Staff were very nice, was willing to have a nice chat. I didn’t get names but the staff around 5pm Saturday 6th July, were generally very nice. The Boar Burger was delicious and my Grandma really enjoyed her pulled pork burger. Highly recommend to anyone in the area.

After waiting nearly an hour and half from ordering for this to be delivered the food on the English breakfast was practically inedible. Freezing cold, the bacon was rock hard so much so you could snap it. Poached eggs were actually fried, not so much of a big deal had there been a yolk to be able to eat. Had heard good things about this place but won’t be going back in any rush

I have ordered a Cesar salad for the second time and I'm safe to say I think this is the best Cesar salad I have eaten in Halifax. Food is so nice and delivery so quick! I will definitely order again :)

After reading such great reviews we were looking forward to having lunch here. Disappointed with our choice .Chicken burger ok but the chips were so dry and thin it was like eating matchsticks ! Asked for vinegar and a very large bottle was produced definitely not in keeping. Coffee was excellent but my saucer had a large chip in it. The staff are lovely,chatty and attentative. Perhaps it was the wrong menu choice 🤔

We enjoyed breakfast this morning on our first visit to Totem. Delicious vegetarian breakfast for me, beautifully presented and a good sized portion that I struggled to finish. My mum had the half English breakfast which was the perfect size for a small appetite and thoroughly enjoyed hers too. Washed down with refreshing mimosas. A lovely Sunday morning treat.

Really lovely staff, dog friendly, answered my nut allergy questions pesto contains cashews not singularily pine nuts (which are a seed not a nut). Kids had kids menu... Hindsight i forget my kids ages lol 🤣 they are not 5 any more but 10 and 11 and 5ft. I should have got them and adult main. Thats defo my bad! I forget how big theyve got. Kids: Kids mac and cheesr tasted good! Slight sweet like a nigella mac and cheese. Tasted fresh homemade. Chicken nuggets and hash brown tots!! Winner my kids arent allowed that kind of stuff at home (im mean, i know!! 🤣) My chicken club was lovely. Im not into mayo at all but the aioli (did i spell it right) was really nice Husband had boar burger he loved it!!! It was sagey super moist. He said next time he would love it to be extra crispy!! He cant wait to return and have that! Grandma had pesto chicken paninni it was a big one!! She loved it everyone elsr tasted it said it was amazing!! Overall solid 9/10 Only feedback is maybe some more lighter options/ couple more salads/soups/ veggie stuff as its jan 👍👍😬 and were all on a diet! 🤣 Your younger lady servers were incredible! Nice cosy place for a bite to eat with friendly staff. Tried the Breakfast Burger which came with a poached egg in which was done perfect with a runny egg once broken. The burger itself I think could have done with a little more cooking for my taste but overall very good. Came with a side order of potato tots which were excellent.

First time we had been here! Thought it was Lovely place. friendly & welcoming. Takes cash or card payments. We did not eat on this occasion. I had Irish coffee and friend had Latte. We really enjoyed. Thought it was great value and service . Will definitely return soon.

Disappointing. Ciabatta sandwich was OK, but the ciabatta bread was too soft and not crusty at all. A simple sandwich took over 35 minutes to arrive, even though there were only two other occupied tables when I ordered. The excuse given was “our computer system is playing up” - but how does that affect the time taken to make a sandwich? 🤔

I booked at table for two for last Monday the other Saturday I got there . There was no table free and I was put near the kitchen and toilet they iffered me upstairs but as Iam registered blind I declined I was waiting for my sister as it was her late birthday treat so we decided to ge elsewhere the person that was in charge that day clearly didn't care about us and it showed I won't be going there again I've had great service from there before but this time it want good enough .

Amazing place! Really busy due to Christmas markets but as always step up to the mark in service and food as always! Sunday roast was a delightful welcome today and appealed very much on a cold afternoon! Seriously too notch roast for the price with seasonal veg freshly done like the rest of the food to a high standard! Booking potentially required if it continues to grow in demand for such awesome food.

