Oddies Bakery in Calderdale

Well I went very early on Saturday morning. The staffing so lovely but the pies is not proper Tues. I m cook myself it is look like its been trough meat dryner. TASTE not great at all if u on hangover it will do for U! The pastry cheap puff pastry n feellike babe food if u know what I mean. Even though the staff was talking about other client that they have earlier had laugh about. Robin to pit my rubish out either..

Best flapjacks, very expensive bakery but you pay for quality. Numerous locations so have to travel 30mins for one but worth it.

Oddies have great multi -grain loaves, something really fragrant called an Oatie and the pastry on their mince pies as well as the yummy mince meat is superb. Not only excellent baked goods, the staff are both efficient and ultra friendly. A great local bakery

Nice sausage rolls from here - the lady behind the counter was very kind with me. Would visit again :)

Always call here when over in tod. Brilliant bakes at reasonable prices. Definitely worth popping in for a potato pasty!

I asked for a sandwich to be made woman with glasses came across if I asked for the world not the first time she has come across like this puts me off going in the shop :-(

I live in the Preston area but am happy to travel to Blackburn or even to Burnley to buy bread from Oddies. But the highlight of all my forays in bread buying is the hot beef pie that I take back to the car to devour. There is one thing wrong with these pies, there is a last mouthful and they're finished. The bread is great as are the savoys and the fruit tarts. In fact I've never bought anything from Oddies that I haven't enjoyed. Not the cheapest bakery by a long chalk but as my grandmother always said ' you get what you pay for'. And in this case it is quality

We usually buy from them, the staff are really polite and kind. The goods are fresh and nice. Really good for a quick bite.

Great fresh food, sandwiches made to order and quality ingredients as well as reasonable prices and polite friendly helpful service make for a decent place to go to for food, always of high standard

I'm not going to say oddies products are not tasty as I'd by lying, but over the years the prices have increased and sadly some of the products have declined. I bought a tuna mayo bap for £1.62 today. When I opened said sandwich I was greeted with a meagre spoonful of tuna that didn't even cover the bap, needless to say I was very disappointed and I feel they are putting profit levels before their customers. This was purchased in Burnley town next to warren james

I always get a tuna special and have to say today i had enough and thought i would make it known so you can make some improvements on it, your tuna special is delicious but the toppings are just not enough.

Joke!joke!i'm only saying what everyones thinking im surprised this firm still open with the prices they charge good job they only go from burnley to blackburn....they products would not survive further....staff have to measure the amount of product that goes on a bap eg 30g ham,30g beef ect,omg they are allowed to put 45g on a cheese t,cake anything more staff in big trouble.....the scales tell u not to go over or the management lol

Just dropped into Todmorden to go to the bank and parked opposite Oddies I now know just how good they are! Everything I purchased was delicious... the Sad Cake left me thinking of my late mums version. Will be back most certainly.

I left Lancashire 4yrs ago and the only thing that I miss is an oddies meat pie wow I would kill for one wish they could deliver lol

I adore Oddies, friendly staff, hot food, delicious pies and soups - especially the rhubarb tarts and goulash! Perfect!

Favourite local bakery knocks the socks off the big chains love the friendly service and always go in for savouries and pork and pepper rolls gorgeous bread and cakes

Fresh bread, baked daily. Anything left over at the end of the day goes out (and supports the food bank) so you know freshness is guarenteed. Nice pies and and the like available daily, too.

Nuestra familia siempre han sido de enorme Oddies ventiladores, especialmente para pasteles y tartas. Sin embargo, sus sándwiches, especialmente comparado con otras panaderías locales están enormemente deficiente llenado. . Called in on way to Hebdon. Lovely bread and pasties, shame there was no cheese and onion pie available. Place looked clean and service was friendly. Will call again on my next trip over the border from Lancashire!

Typical northern bakery with pies, pastries and bread.The sausage rolls are especially nice. We also like the breadcakes

For four times I have walked in the furthest door in Oddies and walked out of the other, back on to the main road.I really wanted to buy something local but it was all so bland.Reading the Tripadvisor reviews, perhaps I should have gone earlier. I don't know what delights I might find. I just want to find a local family bakers offering something not available in a supermarket. Just across the road, the local family butchers, with its amazing sausages is worth the trip but Oddies is sadly lacking. Please don't give up, find your heritage and bake it.

Great choice of hot and cold pies/pastries with cakes to make your meal complete. Hot and cold drinks available all served with a smile

Our favourite bakery. One of the best cheese & onion pasties you will find anywhere. Their granary bread is great and their fig squares amazing.

Go in the morning, very little choice in the afternoon, if any choice. Bakery produce is of an excellent standard, perhaps slightly expensive for the average family on a budget. Oddies is ok for the odd treat, supermarket much cheaper with far more selection, but fine for a small Lancashire based bakery, give it a try.

As always the baking is fantastic, traditional recipes handed down through the family and often seasonal tasty treats. Exactly what you expect from the name. particularly tasty small white loaf

Staff helpful with a smile and a friendly face, good range of cakes and bread, will make you up a sandwich if you arrive later in the day.

Went this morning for a bacon butty. It wasn't good. But i did get a mince muffin for later that looks good. However i witness one of the women working there being awful to a disabled man who was asking for help.She was so rude. Little poisoned old battleaxe.

bit small and pricey but if we dont use it we'll lose it so go x the staff are always really friendly though, sadly they serve pie with cabbage instead of mint sauce lancashire stylee not Yorkshire grrr

The staff here are very nice and always have a smile for my 4 year old son, which he loves. The quality of the food is great and you can tell its all fresh! You have the offer of a pre-made sandwich (that was made that morning) or you can pick to make your own and have it done in front of you on the nicely laid out sandwich bar. I really do like Oddies and to say they have so many shops (around 16 altogether) but are still a family run company, its great. You see the Oddies van there every morning at 8 to bring all the freshly made bread, cakes and pies.

The gingerbread rounds are amazing.this place is Quite like Gregg's, it is a northern bakery chain.pasties and pies

I won't be using Oddies again! The service here was terrible! Visiting Todmorden on a regular basis I called in to the bakery for the first time to grab lunch on the go. Despite the bakery offering a wide selection of sandwich fillings, savouries and confectionery, I was 'greeted' by an abrupt member of staff with an unwelcoming tone and attitude to her voice. This wasn't the best first impression. The overall atmosphere here could have been cut with a knife and I was made to feel like I was an inconvenience. The establishment has several members of staff so you can guarantee a quick and efficient service but value for money is poor. If you are ordering a sandwich, make sure you have checked if your sandwich has already been pre made in the fridge otherwise you'll be belittled and made to feel like an idiot for not doing so. The bread cakes (teacakes), sausage rolls are smaller in comparison to those you might find in other reputable bakeries but the price doesn't reflect this. Overall disappointing and clearly not a great place to work given the unhappiness of the staff.
