way better places to go in Halifax. Sorry but won't be coming back.

Stay away from this place absolute robbers £4.30 for a can of pop £6.20 for onion rings £19 for sesame seed chicken how can they justify these prices? You don’t deserve customers at those prices and overcooked as well. honestly, I hope customers stop coming to you and you close down.

We just wanted a couple of burgers which were tasty, the highlight was Jacob, our server who was lovely, very professional and personable and made great ballon animals! It was all very clean and welcoming. Great for kids as well. (Sorry I forgot to take my balloon rose with me. ☹️)

Food and service was good, food was warm and didn’t take too long to come out to us. I do have two points to raise though, if you’re going to make children balloons do this for all children and not just some. When we were there one of your servers was making her table balloon animals while my children sat and watched! If you have children then you will know how disappointing and upsetting it is to them to be left out. If you are going to do this do it for all children so that some aren’t left feeling disappointed and upset. My second point is that TGI’s charge more for the same food on a weekend! They have two menus one for during the week and one for weekend, only difference is that they charge you more on a weekend for the same food! I really don’t understand why you do this? This is not treating your customers fairly at all! You run mid-week deals already to get customers through your doors during quieter times but now your taking advantage of customers during your busier times! We won’t be visiting you or any other TGi’s on a weekend until you treat your customers fairly.

Lovely lunch with my boys. Jacob was super helpful and engaging too, talking to my boys about the film we were going to see afterwards, and helping me understand the offers available on the app! 😊

Me and my friend Claire tried out the bottomless brunch for the first time. It was lovely - the manager Joe was lovely to us and made us feel extra welcome. The tentativeness and service was great and we will definitely make it a thing to come back once a month!

Service was lovely atmosphere was awesome food is pricey for what it is, but overall was delicious! Special thanks to Lauren and Jacob! Awesome service and really nice people! A true credit to the team!

Omg. Ordered off uber eats. Vegan burger mouldy. No sauces, not even the ones we paid extra for. Not even Mcdonald quality n that's saying something. Grotesque and spent £85. Never again! Do not eat here. Food is rotten

Cold food, missing half my order

I have never had such an awful meal. The only reason I've given it 2 stars is because the waiting staff deserve it. I went with my daughter, my autistic, 12 year old grandson, and my 18 month old grand daughter. Ignoring what the kids ate, my daughter ordered the ribs, and I ordered the New York steak - medium rare - all with refill drinks, which came with more ice in than drink, but that was just the start of a terrible meal. My daughters ribs looked great, but she said they hardly had any taste to them. My steak was more medium to well done. There was no pink what so ever. After trying to get the attention of one of the servers, I had to go and find one. I was very apologetic about returning the food, but for £26+ I felt justified in asking. I kept the fries because I was so hungry. My replacement meal arrived after what felt like ages, certainly long enough that the others had finished eating their meals. Upon checking, the replacement steak was no different from the first. However, this time, it was not only overcooked but was more fat than meat. The server asked if it was better, and I replied, saying it would have to do because I was starving. Another server came over a little while later and asked again. My reply, again, was, not really, but it would have to do because of how hungry I was, and I'd deal with it. I ate what I could and took the rest home for my dog. All this for £90 - kids ate main meals free! I am so disappointed and let down, I will not be returning, which is sad because we used to love going there. I wish I'd taken pics of the first steak

We came to TGI Fridays to celebrate our daughters name day Jacob and the team made her feel so special as name days aren't usually celebrated in England and they made her day she had the biggest smile and we all had a great time and the food was delicious

Poor, empty restaurant but still waiting for food 30 mins after ordering. Waiting staff stood doing nothing, prices high, food poor. Remember this place heaving with customers but we won't be back.

The serving time for food was very slow. Then when it did come most of our meals were cold. The lighting is too dark and the building is pretty cold. Ate with our coats on

Just been for click and collect which was meant to be ready for 5 and didn't get it until 5.30 when asked how long it would be at 5.15 got told I was next which I wasn't terrible service

One of the poorest dining experiences I've had. Went with a voucher for ten pounds off. Totally deceptive terms and conditions not made at all clear on the voucher. The manager explained "this happens all the time" and that he didn't agree with the company being so sneaky. Still didn't offer us a discount though. The food was way over priced for what it was. Used to really enjoy TGI'S but won't be bothering again. Shame.

Probably the best restaurant experience we have had in a long time. The service and interactions with Dawid and Becca was hilarious as we were made endless balloons and regularly checked on throughout our night. If I could rate the service higher I would.

We were a large party ( about 30 people. Orders were taken ( en- mass), with no notes taken of table arrangement. Food arrived and the staff had no idea who had ordered what. When it came to paying they had no idea who had to pay for which meal. The drink prices were extortionate. Over £9 for a medium size glass of Malbec, £6 for a can of Guiness. Never again!

Four Adults and two children ate here for my sons birthday. Our server was Jacob who took time to explain about the menu and the TGI’s app. Okay, so it’s a bit on the expensive side for what you get. The portions aren’t very big at all. However the food was really good and the service was great. Would definitely go again once I’ve downloaded the app for a discount.

Food quality seems to drop down over the years.

Food was brilliant. Would definitely come here again soon. Service is slightly strange and I’m not sure how I feel about the staff kneeling at the table to take orders. Lots of staff were stood at the kitchen area where we could clearly see our food was ready.

We went for my daughter's birthday,and from start to finish the service was terrible,£29 each to share 3 small plates,but we thought we could make up the price we paid with the so called bottomless drinks,in the 2 hrs we were there we got 2 drinks as it took 20 minutes to get someone to take an order and then another 20 minutes for it to actually arrive at the table 😕 Would not recommend it and certainly won't be going again!

Gone far too expensive. For the first time ever, I didn’t enjoy all of the food. Steak was tough and 1/2 inedible. Seats etc looking well worn. Very disappointed.

Went here for a break from cooking between Christmas and New Year. Being a big chain the food, drink and service expectations were as expected. The waitress was helpful and answered or went to find answers for our questions, everyone enjoyed the food we ordered. Can't go far wrong if you want to eat at an American style diner.