Lovely, friendly staff. Every time I've gone in they've jumped to help me with anything I need before I even ask. Good food, fairly priced and a large selection of quality drinks. Perfect place to bring a friend for a coffee, grab a bite to eat with your little one or a small celebration with work colleagues. Wait times are reasonable and I've never had to wait long at all for the food. Most of all, the staff are what makes dining in this place a great experience.

There’s not many places you can go for a Sunday lunch in town centre so I’m so happy that this place has started doing it. Beautiful Sunday lunch so tasty, very filling. There was a good choice of starters mains and desserts. I had a lovley evening with good food friends and family. 💕

Called in for a mid week lunch and was not disappointed. Plenty of choice on the menu. The lamb tagine and tiramisu are out of this world. Service was friendly and quick, this is now one of my favourite places in Halifax.

This is a reply to your reply that there is no excuse whatsoever for your staffs behaviour and that of the management which was clearly that of management too. I have with my Father operated high end Restaurants in London and have many friends in the industry who would also have the same concerns I won't return. And furthermore your treatment of a disabled person my Wife is a disgrace period. So if you consider that an apology it wasn't and I am even more annoyed and it just shows the attitude of your establishment and believe me if you wish to succeed at all it needs changing I find it shows a lack of humility.

Fabulous Saturday afternoon at totem drinking delicious cocktails, eating lovely food and listening to great music. Can’t praise it enough - service was excellent and just an outstanding experience in Westgate. Well done all 😀😀

Have been here a couple of times now for something light to eat and without doubt this is one of the nicest places to come to for a light snack. Based in Westgate Arcade gives the place a pleasant atmosphere with the ability to eat outside all year round no matter the weather. The staff are very friendly and don't leave you waiting around for service. The food itself is excellent, i highly recommend the Chicken club sandwich, perhaps the best i have ever had. The Moroccan stew is also very tasty. Totem also do delicious milkshakes. Highly recommend that you give Totem a chance.

Fabulous!! We attended before the sister sledge / Jackson’s concert - on a really busy sunny evening. Instead of turning us away like other establishments, They took my number and promised to call as soon as a table was available- they found us a table in record time - so friendly and really helpful staff. Mezze platters were soooo good, scotch eggs were delicious! My sister is gluten free and they accommodated her requirements easily. Honestly could not recommend more - a gem of a place will 100% be back. Cocktails delish, re poured my sisters ping when it didn’t have a “head” on without us asking. Perfect rose wine Brilliant start to our evening at the peace hall - thank you!!

Thought we'd try a breakfast with a difference to the usual when it came presented au Michelin star never seen a breakfast look so cool,flavours good soda bread toast compliments the ingredients perfectly and bloke came around and explained our curiosities friendly polite and accepts compliments well,good experience 👍👍

Under new ownership with a new menu offering coffee, cakes, breakfast and lunch with the option to enjoy a beer or wine alongside. Have been a few times and can highly recommend the locally sourced coffee and the breakfast bagel which is delicious. Great service and lot's of exciting changes ahead from chatting to the new owners.

Went for breakfast with my husband and daughter and couldn't fault it. It was the nicest breakfast I have had in a long time. My husband had a full english and I had the continental. High quality ingredients used and cooked very well. The staff were very attentive and looked after our daughter very well, she really enjoyed her waffles. The price was really reasonable and I would of happily paid more. Great food and service will definitely be visiting again.

Went for some food for the first time with my partner and Cinnamon you did not fail to impress! Food was hot, delicious and really worth the price! Local and just been for lunch and won't be returning! Last time visited was summer 2022 and had a lovely lunch but it is now under new management and leaves a lot to be desired. Whilst most of what was ordered came fine I ordered the all day avocado sourdough single slice toast with beetroot hummus and 2 poached eggs. Busy with a baby and catering for their needs didn't realise my order was absent of the poached eggs! I came away thinking why am I so hungry! This coupled with a scraping of avocado and a squiggle of hummus for nearly £8 is a total rip off. Lots of young staff whose only interest is chatting away with each other rather than catering to the needs of customers. Poor service and a real lack of attention to detail to and meager portion...sorry won't be back. In these times where money is tight you need to work a lot harder to retain cutom.

Lovely little cafe! We visited on a Sunday for lunch, 2 parents and 2 children under 5. Menu was quite small but the food was lovely and all reasonably priced. The adults had the full english breakfast which was cooked beautifully. The 2 kids had scrambled eggs on toast and they ate everything which is a good sign! We appreciated the little touches like high chairs, baby change area and children's cutlery being available. We overheard the staff telling another group they had just recently taken over and had plans to expand the menu which would be great. Staff were welcoming and friendly.

Only popped in for a little cake, well worth the price and all staff were very polite. Had cream and strawberries on as well!

The New Owners are doing brilliant, If you fancy BRUNCH this is were to go, food is very well presented, Egg lovers will not be dissapointed with a selection of Egg dishes along with other tasty dishes... Very Clean and friendly, Cinnammon has 2 floors you won't be dissapointed

Called in for drinks and food. Somebody had just left a table so we sat down, staff did not come and remove dirty cups for 10 minutes and then didn’t bother to wipe the table. There were 4 of us. Someone came to take our order and walked off after only taking 3 drinks orders, had to go ask for the 4th drink. Drinks eventually came and there were only 3 drinks, so again had to ask for 4th drink. The 3 drinks that were brought to the table were all large when we didn’t ask for large. The 4th drink that came was supposed to be a hot chocolate with cream and marshmallows and was just a hot chocolate. Someone came over 25 minutes after we had sat down and then asked if we wanted to order food! Kindly declined after such poor service with the drinks and the length of time taken. It is also very expensive compared to other cafes close by. Will not be visting again.

Downstairs was full, so we sat upstairs. As the first there it was a bit chilly, but It soon filled up. Plenty Gf options, but pie of the day was Shepherds pie. So my desire for pastry and chips wasn't met, still tasty though. My partners chicken kebab looked amazing and was a lot bigger than she'd expected

Whenever we’ve visited Cinnamon we’ve always had a great experience. There’s plenty of choice on the menu from various types of sandwiches to main meals. This time the service was extremely quick, the food was tasty and the portion sizes made it very good value for money. I can’t understand the negative reviews as it doesn’t reflect our experiences.

Its was my first and last visit! Had a least 4 waiting staff all behind the counter chatting and very unattentive! Gave our order and the waiter had to return twice more asking about our order, forgot cutlery and my food which was fish gougons which were small and over cooked! A expensive fish finger and potato wedges! Disappointed

It was lunchtime so we understood the waiting time, but when the food eventually came it was less than satisfactory. We ordered a halloumi and avocado sandwich, in which there was more batter than actual halloumi and very little flavour, and a tuna sandwich which was very small for the price. We are Asian. We do not play the race card, but here is what happened - a young waitress was sent to our table BEFORE our food was brought out and asked if we could go inside and pay right now please, which my husband did. We thought this general policy for the cafe, which would have been fine, but then we noticed many customers going in and paying AFTER they had eaten. Was this derogatory treatment? I hope not.

I met a friend today for a coffee at Cinnamon but was disappointed with the experience. The server was being shadowed by a trainee. Two cappuccinos were served but there was no coffee taste ,even weaker than a latte would have been. Also they had a strange taste as if made with UHT or long life milk. My friend returned the "coffees" to the counter. The server returned with the trainee who in her inexperience spilt the contents into the saucers. The server then wanted to charge for two coffees with two extra shots (with small packet of biscuits) which came to over £9. My friend being assertive stated she was not going to pay for the extra shots as she wasn't happy with the original "coffee". This was resolved once the server referred the matter to her manager. In the past I have enjoyed going to Cinnamon but this makes Me doubtful about a return I'm afraid

I was in a hurry to grab a quick lunch. I had a very good coffee and a tuna and cucumber sandwich that I really enjoyed it. The staff was very efficient and quick. Definitely, I will be back.

I visited here with some friends for a catch up, we've been a number of times before and enjoyed it. Today was a terrible experience which spoilt our lunch together. Firstly I asked for the Gluten Free menu, which wasn't particularly exciting, so as I had previously, I asked if I could swap n change a view items, though this was met with disapproval and confusion. We were served our water but my latte was nowhere to be seen. When the food arrived my friend found a hair in her salad and my GF bread was stale.i mentioned this to the waitress who immediately was offended stating 'she felt she couldn't please me'. To state we were all astounded is an understatement ! Her attitude and inability to provide a friendly service went from strength to strength and can only be described as unprofessional and down right rude. She even continued at the till, where she offered my friend a free cake as an apology for the hair, and myself a free coffee.......yet I'd not actually received the latte I had ordered! So after another arguememt we left.... minus the cake! Would not recommend this cafe at all!

Wandered looking for somewhere for lunch and saw diner's food which looked delicious so chose here. Lovely staff who were working very hard. Warned us of a wait as short staffed, but we didn't actually wait as long as they said. Had the tandoori chicken flatbread, and the lamb kofta. Both delicious, nicely presented, and obviously freshly made. Extremely good value. Couldn't fault anything.

First time ordering online and it won't be the last. Excellent presentation. Food and drink where still warm. Tuna panini was absolutely scrumptious. Salad and crisps where an extra added touch. We were visiting Halifax after a decade and were eager to try out a nice restaurant. We settled on Cinnamon after reading some positive Google reviews. We were a group of 3 adults and 3 kids. We ordered kids pasta, kids jacket potato, kids veggie burger, falafel sandwich, one roast chicken sandwich,onion rings, chunky chips and a vegan flatbread. To start with some positive, out of all the food that we ordered, only onion rings was tasty and could be had in full by us. Jacket potato was Ok. They gave some fancy paper mockup of a princess chariot which excited the kids. The staff was very friendly and approachable. Now for the sad part, the presentation of food has to be improved tremendously because every plate had no space in it. We had no idea why there was salad in every item we ordered which took up half of the space in the plate already. There was so much food in kids menu that any kid cannot finish. In kids pasta, we had to search for pasta. Mushrooms in the pasta was not washed up properly as we could taste sandy substance. There was a full baby corn and veggies in full size in the kids menu. We felt very guilty to waste a lot of food as a result. In summary, we strongly recommend that the portion in a kid's menu has to be seriously reduced. Presentation should be improved so plates are not overflowing. Quality of the vegetables need to be considered and made better. Please take this review in good spirit.

Amazing food, friendly staff. I mean wow, I super hungry and in the mood Jacket spuds and loads of salad, the lovely young lady who took our order was outstanding and wasn't joking about portion sizes. My Mom couldn't cope haha, but I battled on and wow, still couldn't finish it all but most off it. The milk shakes are mouthgasm worthy, the prices are totally fair. The service from start to finish was just amazing, clean and tidy. A++++++

Ordered food at 1:05, the waitress took the order, then double checked, then checked again. took 45 minutes for two flatbreads to finally come out, noticed one order was wrong, ordered quorn Pepperoni flatbread only for it to finally come out without the quorn🙄 after...

I'd like to give ZERO stars, but I can't. I ordered a tea and cinnamon latte, only the coffee didn't taste of coffee, it tasted of milk and sugar. Returning the coffee immediately, I think I spoke to the manager who explained that it was already a double shot of coffee, but she would make me another. This turned out exactly the same, I just couldn't taste the coffee. But she said she would add more shots of coffee if required. To be honest, I gave up after taking a sip of the second cup. It was disgustingly sweet and coffee free. It even looked like milk without coffee. When it came time to pay, I refused to pay for the coffee, but then I was blamed for accepting it, because the manager said she would add more shots of coffee, so it was now my fault??? Even though it was left untouched on the table, it's my fault? DO NOT GO TO CINNAMON at westgate, I know I won't. On a side note, I also bought some shortbread biscuits and they were stale. This isn't the fault of the cafe or staff, and they weren't out of date.
